"Sure let's go." The two got Ryan and left the ship. Kenshin walked a little bit behind Ryan along with Katara so they could keep talking "It wasn't to fast, I started to have some type of feelings for you when I took off a little while ago. Then when I awoke you were there, I had to see what they were so that's why I held you. You seemed to enjoy it so I didn't want to ruin the moment for you."

"I know, It's just... I had this dream, and the more I thought about it, the more I knew there was something more in here," Katara held her hand to her chest, "maybe the time isn't right. There are so many bad things going on now, I wanted something good to hold on to," she added. She felt the locket around her neck. "... My mother gave this to me before she died. It's been carried by the eldest daughter in my family of generations," she took it off and put it in Kehsin's hand, "if you ever sort your feelings out... give this back to me if you feel the same way I do."

"But this is the last thing your mother gave you. I cannot accept this." Kenshin extended it back towards Katara. "What was that dream about if you don't mind shareing with me. Also haveing a love or somebody like it to look forward to spend the rest of your life with after all the fighting is over with is something that everybody needs. For a true warrior there isn't anything for them when a war's over, I don't want that. Hell I rather not be fighting personaly but a sword is a tool to protect others, the ones that cannot defend themself." Kenshin smiled a bit.
"Why do you think I risked my life with such a big bluff when that lady had you, you couldn't defend yourself so I had to."

"My dream... Everything was dark. There were shadowy figures, they were the Heros, or, Anit-Heros if you will. There was a torrent of rain and thunder. Then something pierced the sky. It was a sword. The clouds parted, and the figure holding the sword slayed the Anti-Heros. Then, the figure walked over to me and picked me up. It was... you," Katara said, "the rest... I'll keep to myself," she added.
"And I suppose your right about wars. You did that because, well, your a good man. The first time I met you, back at Ostia, I'll be honest, I didn't like you much. But now... I wasn't to live in some remote mountain village with you. Just get away from all of this. But I know that's not possible. The war won't allow that. And you said..." she stopped talking and held the locket to her chest. " I need to think," she said after she put the locket back on, "when we rest tonight, I'm going to sit alone and think for a little."

"That was an intersting dream, but I'll never be able to defeat them 'anti-heros' on my own. But you didn't like me when you first met me. Why so? I guess I was kinda a jerk then probly didn't realize it becuase I planed on makeing an escape so I could go for Hargus without anybody trying to stop me."
"You never know, we might end up in a remote mountain village one of these days to get away from the rest of the world. Our futere is still unclear but that's on possiblity. Oh when we stop for the night do you want the first shift so you have uninterupted time to think?"

"Yes... That would be nice," Katara said. She looked down at the sand. So many little grains... how did they get here, and where will they go? "In my eyes... you could defeat a herd of dragons," she said.
Katara wrapped a blanket around herself as the sun set and the group stopped to camp. "Cold again..." she said. After she mad sure all were asleep, "is this the way it way meant to be, oh, baby?" she sang, "just blame it on me... and set yourself free. I'll not gonna hold you back now!" she sang out clear to the desert sky, "now that we're here, I feel like myself again. This is the way it is meant to be... I'm not gonna hold you back love!"
Entry One
I am so confused. First, Kenshin hold me. Then he says he didn't want me. Now, he says we might just end up living together. Boys confuse me... Anyway, the desert is entrancingly quiet. Not even the buzzing of a bug can be heard. I like it here, It makes me feel so...peaceful. Like I have no inner turmoil, like there's no secret war going on, like there are no anti-heros running wild... The stillness... reminds me of home. Sometimes I wish there was never these bandit troubles. I would introduce Kenshin to father, of course I'd still meet him, its fate! Father, being the kind man he is, would take to Kenshin like he would his own son. I'm sure Sokka would be so glad too meet him too. Kana would be there too, of course. (fate again) And my sister... Shiani, she'd be glad to see a man for me as well. She's probably married to Damyan by now. They were set to wed when Sokka and I left.

Kenshin heard a soothing voice singing in his sleep. He couldn't figure out who it was or the words they were singing, but it helped him sleep. After a few hours something woke Kenshin. It felt like something bite him on the leg. He quickly looked and it was nothing.
He seen Katara sitting down so he went over and sat next to her. "Hey, if you want to get some sleep I'll take over for a little while."

Katara turned to Kenshin. "Thanks. It's really nice here at night..." she said, "goodnight," she added, lying down under her blanket. As hard as she tried, she couldn't fall asleep. "hmm..." she yawned.

Kenshin looked at Katara as she yawned. He didn't say anything to her, he wasn't in the mood to talk at the moment. Kenshin seen movement in the distance. He slowly got up just in case Katara was awake he didn't want her to know he was about to leave. Kenshin walked till he thought he was a good distance from the camp site then he started to run. The figure disappeared as he started to run.
After an hour Kenshin found the edge of the deasert, a man was standing with his back against a tree waiting for him.
"It's been a long time Kenshin." the man said as Kenshin got near. He looked at the man for a few moments. "What are you doing here, is Sasuke here?" The man shook his head. "No, he sent me and a few others to see if the rumors were ture. We heard from our sources that you and Matis had survied when your village was attacked, and there was two groups in that desert with people from the plains. I guess I'll get a good reward for comferming that his biggest rival is a coward." after that the man stood up and started to walk away and said. "Anything you want me to tell him?"
Kenshin started to walk back to the camp. "Yea, tell him I'll be seeing him some time in the future. And to be ready for anything." The man replied "Alright, will do sir."
Kenshin walked most of the way back, takeing him two hours to get back. When he got their he layed down and started to stare into the empty sky.

Katara had finally fallen asleep. She heard sand moving after a while, like someone walking. She opened her eyes to see Kenshin settle back into the watch place. Where had he been? Katara quickly closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep to avoid detection.

OoC:When people pretend to be sleeping it's so noticable...
BiC: Everything went by as if they were the only ones in the world. Not even an animal passed by. The sky started to get lighter as Kenshin stared into it. He sat up and looked around. He stopped looking when he seen Katara.
"Is it really a good idea to fall in love during a war? Anything could happen to either of us. But then again anything could happen any time. A part of me wants to tell her how much I love her, but for some reason I can't. Is it a fear of loseing her as well since I lost everybody that I cared for. Because if that happened I know I would lose hope, knowing I'll be alone for the rest of my live. But I've got to take a chance."

Katara opened her eyes, tired of trying to get back to sleep. It was almost dawn anyway. She got up and folded her blanket. Everyone else was asleep. Except for Kenshin. "Good morning," she said to him. "I hope we're almost out of this desert. I know it's beautiful at night, but it's not very enjoyable during the noon hours," she added. She conyuned to pack the rest of her htings while humming an upbeat tune.

"We're a few miles from the edge of this place. What you all happy about today?" Kenshin didn't get up so he could give his legs some rest before they start out again.

"No reason. It's just a new day. Who knows what could happen. And we're almost out of the desert," Katara said. She had lit a small fire and put on some eggs she had foun on the ship. "Breakfast?" She asked Kenshin, flipping the eggs in the air.
OoC: my computer room is right near the cooking room and it smells like they're making eggs today.

"Sure why not. But you did seem happy before I told you we were almost out of here. It should take us about two hours of we walk at my pace. How does this idea sound to you, when we make it to the first town we all just relax for the day and have some fun, like everybody goes off and does their own thing since we won't really get that chance really soon." Kenshin had started to dig in his bag to get some water out and took a drink.
