With the order from Marle issued to move out, she simply handed the bag she delivering to a passing soldier and simply told him who to give it to. The soldier was caught so off guard by her command that he quickly went off. It worked out for her, now she could easily draw her sword without the concern of a bag in the way. Now for the green haired girl...
Ah ha! So the merc was up to something! Aleth felt quite a bit smarter that she could tell that something was up. It was fine with her though, whatever she wanted it'll have to wait like she said but her curiosity couldn't help but gnaw at her.
"You could still tell me whats on your mind, I don't have a particular place to go and I don't mind walking with you," she said, resting her arm on her blade due to habit. It was a good armrest nonetheless and helped ease her overused muscle.

OoC: I'm unsure if we stil have a wagon to put the armor plates on. Lol.
BiC:
Garnet laughed as Caelica picked up his little description. The ragtag mercenaries. Well, not all of them looked overly ragtag yet, but they would probably all look pretty beat up before long. Especially Marle, having to struggle with that heavy armor all the time.
"The weight of the world, hmm?" He nodded his head at the thought. Heavy armor. It was heavy by definition. "Not so much, I hope. Wouldn't want it to slow you down too much, Captain."
Garnet glanced over the army gathering up in front of them, as he toted the plates along. It was a bit of an awkward load, but not unbearably heavy hor him.
"Looks like everyone is present and accounted for, Marle. The west really seems to be calling you." He started moving forward, thinking of the best place to dump the plate he was carrying.

"No really, its nothing that important." Caelica said, waving Aleth off. She couldn't tell if she was just over thinking things, but Caelica wondered if she had raised suspicions within Aleth, and now the mercenary was looking at her oddly because of it.
"I was just intending to have a nice, friendly conversation."
Caelica talked while walking backwards, slowly inching farther and farther away from Aleth, to make the scene less awkward than it already was. Only guided by sound to where she was walking, she suddenly bumped into something hard...and metallic. She stopped, and turned to see that she had bumped into a large mercenary. He then came to a halt also, and returned Caelica's stare with one of disgust, with a grunt for whatever reason. Caelica quickly scurried through the others until she found Aleth again, matching the speed the mercenary was walking.
"I...Think I'll stay back here with you."

Aleth didn't want to pry so she let the poor girl go along her way. While Caelica wasn't following she was approached by the other soldiers hired here. It was surprising how easily she seemed to get along with the others. She was hardly the most sociable person out there but when it came to getting know other soldiers she was good to say the least. It helped when one worked beside them and shared similar experiences.
"Hey Milieu be careful with that injury of yours," she said, while passing by. Caelica was soon walking beside her again.
"Sure, it is always nice to ha- Watch it Baren! You don't want to end up dropping that on your foot!" she called out to a rather large man from the group. He replied with a cheerful upstart grin and a shrug. They had to hurry and get moving after all.
"We could always chat about something else," she said, taking her attention fully back to Caelica.

There were three carts with Marle and her group, and Marle signaled to Garnet for where the plates could go. She could see the physical strain on the mercenary, and wondered if he really was all that strong, but it was easier to bear something by wearing it, than carrying it of course. Her level green eyes wandered over all who were gathered, and nodded. It was true, everyone seemed to be here, and everything was in order to move.
"Yes...it seems so...that's what worries me most..."
Marle sighed as she patted some of the men who were close by on the shoulders, and walked infront of them, unsheathing her sword, and raising the heavy looking somewhat long one handed sword.
"Come, we go west once more, we have a few days travel, and we'll follow the river Let us make way."
It was short and sweet, Marle didn't have much to say other than that, nothing needed to be said at all.

Selibas quickly went to a set of stables to fetch Lightning. He had left him there over night because Lightning wasn't used to other horses. Selibas had to sleep in a bed, so did Lightning. He gave the stable boy a small coin, then made his way back toward the army, leading lightning. He mounted when he got there, this was clearly an infantry unit, but he was a common sellsword to them. He was here at least. In southern Sacae, he was a wolf who could lead his pack. Time to see if he could follow orders well.

Garnet set the plate down. How that would work in battle, he didn't even want to guess. The Captain would need to build up more stamina, or be nothing more than a nuisance which needed protecting while wearing it.
Well, Marle," if you say west, I say how far.... And would you like a side of beef with that." Garnet grinned at his comment, and moved to join up with the rest of the army. They were headed west. Along a river.... That would give them plenty of water, and easier passage... But d**n. Water made everything colder.
They'd all started heading out of town now, the sun at their backs. Not far away in the cluster of marching soldiers, he saw Aleth and Caelica moving along with the group. The red-headed swordsman angled himself over to join them as they walked. Aleth, he knew had worked some jobs before, from her story. Caelica seemed a bit young to have seen much action though.
"Well, we're off. I always feel better leaving after a good night's sleep, and a warm breakfast, but something in me wants to drive on, for now. I'm glad we're moving again. How about you two ladies?"
He stretched his arms over his head, as he spoke, basking in the sun of the morning sky. It was a pleasant day so far, as they moved on. At least compared with some of the time he'd weathered so far.

"Ah alright, you have anything you want to talk about?" Caelica said to Aleth as the whole group began to mobalize. Caelica slowed her pace, and the mass of soldiers began to thin out as a majority of them passed, soon leaving her and Aleth near the back of the group. Thus, she could easily see Garnet and his red hair coming toward them.
She shrugged as Garnet began to talk. "Well, it was getting rather boring here." Caelica looked over her shoulder at the town gates which began to shrink as they walked farther and farther away.
"But, demon dogs don't sound too fun either." Caelica sighed. She had been in fights before, but never in one that involved monsters. Despite her protests, a sudden curiosity made her want to encouter one--or even a whole pack.
"So, how about you, Aleth?"

"Demon dogs actually sound better then the walking dead," Aleth stated remembering the trouble she had with those sort of creatures back in, Ostia as she recalled. The dead walked more slowly than a demon dog would. She barely noticed that Garnet had joined the little group of theirs. The more the merrier and her parents would state that there was more meat shields. She didn't think of them as security though, those thoughts were beyond her.
"No use complaining though, I'm already in this mess," she stated rolling her eyes in a positive way. She had gone through her own horrors and such things were definitely what one needed to get used to.

He grinned a bit, and shook his head as he listened to Caelica's complaint of the boringness of the town. Such was the complaint of those who craved adventure. Garnet still felt the tug himself, at times, but less than in his past. Now, however, he had, or hoped he had, found a home with this troop. Then things turned to darker matters. Monters and hell hounds.
"With this sort of talk, it doesn't take long to get a man in a bad mood. Such evils are best avoided, but I'll share what happened at the town we came from, if you'd like." A bit of a grimace made its way onto his face as he spoke. He'd not been troubled by the nightmares last night, but his memories of the monsters still weren't pleasant. Still, it could be useful to swap stories, even if it was unpleasant.

"Walking dead? Monsters?" Caelica frowned as the thought of monsters and zombies joined the demon dogs in her mind. Countless scenarios played out, each one having different outcomes, but each one appearing rather interesting to her. She looked to Garnet and Aleth, who were also thinking about the topic.
"Well, alright Garnet, I'm up for a story." She suddenly shrugged, noting the look on Garnet's face. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to though." It would have been rather cruel to force Garnet to tell her just to satisfy her interests.

Garnet sighed to himself, glancing down for a moment as he built up the gumption to tell some of the tale.
"No. I'll tell you. Knowing some of this may help save your life if we ever run into any of these creatures.... Elimine forbid we do."
He reached back, slipping his arms behind his shield, and knuckling his back as he stretched.
"I'll spare the details, but the village was dead, when we arrived. I don't know what caused it, or why it happened, but these corpses began walking. Crawling. There were enough there to overwhelm the numbers of the army. We're just lucky we were able to rally up with the rest. The things had an unnatural strength, and claws like knives, if you weren't careful. The best way to combat them was fire, but we had no fire mages with us. They burned like tinder wood, but most of the time it took a decapitation, or some other way of destroying their heads to stop them." Garnet closed his eyes for a moment, and shook his head, as if ridding himself of a foul memory.
"That, or you could hack them to pieces, if you had the time and energy. They weren't alone though. Doom wolves, I think they're called some places. The Doom wolves were constantly dashing in and out of the fray. Tough buggers with a nasty bite.... What I'd not seen or heard of before were the skeletons though. Most of them carried weapons of some kind, and again, they were far stronger than... Well, any skeleton I've ever seen." Garnet gave a grim smile, trying to make a joke out of it.
"They were also very light though. It was easy enough to knock them around, if you could manage it between their strikes, and rudimentary tactics. I hope I never see any of them again, that was my second encounter with Doom wolves...." Garnet brooded to himself a bit. Meeting up with these things wasn't a joyful event. Even cutting them down was ridden with doubt, and evil. Every walking corpse he had cut down, had been a human being at one time. He was desecrating them. He didn't even know if there was a benefit to cutting them down anymore. Why did they rise in the first place?
"I just take comfort in knowing that they can be beaten."

OOC: Alrighty Feld, as you said, we shall finish this up.
Caelica shrugged. "I guess that's a plus. But that doesn't change the fact that they're undead...and sound annoying." Caelica gripped the sheathe of her sword and look at Garnet, then to Aleth. She took the sword out, the sound of it unsheathing strangely unfamiliar to her ears. She fumbled with the sword before sheathing it with a frown. "Geez, it's been a while since I've used this thing...Hopefully I don't get killed because I haven't been practicing."
"But enough about me, where is our lovely general?" Caelica said as she scanned the mass of soldiers in front of her.

Selibas sat on his horse. His uncomfortable sleep the night before caused him to doze off occaisonally. He was currently in one of those states. He was having another strange dream. He was a black wold, in a field of snow. Snow beat down on the wolf but it kept trudging. Every once in a while he would see a sword on the ground, bloody. The wolf continued despite the omens. He made hisway forward until it fell on a great battlefield. A collection of soldierswere fighting a mass of Wyverns. The soldiers looked at the wolf for help.
In the center of the conflict however, there was a battle going on in which noone dared to interfere. A Wyvern of great size and a Large Snow White Lion were fighting a Dragon. The wolf Selibas felt a strong need to fight on the sides of the Wyverns and the dragons, mainly due to hatred of the Lions ally.
Selibas snapped out of it. He moved Lightning closer to Garnet, Sadly he was with multiple attractive woman. Selibas struggled to say, "A-any idea w-w-whats going on? Whe-where we're going?"

Aleth shifted uncomfortably in her armor. For some reason she felt like something bad might happen. Then again she always had this feeling every moment she stayed in Illia. As far as she knew her parents' band could be around here... They usually work with the highest bidder and those usually lurk in the commercial centers but reputation was important as well. She was deep in thought, her hand rested against her chin and her eyes closed, trying to consider all the possibilities until Caelica and the green haired man interrupted her thoughts.
"Just getting ready to leave by the looks of it..." she replied to the green haired man. She planned on answering Caelica as well but before she could a heavy hand fell on her shoulder. It felt familiar...too familiar. She began to shake with both anticipation and fear...
"Haha look what we have here!" a gruff but unmistakable voice rang out... Even then she stayed at her spot, simply staring down onto the ground with a look mixed with horror and realization. Sometimes she hated her thoughts, it felt like the world love manifesting her nightmares. It has been awhile since she last visited her parents and even then it was hardly pleasant. The man was definitely in his middle ages, clean shaven with a short cut, hair a nice dirty blond. He wasn't all that muscular but carried his blade with ease and experience.
"You look just like your mother," her father stated, with a somewhat solemn voice. This surprised her enough to wonder if her mother was alright... There was no way that a strong woman like her could be dead... Right?
"Honey...who do you think you're killing off darling?" her mothers voice was strangely soothing but she knew it was a facade like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Her mother had taken the heavy hand on her shoulders and she could hear his father gripe in pain. That woman always had a grip... Her mother was more slender than her father but prefers to log around a huge axe instead of taking up sword fighting. Her hair was shorter than hers though, going a little over her shoulders but had the same tinge of whiteness. She looked angelic and her fighting style reflected as such even with such a crude weapon.
"Aleth! Oh my, you sure have matured!" a more elegant and feminine voice exclaimed with earnest surprise. This was the group's pegasus knight... The one that tied her up and let her dangle in the air. She was the reason for her fear of heights. The woman was as tall as ever with her dark eyes and brown hair. Her eyes were always sharp and her lance close by even without her steed.
"Anyways Aleth, how much you getting paid for the job?" her father asked. There was no way she was gonna state the truth! Right now she was forcing herself to stand her ground no matter how much her senses told her to make a run for it!
"A lot," she replied with an honest voice but her face could easily be told that she was lying. Thank goodness she wasn't facing them. In her panic she looked over at her team mates with the look of someone that had just been sentenced to death.
