"Truthfully, my journey hadn't been going on for a long time, so I haven't visited as many places as I would have liked. But so far, Sacae has been my favorite. I come from a part of Ilia where there is almost constant snow. It's nice to be in a warm place for once." She loved her home and she loved the snow. But it truly was nice to not have to wear several layers all the time. She was a fan of her warmer weather attire. It made simple movement so much easier.
It was around this time that Samantha was forced to stifle another yawn. She reached up and sleepily wiped her eyes. It was far passed her usual bedtime. "My pardons, Drei, but I fear it is time for me to get some sleep." Not wanting to be rude and assume that an offer of a seat at his fireside meant that she also had permission to stay the night at Drei's campsite, she rose to her feet. Reaching her arms above her head, she raised to her tiptoes and stretched her entire body. A number of cracks reminded her just how long she had been sitting. She turned her attention to the area around the hill they were currently on. It was difficult to see much of the surroundings at this time of night, so finding a suitable campsite wouldn't be as easy as she hoped. "Thank you for your kindness, Drei." She gave another bow. "I'll leave you to your campsite. Have a good night."

Drei's gaze lowered briefly. As the girl spoke of home or as she put it "Where she came from," ; he felt his cold blank gaze start to focus somewhat. Not on her however. The crackling twisting tongues of flame that lashed upwards with dancing orange tendrils which spewed faint light upon the campsite...that was his focus. Even though he heard her speak of how nice it was to be in a warmer place, he felt a slight pang. Home, huh? Wasn't that something he had to figure out still. What exactly..was home. When you spent your entire life wandering the world with a group of people, and they were all dead; home was dead with them wasn't it? He couldn't really tell. Perhaps that was what he needed to figure out. Gaze drifted from the fire back to her as she stiffed another yawn. She went to bed ad relatively early times, didn't she? Then again, for most it probably wasn't..early.
Drei was a poor example to judge by, whether he knew it or not. He had received little in the way of sleep. Every time he closed his eyes...it was as if he was reliving everything. The sound of people he'd known his entire life just..dying. It wasn't just shouts, or any form of sword play he heard. It was the sound of blades plunging into bodies. It was louder than he would have thought. A fleshy sound, which was an odd word to describe it with in earnest but it fit. The sight of bright orange light from fires spreading through the tent. His parents gaze to him before turning around and rushing back in. Then nothing.
A dull haze that fogged his mind and slowly eclipsed his memories of when he had ridden from Etruria to Lyica. Daunting. Unpleasant. Worst of all..quiet. When one grew up with a circus for a family, things were seldom quiet. Jovial, fun, sounds of diverse laughs constantly atleast faint and almost constant. That silence, was the worst sound of all. It was an unpleasant sensation that transpired every time he slept. As if mentally blocking it out, Drei had started to sleep less. Nights became more uncomfortable and his body seemed to stave off sleep until absolutely necessary; succumbing to a heavy state of rest for brief hours before he would inevitably awake with a start most times. However he shook this from his mind after a few moments as he himself rose up slowly. His horse now asleep noticed not, and the shamans figure was blocked partially as he lifted the small blanket he had been using to rest upon. It would also serve as his own covering.
"You are welcome to share this camp-site. If you'd prefer, given the pre-established fire. It'll matter little to me, as I will be confined. Regardless however; I wish you a plentiful slumber Samantha." After the words had left, he followed the overly formal parting phrase with a nod of his head while slowly turning around to enter his tent. After all, logically it did not make sense to deny someone enjoyment to the presence of a fire already functioning if he himself wasn't using it. It was their intended purpose after all. She was a nice person, for a mage; if not a bit weird. Then again, to Drei; most were weird. What could he do but just try to exist, eh?

Samantha smiled at Drei. "Thank you, it would be my pleasure to share your campsite." In truth, she was very relieved. It wasn't always easy work to set up a campsite by herself, and it would be made even harder due to her tired state. She laid her pack onto the ground and began to take out the parts of her tent. Moving slowly but deliberately, she began to build her tent. She had gotten very good at building it, having done it a number of times now. She was pleased; when she had left on her trip, she had never actually set one up before. The fact that her trip had already allowed her to gain more knowledge, even something as simple as that, made her happy.
Once she had set up the tent, she moved inside. Leaning her pack gently against the side of the tent, she began to set up a sleeping area. Undoing her rolled up mat from the top of her pack, she laid it down in the center of the tent before laying a blanket on top of it. She took her cloak, now that she didn't use it, and balled it up to use as a pillow. Sleep approaching fast now, she changed into more comfortable clothes to sleep in. Once she was ready, she slid underneath her blanket. Immediately, she could feel her eyes growing heavy. Normally, she'd think on what her plans for the following day would be. But she didn't stay awake long enough for that. Not long after her eyes closed, she drifted into sleep.

Though he had heard her as he moved into his tent he did not respond. Drei wasn't rude per say..but he simply found there no reason to actually reply to her. He shifted for a moment before settling into his place upon his "bed" of a few laid out blankets and pillow. His head rested to it lightly, but due to his perpetual lack of actual concurrent sleep he felt as if he had collapsed upon a pile of stones with the weight of even more stones. White strands of hair messily splayed as he shifted in place and sighed partially. Absently he began to move the books that were still chained to his belt. The twin tomes removed, he adjusted and stretched outwards. Stifling a yawn he instinctively curled up beneath the covers. It was difficult still; sleeping. He was so used to the ambiance and background noise of adults laughing and members of the circus practicing their acts still.
The memories were so vivid. When he closed his eyes..he saw them play out in his mind. Even if he didn't want them too...
Alas, such was the source of his pseudo insomnia. At times..he was too busy "watching" those moments. Seeing the dancing shadows on the backdrop of the large circus tent's canopy as he made his way to bed. Sometimes still hearing audiences cheering. Passing other members of the circus on the way back to his families tent. The occasional laughter echoing out and such...it made it far too hard. Other times he failed to sleep because he knew trying would force him to relive the memories. It was a..troublesome situation. Who knew though...perhaps the next morning would bring further answers. He couldn't rightly say...but he'd figure out soon enough he supposed. Easing his eyes shut, he tried to go to sleep; the haunting laughter of his lost family echoing in his mind.
