Yorick closed her eyes as the large Revenant began to writhe. She didn't want to see the ground coming if she was going to die. Perhaps it was cowardly, but... She wanted to have happy memories. Not the vision of the rocky earth rushing to meet her, faster, and faster, until...
She stopped.
Slowly opening her eyes, Yorick saw that she was suspended a few feet above the ground in the monster's grip, which had slackened slightly. A wide grin came over her face as she heard Xin's yell - "I got it!"
There was a brief moment in which the Halberdier smiled, thanked her lucky stars, and let her heartbeat slow down. Then she broke free, dropping to the ground, and then ran up towards the monster and jumped, jamming her iron lance forward into the fiend's gut.
The monster gave a terrifying howl as it teetered backwards, wobbling until it crashed backwards onto the ground, embedding the many weapons in its back even farther and causing it to spasm a few times before it finally lay still.
"Damn. That was one hell of a fight... Xin, mate, are you okay?"
Without further ado, Yorick ran to the corpse, collecting the best looking weapons to replace her lost ones - three javelins, a new iron lance, and some throwing knives - before stowing them and trying to remember what she had forgotten...
Fin!!!
Yorick sprinted over, taking out a vial from a pouch as she approached. This was precious solution - a medicinal elixir, designed to heal wounds and revitalize the dangerously injured. Fin was still breathing, and so Yorick uncorked the bottle and poured a generous dose into the girl's mouth, watching as she feebly swallowed.
Hopefully she would recover...
