Though his expression was clearly apologetic, because he still wasn't sure he was okay with himself for bleeding all over his best friend like he just had, the priest did quietly chuckle at her comment. Nayru had a remarkable knack for these pleasant jokes and retorts that just caught him off guard or really got him laughing. The priest smiled a bit wider, slowly starting to feel better about both himself and what had happened. His mind beginning to return with its usual upbeat buzz even as the pressures of fatigue slowly began to ebb away. Somewhat. Not entirely.
Remus shook his head to affirm that he had to decline the notion of an immediate "round two" as it were. He simply couldn't justify that. Not after what he'd just been through. The priest wove a hand to dismiss the idea further before speaking in a thoughtful expression, replaying the scenario in his mind. All the while, still very well aware of the pains that plagued his body universally. As if he'd nearly been crushed by the self-same dragon she mentioned.
"I think...it is a matter of over all force. For example. When you hit the barrier, the barrier itself did not shatter but my body felt as if it was being crushed. As if the sheer amount of energy it took to sustain it was so vast that I was going to be rendered a withered husk. Inert and devoid of essence. It took every ounce of focus I had to maintain the barrier through this. I...would imagine that as long as the body can provide, the magic maintains. So the magic is unfailing, as long as the body supplies. It also took perhaps more concentration than I've ever had to utilize in my life. As if I couldn't waver for a moment or I'd be cast aside like a scattered leaf within a great storm. It was a...humbling experience. Even when trying to heal multiple people at once, or calling upon the strongest of light magics available to me, never have I endured such a strain. This also tells me that I could likely enhance the barrier further if I had a higher magical stamina."
The priest tilted his head before gazing further to her. Fingers from his left hand clasping his chin softly while he thought aloud. A wry, faint grin on his expression.
"Let's er..hope that I don't have an encounter with foreblaze or a dragon opting to use me as a throw pillow any time soon yeah? Heh..."
Gods, either one would be a horrible experience.

Enhance it further, eh?
"So you think it'll stop anything, but only up to a personal limit..." Nayru trailed off, pondering that. She'd been joking about the arrow rain idea (mostly), but maybe it was actually practical if each individual arrow didn't hit that hard, at least so far as Remus's stamina held out. But that was the unknown, wasn't it? He spoke of limits, of improving his stamina, but without the knowledge of exactly what he could stop, it made it dangerous to rely on unless necessary. If he overestimated his abilities or underestimated an attack, the simple act of blocking it might be enough to kill him then and there... though to be fair, it wasn't like much hit as hard as she did. So maybe she was overthinking it somewhat. But it had been a concern worth bringing up.
As for 'encounters with Forblaze,' well, Nayru couldn't help but wince a little at his wording, ESPECIALLY in the wake of what she had suggested a few minutes ago. They were, after all, planning to go to literally the only place on Elibe where Forblaze and dragon throw pillows were actually an issue. There was ah, a certain level of irony in that in retrospect. Not that she was uh planning on picking any fights, just the timing was... anyways. Possessed by a certain degree of saltiness, Nayru's mouth moved before her mind did. "Well, I can think of one lamia who'd be happy to use you as a throw pillow."
...What? She wasn't wrong, dammit! Though while they were on that note, Nayru realized that Lafiel was actually still there. Irrelevant, asleep (possibly), and in the tent, but technically there, in much the same way that one's neighbors might still be there when banging loudly on the floor above you and keeping you awake at night. Not speaking from experience there or anything. "Wonder if she slept through all that ruckus."

A personal limit. That was en excellent way to phrase it! He knew he kept Nayru around for a reason! Well. Technically he was fairly sure she kept him around. As in, if she truly wanted him somewhere the chance of him actually being able to do anything other than going to that place was literally zero. Thoughtfully tapping his chin further, the priests hesitant tone implied that he was still formulating the thoughts. He paced lightly while speaking, every few steps turning on his heel to back-pedal.
"Well...how do we become faster readers? How do we build our physical prowess? We must train, no? I imagine a similar concept would apply here, given that the process of which I went about becoming more proficient in healing wounds was very similar. I suppose though, only time will tell eh? Heh."
Hmm. Now he had but to go about practicing in a way that didn't result in him getting put in near death states like this past one. Though he was sure to a degree this experience would prove useful. The priest abruptly tilted his head, turning to gaze at Nayru quizzically with a genuine look of curiosity when she mentioned Lafiel. He didn't quite understand what she was implying and found it a bit of a random remark, in earnest. Especially since they actually had pillows already.
"Wait. Why would Lafiel want to use me as a pillow? Don't we have pillows in the tent? Or did something happen to them?"
He then turned to gaze at Lafiel upon Nayru's observation. The periodic snort or snore was all he needed as confirmation personally, chuckling quietly as he chimed back in.
"It looks like she definitely slept through! I er..wish I could sleep that heavily. I...don't sleep nearly so well."

"...I'm not punching you on a daily basis, Remus," the dragon warned seriously just in case he was getting any highfalutin' ideas about trying to speed up that training. "But I will punch you right now if you suggest it, so don't." Ah yes, subtlety thy name is Nayru, and tact is thy weapon of choice. ...In another dimension, maybe. This Nayru had all the grace of a bull in a china shop that used only imported red jade from Timbuktu and was also painted red and all the employees happened to be fire dragons who really liked to dress in red as well.
Remus's confusion about what Lafiel would do with him elicited a blank stare from the tactless dragon as she tried to comprehend the comment before she realized that she was talking to the only person in Gaea's green earth who was actually worse at deception than her, and also that rather than being surprising this was 100% par for the course, and for a single tiny instant in time Nayru actually found herself rooting for Lafiel because even if she was a complete f**k**g idiot at least she meant well and would probably make Remus very happy. Very... very... VERY happy. OK then, time to toss that thought ou, maybe the brain alongside it, into a fire, then blow up the fire, douse it in acid, blow it up again, and then condemn all of Elibe to the pyre's flame just to make sure it never resurfaced again.
"...Maybe she's just trying to get comfortable" was what Nayru said instead of what she wanted to say, knowing VERY well that she was not the right person to introduce Remus to that... side of the world. Heh, 'very'. Wait no f**k dammit not again. "She does seem like a very, uh, heavy sleeper, so I'd be careful if I was you, don't wanna get made into a body pillow." NAILED IT. All jokes aside though, she still wasn't... entirely sure what to make of the silly snake, but Nayru was... less violently opposed to her conceptually than she had been earlier in the day. Being able to talk to Lafiel had just given her the sense of a legitimately well meaning teenage girl, in EVERY sense of the world - Nayru knew that she was just a teenager by dragon standards herself, but that was the difference - by dragon standards - her mind was only finishing maturing compared t her peers, but compared to the average human teenager she was well experienced in countless things, including many aspects of death and loss.
Lafiel... wasn't. She was, as far as she could tell, about the same age and mentality of a human teenager, just mixed with a surprising amount of raw intelligence and knowledge that awkwardly coexisted with her interest in boys, heroism, and swords. Not necessarily the most dependable person ever, not the sort of character she would be willing to leave Remus with as his sole guardian... but the sort of person who might someday grow into an actual woman.

Okay. He wasn't afraid that Nayru would kill him or seriously hurt him, but given his most recent experience with her punching there was a brief urge to flinch that he had to suppress at the mention of it. Nervously the priest chuckled before rubbing the back of his neck again. This time a bit more anxiously than anything, before he averted his attention towards the tent in quiet thought. The tail of the monstrosity within even while the thunderous rumbling snores of the behemoth who slumbered within shook the planets core and ravaged the tectonic plates.
"Don't worry, ahah...I know not to try that again any time soon!"
Finger tapping to his chin after a few passing moments, he briefly averted his gaze to Nayru before re-directing it back to the tent. Most assuredly, comfort was important. Remus still found himself confused as he voiced this aloud while slipping his hand from his neck back down to his side quietly. His tone perfectly voicing his perplexity towards the notion and situation at all. Since he was clearly missing something from this equation.
"I um..well I guess so. I don't know how utilizing me would assist in that as opposed to a normal pillow however. Is it because I wear really heavy baggy robes?"
The effort to understand her point was definitely being made. However the priest simply felt like he was missing something. Connecting the dots didn't work if he was missing half the dots! His mind drifted away from it however as he pondered further. Speaking his thoughts aloud curiously.
"Well..perhaps the town back at shore has a large pillow? If not I'm sure they could be made on Elibe, if you think that would help her?"

Ahhhhh it was so cute! Nayru struggled to not let out a very uncharacteristic giggle of girlish glee, but the ghoulish grin of giddiness crept to her lips nonetheless at Remus's antics. He was so INNOCENT like a baby bird it just made her want to explain everything in extreme detail just to see his reaction. Was it blasphemy to corrupt a priest? Eh... Lafiel would do it eventually anyways. And for the time being, even if it was sometimes a little stressful, Nayru truly did enjoy being around Remus. Yes, he was in some ways naive, but at the same time his boundless optimism was refreshing, perhaps as far as truly inspiring. It wasn't something she was capable of, not anymore, but she still wanted to protect it as best she could. The world might change Remus in some ways, but as long as he managed to keep the core of what made him... him, he could still rise above the darkness in Etruria, make something more of himself and potentially inspire countless others to follow his example.
...She didn't really see herself ever converting to Eliminism, but if he could actually reform the religion to something more like what it was supposed to be, she might not hate it as much either.
"Yeah, it's probably that," Nayru eventually managed neutrally with only one or two snorting coughs that sounded suspiciously like giggles for some reason, her poker face in need of some work. "Lafiel is just very active in bed I'd think." Ah man, that was a good one, she'd have to remember that so when Remus actually understood it she could repeat it and watch his reaction then. Though all euphemisms aside, Remus's comment did remind her that they DID have a pet snake to take care of... and by they, she actually meant literally anyone who was not her. "Take her wherever you two want to go, Remus, but I should head out in the early morning to get back to Elibe as soon as possible. There are some things that I need to take care of, and I have to start making preparations for our little adventure as well, unless you changed your mind in the last ten minutes. Besides, Lafiel likes you, and if she's serious about this... 'Elibe' thing, she'll need someone who can protect her better than just punching. Elibe isn't necessarily friendly to demihumans, if you'll recall."

Though confused at the noise Nayru released, enough so that it prompted Remus to tilt his head in definitive confusion he couldn't help but ponder what exactly she meant. Did Lafiel have some condition he knew not of? Perhaps she'd need tending to? The priest looked back once more to the slumbering lamia and examined her from what he could see. She didn't....seem too active? So what could Nayru have meant? Maybe she meant it as in Lafiel had a hard time actually falling asleep? The priest shifted his gaze again back to Nayru before trying to brighten his outlook. If Lafiel had a problem with sleep, he would do his best to assist her! Maybe that was why she was sleeping so heavily! She likely had problems actually falling asleep. His gaze returning to Nayru, he tried to let his optimism show if only to emphasize his determination to help.
"Well do you think that's why she sleeps so heavily? Because she's active while in bed? Maybe she just has a hard time sitting still! If it's something I can cure, I'll do my best though. Helping her is the least I can do given all she's been through. Though er..I don't know if magic can cure difficulty falling asleep."
He felt a more serious tone shift as Nayru started to speak of Lafiel coming with him. Before however he could protest Lafiel's safety around himself, she began to make a valid point. Lafiel had said she would've liked to travel Elibe. Remus, being a main of the faith, was less likely to be questioned. Not to mention, the navigational factor. Then there was his home. His parents home was large enough that it could definitively serve as a shelter for Lafiel if things went south.
Maybe he could get her to his home for a temporary place to stay. His parents would keep the secret. He trusted them. Not to mention if he kept her safe there he could meet up with Nayru for this dragon city trip.
"I think your right. I can at-least offer her shelter with my families home and then use that as a starting point. I um..think we'll leave shortly after you do. Perhaps try to take a ship the same day we get back to town if possible. The sooner we can get her away from the average Elibian on this island and back to Elibe the safer I think, because we can offer an isolated safe place for her."

Just don't say anything. Nayru repeated the words to herself like a mantra, a Eliminist monk reciting the holy words of the virgin goddess hersel-was Elimine a virgin? The teachings were kinda vague about that. If what she'd heard was right though, miss blonde booty beauty had been a sight for sore eyesANYWAY dammit she was in no position to be explaining the birds and the bees to Remus, and a bit distracted on top of that.
Unfortunately his next set of ideas wasn't necessarily a great deal more grounded; while Nayru was by no means an expert on the subject of self-absorbed idiot snakes, she KNEW that Lafiel would deal with the idea of being 'imprisoned,' even for her own good, about as well as cats liked baths. For whatever reason, the lamia just wanted to be free as a bird, so the minute Remus turned his back the daft snek would be halfway to the horizon with her head held high and her brain left in a ditch a mile back. As all should be.
"...Look, Remus, word of advice? I get the feeling she wants an adventure, not a new prison. No one'd blame you for leaving her to her own devices, it's what I recommend, but-" she leaned back on her heels, half smiling wryly, "I know you won't actually take that advice, so just think real carefully about what you want to do with her. I doubt Etruria's gonna take real well to someone whose bottom half looks vaguely dragon-ey and doesn't have the sense to keep her mouth shut when she needs to. You attach yourself at the hip? She WILL drag you into trouble, one way or another."

Nayru raised a thought evoking point. If he left Lafiel there, and she did leave..there was no telling what trail of disasters might try to follow her. Especially since, as Nayru had astutely pointed out, she did resemble a being similar to a dragon in the aspect of scales and a tail. The priest lifted a hand to stroke at his chin thoughtfully. It was right about now that he wished he had a beard, or at-least a goatee so he could have something of texture or substance to distract him. It was odd, that that gesture with facial hair seemed so healthy for developing cognitive thoughts. The priest averted his gaze from the tent back to Nayru. He gazed at her with curiosity while he tried to adequately figure out just what he could do. Maybe she'd have some ideas?
"So if you think that's a bad idea...which is a fair point...what should I do? I doubt I can bring her with us...but I don't know of a safe place she could go on Elibe. Especially with monsters surfacing up all over the place, even in other countries beyond Lycia, how do we keep her from well...getting attacked?"
The idea of leaving someone to well..die..didn't sit well with him. The priest was visibly disturbed by this gesture and couldn't quite figure it out. As if he had been presented with a trouble never known to him. It was like having to leave Amelia behind if she was older, more rambunctious, and could fight with swords. The day that came he would probably instantly suffer all his hair turning stark white or grey and be struck down with purest worry.
Tilting his head, Remus huffed quietly. He seldom found a dilemma which he couldn't think out of. Not that he was a world class intellect, but he'd not run into many dilemmas in earnest.

"If I had an answer for that, dragons wouldn't have to live in hiding." Nayru didn't say it with any malice or bitterness per se but it was a bit harsh nonetheless simply by dint of what the concept embodied. Elibe was... not kind to those it deemed less than human. There WAS no simple, casual answer that allowed her to tell Remus what to do. How to do it. And above all, it wasn't solely his task to accomplish. If Lafiel wanted to play with the perceptions of an entire race, she was going to have to mature and become something a little more... polished than what she was now. Because in the end, it was similar to what Nayru was trying to do for Remus. She could protect him from a couple angry guys, but changing the world... changing the perceptions and beliefs of an entire country or race... that was something she couldn't do for him. It was why she thought so highly of his more questionable traits as well, the trust and optimism that defined him. Nayru knew she was a broken woman in some regards, not exactly suited to be anyone's hero.
She didn't envy Lafiel in the least though, in being forced to follow Remus's footsteps if she had ANY intention whatsoever of realizing her own goals, which did much to curb Nayru's general dislike of the sassy snake. The lamia was annoying sure, but it was hard to hate someone who was about to embark on a journey far greater than anything she'd ever done. Only time, and Lafiel's own actions, would decide how that all turned out. "You can't stop her from getting attacked, though. Some things... she'll have to learn for herself. Much like I can't fix Etruria for you, you can't fix Elibe for her. Remus, I won't stop you from trying to support her, but it's like a parent letting their child out in to the world - you have to find a balance between helping them and letting them fly on their own, otherwise they'll never truly be independent."
Of course Remus could help Lafiel in her adventures immensely. Nayru had already been helped, even saved, by Remus multiple times, in more ways than one - and she was far more self sufficient than the soft and squishy fair skin of the daft snake. Stronger and wiser and older. But the more he did for her, the less Lafiel would be living her own adventure, and the more she would just be a side character in Remus's. It would be up to the two of them to decide what kind of story they wanted to tell together.

Shockingly, as usual, Nayru was right. Perhaps in more ways than one. Though the brusque nature of her tone was a bit of a shock, he could understand it given the point she was articulating. The priest mulled it over, quietly running his free hand through lapis shaded messy hair. The sensation of fingers combing through his hair helped him adequately ponder what exactly would be needed. It was simply really, even if he was loath to admit it. He'd have to feel out the situation. He couldn't exactly dictate what she did or didn't do on Elibe either. He wasn't her parent. He could only suggest things and try to help her if she needed it. Obviously she'd deal with adversity given the human races perspective towards monsters. The priests gaze drifting to the ground while affirming to himself mentally, that he'd have to just...be as hands off as possible. Perhaps he'd spent too much time raising orphans? He was used to fussing over and tending people like a mother hen clucking over ruffled feathers.
After all, for all he knew Lafiel could handle danger better than him. She was a snake-human hybrid with access to knowledge no one on Elibe had. So maybe he was just needlessly worrying. Speaking hesitantly, the priest cast his gaze towards the slumbering Lamia within their tent. His hands both moving to his staff and him resting his weight upon it while leaning forwards.
"Well, again your definitely right. The best I can do is just..offer any advice if asked and help. It's not like I'm a parent for her. She's er...a sentient snake-woman that's probably been alive longer than I have. I think the um..well the situation itself made me a bit overly concerned. I mean..she has swords and seems to know how to use them. That's something I sure can't do, ahah~ So yes. I'll just offer help if it's needed and definitely leave her to her own devices so to speak."

"Of course I'm right, I mean, I'm me." Nayru chuckled, though she frowned for a moment in the aftermath as she felt a twinge in her shoulder. The downside of halfshifting that far of course. The human body wasn't meant to take that kind of abuse. It wasn't anywhere near an injury nor was she sure it was something that could even be healed, but the unfortunate fact was that no matter how much care and effort she put into regulating the flow of power when shifting, there would always be pools, snags, mistakes, burns left in the aftermath. A little bit too much left behind here. Magic circuits a bit overworked there. A partial snag in one of the minor channels. Nothing world endingly serious, but it was slightly ironically the oldest to being an old lady she was likely to experience for a long time.
Rotating her shoulder within its cuffs, the dragon continued nonetheless, her tone more serious than the silly jest of a moment before. "You might be surprised. From what she said, it sounds like you and Lafiel are pretty close to the same age, she mentioned that Lamias live longer than other Taguel, but supposedly they also mature more slowly. She didn't give enough details to where I could say for sure, but she might actually be on the cusp of adulthood. And lord knows she could probably use some of your wisdom, I don't have the patience to ram her head into the wall of wisdom until she stops being an idjit." Nayru sighed. She wasn't entirely sure what it was about Lafiel that set her off so easily. Maybe it was some innate reaction to coming face to face with someone who was vaguely like her younger self, or maybe it was just that she could see Lafiel making some of the same mistakes she had.
Or maybe Lafiel actually just just an intolerable dumbass teenager.
...She hadn't been THAT bad as a kid, had she?
Trying not to think too hard about the answer to that question, Nayru coughed and returned to the business at hand. "Sky but I feel like a mom giving her kid a damn pet and lecturing him about responsibility. Look, it's just something you two are gonna have to work out, I can ramble 'til I'm blue in the face but life has a way of asking you questions that you don't know the answer to, no matter how much you think you know. Just think about the effects of your actions and it'll probably work out."

Remus laughed at Nayur's joke, chuckling in the aftermath while smiling with an expression full of mirth. Something Nayru was good at inspiring with him. That jovial enjoyment that truly gave him a sense of contentment. Remus leaned more upon his staff briefly before he noticed Nayru frowning. He himself frowned when she started rotating her shoulder. It didn't take a genius to realize it was the same arm she had punched with. The priest extended his hand, reflexively lifting his staff. The faintest of magical conduit's opening within his body as he channeled his healing magics through and into the staff. The familiar blue warmth expanding outwards while a small sphere of faintly glowing light surged like a beacon outwards. Like a heartbeat becoming visible it briefly lit up with a pulse before the energy spiraled and infused into Nayru's shoulder with a blossoming series of radiating lights.
As prior, he couldn't heal damage to her magical self. He couldn't make her less tired or magically drained. However he could alleviate physical wounds. So the soreness and pains within the joints or any damage done to muscle he could tend. The etrurian priest doing just this while letting his hand lower and his staff press against the ground. Smiling a bit before nodding towards her shoulder as if affirming his magic's attempt. The priest speaking up quietly.
"I may not know how a dragon's body works..er..even when it looks like a humans, but I can promise you that if it can be healed I shall do my best. Even if you don't ask~"
The final sentence nearly emphasized in as much of a "Remus" way as possible. Healing people in general was an instinctive desire, so when it was a friend? He barely noticed that he'd actually healed her had he not been thinking of it the moment he'd done it. Not to mention, he was a bit to blame for it. He'd asked her to punch his barrier. So any strain from the power to fuel her might or the impact of the punch was one hundred percent on him. The priest turned his bright gaze back to Nayru, nodding up at her while returning to leaning his weight on his staff.
"Ahah...I know that feeling actually heh. Try not to worry though Nayru. I'm sure I'll figure something out! Either way though, I do appreciate you trying to look out for both me and her in this concern. If anything happened to her on Elibe because I was trying to overly direct her I WOULD feel horrible. Though hmm..it is interesting, the prospect that she may be older but not actually at the respective state in maturity her age would prompt from a human standpoint. Then again I er, imagine that's similar to dragons? I don't um..exactly know how aging works for them. Does that shift your perception of time? Um..then again I guess you wouldn't really notice would you, since that'd purely be your normal perception of time. Ahh..so many questions even without trying!"

It reminded her of the deal with her throat after the gargoyle fight in Bern. Remus's proactive healing DID help, she could feel the physical stress evaporating for the most part, but again the damage was as much magical as physical so it was far from a panacea - a cure for all that ailed her. Regardless, Nayru smiled at him in response, still uncomfortable with the idea of actually having to rely on others after centuries spent alone, but liking the feeling nonetheless even if it was alien to her. The idea that she didn't have to bargain or barter for help. That Remus might just WANT to help.
Remus's last set of comments was interesting, a multi-part conversation in its own. So as usual she just broke it down into its component parts, responding as she got to them. "Well, she may be an idiot, but I don't want to see her get hurt." The dragon shrugged, honest and forthright in her statement but not especially emotionally invested in it. It was the difference between truly caring about Lafiel and just not wishing her harm, honestly. Nayru wasn't quite as open hearted as Remus was... it was something she could watch from afar but not quite emulate so to speak.
As far dragon maturity, well, THAT was a different subject entirely, and par for the course, not necessarily her specialty. Nayru speaking about dragon maturity was like Amelia lecturing Remus about responsibility - the irony was so thick you could cut it with a spoon. "Well, being raised alongside humans AND dragons does give ya some perspective, ha ha. Dragons mature much more slowly than humans, both mentally and physically... 'childhood' can last a good century, and another few decades for good measure, with the brain continuing to develop during that time. Of course, they deal with events much as humans do, so by a human standpoint it's a strange combination of maturity and naivete. Like if Amelia suddenly started lecturing you about the Motonic theory of magic shortly after pushing Owain facefirst into a puddle."
"I'm a bit past five hundred," she... didn't lie, but no lady gave an exact age, of course. Remus didn't need to know that it was 550s or anything. "-But still... well, dragons age more than humans, but generally speaking you don't really hit the equivalent of human adulthood until somewhere in the four-to-six hundred range. There are definitely parallels, but around that point is when the brain generally stops changing, and the average dragon turns into a fun-hating stick in the mud who only wants to talk about the old days and how easy the youngins these days have it." Nayru's voice had started off perfectly factual, but as was her wont it had transformed into something a bit sillier as she went, beginning to mimic an elderly voice as she went on the tangent. The irony that she WAS essentially a super-grandma was, unfortunately, lost on her as she mocked her own elders.

Once again Remus found himself chuckling. Laughing idly because of how Nayru delivered the comment as much as what she said. Though he tilted his head once more to look past Nayru towards Lafiel who still seemed content to saw entire forests as it were with her snoring, he pondered just where she was at intellectually. He didn't imagine she was an idiot by his standards, but then again an "idiot" to Nayru was probably vastly different. Again, she had life times over him. The priest smiled lightly while wrapping his staff to the ground before he perked up and began to listen to Nayru while she spoke of dragon's aging processes and how they were different. Once more taking a tone that their conversations often did when they were speaking of more educational topics. Though he was curious. What would it have been like? The priest commented quietly, lips still in the "default" smile he had even though he touched upon topics that likely evoked emotions other than ones one would smile while feeling.
"Was it strange, growing up with dragons and humans as friends, and then coming out into Elibe where er..that's not the case? I um..if I can ask how do you adjust to that? To know life as normal but then when you leave home you learn that everyone believes your kind is extinct? I um..hope that isn't too personal a question to ask."
Way to be sensitive Remus. Not like were bringing up the genocide of her kind or anything here. His curiosity pushed him forwards however against his better judgment.
"I um..I'm glad we met when you were as you were now as opposed to if you were a child still. I feel like you'd still be a child before I died of old age, haha~"
Never before had he laughed at the idea of his death. The darker themes didn't quite reach the upbeat priest but the over all notion wasn't lost upon him either. He couldn't even begin to imagine what his perception of time would be like. How the passage of it would be if he had such a longer lifespan. Though he laughed a bit louder of Amelia lecturing him before closing one eye and smiling brightly at Nayru.
"Ahah, I have a feeling that even if Amelia didn't know much about any topic, it wouldn't impede her from giving anyone an ear full! She's ah...strong willed, as you've seen. Heh, goodness though. Imagining if she was right is scary! She'd never stop!"
Quietly soaking in the rest of what she said, the priest leaned on his staff before speculating further. Now his curiosity taking full reigns of both his brain and the conversation in which he contributed to.
"SO er..I imagine that some dragons are quite old? Do...dragons die of old age? Do they er...have a dragon growth spurt as it were, like what humans do? I guess I'm trying to imagine this and really comprehend it all haha!"
