you were 'him'
The only problem I have with some of your portrait sprites is that their necks don't transition right... Well it just looks odd to me x:

Jya: What? And: The only one I can see with that problem is my beta Richter sprite. Dirk Karavalenge: The eyes aren't displaying correctly, but thanks

Only see it in 2, and perhaps 9.
4 is just you since the head and the neck come from the same sprite, and 5 is fine because I say it is. >.>

Insert: Well I'm to lazy to comment on anymore and I think I've already written a large enough text wall, so I'm gonna stop now.
Gah...you make me look like a noob now. Not much of mine is full custom, and I can't animate worth crud. Ah well.
(BTW, just call me Mautty)
Very nice sprites though...and I laughed at the wyvern in general armor.
Lets see...criticism...let me go through em and see what I can give.
Okay first sprite: The forehead at the center top where the hair meats it is to light. Transition between the two is interrupted by it and causes it to not blend.
Second sprite: Range of the hair colors is to large. Lighten up the mid pink so that it is between the contrast of your lightest and darkest. Or, darken the lightest one in there (which seems to make up a good portion of the hair) so that its brightness doesn't stick out as much.
Third Sprite: Just plain awesome, good custom work. Only thing bugging me is the shirt/armor is a bit to bi-tone. Try adding in a third color, especially on the left arm, it look sort of flat on the close (dark) piece.
Fourth Sprite: On the right side of his neck (our right), between his chin and collar there seems to be an odd grey spot there. I'm not sure what it is (didn't open it in paint), but it just looks out of place so I pointed it out.
Fifth Sprite: Looks good to me. Only personal qualm is that the dark purple hair blends in a bit to much for my taste when it hangs over the black shirt.
Sixth Sprite: The center of the hood seems to be just to the left of the center of his shirt. Seems almost as if the traveling cloak is twisted on him a bit. I don't know if that's a meant effect or not.
Seventh Sprite: Outline between his face and hair on our left is a different color than the rest of the outline, same for the piece of decoration on the armor, left side of the chest.
Eighth Sprite: A 1-2 pixel of a shade darker on the neck right underneath the chin would help the head blend to the neck better. On our right, I would make some kind of small loop for the lower strap as you did for the higher strap. It looks like the lower one would just slide and hang off to his left.
Ninth Sprite: Neck looks like it's black, past where the neck armor stops, towards the ear and such...yea that's all.
Tenth Sprite: Cool feathers. A color one shade darker on the top of the head would give a feeling of the cloak actually being worn over his head and creating a shadow.
Eleventh Sprite: Sword looks a bit bright to me, but it's a white background so I don't know.
Twelfth Sprite: ...is his crotch on fire? O.o
Thirteenth Sprite: A slightly darker yellow may look better on the sprite.
Fourteenth Sprite: Upper body seems to far over, try moving it a couple pixels to the left.
Fifteenth Sprite: Ashnard's arm looks like it's coming out of his chest on the last version of him. Ike's and the Black Knight's swords were not of the same design...but I'm not good at weapons so don't ask me. Make the pixel at the top of the Black Knight's head a shade of grey you already have on there instead of white to give a boundary between the trim and background. (I see further down a bit you made another Ike and Ashnard, I like those better. Plus yay! Ike's sword! =D)

Hey, don't get down on yourself. I like your sprites.
Thanks for the criticism. I'll make a note of it in the future. Here are my responses/explanations: 1. Yup. First mug I ever made, so... 2. Yeah, same excuse for the first...guilty as charged 3. I tried adding more color to his right arm, but it always looked weird 4. No idea what that is... 5. I just used the colors from the character. Google Yuri Lowell 6. Yeah, that's the effect I was going for 7. Recolor error 8. I agree; I just ripped Lloyd's body, so any loops that are there now were there then 9. Woops 10. It probably would 11. Lol it's crap 12. Naw, it's just Kefka's red pants 13. Agreed 14. Noted 15. That Ashnard is both a great point and a black spot in my spriting history. He's my first full custom, but he looks weird. Ike's sword just happens to be a bit different than the Burger King's since I did them at different times. I remade Ike and Ashnard because I wasn't content with the first two. I personally think my Ashnard remake is one of my greatest sprites.
Wait, did you laugh at the Wyvern in General armor, or the General with the Manakete's head?

Out of all the sprites, you noticed the smallest one that blends the most into the background. How does that work?

I don't know. Just don't ask me, and you won't have the nightmares, the ghosts, and the llamas. OH THE LLAMAS! HELP ME!
Typical bored action on a board, sorry.
But, honestly, I don't know. I can't say a thing about the others, could hardly tell you what they look like, yet I can easily notice Sol. Maybe cause I use him on the GBA version (forgot the name XP) The GBA one is way too easy, though. Well, maybe that's why I noticed it. I play the GBA version, after all XD
