A Cheshire grin spread across Evayl's face. "Of course! To unite us all under one banner and fight against the true evil." she said. Evayl removed her Heal staff from its strap and held it tightly. "Naturally, you will need a talented healer to keep everyone alive. There is no need to ask, holy knight. For my future husband, I would face any threat!" she shouted. "Now, that's quite enough chatting. There is very much we have to do. Lead the way!"

Rayl stared at her for a moment? Husband," Your engaged? We should celebrate your good fortune some time!"
Poor, poor, oblivious Rayl...but yes there was business to be done.
The bearded man who had been leading them, who was currently spreading the news of Rayl apparently being engaged, but the man's distance and his mumbling made it hard to hear, especially as people began cheering and shouting congratulations for some reason," Well, let us head to the armory to regroup with Lady Aevian of Bern, and so we can supply for the trip."
With this they continued onwards, changing the plan from meeting with the leader once this all occurred, and they headed into the armory, standing besides Aevian as he eyed the weapons as well," Hmmm...is there anything you need while we are here?"

Aevian looked to the man in the armory, and motioned for him to come over, with her hands on a handaxe, and then another. She nodded as she hefted the axes in her hand and deposited a purse of gold coin.
"I'll take these...fine craftsmanship..."
The man took her money and overed a small bow with a smile. Quickly, Aevian rounded on Rayl with a bit of surprise and blinked at him, wondering when it was he entered. Smirking at him, she showed him thw two handaxes that she bought.
"These should do nicely, I think!"
She smirked at Rayl, and glanced at Evayl a moment, raising an eyebrow, and then began making a sort of belting around her thigh for one of the axes, and the same done on the opposite leg for the other. it was a little weird...but atleast it was more comfortable than hanging them off her back.

Rayl soon exited the weapons shop, holding a mighty impressive Lance over his shoulder, and in his right hand a nearly-as-impressive axe. For a traveling noble, Rayl could only have guessed that Aevian wouldn't be carrying too much gold on her, and thus had came to the conclusion that he should arm her with some more powerful weaponry," Madame Aevian, you may wish to use this as well." with this he extended the arm holding the weapon outwards," I do not know what we will face up ahead, but you will undoubtedly need a stronger axe...trade?"
OOC: Dang, Rayl must have done the most weapons trades in the whole roleplay.

Aevian was a little shocked seeing Rayl come out with an axe, and a spear. the spear itself was quite impressive, but the axe was a bit out of place. She eyed it, and then flashed her eyes to Rayl and opened them a little more with a touch of shock.
"Are you certain of this...well...I'm not one to say no to the offer..."
Aevian then took her iron axe out from it's loop, and offered it to Rayl in trade. The steel axe which he had just purchased would go nicely for her. it had a longer handle, which she would enjoy more so she would be able to use two hands much more easily, and still be able to swing one handed...a brilliant design.
OoC: There are 38 uses left on the Iron Axe

"I always keep those who accompany me well supplied." his smile remained as his switched axes, pausing for only a faint moment as their hands touched, before drawing his back, holding the cheaper weapon. he didn't mind. He'd done the same when he swapped swords with Night...he could only hope he, Alcibie, and their young daughter were still safe in Laus...perhaps after their mission in Laus he could convince them to move to Pherae...
He let his thoughts go back to to reality, as he looked back to Evayl," Alright then, Anything else we need while here?"

Aevian tried not to smile so largely, but she couldn't help it. Bowing her head to Rayl, she took the steel axe, and then slung it over her back, since it would be very uncomfortable having the larger axe on her hip.Aevian looked over her shoulder at it and tried to see it, but all she could see was the handle as the axe hung head down, with the handle over her shoulder.
Nodding, she thought this rather good, and then looked to Rayl and Evayl thoughtfully, thinking if there was anything more that was needed, but slowly, she shook her head.
"Not that I know of. I still have some dried meat and fruit in my bags, enough to ration us a few days, unless you figure we need more supplies. And what Luck! We got a pack...an extra horse to load it upon!"
Aevian chimed in melodiously about Evayl's horse, Mely, suppressing a small chuckle.

Evayl ran her hand through Mely's mane and smiled. "I have all the supplies I need for at least a week, but Mely can certainly carry more if you think it's needed." she said. "After all, she is a prime specimen. My father bred her with strength and loyalty." Evayl looked at her mount with pride before turning back to the others. "So, if supplies are not needed, then what is our current objective?"

Rayl strapped the axe to his side, opposite the sword, seeing as it wasn't too large a weapon: he'd be strong enough to wield it in one hand along with his shield," Well Madame Evayl," He had to pause to figure out the name again," We will be heading through Araphen and through the plains for a brief moment before heading into Bern. I can only pray that Lady Aevian will be able to get us a meeting with the Ilian envoy." with this he made one final look around the village, before saddling up and onto Elibe, extending an arm down for the princess...or was it dutchess, he could not recall," There is still lots of ground to cover before night time, and I doubt we will be able to acquire another horse here."

Aevian gave a small, unappreciateive groan at this information, but Aevian nodded, and took his hand, and allowed herself to be pulled up. She moved and grabbed his armor to steady herself, but really, Aevian was uncomfortable on horses, and looked that way as well. She made for a poor noble, not being able to ride a horse, that's for sure.
"Well...lets get a move on then..to Araphen."

OoC: Aww, come on you waited a day? (Thats why I'm posting now.) Since you guy's left I was waiting on Eric, but it looks like I'll have to push it forward.
IC:Abel ran his whetstone across his blade, noticing its weathered look. But he had no time to ponder this because Eric's mom called her guests to dinner.
Abel had a wonderful time, relaxing and talking about regular stuff. Abel began talking with Eric, and they swapped stories about things they had done. But then Abel turned serious.
"So Eric, what are going to do now that your dad is back? I'd hate to say it, but I'm leaving in two days, with or without Kasey. I don't know why, but I feel like I need to get back home."
Where are you Kasey? I need to get home, but I can't wait for you. Maybe its best if you stayed where ever you are, so that you don't get hurt.

When dinner was called, Tuatara rushed in and scarfed his food. While the others were enjoying themselves, he began putting food into his satchel for his trip with Aero's. He stole a few forks and other things but all he knew about was the food.
When are we leaving? Where's Aeros? Oh!
Tuatara quickly, but silently, ran out of the house where Aeros was waiting. "I got some food just in case," he whispered as he waited for Aeros to transform.
(OoC: The rest happens only if Aeros approves, cause I don't want to get in trouble for god modding.)
Tuatara jumped onto Aeros after he transformed and thought of Manis as they flew off into the night.

The whole affair had been strange, but it had also been distracting; Eric had never thought of what he had wanted to do afterward, but now that Abel had forced him to think about it, this could be an opportunity. While the village wasn't exactly isolated, it was far enough from any major city that only the most able men would travel to another city for a job or just to get away. But with Abel...couldn't Eric be some help? One person would be dead, while two could stand a chance.
Of course, nothing could happen on a day like this without something stranger occurring, and for the second time that day, Eric heard an odd sound. This time it registered instantly, and he rushed to the door, heart already accelerating. It can't be! Is there another dragon coming? Or is Aeros really...? A look out the door caught only a glimpse of the dragon as he departed, the young, bright-haired thief the confirmation that it indeed was the manakete. "Um, dad?" Eric called, still awkward at being able to say it. "I think your friend just...left."
To Eric's surprise, Manuel seemed nonchalant; since it could be something to get used to, Eric filed it away, determining to find out exactly what would scare his father. "Sounds about right," Manuel told him, coming to the door to watch the dragon dwindle and disappear. "If his story's right, he won't settle down easy. Then there's our visitor earlier." When Eric's curiosity registered, his father explained, "Sir Rayl of Pherae stopped by earlier. Aeros seems to know him from the bandit war awhile ago. I guess he needed something familiar to go to. Anyway, don't let it bother you. If you take that offer, you may see our scaly friend sooner or later." Of course Manuel had heard; Eric couldn't possibly be familiar with his listening skills. "I'm still not sure if I'll do it," the boy said, "but it...sounds alright. Abel did help us, after all." "Why don't we let him stay the night? He can rest up, sort out his own plans, let you think on it. The nearest village isn't exactly a leisurely stroll away." "That sounds okay. I'll do that." It took only long enough for Eric to explain the offer to Abel before he had decided: he needed to go. Nothing kept him here, even with his father back, because he wanted--needed--to see what happened outside his little village. It didn't need him any more, and his father took it well enough.
The night didn't change his decision, so as his mother prepared breakfast, Kasey in tow as usual, Eric approached Abel and told him, "I'll come. When do we leave and what do we need?"

"Well, today would be fine, and you'll need money and most likely warm clothes for when we get closer to my home."
They all sat down and ate some breakfast, and during this time Kasey wandered off and was never seen again. Where did Kasey go? Well, I guess we leave without her.
After breakfast Abel strapped his sword onto his back after changing into his armor. He picked up his bag, and walked over to Eric and asked if he need help.
OoC:My sis told me to make her disappear, and I'm sure my bro's probably never getting back on either.

In reality, Eric had very little to pack, and most of it was done for him: his father had already gathered rations for two that would last if nothing else; his warmest clothes consisted of several of his ordinary clothes in layers, with heavier boots thrown in; and, again, his father had already taken care of the finances, leaving Eric with a small but respectable amount of gold. "I have everything, I'm waiting on you." The excitement Eric felt needed no tamping down. Frustration could overcome him, but everything else he took with a grain of salt naturally, letting logic win out. Running through the list of supplies, thinking of any goodbyes that hadn't been said, and, yes, a small amount of fear for his parents took up the young pupil's thoughts.
Of course, one can wonder about preparations for only so long before the more pressing details come to light. So it was now. "Where...are we going, anyway? Will we head straight to Ilia, or do we need to stop somewhere on the way? I haven't seen a map of anywhere farther than Ostia." This could be good...
