OoC: When I first came up with my idea, I didn't mean for it to be automatically applied, I was waiting for an approval from both of you first. Oh well, lol.
Also, Virgil, you might wanna be a little careful with that RP post there, it can be called "controlling others' characters", although I doubt Ether minds (and I know I don't mind that slight controlling there).
BiC: Amidst the confusion where Vyer had dropped the tree on Wedner and the riders, Michelle swiftly took out her bow, aimed and shot as many wyverns as she could through their wings, hoping that it would slow down the riders or, in the best case scenario, stop them from following the wyvern as they left.
Michelle looked up at the sky for a brief moment to see Vyer getting closer to the ground. Michelle then took another look at Wedner and his company and saw that they had given up on mounting their wyverns and was coming towards the group. Michelle picked up her bow and took aim, at the same time, saying, "Ether, get ready! You, stay back!"
OoC" You refers to Virgil, btw.
Also: Iron Bow has 40 uses left for the few shots that Michelle had fired.

Virgil responded to the woman's orders in a predictable way "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" A subtle indicator that he was going to run instead. This oddly added to the silver-haired wyvern-riders distraction as none of the riders could hear their commanders orders. Virgil committed this moment to memory, making sure to lie about it later; making sure to say it was a tactical decision. Luckily the tree dropping and subsequent distraction had created a route of escape; providing he was willing to jump of the right or left side of the roof.
Virgil tried to remember what sort of towers or structures were available to the right and left. To the right was a sheer drop to the keep entrance. To the left there was a ballista emplacement about a floor down. Virgil made the rather hasty decision that he could survive the fall. Then he was off.
Unfortunately his screaming had attracted the attention of about six javelins. Three missed completely, thanks mostly to ducking behind the black-wyvern's tree, one caused a deep graze his cheekbone; which unfortunately caused him to stop for a moment in shock. this moment caused two more javelins to become embedded in the shoulder-pads from his armor. Luckily Virgil had purchased replacement pauldrons that were much too large for him, causing the javelins to pierce no actual flesh. Unfortunately the force of the blow propelled Virgil directly off the castle with less control then he would like, leading to a landing that was awkward, painful, and disorientating. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wedner had pulled out his hand-axe while the traitor Virgil decided to whine and cry like a dying child. Once he was knocked off the tower, he yelled to his troops "Gates, Herrsten, Natasha, don't bother following the Black one. Gates, do into the courtyard and get reinforcements. You three. Get the archer!" While his squad was moving he took a deep breathe then bellowed with a deep reverberating voice that seemed to echo around the castle. "Ballista captains! aim in front of the black wyvern. If you cannot see him aim far in front of the furthest wyvern on our side!" Wedner then readied his weapon for combat and began to advance on the archer's position.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virgil awoke with spots in his eyes and pain all around. His legs were in such pain that he was fairly certain they were made out of fire. As he regained his senses he realized where he stood. Right on top of the ballista. And the ballista while not loaded, was fully cocked. And Captain Jasper was at the firing position. His four assistants had the largest grin on their faces. He looked behind him and saw that their view let them see the wyverns as silhouettes reflected on the moon. For a moment Virgil looked at Jasper dumbfounded; Jasper on the other hand, looked at Virgil a little bored. Then Virgil "Hey Jasper." "...Hey Virgil." "...what are you doing?" "Lack of Ammo. Improvising. FIRE!" Virgil whipped his sword up as a desperate defense, but the ballista chord whipped through Virgil's blade and shattered his armor; propelling him through the night towards the black-wyvern. "CATCH ME! CATCH ME! CATCH ME! OH FORTUNE! CATCH ME!"

OOC: I so laughed at the part when Virgil was use as ammo! Good stuff man.
Ether looked Virgil confused and a tad disappointed. Right now he seemed as mainly as his little sister Holly. As the noivce flew at him, Vyer let out a roar and flew up into the air and grabbed the man and then placed him down on the ground on his feet. Ether watched as it seemed Wedner was coming at Michelle without his wyvern, a foolish mistake.
Vyer then lunged in front of Wedner in a defensive stance guarding Michelle. Ether smirked as Wedner backed up in fear of the armor plated wyvern.
"So Ether it looks as if you stole one of the things we shipped here," The Commander said nervously.
"Yeah I did and the color goes well with Vyer so thanks," Ether replied smirking. Vyer then let out a hiss which made Wedner back up a bit.
Ether then looked up as Wedner's huge blue wyvern lunged over the tree at Vyer. Vyer growled as then spun around wiping the wyvern with his tail that had spiked armor on it. The attack caused the wyvern to fly head first into the wall going straight through it. Vyer then jumped in front of Wedner and let out a loud roar.
"Vyer!" Ether shouted controlling his wyvern. "Killing him is the easy way out we'll bring him to Bern and let the people there deal with him," The white haired rider said as the black wyvern turned around and walked slowly to Michelle and Virgil.
"We have to get out of here jump on Vyer and we can fly out of here," Ether said to his two companions as he actually noticed what was going on. Vyer had dodged some arrows and lances during the ordeal so far and the armor had probably helped to.

Virgil didn't open his eyes until the sounds of weaponry clanging to the ground stopped; it was right around the time that wall fell down because a blue wyvern decided to get himself knocked into it. Virgil then decided to risk dying with his eyes open. What he saw was that they were surrounded as though in a dome by Wyvern riders. All of them with weapons poised ready to attack.
He turned to his new wyvern-riding friend. Right as reinforcements came up behind them. In all honesty he didn't particularly care what they had stolen. It didn't seem important at the moment, so instead Virgil stated "You are, without doubt, the most optimistic insane person I ever met."
Virgil then turned to Wedner, who had his arm up as though ready to command an order. "Hello Master." Surprisingly Wedner stopped in order to quint at the young man. "Oh is that you Virgil?" "Yes master, I regretfully inform you that Jack won't be seeing you this evening sir. I was forced to kill him to prove my disloyalty." "Well, that's a shame. But we have a free wyvern available if you feel like betraying your new companions just like you did to your older ones." "I never pledged myself to your organization sir, only to you, and no thanks sir, if it helps I have sworn I won't attack you. However I am regretfully leaving from my role as student." "Well Virgil that's a shame. it's been a real pleasure. I hope you and your hypocrisy rot in hell. All units! Attack!" The Wyverns charged the Black Wyvern; though they carried weapons it was clear they were moving to cage it inside. The reinforcements on the other hand fired and threw everything they had at the archer, the rider and Virgil without restraint.
Wedner launched a mighty axe towards the fellows before drawing his spear. The axe returned to his off hand. But he readied the lance and charge. His senses told him this wasn't the way to fight a wyvern rider. His anger told him that there was a first time for everything. As he charged at the enemy before him he thought of his blue wyvern and cried her name. "For Snu-Snu!"
Virgil deflected an axe headed towards his face. In desperation he yelled out "Fly you fool, fly!" It was at that time, that rain began to fall on the castle roof.

OoC: Sorry, I was busy preparing for my prelims which start on Monday, so I was unable to post much.
BiC: Michelle felt the first raindrops on her cheeks as Wedner started his fierce charge towards the three of them. Michelle knew that despite the advantage they had had over Wedner due to the fact that Wedner was not on his wyvern wouldn't matter much because of the fact that they were sorely outnumbered. When the rain started falling, Michelle felt that things were finally starting to go their way, as the rain would be able to cover their escape well.
"Ether! You! Let's all move now! We cannot deal with this numbers, and the rain would be able to cover our escapes well, especially with Vyer being black!", she said, moving over to the knight, not caring if the man who had joined them earlier was following or not. She had watched as that man was launched as an ammunition at them, and watched as Wedner had tried to attack him, so she knew at least that he would not betray them at this junction.

hearing what the archer was saying Virgil decided to make an interesting choice and tied his chains around the wyvern and clasped it to his hands. If he was taking off Virgil was coming with him. If the rider, named Ether apparently, he was going to have to remember that, managed to die he could still get free. Many of the men charging from the stairs threw whatever they could at the archer. One large, muscular man managed to pry the door off to use as a makeshift shield.
Virgil threw his sheath at one of the enemies taking aim at him. It threw off his aim enough. Then Virgil felt the shadows of the enemy wyverns blocking out the sunlight and he shivered in fear.

Michelle stood her ground as the riders and bandits with Wedner started hurling even more projectiles at them. They really were desperate now, weren't they? Wedner and his band definitely had a motive in arranging this mission, and definitely had a strong reason to stop Michelle and the knight. Was it to make them act as scapegoats to the mission? Michelle didn't know, but it would definitely be better not to know.
As the bandits started hurling even more projectile, Michelle retreated, avoiding many of the projectiles they had aimed, although a spear had grazed her right leg as it fell. Michelle turned around. The number of bandits at the scene were steadily increasing as even more poured out from the stronghold. There was no way to beat them all! They had to GO! NOW!
"Hurry, we're losing our advantage very quickly! There are reinforcements from the stronghold!"

"Vyer go!" Ether shouted as he whipped the wyvern's reigns. The wyvern then lunged through the air at Virgil stopping right behind the man. Ether then grabbed hold of him and tossed him on Vyer's back.
"We're getting out of here now!" He growled as Vyer then ran to Michelle standing in front of her using his armored wings to block any incoming weapons.
"Michelle grab my hand and let's get out of here," The white haired wyvern rider said extending his hand to the archer. She was right they had to leave now or things would get really out of hand.

Michelle looked up as the wyvern, the knight and the other man started rising into the air. The knight had extended his hand for Michelle to catch on to as well. Taking a quick glance at the chaos, Michelle adeptly slung her bow over her shoulders and jumped, her hand reaching out for the knight's hand...
A searing red pain erupted from Michelle's leg, as an arrow finally found it's mark and lodged itself right into her calf. In mid-jump, Michelle lost her composure and missed the knight's hand, falling and landing on her other leg. The pain was spreading itself, slowly numbing her body, drawing all of her attention and concentration. That was not all, the blanket of raining falling over the stronghold that had hidden them from view earlier was now against them. Michelle's wound stung with each drop of rain, causing waves of pain to spread from her leg.
Michelle looked up at the wyvern flying higher into the sky and hoped that the knight had seen what had happened and would come back to help her.

OOC: Time to get out of that fortress.
"Vyer hurry go back down!" Ether shouted his voice sounding panicked. As the wyvern hovered a few inches above the ground Ether quickly jumped off Vyer and lifted Michelle in his arms. He dropped to one knee as an arrow piecered his shoulder, normally his armor probably would have held up against an arrow but he was wearing the cheap bandit armor.
The wyvern rider then placed Michelle carefully on Vyer and the hopped on himself dodging a few arrows. He noticed how some bandit riders were coming their way and how they needed to get out of there fast.
"Vyer go! Fast as fast as you can!" He commanded his wyvern as he whipped Vyer's reigns. The wyvern then took off as fast as he could. They were out running the other riders behind them but Ether had to think of something fast. He then steered them low into a forest using the trees as cover. Ether looked up to see that a few wyvern riders had left but some were still following.
They flew for a few hours in the cover of the trees and the darkness of night before Ether had stopped Vyer in a opening near a cave. As he stepped off his wyvern he looked up to the raining sky to see that no one was following them anymore Vyer's speed and color had saved the day.
"Hey you three let's take shelter in this cave," Ether said as he picked Michelle up off Vyer and headed toward the cave hoping that Virgil would follow.

Flying on the wyvern brought new waves of pain from her leg. The cold night air, along with the sheet of rain falling from the sky caused her wound to sting. Fresh pangs of pain spread out from her wound every few moments. Everytime Michelle thought she would just lose consciousness and become oblivious to the pain, she would jolt awake and feel the pain, renewed, as though she had just been wounded again.
The wyvern had then flown into a cave and the knight had gently placed Michelle on the ground. Michelle was slightly grateful for the shelter, for it meant a brief reprieve from the night sky with it's cold winds and heavy rain that seemed to refresh the waves of pain coming from her wound. Even now, as Michelle lay on the floor of the cave, she could feel her wound still bleeding, the precious fluid of life slowly dripping out of her body from the small hole in her leg.
"E-Ether... my leg... you have... to...", was all Michelle could manage in her weakened state.

"Damnit!" Ether shouted as he slammed his arm up against the wall of the cave. "Why did this have to happen!" He roared as he slammed his arm against the cave all again his back turned against Michelle.
He looked back and down to her face he could see that she was in intense pain and Ether had to do something fast. Ether then walked up to Michelle ripped off a piece of his clothing and then tied it around the area the arrow had hit her and tied it tight.
"Listen what I'm going to have to do is take you to that town that we were in before and get you immediate medical attention," Ether said picking Michelle up carefully and then quickly ran to Vyer.
"Let's go buddy and hurry!" Ether commanded as he placed Michelle onto the wyvern's back and then they took off. It didn't take long for Ether to find it the town wasn't a great distance away from the fortress and Vyer was the fast wyvern around so it wasn't that long before they made it there.
"Please take care of her there's something I need to take care of," Ether said as he had carried Michelle into the Inn where they were staying before into her room with a doctor present.
He had to let Bern officials know of the Illians that they had encountered. As he got on Vyer he couldn't help but think he had left something in that cave but oh well he had more important matters to deal with.
(OOC: This is Ether leaving the thread to go take care of some business)

OoC: You left Virgil behind, lol. I assume you'll be coming back to Michelle later on?
BiC: Michelle awoke with a start. She was lying on a rather hard bed, the mattress was probably made of some low quality material that had long since lost its softness. She looked down at her body. Her right leg was bandaged, very crude but effective.
Michelle tried to remember how she had gotten on the bed. At the cave, the knight had carried Michelle onto his wyvern and flown off into the night air again. He had said... that he would bring her to the town they were stationed in before the raid on the stronghold. Michelle must have lost consciousness during the flight, for she had no more recollection of what happened after that.
Michelle looked around the room. It was quite small. There were several shelves filled with herbs and medicinal equipment. Michelle guessed that she must be in the physician's room. There was no one else in the room and Michelle guessed that she must be the only patient at the time.

When no one had entered the room after a short amount of tine, Michelle repositioned herself and got ready to stand up. So far so good, her leg hadn't burned with pain as it had the night before. The physician's skills were good. Michelle readied herself, then stepped on the ground, first with her left, then with her right... The pain came immediately. It was not a searing hot pain, more of the annoying throbbing type of pain, but it was enough for Michelle to retreat her leg reflexively. So... she could not walk without much help or support yet. Where was that physician anyway? Physicians normally wouldn't just leave their patients alone this way. Especially not one with a difficulty getting around at all. OoC: After this post, Michelle is now On the run while being injured. PS: This means she's in a new thread.
