Alt No. 7
Main: Ryu 219
Alts: Willow 139, Eren 137, Tamaya 65, Minerva 80, Locke 91, Yorick 47
Name: Ishoq Avjiga Chiqayotgan Bo'ronning O'g'il
Known As: Ishmael
Class: Shaman
Age: 44
Born in: Nabata
Appearance: Ishoq is a surprisingly solid man for a magician. His heavy, flowing robes usually hide his form, but when his robes are off, the large, very black man is surprisingly fit, with noticeable muscles. His tribal heritage has given him his unique appearance as a mystic or animist. Specifically, his robes are adorned with many intricate patterns, sewn in painstakingly with great care. Hung around his body are many charms and talismans, all of which has a story the man would be quite willing to share. Physically speaking, aside from his garb, Ishoq is a very commanding presence. His face, which is often set with a broad smile, is at odds with his large bulk.
Personality: Ishoq has a very nonstandard personality, for a shaman. He is extremely outgoing and gregarious, always willing to engage in friendly conversation or help out a complete stranger. He is fun-loving, often hazarding safety for the thrill of the moment. The laws of physics seem to have little bearing on the inerrably clumsy Ishoq, and he often finds himself smiling and apologizing to angry homeowners or village officials after they track him down, following the tell-tale trail of minor catastrophes such as broken fences, ruined vendor stands and the like, all brought on by the often unfocused and always klutzy Ishoq. However, when he feels threatened, the gentle man becomes vicious and bestial, striking out violently and explosively to protect what he values and holds dear, using the only precise and accurate tool available to him - magic.
Story: Ishoq, the eighth son of a seventh son, was the result of two loving and supportive parents, one a sage and one a bishop, who just wanted another child. He was consistently free of any sort of responsibility, since all the pressure rode on his older brother. As a result, Ishoq's magical abilities flourished and he was the recipient of a prestigious scholarship to attend the highest-ranked Etrurian Academy for magicians across Elibe. In his stay at the Academy, the young man developed his passion for the elder arts, and, after being expelled for his magical preferences, studied on the sly with the help of his mentor and longtime friend, Louis, honing and improving his craft. Following an ingratiation with the Etrurians spurred by the need of history teachers, he returned to work with Louis on research, but unfortunately, the elder man caught a chill and died after a research expedition in the mountains led to them becoming stranded in a blizzard. After Louis's death, Ishoq became the new Professor of Magical History at the Academy, and has been teaching there and conducting research for twenty years, in an attempt to honor his beloved mentor's memory. In recent times, with the onslaught of monsters and the civil disturbances in Bern, Ishoq has been increasingly coerced into running delivery 'errands' for the Etrurian government alongside his position as Professor, an unavoidable side job he thoroughly detests. His distaste stems not only from the inescapable and mandatory nature of the task, but also from the fact that he would much rather be observing nature or enjoying fine wine than acting as a courier for government bigwigs. After all, he is a professor, not a parcel-boy.
