(OoC: Calis said I should make this topic.)
'Well we can't reach Ostia tonight anymore, I will set some guard swifts but this is a mixed bag of soldiers from different companies, I doubt anyone in this camp has a head-count from all the actual soldiers in the camp. If we already have been infiltrated then there is little I can do. We will set out first thing in the morning.' Alan then went to set up the guards.

Matthias just nodded and wondered off. He was a Pherean, who had ended up serving Ostia as a vassal. Somehow, he'd ended up fighting for Santaruz. The situation was weirder than he'd ever imagined it. He let his mind wander as he feet took him through the camp. Various refugees huddling next to shoulders, their meager possessions scattered around them, the only remanants of their old, peaceful lives. Sighing, Matthias's gaze went skyward. He might not particularly like risking his neck, but he wasn't going to let this scene of destruction repeat itself. The only problem was, how could just a few soldiers stop it? It would take a miracle...

Alan saw Matthias look up and he did as well, in the northern sky he saw something that did not please him. he quickly looked down and whispered to himself: 'Damn, I need more time! I can't stay much longer! Time to rap things up and slip away.' Then he turned to Matthias and said: 'Let's see if your friends are here, shall we?'

Matthias nodded, and began searching. He'd lost track of Flyssa, Rath, and the others in the fracas, and had no idea where they were. Hopefully, they weren't in the triage or anywhere like that. He shuddered at the thought. He didn't want to be involved in a war... He glanced over at Alan. Something seemed to be bothering the wyvern rider.
"You in a hurry to get somewhere?" asked Matthias, focusing his attention on the rider.

'Never you mind!' He answered irritated. He didn't need an Ostian vassal getting mixed up in this or everything will be ruined. 'Where is everybody? Rath and Miledy aren't here that I can understand but I send Marcus with Flyssa here too! What is going on? We should go to Ostia Castle and check there.' He mounted Grimbold once more and waited for Matthias to hop on.

Matthias sighed in frustration. The last thing he wanted to do was get back on a wyvern and fly towards Ostia. He didn't particularly want to explain to Sain why he'd been trapsing around in Santaruz. He moved towards Grimbold, steering clear of the mouth, and jumped onto the beast.

A soldier came out of a tent. 'Sir, where are you going?' 'To Ostia.' Alan replied. 'Have the garrison wait for Lord Calis, if he hasn't returned in the evening then you should head back and assist him.'
Ostia Castle wasn't far now, they only had too flie for a few minutes but Alan could sense that Matthias did not like it all the same.

Matthias stormed into the Santaruz camp, angered by the way things had turned out. The camp was smaller than it had been. Some of the refugees had found sanctuarary in other places. Only those with no where to go remained. Clinging to his cloak he went about, searching. one of the soldiers must've noticed him, because he heard his name being called. Turning, he found himself facing a rather impressive paladin in orange armor. "You are Matthias, the Pheran archer serving Ostia, correct?" the grizzled veteran asked. Not knowing what else to do, Matthias nodded. "Good, I was hoping to find you. I saw your mage friend heading north, and was worried you'd be after her soon. We need soldiers like you." Matthias bit back a laugh. "I just got out of the Ostian dungeons. AFter that, I watched two of our leaders fight. Sure, one was a complete ass, but they still fought. last I checked, our leaders had no f**k**g clue what the hell was going on, and they still have no bloody idea," the archer snapped. "I'm leaving, good luck." The archer began storming off, only to be interrupted by an armored hand on his shoulder. "north is the other way, son," the paladin informed him. Nodding, Matthias whirled on his heel. The older veteran looked down on him, having nearly a foot advantage in height. "My name is Marcus. I'm a veteran of Pherae. When you're ready, come back, we'll need your help. Your friend too." Nodding, Matthias headed north, hoping he didn't freeze.

Alexia hopped off an extermely tired Fleetfoot, and quickly moved towards Calis's representative inside the camp. "Lord Calis has ordered that you meld with the Ostian People," she explained, taking a look around the camp. "Which it looks like you're doing already." The grizzled knight nodded. "Aye, and you can tell Lord Calis that those of us loyal to Santaruz will fight to the finish. Of course, we need a few days to organize and spend some time with families," the veteran rubbed his chin. Alexia nodded her agreement. A gauntled hand suddenly appeared on her shoulder, causing her muscles to tense. "There you are, I've been looking everywhere for you," Marcus rumbled from behind her. Sighing in relief, Alexia whirled to face her superior. A few dents in his armor were the only scratches on the sturdy paladin. "Report," Marcus ordered. Alexia filled him in on the details, while Marcus nodded along. When she finished, she stood rigidly silent, hoping that she did the right thing. "I shall have to go and see how things are doing, and find more about this Matis," Marcus spoke. "You need to go and find Matthias. We're going to need his help if we're going to win. We can't be losing good soldiers.... what's the matter?" The order had bothered Alexia, and this had apparently shown. She stiffened, and snapped a salute. "Understood, I will travel north to find Archer Matthias, sir," she responded. Marcus arched an eyebrow but waved off the eager knight. As soon as she was out of sight, Alexia sighed in frustration. Now she was ordered to find the most frustrating man she knew. She swung herself into the saddle, and headed north.
