The green haired sage marked down her comment her reasons. It seemed to indicate a purpose behind her journey, but she didn't elaborate on it yet. He wondered what it may be, but her next comments garnered even more attention. The statement about the wants of the convent vs its needs was more powerful than it at first appeared to be. She'd considered such things before, and speaking it aloud led to the belief that she was or had been a person of significance in this cabal of mages from the western wilds. Her offer to answer whatever he asked grabbed his attention even more so.
The green haired sage paused as he considered. What even was there to ask? Where did you begin with a people like this? History was an intriguing piece of study, but it was far from his forte. "Hah... I guess I'm not sure what to ask now that you've offered." Aaron grinned. "For, now that you've put such a test to me, I must beware, lest I bring destruction upon the world by bringing to light one of your people's deep and dark world-shattering secrets." He laughed, poking a little fun at the nature of how they'd stayed hidden.
He picked up a stick from a small pile of firewood nearby, and reached out to poke the small campfire and give it some room for air. "Shall we make a game of it then? For every question you answer me, I'll answer you one. And if one of us doesn't want to answer, the other can ask again until answered."
Aaron reached up and stroked his chin in thought. Might as well start at the beginning. "So, where did this convent originate?"
