Rin slithered through the thick woods as she hoped to find her sister. As she had no sense of direction outside of Sacae, she had no idea where she were going. Her goal is to try and meet her missing sisters in Ilia, but it was too hard for her to know where she was going at the first place. Getting permission from her mother was a bigger deal. She had to fight with her mother all night and swore that she'll bring her sisters someday.
"Great, I should have brought the horse too. Would've been so much easier to travel with it. Hoo..." She sighed as she kept going through the woods stepping on dead branches on the ground. She felt a drop on her nose. She held up her index finger and touched the tip of her nose and felt something cold. It was raining. "Raining? At this day? Actually, I'm grateful I didn't even bring the horse here with me." She finds a bigger tree on the way out of the forest and walks toward the tree to avoid the rain drops, but that's when she saw a person. No, more and more kept being revealed as she kept walking. They were few people there.

((I'll assume you meant me and Kelvin, since everyone else in in the cave a bit aways, and us two are the only ones out here.))
Nope, no, no dry wood here. Here either. Just wet nasty wood and mud. Ugh, mud. He's going to have invest in some actual shoes the next time he goes to buy supplies. Sandals just weren't made for trekking through forests. His blue shirt clung tightly to his drowned rat of a frame, and he was almost jealous of Kelvin's armor. It was probably waterproof... If it was anything like the armor his mother made that is. If it was something cheap... maybe it'd just rust? That would be terrible.
Wait... "Hey. Do you see what I see?" He squinted, thinking he saw a human shaped figure in the rain. "No, not dry wood." He added before Kelvin could ask. "But a person... I wonder what they're doing all the way out here?" They weren't finding anything useful anyway, a momentary distraction wouldn't kill them. The person was underneath a particularly big tree, probably trying to avoid being drenched. "Hey! You! Are you okay!?"

Rin looked at the ground filled with mud and shoe prints from the path she walked through. The shoe prints were getting filled with rain. She stared at her outfit which was wet. Ugh, she hated being wet. Her hair was wet too. She wanted to untie her hair, but for the Sacaen nomadic pride, she just had to keep it tied. It was actually part of her family tradition actually.
She looked over the yonder only to be seeing a person looking at her. "Hmm?" She squinted her eyes noticing it was a boy. "Hey! You! Are you okay!?" That man yelled from few meters away from her. She smiled and waved lightly, "I'm good. Just a little wet." Her clothes were getting soaked with water. Soon the bright red will be turned into burgundy red which was one of her most hated colors, but what could she do with beloved mother nature?

It was a girl, he could tell by the voice and the... uh... figure. She was wearing a lot of red, and was beginning to be all drenched. Probably a few years younger then him, but not by much. He sorta kinda waddled over, the normal plip plop of his sandals instead making gross squishing noises in the soft soil. He cringed a bit with each step, he would need a bath later. It's odd how water can get you so dirty sometimes.
"Hey." He smiled as he came up. It was nice to see a face that didn't involve fangs and the desire to eat him hole. "It's a bit silly to stand out in the rain, isn't it?" He laughed at his hypocrisy. He didn't know this person, but he couldn't just abandon someone. Even a total stranger in the rain. That was mean, and rain sucked. "As long as you promise not to kill us in our sleep, you should come back with us. It's a small cave, but it's not as wet. I can show you the way, but I need to find some dry firewood first..."

Totally, a guy. Maybe slightly older than herself, but she wouldn't mind. The man had a blade with him, but weirdly, he didn't have a special kind of armor which noble warriors mostly wears. He looked kind, gentle, and sweet to her. But he was a total stranger, she wouldn't know that clearly.
"Hi." She smiled back at the boy. With a closer look, she was sure he wasn't that bad or dreadful. Before Rin tries to say a word the boy asks, "It's a bit silly to stand out in the rain, isn't it?" Rin nodded and flipped her soaked bangs to the sides. "It just started to rain when I was just walking through the forests. I'm totally lost. I was about to go to Ilia, but I lost the map unfortunately..."
Then he talked about leading her to a cave where rain shouldn't be touching at all. At least not so much like she is getting hit by drops right now under a large tree. "I don't kill people unless otherwise. Don't worry. As long as I don't get wet, any place is fine. Firewood? On the way here, before the rain zone came along, I saw bunch of dry ones over there. Want to go get some?" Then she noticed the rain still pouring down. "After this rain, or right now? I'm already soaked, so I'm fine."

"Ilia? I think you're going in the wrong direction." Scanning over the maps memorized in his head. "You're closer to Etruria I'm afraid." He laughed. The rain was a bit less relentless under the tree, that was a good sign. He turned his head over to look at Kelvin, who was lagging behind a bit as usual. He turned back to the girl and smiled a bit nervously. "This is my... friend Kelvin." Gesturing at the green cavalier. He hesitated at the word 'friend'. He didn't know the man very much, but what else would he call him? He was obviously more friendly then simple acquaintances, but were they really friends? Well, it would have to work for now, he just hoped Kelvin took no offense.
"Oh." He suddenly realized, he introduced Kelvin before his self. Talk about rude. "I'm Valcrist." He nodded his head at the teenage girl. "And it would be awesome if you could show me the wood right away. I'm tired of this rain, but I can't go back emptyhanded." He already felt a tad bit useless, though no where near as bad as before, so he didn't want to go back a failure. That would be lame.

"I knew it! I was suppose to go to the other road. If only I learned to memorize the map map itself..." She sighed and smiled at the man, until he said she was closer to Etruria. "Wha- Etruria?! Oh no, I totally came to a wrong direction!" She sighed again and straightened her body and looked at a green armored man. "This is my... friend Kelvin." The blue boy said. "Hello, Kelvin."
Then the man suddenly changed his expression looked at Rin. "I'm Valcrist." Valcrist? That was one unique name. During her life in Sacae, she never heard the name Valcrist. Maybe because she was around her property too much. "I'm Rin." She said as she walked over to the path she was at. She pointed over the yonder through the forest. "It's a bit straight over there. The rain should disappear soon enough."

"Don't worry, the group I'm heading with is heading to Laus. I'm sure you can pay for a trip with a caravan to Ilia from there." Traveling with caravans, Valcrist has met more then one person that way. Sometimes he'd meet warriors traveling to his village with the caravan, but he was also too timid to ask them anything. Now he wished that he had took the time to... Though, regretting the past isn't a good way to move forwards, so he just pushed those thoughts aside. "If you just ask Sir Waltz, I'm sure he'd understand. I mean, they took me with them and I was just some dumb kid with a sharp stick." I still am, kinda.
"Nice to meet you Rin." He nodded with a smile. It was probably the fact she was around his age that he felt so comfortable. If it was some adult decked out in armor and a huge blade of killing, he'd stay far FAR away. This was just a young girl with a bow. Call him foolish if you want, but she just didn't give him any reason to be overly cautious. Kinda like when he met Chelsea and Harlow... He seemed to get along well with archers, for whatever reason.
"I'm happy to hear the rain might be clearing. I'm dead tired of this stuff. I missed when it never rained." He groaned, following her. If she truly had a hidden agenda, well Val was a complete sucker. He was following a stranger deeper in the woods, that just screamed naive...

"Okay then, just keep following me." Rin and Valcrist, both went into the woods together. A guy and a girl, quite weird if you ask me. "You're traveling to Laus? Cool, I'll just get the caravan there and go to Ilia and see if I can search for my missing siblings. They're such a trouble. In their 20's making the family worry bunch about them." She was pushing out the long, stretched branches out of the way as the man kept following her in search for a fire wood. "They're so immature sometimes..." She coughed then sighed, immediately changing it into a smile.
"Valcrist, was it? Where are you from? I can't judge people's origin by their outfit, so it's kind of hard to tell. You seem like a Sacaen for some reason, or is it just me?" Whatever, she was just getting to know the guy better and better. He was holding a blade, and yet she wasn't scared. Why wasn't she? Was it because she stayed next to her father wielding a sword too much? She just didn't know.
"Me too. The rain is nice, but too much rain that can get your outfit soaked and wet would be terrible. I have to take a bath soon enough." As they got deeper into the woods, the rain was at last starting to clear up turning it into only little rain. Rin pointed at a bundle of wood in front of her. "Those are quite dry, want to take some?" She asked as she moved over to the woods hopefully getting her clothes dried off as she work.

"Ok." There wasn't much to say, but he followed her worldessly. He touched the hilt of his sword with an open palm, a slightly odd look on his face. He didn't really know what to think. Her outfit sold her as a Sacaen, it looks similar to Chelsea's in the sense it put comfort and mobility over armor. The designs, the style it was familiar. The colors were new, though, still that didn't change anything. He didn't have any siblings, so he couldn't really relate... Well... In a way he could. He didn't have a younger sister, but he was sure his mother was worried about him... it made him feel guilty. He left without even telling her. Even though he sent letters, he never got one back, though that may be just because he's traveling around too much.
He stayed silent in his guilt, look around the woods for the dry wood he was searching for. Something Gabe can burn for their fire. Hopefully they wouldn't mind a new person. The cave was big enough for another person. But another two or three might make things difficult... luckily random people weren't just showing up at the cave. "Yeah, it's Valcrist. I know, it's a kinda weird name." He chuckled to his self. It was, never had he met another with his name. His mother said he was named after someone she looked up to... but she never said who that was. "Hrm? Me? No, I'm not from Sacae. I'm actually from Nabata. You know, the desert?"
"Great, I'll just gather these up then..." I need a bath too. My feet are covered in mud, and I bet I smell like wet animal and pine... Well it beats the steel and sweat smell I usually have. He kneeled down to bundle them up, then had a thought. "Wait... how am I going to keep them dry?" Crap. He didn't think this all the way through. The rain was light here, but it was probably still pouring back at camp. They would get soaked on the way there.

"Oh, the Nabata Desert. I heard it was very harsh there... Rain must be rare there too, isn't it?" She said as she bundles up the fire wood. Now, let's see. We gotta keep them together real tight, so that it wouldn't fall off." She stood up with a bundle between her arm and went off walking slowly.
Seriously, I really need a bath. I smell like rotten meat now! Err... "What? Oh... it's raining over there isn't it? They'll probably gonna be wet as we go on... Oh!" She started digging out of her outfit and found a thick towel. I keep it just in case in an emergency. Not this kind of emergency, but more of an injury. Didn't know I would be using it here." She smiled and covered the bundles up with it. "We just gotta go back before the towel gets soaked."

OoC: Sorry for vanishing. I had myself a couple of busy days.
Aaron didn't answer the mages query right away. He was busy taking in the scene in front of him. His hesitation resulted in introductions being made for him, by Morgoth. Then his something caught his attention. It was the dark haired sacaen from he'd been traveling with, Yaen. He wasn't very surprised to find him in the area, given they'd both been on the same task.
"You're telling me." Aaron said to the sacaen, when he said something about the fire. The green-haired mage had managed to allay most of the doubts that had assailed him about continuing to use fire, and had improved his skill enough to feel more confident about it's use. The mage gave a weak grin before saying to Yaen,"I'm glad you made it out of that."
He turned to the one who had addressed him before. Gabriel, He'd been called. "As has already been said, I'm Aaron. Aaron Winsett, a mage from Ryerde... and most recently, scout for hire. May we share your camp?" Aaron was tired, and it showed. He'd not slept in a proper bed since Laus, and he'd been traveling overland since they'd seperated, after the fire.
Destruction on the scale that he'd seen changed people. It had only been a short amount of time, but he'd already recognized the changes in himself. Perhaps they were temporary, caused more by stress, and weariness than Ostia's Ruins, but he'd found himself with less patience, and less concern over the enemies he fought. Bandits just weren't worth the effort of feeling sorry for anymore.

"If Yaen trusts you, then I don't see why not" Gabriel replied. "Gabriel Waltz" he said, extending his hand to both Aaron and Morgoth. "The...wood is running out. Damn, where are Valcrist and Kelvin?"
He'd have to strain himself to keep the fire running without wood. It wouldn't hold for long. Hopefully the myrmidon and cavalier would make it back before he fainted. Gabriel sat down again, his back against a wall, set his tome on his lap. A stream of flames poured from his fingers and right into the fire, strengthening it.
"Come closer to the fire" he said to the newcomers. "You better get dry before you catch a cold."

Kelvin watched as Valcrist went over to greet the newcomer. She was girl about Val's age, so he hung back a bit slowly sloshing through the mud towards them, He moved slowly, watching the two of them. Val had completely forgotten about him, but Kelvin simply smiled to himself. This was what the kid needed after watching Chelsea and him for the past of couple days. When Val introduced him, he simply nodded his head towards the newcomer. "Another Sacaen? Chelsea will like that," Kelvin thought to himself "Oh good, she knows where firewood is." Kelvin followed the two quietly as they conversed. When the finally got to the firewood, Kelvin picked up a large pile and went a little ahead of the pair. "I should leave these two alone," he thought to himself, smiling cleverly.

Val looked at the Lycian man with a cocked eyebrow. He was uncharacteristically quiet... Well not so uncharacteristic. He knew little outside of his interaction with Chelsea that Val was forced to overhear with many groans. He seemed to be going off by his self. He was probably too busy thinking about Chelsea to even talk to him, rude. I guess I'll just ignore it...
He sighed and turned back to Rin. "Oh, thanks. That will work perfectly. We should hurry though, I don't want to have to stand in the mud anymore then I have to." He quietly laughed at his self. He probably sounded like an idiot, then again he always felt like he did. "Chelsea's my friend, she's also a Sacaen archer. Small world, huh?" He said with another light laugh, bundling up the wood in the towel. Maybe he should think about carrying something like this around his self? A towel can have a lot of uses.
