Life in the Isles was as smooth as it could be, even with the pirates and characters that show up around here. It was a relatively large area, enough to blend into the crowds and not worry about being noticed. Here, you could be as normal a human as you could be. For many, they take this for granted, going about their lives without a care in the world. For someone like Keoni, however, it was a way of life that he depended on.
Keoni wasn't like most people, as much as it pains him to admit this at times. Deep down, the poor man wasn't much of a human at all. Still, he'd be damned if he wasn't determined to live as one. Keoni had spent all his life so far in the Isles, doing everything he could to prepare himself for the journey ahead. It was a personal one, a task that would almost certainly mean getting his hands dirty, but he needed closure. The wanderer had been taking his time helping out others less fortunate than him, getting the occasional bit of gold here and there.
Keoni was just carrying a sack of supplies along the port of Jutes to an elderly woman and her young grandson, an easy enough task to handle. They seemed to appreciate the gesture, thanking him with warm smiles. It was nice to offer a hand when he could, though he could use a spot of excitement now and again. He had considered helping out with the pirate problem, but he was more worried of being seen in his monstrous form. Even with all his training, he had little idea of how to use his powers more discreetly.
The man continued on, his walking stick pressing onto the floorboards with each accompanying step. A smile slid across him as he waved the lady and her grandson goodbye, a good deed well done. "Heh. Such nice people," Keoni said to himself as he continued wandering around the port. It didn't take long before Keoni found himself venturing further into the city. He wondered if he might find something interesting today to ease his wanting mind.
