-Magic Weapon:
Name: Venisanctus
Magic: Anima (Ice/Water)
Tome: Fimbulvetr
Physical Description: Venisanctus is a longsword about a 125 cm long. The blade has a sheen like polished crystal, and seems to emit a cold light when used. The sword itself is silver for the blade and blue for the hilt in color, and traces of sapphire can be seen in the hilt as well. There are runes also inscribed into the blade as well, presumably meant to keep the spirit sealed within. The sword also has a special sheath that has an ornate engraving of runes and holy symbols, with small text reading the sword's name below.
When Victor uses it's power, the runes on the sword light up a bright blue.
Personality: Even by magic weapon standards, Venisanctus is quite random when it comes to choosing it's wielders. Throughout the blade's long history, it has been used by the good, the bad, and those who simply are in it for the money, and very little commonalities can be found between wielders as well. The blade is also noted for being extremely dedicated and loyal to the user, fully giving the user command of whatever power the blade has at will. However, it is also incredibly disloyal to anyone else who even tries to use it outside the sheath, refusing to give them even a single snowflake of power when they try to use it.
Origin: Venisanctus's origin dates back to about five centuries ago, where the spirit who now dwells within it was found in Illia, causing one of the worst snowstorms that land has ever seen. As the spirit was known to brutally freeze to death anyone who stood in its path, the people of Illia grew desperate for someone to stop it.
That someone was a powerful sage, and his old friend and apprentice, a dedicated Bishop to the gods.
Though their exact identities remain unknown, what is known is that the two pooled together all their knowledge to create a vessel to seal the spirit away in. However, sealing the spirit ended up costing the Bishop his life to ensure that the spirit would be bound to it for all time.
But Illia was saved.
In honor of his fallen friend, the sage decided to make the sword capable of also slaying monsters, engraving the sheath with some holy symbols, and such, hoping that the weapon would be used for good.
Of course, of the course of 500 years, this has not always been the case.
The sword itself seems to decide who is worthy, and so the blade has gained some infamy for its use in evil deeds.
The last wielder of it was a Hero who perished during the Bandit War.
More recently, Victor came across it one day simply by chance while stopping at a antique shop one day to pick up some rare books on swordsmanship. It was then that the weapon selected him, and the shopkeeper sold it to him for a mere 2000 gold, neither knowing the blade's mystical properties until Victor tried using it when he got home that day.
