"Yeah..." He avoided a direct gaze at Yaen as he spoke. He's known for a while now, Yaen told him in one of their training sessions. "I've been thinking about this for a while now..." His eyes slightly drifted to Kelvin, Sir Waltz, Chelsea... He didn't really belong in this place, he's just a kid who got caught up in over his head. The thought of going to actual war scared him, yes it's for the best.
"I'm going with you..." He's always longed to see the plains of Sacae, also the mountains of Bern and snow of Ilia, but that was a different matter. He would of added something about how he would only come if Yaen didn't mind, but he had a feeling that wouldn't help anything. He obviously didn't mind, or he wouldn't of even asked. He looked again to the group of people. Should he say goodbye?
...
No, it's best if he didn't. Besides, they probably won't even notice.

Chelsea stopped fussing over Kelvin for long enough to see that Val had returned too. She gave another sigh of relief. She was glad to see him back safe too. She gave him a big wave and a smile. She was starting to feel better. Maybe it was the fact she knew everyone was safe. Who knew. She gave Val a look over for injuries but really couldn't see anything from where she sat. Promising Kelvin she'd be right back, she popped up and made her way over to him.
When she got closer, she could tell Val, Yaen and the new archer guy were having some kind of talk. She didn't want to interrupt. The archer stood away from them, waiting quietly. She caught Val's eye at one point and gave him a smile. She made a little motion saying she wanted to talk when he was done and went back to waiting.

He caught Chelsea's eye, she beckoned him, but he couldn't help but feel odd about it. It was as if she had some sixth sense to know the exact moment to say something, be it good or bad. She had some sharp intuition, that was for sure. He hesitated, not exactly sure it would be good to leave at this time. But... he gave his answer, and Yaen was probably more interested in the answer of the archer then him. Something told him that Yaen expected him to go along the whole time, not that it surprised Valcrist, he'd been planning on going the whole time anyway.
He bowed his head at the two, "Excuse me." He said quite politely wandering away from the duo, and closer to his friend. As he neared, he wiped wet bangs out of his face, though he was really regretting he didn't have a clean change of clothes right now. They were wet, muddy, and torn looking. Like he had been living in the wild for years rather then just going out for a small excursion.
"H-hey..." He hesitated, but ultimately smiled. If he was indeed leaving, this will be the last time he talked to her. Best to leave it on a good note for his first friend in the outside world. "Did you want something?"

Chelsea watched as Val excused himself and came over to her. "Yeah, I did. I wanted to come over and make sure you're ok. I know Kelvin got hurt out in the fight and I wanted to make sure you were alright." She pulled out her tape again. "Or at least help to wrap you if you got hurt at all." She gave another of her smiles and twirled the tape around her finger. She let her eyes run over Val, checking for injuries as they went. Even if she saw one, she wouldn't just wrap it right up. She wanted Val to say whether or not just attack him with it. "Did you get hurt at all?" She ask, a look of concern on her face.

"O-oh. That's all? Thank you." His heart calmed down a bit, as his face fell out of apprehension and into an easy grin. Turns out she wasn't quite as psychic as he feared. "I had a small injury, but I already took care of it." He felt the spot he had bandaged under his clothing, the wolf's claws tore into him, but it wasn't deep or serious. A booboo at best. "I'll be fine, if you want to help someone who's hurt, you should look at that guy we brought in. He was messed up, I hope he'll be ok..."
"What about you guys? It seems things weren't quite as calm as I would of thought around here. Were you attacked as well?" He mentioned offhand, looking at the blond haired woman, who was looking quite weak at the moment.

Chelsea pocketed her tape with one more spin. "I'm glad you're ok, then." She said with a smile, before it turned into a bit of a frown as she looked towards the man Val and Yaen had carried in. "I wish I could do something for him, but I only have my tape. We can have the new healer-girl check him out when she's feeling better."
Then she realized Val hadn't known about her yet. "Oh no, we weren't attacked. That blonde girl, the healer, we heard her yelling. Some of the guys still in the cave hurried out to help her. She should be fine with some rest." She gave a confident nod at that before turning back to Val. "I'll let you go, I don't want you to get in trouble with Yaen." She leaned up and gave him a friendly little kiss on the cheek. "I'm glad you're ok, Val. I'll talk to you tomorrow." With a little pat on his arm and one last smile, she turned and made her way back to Kelvin before plopping down beside him.

"Bye Chelsea." He smiled to her as she walked away, and took a good look. His cheek felt warm, and he felt a little cruddy on the inside. He made his way back towards his bag. He already excused his self, he didn't want to go back and bother Yaen. He didn't need to do any particular packing, since he traveled light to begin with. What he did need to do is buy a new outfit. But... His eyes wandered back over to her. He stared, knowing he may never see her again... so he wanted to remember her, like this now. With Kelvin, happy. No... you won't. Take care of her Kelvin.

Wein nodded to Yaen. If anyone in his family was still alive, they wouldn't be in Ostia, and Sacae made a good refuge, what with its wide open plains. The Sacaean was also right. There'd be no problem delivering the news of Ostia's destruction. In fact, most of the local lords probably knew already. Wein couldn't imagine that refugees hadn't spread the news of the destruction.
"I'm coming," replied the archer. "I've never been to Sacae before, so this will be a new experience for me. You know I'm always looking for those." Wein hadn't really made his presence known to the group yet, so his absence wouldn't mean anything.

Arturia gave up. She couldn't stand up. Her body was too weak now. "Sorry." She muttered to herself. She wanted to heal the wounded man over there, but her body demanded a rest.
Then, she thought about this group. The blonde cleric wondered where they were heading now. She wanted to ask to someone? But who? She didn't know anyone, she just knew Fargo who sat beside her. She heard his names when he introduced himself. But Fargo seemed tired and she didn't want to bother him when he needed rest.
There was a group of people in the other side near the wounded man. She decided to call them. "Aa.." She noticed that she didn't know their names. "Excuse me, can I ask something?" Arturia hoped someone would hear her. If they went to Bern, she wanted to go with them.

Fargo had closed his eyes, letting his sore legs be still. His lungs did not hurt as much as they did before, and that was thanks to Arturia's healing abilities. These abilities did help his legs as well, but not fully. However, this was not what was bothering the archer.
What gave Fargo concern now was Joseph. He hadn't been told by anyone if they saw the pirate. The bowman's concern was growing. Being that the pirate was his friend, Fargo would never want to abandon him. Joseph did not abandon him back some few days ago, when he was close to dying.
The bowman opened his eyes when he heard the cleric's voice call out softly. Her voice didn't startle him, rather pulled him out of a trance. Slowly, he looked to his side where Arturia was sitting. She looked tired like Fargo. It was obvious the cleric needed something. Even with his exhaustion, the green haired archer would not simply sit there and do nothing to help. Fargo had told Arturia that he owed her.
In a tired voice, the bowman spoke to the cleric. "Like, hey... Umm, Arturia, do you need something...?" His voice had trailed off a bit, but he was still conscious. The archer's eyes were half open, looking into the clerics eyes.

The first one who respond to her question was Fargo. "I think you are sleeping," she said. Then she looked to Fargo, the archer seemed get better than before, she smiled. She was always happy if she could help people. She moved closer to the tired archer, maybe she could ask him. "Actually, I am just wondering, where is this group heading to? If it is Bern, I want to join."
While asking, her hand unconsciously move to her forehead again, feeling her fever. As she expected, her fever didn't get better, in fact it just got worse. She sighed, even she could heal other people's wound, she didn't have ability to heal a simple fever..

After some time of not being noticed, the pirate decided to take some action. It was not that he required any attention, the sea rover found it odd that such a group would not attend to their wounded. He was told the mainland people were far more caring than the common population in the Western Isles. This, Joseph found by spending time on a ship. When sailing on the Rough-Boot, kindness for the wounded was looked down upon. The pirate life held little to no compassion towards your peers.
Slowly, Joseph propped himself in a sitting position on the board he was lying on. He did this carefully, feeling the pain from his wounds, created from battling those monstrous creatures. As he rose slowly, he noticed the only person close to him was the darkly clothed, odd one. The strange man did not seem to be the type of person one would simply walk up to and ask for help. But the sea dog was much bigger than him and probably much stronger as well.
The pirate reached out towards the darkly clothed man, and nudged the man's arm gently. Thankfully, Joseph was close enough to the stranger so that he could do this, without falling off the board. The sea-wolf then said to the man, "Oi, yew... Can ya tell me who's who and what's what 'round 'ere?"

Yaen nodded."Very well. Then we'd best get some sleep. I don't intend on sticking around for very long." he replied. He then looked up at the cleric who had somehow found her way in. "This group is going to Laus." he replied. "I will take you as far as Sacae. After that, you'll have to figure out your own way to Bern." With that, he lowered his head, and tried to get some sleep.

Gabriel worried that someone had been bitten by the wolves, like he had, but closer inspection showed that there were only claw marks on their clothes and bodies. He looked down at his arm, still feeling a sting where the beasts' teeth had left their marks.
There were far too many newcomers for him to even worry about introducing himself now. The cave was small, and greeting everyone here would be madness. They'd have enough time to talk in the morning, once the rain subsided.
He made his way around the now uncomfortably large group and laid his back against the wall closest to the fire. The warm, crimson waves slowly made him drift to sleep. Staying awake wouldn't be of much use now.

The wet boy slowly folded into his self as he brought his muddy knees to his chest. This cave was impossibly crowded and there was no room to lounge around. He looked over to the axeman they had brought in earlier, feeling worried about him, but he noticed the man was moving around. He was still heavily wounded, but he was going to be fine. Val knew this, tough people like him don't fall to such wounds. They just become scars to brag about later in life.
He smiled for a moment, feeling a bit more at ease, then it quickly faded when his mind reminded him that he wasn't sticking around. This was the last time he'll probably see these people, so if there was anything he needed to say... the only time to say it is now. Only... Valcrist wasn't good at talking. He stuttered, he hesitated, and he never spoke his mind. Instead... he dug into his bag, looking past a crumpled wad of failed drawing and grabbed his sketching book. Flipping past the drawing of the cave, he started to work on something new. He would work on this as long as it took, unless sleep crept up and claimed him in the night.
