Probably the best SRPG for the GBA. By FAR. - 10 playable characters(actually 11, but at one point you have to choose between one of the other. Kind of like Karel and...who was it?).
- Card-based movement and battle system(don't be fooled, it's actually AWESOMELY done). There is a total of 30 cards, all with different effects.
- Graphics that put Fire Emblem and Tactics Ogre to shame.
- You actually get to like the characters in this game, unlike most other SRPGS where you have to pick between 50 or 60 for battle.
- Union battles(2 against 2, 4 against 1, etc)
- Probably the best music a GBA game has to offer(and the soundtrack Sting released a bit later is even MORE amazing)
- 48 Battlefields, not counting the "Gaiden" or secret ones.
- 256 items to collect, which upgrade character stats, give you stat boosts for a couple of battlefields, or may even unlock things in the Extra Contents section after the game.
- You actually can act in the battles to get yourself a win, unlike most SRPGs, where the most you can do is use the weapon triangle or magic triangle to your advantage, or at most, make use of side and back attacks to get damage boosts.
- Three different endings, the best taking the least effort of them all, and the second best being downright hard to the limit.
- Instead of having HP, characters have morale, which decreases when the enemy wins the battle, and only does so depending on things like terrain, critical or no critical hit, status effects, special card skills, items, and, more importantly, the power of the card used.
If you like SRPGs, try it. I beg you.

It is amazing, and the second ending**SPOILERS!*, "The Advent of Ragnarok" is by far my favorite ending in the game. Just because it is so epic. Man that last boss was a *****!

Hell yes. Level 75 for God's sake...I wouldn't have known how to kill her if I hadn't tried long enough for her morale to go down on it's own. I just felt that I had to go on trying, even if I was losing every single fight. Then, her morale went under ten thousands, and I knew that I could kill her. I had, somehow, saved Crusade for the end. Don't ask. >_< Hey Lumino, have you listened to the soundtrack? If not, check these samples: www.sting.co.jp/yggdra/special/soundtrack/index.htmWait for the page to load, and click the black buttons below the list of what each CD has. Notice how some say "Original", some say "Image", and the one with Yggdra says "Arrange". Just check them out. The soundtrack is made of two CDs. The first has all the GBA songs, plus a Battle Medley made of "Image" songs(MP3 quality remade songs), while the second CD has all the songs, remixed, plus 5 extra "Arranged" songs. This last CD is just like the "Riviera - The Promised Land" soundtrack Sting had released earlier for that very game. Simply AMAZING.

gah, I've heard of this game, but haven't gotten a copy. It looked really good though, and you make it sound more tempting...
another thing to put on the "wait until I get actual money" list...

Right about what? Of course I am! The game is downright amazing. The map on it's own looks like the ones on the FE games, but the battles really put FE to shame. And any other SRPG for the GBA too. Plus, the fact that there are 256 items to collect, 200 of which are hidden all through the game, gives it an even higher replay value. In fact, I am missing one of the items which unlocks something at the extra contents. My bet lies that it unlocks character profiles or something of the like. And I am NOT going to look into a FAQ or guide.

Yeah but, I felt characters were too unbalanced. I mean, by end game, Millanor could kill EVERYTHING, no problem. SPOILERS!!!!
The last two times you fight Gulcasa, once when you kill the last Valkyrie, and the next time at the volcano, Millanor one shotted him both times. And in case he couldn't do it, I always had crusade.

That's only because YOU let him get all the MVPs at the end of the battlefields. The MVP is a bonus given, either a +1 or +2(depending on how long it took you to finish the battlefield) to one stat. The character that dealt the most damage is the one that gets the MVP. So, if you just used Milanor, or used him most due to him being able to steal, it's because of you that Milanor got that strong.
The same happened to me, and he maxed out before everyone else. HOWEVER, Yggdra was not far behind, and was able to get maxed only one or two levels after that.
SPOILERS!!
It took me only one turn too to defeat Gulcasa. Once with Yggdra, and once with Milanor. And mind you, I didn't even have to use Crusade(I mean, the skill, not the card. I DID use Crusade as a card to kill him).
END OF SPOILERS!!

The only reason you didn't use Crusade is because you never got down to just Ygdra alone. <_<

Well, yes. That is right. >_> Which shows that the game is not simply "broken", nor is the character system. I'm sure that if you carefully plan things out, you can get to max all characters out by battlefield 45-46.

I liek dem bath scene
One of the major reasons why I LOVE Atlus.
There's like... A bath scene in every game.
^////////^
>__>
<__<
ITS NOT LIKE A PLAYED THE GAME SOLEY FOR IT...
It's just how it started...
But anyways: For a year old game, it's still fun to pick up and play once in a while.

Actually, it's STING's game which happen to all(or most of them, anyway) have a bathing scene. Atlus is simply the distributer, not the developer.
