Lucius stood on the dock waiting as the ship rolled in. Finally the cargo was here, he'd just need to speak to the captain to work out a deal. It was a pirate's ship and the cargo he sought was silver weaponry. Not for him however but rather for the Bern rebels. If he could strengthen them to fight harder and potentially extend their campaign out to the rest of the world he would be satisfied. Of course Ilia would see their share of the goods as well, but for them he would save the steel variants.
The men of the sea tied down the ship and paid the royalties like a good civilian would. But everything aboard was dirty. The captain came down the boards to the dock beside her first mate. "Good day captain. How the voyage fair?"
"Eh? Lucius? din' expect ya already. You coulda given us a bita time ya know. But it's good ta see ya all the same. Come, we will discuss the deal at the tavern, I could use a good strong pint rightabout now." The captain gave Lucius a hug and the three began to walk. "The jolly is in bad shape. It has character but it don't really fly anymore I think we need a new one."
The first mate nodded in agreement before signing something Lucius couldn't discern.
"HA HA HA HA!!! I think ye are right!"
Lucius remembered how the man had his tongue cut out, so he had to sign everything. "What did he say."
The captain adjusted her bandanna and thought a moment. "He says you look a bit rough since last time we met."
"I was last in Ilia looking to make connections. I found a fair few small shops but most want out of these conflicts until it's at their door." Lucius replied, not actually answering the question at hand.
"So by few, I take it ye mean three," she smirked as they entered the tavern. The captain and Lucius got a table in a secluded area while the first mate ordered the drinks. Lucius never understood the reasoning but they always said coin speaks louder than words.

Emil had to get away from that wench's judgmental gaze, and all of those 'do gooders' on the other side of the sea. "You can take a man out of the pirate life, but you can't take the pirate out of the man", or some crap like that. His former caption had always blubbered on about stuff like that and Emil ignored it like always. Anyways, Emil lacked two things. A ship and crew to roll with, he always knew how to fix that problem. After exiting the ship he got a ride on Emil traveled to the tavern.
Upon waling in he went to the bar and ordered the largest ale they served, turning around he placed his right elbow on the bar as he held the mug in his left. He took a swig as he scouted the room, everything looked pretty normal except one thing. That group in the secluded area, most of the time when you're in a room full of cut-throat men you would seclude yourself when you wanted privacy, why you needed privacy? to discuss important business matters that you rather not get out to the wrong ears. Emil took one last swig of his ale before pushing off the bar towards that group. Upon reaching the table he set his mug down with some force before placing both hands a few minutes away from it and leaning in. "I don't give a rat's ass what you're planning, I want in."

"'O the 'ell are you!?" Bonnie snapped looking the man up and down. He looked like a sea fairer she thought.
"Come now, Bonnie. I am out to make business partners. This could be productive and profitable." Lucius leaned forward onto the table with his fingers interlocked. His head faced Bonnie but his good eye was fixed on Emil. Lucius had a dark gleam that was missed only by the most trusting. "Join us for a spell. We were just discussing business. A trade in fact."
Bonnie held the pommel of her rapier at her side. If this was a trick the warrior would regret it, and so would Lucius. She eyed her first mate and he stood by at the bar with their drinks. He took a few swigs but was ready to pounce. It was odd for a stranger to approach like this. It could easily be a guard trying to play them into his hand. Lucius was completely calm though. Did he just stop caring or was he that confident?
"So to get you up to speed... what's your name?" Lucius realized despite the dramatics he never introduced himself. "I am Lucius."

"Who the hell am I? The real question is who the hell are YOU?" Either she was bold, or just plain out stupid. Hell for that matter, the same could be applied to Emil. He removed the axe from his back as he took a seat, propping one foot on the table and his drink in the other hand. "I would advise you from meeting in a public place such as this if you're going to get upset when somebody approaches you. The name is Emil Aurion."

"Bloody bastard," Bonnie spat.
"Pardon my friend. She is a bit tired and readjusting to being in harbor." Lucius had a friendly attitude and seemed relatively likable aside from his company. Lucius eyes Emil's boots taking note of the things stuck to the soles. To him it could tell stories of how he lived.
"Shut it Lucius."
"Now, on to the business. I am well aware of our local and how truthfully open it is. But notice, you are the first and only to really care. I'm not worried about others knowing my business here."
"I'd still like my damnable privacy," the captain glowered at Emil.
Lucius ignored her. Their transaction was in the process already, the discussions were only a formality. This newcomer on the other hand was interesting. "Now, have you ever heard of mines?" He assumed he had but it added a dramatic effect to ask.

"Get a room you two" Emil spat out in between drinks. It was an insult for both the way the two had argued like lovers, and the fact she's still upset about privacy in a bar. Just because one wasn't bold enough to approach them like Emil has, doesn't mean there isn't a prying ear or two. To the right buyer, being a nark paid very well at times, but he wasn't going to rub that in her face as well. "Mines eh? Kinda sorta. Was told to watch out for them when we raided towns a few months back, if they knew piracy was active near by they'd set them up and BOOM! if you weren't careful. Never had the privilege being the poor saps that were first off the boat, so I don't know." With one last chug Emil finished his drink, setting it on the table with force. "Why might you be asking about that?"

"To simply put it that is part of out transaction. I am delivering mines to her and she is returning the kindness in turn with weapons. Fire ships you see are effective distractions and very powerful to boot. You can break say, an entire blockade." If this man was a spy Lucius was either foolish or confident.
Bonnie stood. "Enough. Oo are oo with? Where are ye from? Who's crew are ye a part of mate? And what bloody interest do you ave with us?"
The first mate slipped a hand in his sleeve holding something just I'm case. Lucius however simply laughed. "Come now lass. He ain't a threat to ya." Lucius didn't really know one way or the other but if Bonnie kept threatening him it'd turn ugly regardless.
