Aiden simply walked slowly behind them in a small bout of contemplation as they wandered about. The discovery of the inn was pleasing enough to conjure a small smile to his lips, an even broader one taking its place after the initial moment of shock that transpired when Ruh was struck by a thrown bottle. After a faint chuckle escaped him from the karmic balance being restored in such a manner, he followed his companions inside the establishment. "Serves him right..", The pupil mockingly said under his breath as he sat down before the bar.
When asked his name, he paused for a moment to actually register the question, seeing as there was no rude comment upon his smell. "Aiden, thank you. As for a drink, I'd prefer to have something -after- I have bathed. I can't stand myself any longer." He said with an exhaustive sigh, looking to the bartender for possible relief from his predicament.
"Gotta key for you to use the bath, right here." The surly owner spoke up, holding a simple brass key for the young man to see, almost a little too quickly for Aiden's liking. No matter, he grabbed it from the older man with some semblance of manners before motioning Bahadur to lead him there. "Oh yes. I'm sure if I was left like this any longer, I'd start attracting buzzards. Blasted things." The sardonic young pupil commented under his breath as he soon followed the Inn-keeper's lead to the bathing facilities, which freed everyone else from his odor.

"I will be having the same as him"The thief said to his old friend, after serving Donovan and Ruh,Bahadur with Aiden."...So,what brings you to a place like this?"He asked the mercenary,a sell sword like him was probably guarding a caravan or defending a important person in a travel, even if Nabata is at peace, the wasteland can be dangerous for people who can't defend themselves."Wonder why Aiden came to Nabata...No offense to him,but damn,he smells like a dead person."The thief took a quick sip from the whisky, how he missed the taste of it,or any alcoholic drink, two years just drinking water,it was better than nothing, but water is boring,it's tasteless, colorless and odorless,it just don't beat the feeling of drinking a cup of beer.
"...Where you are from?"The thief was trying his best to make small talk with the mercenary, they would just spend a few moments together, but he didn't wanted it to be boring,he didn't wanted to become friends with those guys either"I was born in Nabata, life here can be rough at times but you get used to it...eventually"The thief may be closed to other people, but telling people where he was born was too trivial to not share,it's just a place after all,a place he disliked and that he would be leaving soon, but the place where he was born"There is nothing much besides this city...and sand."

Thankfully, the smelly young shaman was going to get his much needed bath. Despite having offered Aiden a drink, Donovan was glad the little stinker was not going to be sharing a drink with the rest of them just yet. As Aiden walked off with the bartender, Donovan started to worry about the time. It had been a while since he first got involved with these two people and he was beginning to worry about losing track of time and being late for Grev’s arrival. As the mercenary was off in his own head, worrying about time and getting his pay docked, Ruh started to, somewhat awkward attempt at smalltalk.
“Aiden’s probably some sort of traveling wizard, looking for a teacher or a purpose. You know the type.” Donovan took another drink of water before looking back up at the thief. He didn’t think that he liked Ruh very much. He wasn’t sure what game the thief was playing, and that kind of person was a dangerous companion. And the white haired man was asking about his past. What had he told them earlier? Was he supposed to be the son of a knight or a lord. That’s right, it was a knight.
“Like I said, my father was a knight of Pharae, he had a small holdfast my family was gifted with. My brother was heir to the land and the wealth, so when the old man passed, I decided to go seek my own fame and fortune. Which brings me to this, hateful desert.”

The more he talked to the white haired thief and thought about who this Ruh character was, the more the young caravan guard realized that he could be getting caught up in a terrible situation right now. He had intervened earlier after seeing that the drunkards were attacking a young shaman who was barely an adult, with clear intent to kill. But it could have very well been Ruh who started the fight in the first place. And besides that, he knew nothing about this white haired thief.
It began to seem more and more likely that he was trying to con Donovan. After all, the mercenary wasn’t from this city, and Ruh had brought them to a bar that neither Aiden nor Donovan knew. The bartender was sketchy, as well. He’d hit Ruh over the head the moment that he came through the door.
No, this whole thing stank more than even Aiden did. He didn’t want to leave the young shaman stranded here with the bartender and the thief, but, he wasn’t even sure if Aiden was with them or not. For all he knew, the shaman could be playing him, too. Not wanting to draw any unnecessary attention to his leaving, the mercenary decided to play it off as casually as possible.
Donovan stretched like a cat. “Anyway, I’m sorry to cut our fun, little drink short, but a man’s gotta get to work if he’s ever gonna drink again! I’ll see you again someday, I’m sure, but until then…” Without another word, the mercenary was out the door and on his way.
