Oh how long had it been? So tiring. So...boring. Wandering the endless tides of the desert, only to find more tides. The occasional wandering nomads in the distance could be seen through the optically deceptive wavering lines within the air as heat twisted and bent all around them. Through the wastes however, there was a privacy that could seldom be found anywhere else. Most humans considered the endless desert a vast land of death and absolute despair, though the sparse exception could be found scrounging out a life. Moving along the sands, with ghost like movements a figure danced about; as if not a care in the world could enter her mind. Long tresses of blue hair trailed behind, mimicking the turns and curves her body made as her feet slid along the sand. Though she did not recognize the heat for it's intensity, she did find it a tad uncomfortable. Luckily, even as she danced a small steam like frost seemed to be following behind her. It caused a great fog like shroud of steam to be slowly rising upwards; the intense clash of the constant heat meeting the cold that emanated from her body. The woman's golden bangles jingled quietly around her wrists as she guided her hands upwards.
Insanity would have set in to most humans were they to spend such time in heat as she did. After all, it was easy to see how with their frail bodies. So...soft and squishy. Ixenmi's left hand slid upwards along her right wrist as she danced. Energy pent up from having slept for a few days, and dancing had long been a hobby of hers. Her entire body moved with a rhythm that played out in her heard. However she longed to stretch. To fully stretch. Frozen gaze lingered as she looked around her before she slowly moved her hand down to her hip. A move most would have found purely done to seduce another; yet fingers slowly caressed the gemstone set into a bangle around her hip. The gemstone resonated to her touch with the energies within as it allowed her to shed her shell. She released the energy within the gem as her wings suddenly burst forth from behind the elegant cloak that had been tightly draped over her shoulders. The wings folded around her body and a solid crystalline shell of ice took roots around her.
It shattered in an instant to reveal a colossal beast. Scales coated in small palpable drifts of ice, a large dragon towering in height with a light blue hauntingly enchanting shade took form in the large sand dunes of the desert. Where heat made so many see vast incredible sites. Ixenmi let her wings extend fully as she flapped them several times to kick up sand that scattered like a small storm with her soaring upwards upon the boiling air currents. Cold followed her upwards as she flipped in the sky. How good it felt, to be free of the burdens by gravity. Even so; could she truly remain in such a form? Humans were so finicky...you would think them not but mice scurrying about in fear of the sight of a dragon. Though, perhaps they had good reason. Short though it lasted the brief foray into the sky and a single flip was all she would allow herself. Ixenmi was not one for restraint, and if she indulged too much she would not want to stop. her body declined as she fell downwards and landed with a muffled thud to the ground on all fours. The large Ice dragon lifted her gaze before she let her body recede. Wings flapped once and the magics returned to the stone as Ixenmi moved back to her human form. Soon light blue scales gave way to flawless porcelain skin with defined blue hair and the elegant dress she normally wore. Her wings tucked under the cloak before slowly receding as well.
With sand upturned, the woman slowly made her way out of the small sand storm she had kicked up. Standing atop a sand dune near by her..performance she noticed a small town near probably one of the few oasis'es within the entirety of Nabata. She walked to it slowly; deciding perhaps she would rest for a bit longer soon. Not that she had better to do.

Liv had no idea what her big sis was worried about. The people here seemed nice enough and she had to focus on their job. It should come to no wonder that while her sister worked, she had to keep herself more occupied. So began her current predicament of trying to figure out what to do. They had only recently traveled to this new land and she couldn't get enough.
Nabata was so much more different than Ilia and yet they were also so very alike. Instead of snow, they had sand, cold became hot and tanned skin was more norm than pale. Even the clothes were similar, she was practically forced into robes. It would be nice if she actually got a tan, instead it seemed as though her skin simply burned in the heat. Even with the constant sunburn, she liked it here and she wanted to see more.
Her sister knew her propensity to go out and explore. So she always had a time limit, she could only disappear for about a day before the manhunt began. It was far to restraining, but she understood the reasons behind it. There was still a lot that can be done in one day, so she always found a way to content herself.
"So explorer Liv, what do we have here?" she asked herself, cupping her right hand over her eye. They couldn't afford a spyglass, so she always found a way to substitute it. They were passing through the town on business and it seemed as though there weren't that many children to play with. She hadn't met anyone at least. It would have been rude to ask one of the working adults to play with her.
In the end, she had settled to see how far she could go out of town and back before Levity had to begin to worry. It had taken her days to properly learn how to walk on sand and climb the dunes, but now she considered herself moderately competent at the job. It was when she was scaling the sands and looking with her eye glass did she find her target. It was a lone lizard and one that she saw people kill and eat.
It wasn't a dangerous or poison creature, so she thought it was a great idea to try and catch it as a pet. So she began to make her way across the sand, her footsteps light and quick. It was silly how the armored Knights always have so much trouble while they traveled. Her focus was solely on the scurrying creature that she failed to notice that she was nearing the outer edges of the town. As soon as the creature began to dive into the sand, she dove for it, missing the creature and rolling across the sand until she hit something more solid. She looked up to see a pretty woman.
"Hi pretty woman! I'm Liv!" she introduced rather suddenly. It would be rude to not introduce herself. Then she thought better of herself and thought that she should explain what had happened.
"I was trying to catch a lizard, but I guess I sorta caught you instead, sorry," she giggled a bit and blushed, failing to notice the different air about the stranger.

Sandled footsteps took the woman to the bottom of another sand dun, knowing that above it would lead to the downwards slope of the town. Her hands lifted to clasp the sides of her shoulders as she stiffed a yawn. It wasn't as much that she was actually tired, but that she was bored. Hundreds of years aimlessly wandering left her wondering if it wasn't perhaps a good idea to make her way back to Arcadia. Atleast..it was more interesting there. That was when she noticed it. The tumbling mess of a child that fell down the sand before colliding into Ixenmi's legs. She merely stood there, looking down at the child for a moment as her hands fell to her sides, resting slightly upon her hips as her green gaze lingered upon the child. Human children were perhaps the only good version of a human. They were the most honest usually; being true to themselves.
Outstanding exceptions existed of-course, yet Ixenmi simply paused to gaze at the girl as she introduced herself. The small giggling child had been catching a lizard? Well, she hadn't entirely failed. Ixenmi would have considered herself far more than a mere...lizard yet she knew of human terminology and the fondness to associate the tiny pretenders with her own kind. The pale skinned Manakete spoke with a voice that seemed deceptively kind. Honeyed words while she smiled at the child kindly, only to lower herself a bit and ease the giggling mess of a girl to her feet and out of the sand. "You may have found me, but you did not catch me little-one. Liv? I see. It has been most unexpecting, to meet you Liv. You may call me Ixenmi."
The woman did not ignore the child, but after helping her up started to walk to the top of the sand dune. Green eyes fixed onto the town she suspected the child had wandered from. Hands once again shifted to her hips as she leaned most of her weight on her left leg. She looked back to the child curiously. "Is that the town you just came from Liv? " She tucked her cloak around her sides a bit more with her hands clasping the fabrics from within to make it cover most of her body so she was entirely draped in the light blue coverings; save for pale shoulders exposed and miraculously unphased by the sun. Perhaps the child would keep her boredom sated for a time.

"It's nice to meet you Ixe-," Liv began to say, but couldn't seem to figure out how to say the rest of the name. Her tongue seemed to refuse to pronounce the other parts of the name.
"Ixe, Ixeno, Ixegool, Ixemo," she continued to try, making a variety of faces as though she was tasting the name. By this point she had given up and just decided on a proper nickname for the woman. Since the stranger was a pretty woman and pies were also pretty (especially meat pies), she found a befitting name.
"Nice to meet you Ixe-pie!" She beamed, proud at the pretty name she managed to produce. By this point, the woman had started moving back up the dune. She quickly began to stumble after her, thanking her light clothing.
"That sounded like a challenge, I can totally catch you! A bunch of guys at another town showed me," she retorted, positioning herself within the woman's line of sight. Then she did her best to mimic the pose she learned, flexing her muscles or rather the lack of with her mom. She did a variety of poses before finally letting out a breath at the end. She then put her hands on her hips in triumph and looked at the town the woman was pointing at. Keeping one thought in her mind was not her strong point.
"Yep, my big sis is working around here, she goes all 'pscha'," she said, indicating the motion of a lance with her arm.
"One day I'm going to support her with my magic that goes all 'phffftmph'," she continued, making the sound of farts by vibrating her lips.
"Well it is less that, but more red and fire-y."

She chuckled as the girl struggled with her name. Even by human standards her name was difficult to pronounce, with her annunciating it quickly since she was naturally used to speaking her own name. In reality it was pronounced Ix-n-me but most hard a difficult name beyond the ix part. She wasn't entirely surprised as the girl blundered with her words. Initially, she decided she would help her. Until the girl suddenly spoke with her name as Ixe-Pie. It was..entirely absurd. Folding her arms over her chest for a moment Ixenmi gazed at her curiously. Did she want to go through the headache of addressing the this...or would she rather simply let her continue with the name? She couldn't admit it bothered her too much. Atleast coming from a child. An adult would have annoyed her with it.
She however watched now the absurd ways as the girl spoke of "catching" her. This wouldn't do. Ixenmi walked over to the girl placing a hand upon her shoulder delicately while she spoke in a tone remarkably confident. She would fix this. "No, nooo no no little Liv. It is not how you obtain someone. You do not catch people like this. Who ever taught you has done so poorly. We shall have to fix this."
The girl shifted her point quickly. Moving to talk of her sister doing some form of stabbing? That or that her sister would require the support of her with some red fire magic. Ixenmi tilted her head quizzically. Humans were certainly odd. This child standing as no exception. Ixenmi released the child's shoulder from thin fingers as she moved to start slowly walking down the sand dune, clearly in no real hurry as the girl had seemed keen to follow her; she could only assume she would continue such endeavors. "I take it your sister is the one who takes care of you?"

Liv made a sort of donut shaped gaping oh when she listened to the woman's explanation. A part of her felt severely cheated on the matter. Well it wasn't like she hired the men to teach her how to catch woman, she was simply watching and listening. It was just another way for her to pass her time while her sister was away.
"People catching seems hard and complicated, I don't think using a net works like it does with bugs," she thought aloud, scratching her head as she thought about it. Catching people was essentially making a friend as far as she could understand. The woman said she was going to teach her how to do it, so that can at least keep her busy for the day.
"I'm always ready to learn," she replied cheerfully, her face beaming and showing the excitement she felt at the prospect of learning pretty woman catching. As the woman moving down from the sand dune, she followed behind, slipping a few times, only to roll a few steps before getting back on her feet. All the falls and sand in the mouth won't stop her when she thinks she made a new friend. It wasn't everyday that she get to play with someone older than her and usually when that's the case it was usually with her sister.
"Yep, big sis takes care of me all by herself, that's why we moved out of Ilia," she answered, rubbing at her hair to get all the sand out.
"It's okay not to have parents, cause we're strong!" she remarked, a sort of beaming pride about her at the statement. It also helped that she didn't know her parents all that well to begin with.

This girl was certainly different. Strange perhaps didn't cut it on it's own. It wasn't a necessarily bad thing to stand out, and she saw a slight portion of herself in this girl. The naive happy go-lucky attitude which she possessed had a somewhat endearing nature to it as well. Silken icy blue strands of hair followed Ixenmi as she watched the girl tumble down the sand dune. Even when Ixenmi turned around a bit to walk down the sand dune backwards she seemed to maintain a poise and grace well practiced from her navigation of the desert for hundreds of years. Bright green eyes followed the tumble as she let a soft laugh grace her expression while she lifted a hand to block her smile with two coiled fingers. Ixenmi replied after a brief moment of returning to walk forwards. "It is only hard to catch people, if you don't know how to do it properly. No, silly girl a net is not used. You catch people a different way. Ahh, you are from Ilia are you?"
A land of ice and snow. It sounded flawless to the Ice Manakete. A place where she could feel the refreshing wondrous chill which typically gave her a sense of delight. Ixenmi felt curiosity fill her as she plied her with questions. This was a topic she was actually fascinated her. "Ilia you say..I hear it snows quite often there. That it has ice through out it and more often than not is cold enough that you can see your breath. Is this true? "

So Ixe-pie wanted to know more about Ilia did she? Liv would be happy to tell all she knew! Luckily she was only asked about the easier to answer questions. If it was about anything related to politics and nobleman things, she had absolutely no idea on what to say. Those silly rich people wasn't in her jurisdiction and she wasn't interested in old men talking to each other for hours on end. Now if it was the land, she knew the area she was raised in quite well.
"Yep, it's just like here, but not!" she stated, not quite making much sense by this point. She thought about what she said for a moment before finding the right words she wanted to explain with.
"Well, it's cold so you have to wear a lot of clothes just like I am sorta doing right now, but in the heat for some reason, plus it gets even colder than the nights here," she tried to explain, indicating her robes. The concept of keeping the water in her body was well beyond her level of comprehension, she only did it because her sister forced her in.
"They also got a lot of snow year round just like how there is sand here," she continued, picking up some sand and let it string out from between the cracks of her sand.
"At least with snow, you can roll it real easy into a ball and throw it at people, but you can sorta do it with sand if you add water, sis got mad at me for wasting water like that once, but I think it was worth it," she said, not bothering to take a breath.

Ixenmi shifted her entrancing gaze from the town ahead which lingered in the distance, amplified in the visually illusive pseudo mirage of heat haze. The Manakete felt it wash over her again. An urge to stretch her wings. Freedom ran through her veins akin to a fresh breath of air filling the lungs. It was hard to contain, or restrain the urges to simply express it. With a slight grin spreading she looked to the town as the small child tried to explain Ilia to Ixenmi. A single hand shifted to rest thin digits upon her own hip as she let the other one sway freely slightly while she walked. Small minuscule movements made the excess energy within her dampen, if only by a fraction of the smallest interval.
The moment the girl mentioned cold, Ixenmi began to imagine it. She knew already that it was a cold place, yet confessing her enjoyment of the cold dark times in Nabata's vast expanse she could only imagine a place that held such temperatures as a standard or norm. It sent a chill down her spine that was responded with the smallest of shivers in anticipation for visiting such a land. The hidden shiver ignored the oppressive heat that covered the land; seemingly ignoring it. The snow year round? A definite perk. She could already imagine the fun in visiting such a place.
The blue haired woman looked down at the young swiftly talking child. She spun once slightly, energy needing expended as she twirled with her feet lifting up for the slightest of seconds so she was only upon the pads of her toes; sliding in the sand before turning into a forwards walk once more while never losing stride or pace. "Young one. Liv. Would you say there is much Ice in Ilia?"
She spoke with a hint of curiosity, having never been to the land but slowly resolving that perhaps she should have visited much sooner. A second question came to mind which she voiced soon after. "Are there mountains, or spots where few people live?"

Liv's former teacher said she was the most oblivious of any magic inclined person he had ever met. Quite frankly he was telling the truth. By now anyone, but Liv would probably notice at the pretty woman was off. Perhaps she even noticed a sudden shift in the air about her, but any further inquiring was suplexed into submission at the back of her mind. Instead, she took notice of the woman's curiosity of Ilia. She had a much better awareness to the fact that she made someone smile over anything else.
"Yes, there is lots of ice, especially over the lakes. Sometimes the adults have to tell us to be careful since the ground under the snow might have frozen over," she answered, remembering the embarrassing amount of time that she slipped due to carelessness. Looking back on it, if people didn't keep an eye on her, she might have cracked her thick skull open a number of times. What the woman asked next though, made her think a bit.
"Yep, lots of ice up in the mountains, most people don't live near the mountain areas too. They say it's too dangerous and they'll freeze if they spend more than a few days up there, but I heard it was also very pretty," she answered, indicating with her fingers upwards to indicate the height of the mountain. She always wanted to travel to the top of one, but Levity refused to take her anywhere close. It was too dangerous for her sister's liking, even when she volunteered to light the fires.
"Maybe we can go up one together one day," Liv offered, giving a wide smile of her own.

The girl seemed to live in a land of oblivious joy. As if she was so far committed to the internal wonders of the mind subjected consistently to her own fleeting whims that the realities of the material world escaped her interest beyond small exceptions. That was good. The mind could create wonderful places for one to submerge within that would put the physical realm to shame entirely in the briefest of heartbeats. Ixenmi had spent many a day merely passing by in such stupors of relaxation while fabricating places to obtain her fancy. While the functioning world wouldn't allow anyone of an adult stature the time to indulge: it was pleasant to see children who found such places a comfort or way of life. It built up the uniqueness that humans were so regularly devoid of now-a-days.
Honestly. It seemed like each generation of humans had started to get more boring. Easier to manipulate, easier to take advantage of. It almost made her want to get more acquainted to local events, to see what would make them so malleable. However she had also decided some time ago she had to start seeing more actual places. First she would see the wonders that her people had once traveled regularly then she would go from there. As the girl spoke, Ixenmi imagined these lakes of ice. massive segments of frozen over water that one could walk upon. It simply seemed thrilling. Ixenmi gazed down at the excited child with a curious gaze. Reflecting this curiosity; she lifted one hand from her hip to her chin in mock thought as she gazed skywards briefly. She did not speak right away but continued to walk as she "thought". She did however, a moment later. "I am not sure that's a good idea Little one. What would your sister think of you traveling with someone you don't know? I'll say maybe for now. There is no telling what might happen within the future."

"Yeah, you're right, Big Sis will never let me go to the mountains until I'm older," she admitting, shaking her head in defeat. She'll just have to wait until she was bigger and stronger to fend for herself.
"But you gotta take me one day, I mean, it won't be any fun unless I share the sight with someone else wanting to go," she commented, her eyes practically pleading. She wasn't trying to be pushy, it was just her way of getting attached to someone. With all this talk about going to a dangerous peak in Ilia, her mind finally settled on something peculiar. This woman was traveling by herself from as far as she could tell. She never mentioned anything about being part of a group. She was quick to make a whole bunch of assumptions, some outrageous, others a great deal more reasonable. It was one of the more outrageous claim that she ended up blurting out.
"So Ixe-pie, are you like a famous warrior who goes powpow and smash peoples face in?" she asked, putting her fists up and showing some rather weak and lackluster punches in the air. She didn't really see any weapons on the woman, so she had to be a fist fighter. It was dangerous to travel alone in the world after all, that's why she had to stick somewhat close to Levity. There was the other part that she was a rather pretty woman. She must be some sort of famous adventurer since she could walk around with her skin exposed since she must be used to it.

Ixenmi looked down to the girl with a tilt of her head. The child certainly had seemed to set her goals on it. The memory of children was fleeting. They could hardly remember what happened days ago let alone months or years. Knowing this, and not realizing how horribly wrong she was in this case Ixenmi nodded to the girl as she mentioned being taken along too. Ixenmi smiled a bit, deceptively kind to the child while she spoke out quietly despite the motions in the desert causing the sinking sound of feet stepping upon and kicking aside sand. "Fair enough little one. I will take you one day when you are older." Ixenmi looked back to the town, initially planning to walk the rest of the way in silence before being called back to the conversation by the young pupil.
A brief chuckle left her lips; Ixenmi looking to the town as she spoke, a grace of movements guiding her down the rest of the sand dune. "I am not, as you say a famous warrior. I do not smash anyone let alone being in their faces. I am most curious, why do you ask Child? What is it that occupied your thoughts?"
Ixenmi to Ask her own Questions. Albeit genuine ones. She was remarkably curious what would bring the small oddball if not simply goofy child to ask questions such as that. As the manakete gazed down to the child she tilted her head before shiftign her gaze to the village once more. The girl was talkative, and great for casual conversation as the neared the town. Ixenmi could only imagine her actual response to the question. Save for imagining a sharp inhale and her talking till she was blue in the face.

The woman had made a major mistake in actually agreeing to take her to the top of a mountain. Liv had always been a peculiar child in her own way. Promises such as that was worth mountains of golds in her book. One knows how greedy an adult can be with gold. With that in mind, they had to seal the contract and she knew exactly how to do it. With one of her free pinky fingers, she went over and wrapped it around the woman’s counterpart.
“Okay, then by the power of pinky swearing, I’m gonna make you hold up on that,” she said, giving a sort of business like stare. With that done, the child contract had been sealed and even if it takes years, she will get Ixe-pie to take her on top of a large mountain. Before she knows what’s going on, Ixe-pie might have just found herself adopting a pet. For just a moment, she was a bit disappointed that the woman said she was not a great warrior. However her mind was also quick to make out a reason why, she was probably being modest.
“Well it’s okay Ixe-pie, I can keep a secret,” she winked and nodded on how smart she was being. A famous warrior would be crowded by fans and supporters if the people found out. So she wanted some peace, that’s understandable and Liv can get behind that ideal.
“It’s still pretty obvious that you have to be a powerful something. A pretty woman without other people around them have to super powerful because of all the mean people in the world,” she explained, making a rather cartoony version of what she thought an ugly bandit looks like. She was quick to release her funny face and message it afterwards.
“I should be careful or my face would get stuck like that,” she commented, rubbing into her robes some more.

Ixenmi had observed many human customs in her long lifetime. Most from a distance. This one however was new to her. Then again, when was the last time she had observed a human child's customs up close or in person? Naturally there was confusion in her expression as the young child approached. As she coiled her pinky around Ixenmi's the blue haired dancer gazed to her with slight confusion. She did not reject the motion though and as the girl uncoiled it Ixenmi tilted her head before speaking in the velvet tone with her eyes scanning the child to scry understanding. "What was the significance of that motion? I don't understand why you tugged my finger with yours. A Pinky swear you said? What does this..pinky swear entail?"
Humans had the strangest traditions. Customs too for that matter. However that didn't prevent the sapphire haired dragon in disguise from grinning a bit as the girl winked and attempted to plead knowledge to some secret of Ixenmi's. If only she knew the half of it. The ironic was beautifully sweet. Ixenmi lifted her hands and tucked them behind her back; lacing fingers as she spoke to the girl in an almost matter-of-fact tone. As if merely pointing out the truths. "You can be safe from almost anything little one, if you know what to do or how to act. Consider survival a...talent of mine. Yes? Quite great. Survival and dancing~"
As if to emphasize the woman once more stepped ahead of the child. This time however as she spun she did it in a manner that caused her icy blue hair to follow in a single circular fashion almost inform, creating a blue blur. She lifted her knee and tucked it gracefully before she dipped down and halted her spin suddenly to a bowing point towards the girl with her head inclined before lifting it and gazing with a grin, arms crossing under her chest. "Both, I have practiced for many years."
