Ilia was so super different from Nabata, it was also so super similar. It was like the same thing, but a different color and colder. Not that the cold bothered him much, or at all really. He liked it, it felt so different from Nabata which is really hot all the time. Stomping through the sand isn't nearly as fun as stomping in the snow. That's what it was called, right? Snow. He asked some lady and she just laughed and told him it was snow, he's never seen it before. It was like sand in every way except all of them. It was soft and crunchy and tasted like water and the ground hid underneath it. He wondered why, he also wondered if that meant the ground hid underneath the sand too. He's never digged that far, it was all swishy and any time you moved sand it just swooshed back into place and there was no where to put it. It made it really hard to dig in sand.
The towns were fun, there were lots of people and they all seemed really nice, and a lot of them wondered why he wasn't wearing a coat. He never wore a coat before though, so why would he now? What were coats for anyways, they just seemed silly to the dragon. He played with some of the other kids, they taught him to make a 'snowman' or something. It was a bunch of snowballs on top of each other with a little hat. He wanted to make a snow dragon, but he couldn't find a hat big enough.
Outside of the towns though... it was really lonely. The other places had lots of travelers and plants and animals and stuff, but in Ilia it was quiet. He didn't see anyone traveling, and all the animals must be hiding. He wondered if his mom and dad came here. He didn't really remember much about them... but he thought they might like it here. It was always so cold, it felt nice. Still, now that he was here he couldn't even begin to know where to go. All the people in the towns were so super younger then him, they probably wouldn't remember if his parents came by. So he walked the roads between towns alone, wondering just what he should do. His little dragon wings proudly on display from his back, he kind of wanted to turn into a dragon. He was told not to though, he was told that if he ever went into the human world to not turn into a dragon unless it was his last choice. Humans didn't like dragons, which was funny since all the humans he met seemed to like him at least a little bit. He was afraid to do it anyways. Hopefully his mom and dad didn't turn into a dragon around humans.
He looked up at the sky, he thought he heard something, it was quiet except for the wind but his ears thought he heard something. He hoped it wasn't anything bad.

If Ilia was good for one thing aside from being cold, it was good for letting one travel in peace. In most locations, Nax preferred to take flight sparingly, but in Ilia it was quite easy to take advantage of her wings and move about quicker than usual. The frost and cold winds tended to not bother her either, though it did require a bit of heat magic, admittedly. But hey, natural benefit of being a Fire Dragon.
If one took Ilia to be a sign of the rest of the world, then one might think the world very white and dull though. Palenax's cloak continued to flap around due to the wind, her wings doing all of the work to keep her moving, but perhaps it was starting to get close to time to set down again. She began to slow her pace, starting to look around. No people in sight, but... Ah, there did look like someone up ahead, though it was kind of small, even for the distance she spotted them at. A child?
The Fire Dragon dropped to the ground, her wings vanishing as she wrapped her cloak around herself, starting to stride forward with a quick walk. The child was still walking on ahead of her, alone now that she got a better look. What was this child doing?
"Hello!" She called out to him now, curious about this odd Ilian child.

He did hear something. Solomon quickly tucked his wings away, humans didn't like dragons. He didn't want to give people a reason to not like him. He wasn't entirely sure how the whole wing thing worked, it just did, and somehow he was able to make them poof away like opening and closing his hand. He turned around to see a lady there that wasn't there when he turned around a few minutes ago. It spooked him, but for only a minute. He doesn't pay attention all that good sometimes and lots of time can pass when that happens. Once he was the clouds in the sky and when he stopped it had been like a week, and he didn't even notice. Still those clouds were nice, at day at night and it even stormed and he saw lightning! It was exciting. So maybe he had been standing there for a long time without even realizing it, humans did things so fast.
He stomped through the snow with heavy steps, it went up to his knees and made his pants all wet. He looked at the lady, she was tall with really long blond hair and a cool hat. He didn't recognize her, well duh, but she looked different from all the other people he saw. He couldn't really understand what it... oh she wasn't wearing one of them coat things. That was weird, but then again he didn't know what coats were for anyways. "Hi!" He waved at her with a big smile. He wondered what she wanted, but whatever it was he was happy she was there because it was really boring just walking by his self. Ilia was so boring when it wasn't so fun.
He should probably say something. "Um..." The ice dragon muttered. "My name's Solomon." There we go, that's good. Always introduce yourself, that's what Kali always told him.

"My name's Solomon."
"Well, it's nice to meet you Solomon. My name is Nax." She introduced herself in turn, starting to take stock of the boy as he got closer. She could have sworn she'd seen a coat about his shoulders earlier, but perhaps that was just the snow playing tricks as it was won't to do. Especially with how the boy seemed to be as white as said element of nature. He didn't wear as much clothing as many Ilians usually did, but perhaps being born here sometimes came with a better resistance of the cold?
"If you don't mind my asking Solomon, what are you doing out here all alone? Shouldn't you be back at your village?" She briefly looked down the road to the one she'd noticed nearby. This child was quite far from home. "It's dangerous out in these conditions, you know."

"My village?" Oh she means Arcadia. Wow that wasn't anywhere near here. It'd be hard for him to go back to it. Also if he went back he probably wouldn't be able to leave again, he's seen dragons who leave and come back. They never leave Arcadia again, which is sad. He's only been out for a while now and already he's learned a ton of junk and seen a bajillion things he didn't even know existed! This Elibe place was big. "My village is far away. Really really far away." He waved his hands to show just how really it was. It was on the other side of this Elibe place. Arcadia was so super small when he thought about it. It was weird, since it always seemed so big to him.
"I'm looking for my parents." The frosty dragon just outright said. "They left a long time ago and never came back, and I don't know where they went. So I'm trying to find them." He crossed his arms, frowning just thinking about it. "I'm gonna bring them back home." He added, nodding to his self. "I'm all alone because... I dunno." He didn't. Why was he going alone? He shrugged. "No one wanted to go looking with me, so I decided to go by myself." Mrs.Kali said it was better to just not worry about it... but then Mrs.Kali died. He missed her a lot.
Did she say it was dangerous? It didn't seem dangerous. "It doesn't seem dangerous." He stated, looking around. "It feels nice out today actually." He smiled.

Hmm... This child was definitely an odd one. Apparently his village was quite far away, though whether that was just a child's estimate of the nearby one or one even further out, she wasn't sure. That statement of how he was looking for his parents didn't exactly help the matter.
"I see. I suppose the weather's not so bad out." She briefly looked around again, debating on what to do with the little boy. She didn't see a sign of anyone else traveling along, perhaps she should take him back to the nearby village? "You say you're looking for your parents, right? Well, what do they look like? I might have seen them on my way here." The golden haired woman felt a measure of pity for the child. She usually didn't care about most Humans, but she always did have a weak spot for children. Innocent and unknowing, it was cute.
Besides, it wasn't like she had anything better to do right now.

"My parents? Oh that's easy." He perked up and grinned widely, and immediately began to describe them. "They have... wait no. They are... They look like... t-they..." He sunk as each moment passed. "I... I don't remember." He couldn't remember? Why couldn't... "It was... It was a long time ago. I can barely remember..." When he thought of his mom and dad, he thought of his 'mom' and 'dad' they were more words in his mind than actual people. When he thought about his parent it was easy, but when tried to describe them he realized he didn't know what they look like at all. He was so young at the time, it was seventy years ago. Barely one hundred at the time, he simply didn't remember. Where they kind? Did they look like him? All he could remember is the feeling 'soft' and fuzzy white.
"I'm sorry Ms. Nax." His eyes fell as he stared at his feet sunken into the snow. "I don't remember. I was just a toddler. They've been gone a long time." He felt bad now, a sort of icky feeling in his chest. Like a squiggly cloud that was gonna start raining and booming. "I think they look like me, but I don't know." He answered, sounding sad. "White hair maybe, I remember white." What was he saying? Obviously she never saw them, that was seventy years ago and this lady was like twenty. It probably happened before she was born. "You probably didn't see them." He added, a small smile trying to work it's way onto his face. "But thank you Ms. Nax."

The Fire Dragon began to frown as the boy's expression fell. His voice began to stutter and trail off as he realized that he couldn't remember what his mother and father looked like. Nax sighed as he finished, starting to think once more. White hair wasn't that common, even in Ilia. Perhaps they could check there...
"Well, even if I haven't seen them, someone else might have. Maybe we should go by the village nearby and see if anyone's seen them there, huh?" She couldn't exactly leave this kid alone, animals and other less savory beasts could still be a danger, even if he'd been safe up until now. A child shouldn't be placed in danger if it could be helped. "Even if someone hasn't seen them, we could always stop in and get something to eat before looking elsewhere."

The lady wanted to go with him to the next village, and she even said they could go get something to eat. That's good, it's been a while since he's eaten. There's not many animals around here, no cows either, he almost at a horse earlier but that wasn't nice so he didn't. People liked horses, it'd be like eating a dog, though he's never seen too many of those. There was a lot of things you don't see in Nabata. He always had food though, even though it was the middle of the desert, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense but he didn't really think about it until now. Oh well not something he needed to worry about now, he wasn't in Arcadia anymore and he wasn't gonna go home without his parents. "That sounds great, thank you Ms. Nax."
Solomon looked back at the road they were traveling down, and then forward towards the road they were walking. "I've already been to the place that way." He said as he pointed behind them. "I didn't find anything, but I learned how to make a snowman." He smiled. He looked at the snow at the side of the road, he never did make that snow dragon. He turned towards where they were walking, and pointed down the road. "There should be something that way. If you follow these roads they usually go from town to town." Solomon figured that out on his own too, he felt proud. He had wondered what 'roads' were for, since in Arcadia there wasn't any that lead out of town. The ice dragon was happy to have someone to walk with now.
That made him think. "Hey Ms. Nax, you asked why I was out here but why are you out here by yourself?" He knew why he traveled alone, but he didn't know why she did. She seemed like the kind of person with lots of friends.

"I've already been to the place that way."
Nax briefly looked back down the way he pointed. Well, either that wasn't the village he was from or he didn't want to go back since no one knew where his parents were. Either way, the other path down the road was still open. At least the child wasn't trying to go over a mountain or through one of the snow covered forests in the cold region. Those would be even more dangerous than what he was already doing. Either way, she started to go down the road, traveling along with the little boy for the time being.
"Hey Ms. Nax, you asked why I was out here but why are you out here by yourself?"
"Ah, well I decided that I wanted to see the world by myself. There's alot of new places and alot of new people to meet around here, y'know? It does the mind well to see more of the world and all of the things in it. At the same time, it really isn't something for a child to be doing alone either." She looked down at Solomon once more. "But when you're grown, a trip around the world can be quite exciting and knowledgeable."

It was snowing right now, that's what it's called when snow comes from the sky right? So their tracks were quickly filled with fresh white snow. The path was hard to see underneath the snow, so there were lots of signposts along the sides of it. They didn't say much, but it helped people see where they were going. There were big tall green trees that looked funny, they didn't have any leaves but little pointy green things that felt all prickly, they weren't on the path but were at the sides from time to time. There were even whole forests of them, he saw them when he was flying earlier. They weren't going that way, he didn't think his parents would go that way. He wanted to visit all the towns first, see if they were living there. He didn't really know what they looked like, but he knew that if he saw them he'd know who they were. Kids could feel that about their parents right? They say parents know their kids without any words needing to be said, so it worked the other way too right?
He hadn't really thought over it much. He just kinda left. He didn't have a plan. He didn't notice until now when he met Ms. Nax. Ohhh... Solomon you're so dumb. You don't want people to treat you like a little kid, and here you are acting like one. He crossed his arms with a sour look as he walked forward down the path. Listening to what the lady said. "I know what you mean, I learned more since I left then I even knew I didn't know. There's also a lot lot lot of people, I never seen so many." He was convinced the whole world was like Nabata back when he was in Arcadia. A small city with dragons and humans, but not too much of either. There were a few other dragons his age, but not many. Most were really really old, and he didn't get to speak to them much. They were always busy being adults or something. Humans were fun, but they only stayed his age for like two years, that's no time at all. Then they're 'teenagers' and they're 'too old' for him and that's stupid. He was a teenager back when he was a baby.
There really wasn't a lot of young dragons. It always felt so lonely... and once Mrs. Kali died... He liked it better out here.
"I'm not a child." He puffed up his cheeks and pouted. "I can take care of myself just fine." He wasn't a child. "I wanna see the world too." He added, if adults did that so could he. "Not just to find my parents either, I wanna see all of the everything. I never left my village when I was younger. I didn't even know snow existed. It's nothing like sand at all."
He fidgeted a little as he walked, taking big steps to keep up with the grown woman's stride. "So you're traveling to see things?" He asked. "Have you seen lots of cool things?"

The cold winds of the north continued to blow and the soft snow continued to pour down from above. Slowly, but surely all tracks they had left behind were covered once more, as if neither of the Dragons had ever passed by. Silence reigned for a time and Nax took a bit more stock of her surroundings while it did. The signs were easy to follow at least, which eased the difficulty of finding the trail when the snow became particularly deep.
"Not just to find my parents either, I wanna see all of the everything. I never left my village when I was younger. I didn't even know snow existed. It's nothing like sand at all."
...Sand? She looked over at Solomon. He came from a village where there was lots of sand, but no snow? ...That comment about not being a child began to take a new meaning in Nax's mind. She started to doubt this was a Human child at all. Yes, she supposed it made sense now that she reflected back upon it, there's no way a child would be off in the middle of practically nowhere alone or dealing with the cold so easily, even in Ilia.
"So you're traveling to see things?"
"Yes, that's right."
"Have you seen lots of cool things?"
"I have indeed, but..." She paused and stopped in her tracks, kneeling down to look at Solomon's eyes directly while placing a hand upon one of his shoulders. "Solomon, I want to ask you a very important question. Exactly where are you from, Solomon?"

He had made a little game out of it, hopping in the snow. Nax move much faster then him since she was taller so he had to take big steps to keep up. He hopped forward every once in a while, stopping whenever the lady turned around and pretending he had been doing nothing. Just smiling coyly. Then she stopped. She stopped walking, and Solomon almost crashed into her, waving his arms to keep his balance. She turned and bent down to his level and looked him right in the eyes. It made him feel... like he was in trouble. Instinctively he said the first thing on his mind, eyes wide open and looking worried. "I'm sorry." She didn't seem to be scolding him though. So he calmed down, and took a deep breath.
"I'm from... um... I don't remember what it's called. But there's a lot of sand everywhere and it's really hot. There's not a lot of people who live there, so I never left home much." Nabata was the word he was looking for, but he didn't really know it that well. He only knew the place as 'home' and not it's actual name. He didn't even know that this whole big planet thing was called Elibe until a little bit ago. This place was called Ilia, he knew that because lots of people had said it, but he never heard a lot of people say 'Nabata' back home. He heard 'Arcadia' but he was told to never tell anyone he was from there.
"Have you ever been there?" He tilted his head as he looked at her with an innocent smile. "There's not a lot of people but it's still nice, you should go there one day." The fact it was incredibly dangerous to non-dragons didn't really register in the young dragon's mind. He had a hard time imagining how being a human was, he was so used to being a dragon that he knew nothing else. It was nice around Arcadia, not too hot, there was some magicky stuff that kept it nice for all the humans who lived there. The rest of the place was like super hot though. It felt really nice at night though.

"Do you mean Nabata?" The golden haired woman prompted after listening to the young boy. Quite the long distance of travel for a human child...
"Have you ever been there? There's not a lot of people but it's still nice, you should go there one day."
"I can't say I have of late." She paused. "But I figured I'd visit an old place I know of when I go back there. A place by the name of Arcadia." Nax removed her hand from his shoulder, resting it upon her knee. "You wouldn't happen to know such a place, would you Solomon?" Now, let's see what the boy had to say.

"Nabata? That's a funny name." He's heard the word before, but never really knew what it meant. Now he did. Learning things even in the middle of nowhere, Elibe was a pretty cool place. Nax seemed really interested in where he's from though, it was a little... weird. She was looking him in the eyes and everything, it felt like she was wanting him to say something but he didn't know what it was. That wasn't good, he hoped he would figure it out so she wouldn't be sad.
Then she mentioned Arcadia. His already wide eyes widened even more as he looked away, biting his lip. "Uh... Um..." He mumbled. Oh no was he gonna get in trouble? How did this lady know about Arcadia? "I-I dunno." He stuttered. "M-maybe." He tried to smile, but it was completely fake. His brow remained knitted and worried looking and he had a hard time looking directly at her.
