"I suppose I understand...And then again...Maybe I don't..." Nera said as Asri wrapped her arm around her. She returned Asri's smirk, but with a subtle weariness--Nera was getting rather tired of Asri's sarcasm. Nera shifted uncomfortably under Asri, before slipping out from under the thief's arm. She began to circle around Asri, the ever present thought of suddenly being stabbed growing stronger in her mind.
"Pay us? As I said before, wouldn't it be fun just to blow his cover and get him arrested?" Nera stopped walking. "Or even kill him and take over his operations if we must." Nera looked to Asri, then held out her hand, suggesting that Asri take the lead. "But that's if we ever get that far. Could you lead the way? I have no idea where we're going, Ms..." She hissed on the s, making an attempt to get the thief's real name.

"After we get our money, that can be a good option. Otherwise, I won't let anyone lay a finger on him...unless someone gives me a better reward. Hey, at least we agree for one thing, he need to suffer." Asri still held grudge for him, his henchman who was sent to test her ability, his method to hire her, and his annoying smile, all of these were the reasons why she wanted to make sure he would get the best death ever.
Asri took the lead, it seemed Nera didn't know which mansion was used as the rebel's recruitment place. "He said it's somewhere in west district, right? I think I know, there is an old mansion that no one dare to approach in west district. People says it is haunted," she said while looking back at Nera. She still felt reluctant to walk side by side with her, although she started to like his girl. "Hahaha...What a fool...Ghost doesn't exist."
But when Asri started to like someone, which was very rare, she would treat him/her well. She then stopped and waited for Nera, she would walk next to the black-haired girl, at least until she had bad mood again. "I have many names. But like people calling me Scarlet, people gave me the nickname because of my hair. You can call me Asri if you want, though."
"And I am going to call you Nera unless you want me to call you by your nickname or something else."

"You took that offer of ruining 'Grey' quite quickly, even after the thought of getting your money...A pair of psychopaths...One possibly a sadist..." Nera took a step back. It was possible that Asri was one of those types that killed for fun, but then again, Grey seemed annoying even to herself.
Nera took another step back as Asri walked forward, then she saw her stop. Nera hesitated for a second before running up beside her. "Well then, Asri, I have no noteworthy traits so Nera is fine." Hearing Asri mention the general area of the mansion, Nera took the first steps. She slowed her pace a little however for the thief who had seemed to take a slight liking for her. "Ghosts? Well Asri, rebels will believe quite a bit...I wonder how they'll put up with a little scare..."

"I'll take that as a compliment...That's my rule, anyway. Kill people I hate," she said as she shrugged. Her rule was always simple, although no one could possibly accept that. Her rule came from her harsh life and some "wrong" friends, but it probably was the reason why she could survive until now. The thief didn't notice her hesitation to walk beside her and kept waiting. "And I think I could delay his death for some coins," she added, saying it as a joke. But...Is it really a joke?
"Alright, I'll call you Nera." Asri then started walking again and matched her pace with Nera. They walked side by side, something Asri hadn't done for a long time. Actually, it only needed Nera saying something wrong to make her leave the Novice behind. "That sounds fun, really. We can play a little ghost-game and scare them." Talking about the rebels, Asri remembered their mission, to infiltrate and get some information. That also meant she and Nera had to pass the recruitment test, if any, and became one of them.
"Hey, Nera. We are going to work together so I want to ask you something. Tell me a little about your ability." Asri always believed in her own skill and looked down at the others, even now she was asking Nera because the thief didn't want her to be a burden for her.

Nera pondered Asri's question. What could she contribute to a spying mission? After all, she was usually the one ordering others to gather information for her. Nera kept walking, but put her hand over her mouth in a way that suggested deep thought. After a minute or two, she turned her head to Asri. "If you need a plan, a plan for anything really...Go ahead and hesitate to ask me, but ask if you really need to."
Nera looked forward just in time to see she was about to bump into an old woman. She spun around the woman while continuing to move forward, then moved her eyes to look to her side at Asri. "Well, I know I can count on you for fighting if the need ever arises..." Nera said as she brushed the handle of her little used knife. "But I'll ask you the same question, tell me a little about your ability."

Asri frowned, Nera wanted her to follow her plan and handle the fighting. Oh great, she would give the Novice a headbutt if she was close enough. But she then thought about it, maybe this was what a teamwork meant. "Hmmm...I am very confident with my planning but let we see how far you can make me to follow your plan," she remarked. Of course she would do the work with her own way, but an extra brain didn't sound too bad. When Nera spun around the old woman, Asri watched her doing so and got a smile in her lips. "At least you are nimble and agile. Good...I don't need to to worry being caught because of you slowing us..." The thief liked people who could use their speed and hate people who relied heavily on their big muscle.
"Let see...My ability..." Honestly, she didn't expected she would have to answer the same question. It annoyed her a little. Well, it was because Grey also gave her a small "try out" before signing her into the mission, she couldn't forgive him for that. She needed to do something big soon if people started to doubt her ability like this. "I am adept in opening lock and sneaking is my main speciality. Also, I know how to defend myself from bad guys." In her case, the bad guys was guards, soldiers, and night patrols. "Leave those difficult jobs for me. You should focus on gathering information. I bet those rebels will open up easily to you, if you know how to make them speak," she said.

OOC: Mana...How are we going to get inside? xD
"Oh don't worry...I'll remember to keep your best interests in mind while planning." Nera said, glancing at the bag hanging from Asri's hip. She made sure not to make it obvious, as she was currently on Asri's good side, and the red haired thief seemed rather protective of the gem inside the bag. An expensive looking gem, skills in lockpicking and sneaking around. Money must be her love,[/i] Nera concluded.
"A thief and spy..." Nera stopped. A silhouette of a large building lay infront of her, the dim morning light not yet lighting up its front. She casually walked around the perimiter, getting a closer look at the mansion's features. It was definitely old, and the bugs and plants crawling over it showed that it had not been occupied for a while. At least, that was what the guise was. "Yes, your best interests...This might appear to be a home to ghosts, but a rebel army must keep their funds somewhere..." Nera made sure to stress the possibility of money inside the mansion.

OoC : We will discuss it IC^^
"Funds..." Asri muttered to herself, Nera just mentioned her favorite topic. Maybe this job was even more profitable than it seemed. She would get her payment after this mission, and there was a good chance to get more money. There must be something worth a lot of money inside, maybe she would even get some bonus if she found the location of that man, who was rumored as the leader of rebellion.
She would be neutral if money wasn't involved. The patriotic story of the rebel fighting for Bern independence was nothing important for her and Ilia's concern for their citizens that led them to take the resources they needed from Bern was not something worth to remember.
The mansion was well protected by its fairly tall wall. The only way to get inside, if you weren't the type who like to climb the wall, was the front gate which was guarded by two bulky men. "They choose a good place to recruit new faces. The locals would get suspicious if many people gather in a place like this," she remarked sarcastically as she studied the surrounding. "Anyway, lets find our way in before they start the party..." Asri gestured to the front gate. "...we still have approximately a half hour," she added
"Do you think we can just use the front gate as our grand entrance?" she asked. Of course she wasn't serious. Those rebels probably had some sort of password to prevent spies. She looked at the two bulky men, they would probably ask for the password if someone tried to enter from front gate.

OOC: Alrighty, I hope this is a valid way of getting in...If not I'll change it xD
"Naturally we will be entering from the front gate...If you'll just give me a moment..." Nera said as she started to run around the street, looking around innocently. After a while of looking, she spotted a small man walking towards the mansion, his face telling her that he intended to enter. Continuing to run around the street, Nera purposely bumped into the man, and they both fell. Despite his size, the man was quite sturdy, and Nera didn't have to pretend to fall.
The man looked at her disgusted, but asked, "Are you ok?" He extended his hand.
Nera didn't take the man's hand, instead pushing herself up from the ground rather slowly--she wasn't exaggerating too much, as she had hit the floor quite hard when she bumped into the man. She looked up at the man with a grin on her face. "Yes I am, thank you for asking. But let me ask, are your possessions ok?" She quickly flew past the man, grabbing his pack that he had set down when he stopped to help her.
"My stuff! Too many thieves...Get back here!" The man yelled, running after Nera. He had a rather large assortment of things in his pack, all to give to the rebel cause. However the man still had his axe with him, and he placed his hand on it, ready to strike Nera down once he caught her.
Nera's eyes darted around, looking for where she had left Asri. She rounded a corner, and upon seeing a flash of scarlet, with a smile she whispered, "Please prepare the man following me for interrogation." She put her hand on her knife just in case, and ran into an alley, peering out to see what would happen next.

"Hey...Wait!" Asri stretched her hand to catch Nera but she was late, the Novice had ran out to the street and started doing whatever she was planning to do. The crimson-haired thief grumbled under her breath and moved toward a wall to lean on. This could be a good chance, she would be able to judge how smart Nera was. After a few boring minutes, Asri saw Nera coming toward her, and it seemed she just found a new friend for both of them. The thief stood with a confused face, she didn't understand what Nera was trying to do.
"Please prepare the man following me for interrogation."
Asri understood now, this man was also the guest who came to attend the party, another Bernese people who was patriotic enough to join the rebel. Asri, however, didn't like the fact that Nera left her to "prepare" this man without consulting to her first. "She want me to do the hard work? Let see how she will explain this later..." Asri looked around to check if a guard was nearby. "No one? What a lucky day..."
Asri waited until the man was near her, she then quickly ducked and tripped the man, causing him to fall to the ground. His face hit the ground hard, Asri used this chance to get up quicikly and put her sword near his neck. "Don't move, sweetie." she said with a seducing tone.

OOC: Looks like I got my laptop earlier than usual...Well, here it goes xD
Nera had pushed herself up against the wall as soon as Asri had initiated the man. She turned out from behind the wall upon hearing a thud, confident that Asri had taken the man down. Before running to meet Asri, Nera grabbed the pack that she had stolen from the man. "Nicely done, Asri." Nera said to the thief. She held the man's woolen pack up, then brought her knife across it's bottom. The contents fell with little sound in front of the man's face.
The man opened his mouth to yell, but no sound came out. He felt his tounge being pushed back into his mouth, by some sort of cloth. Then a tightening on his wrists followed, and the man looked back to see Nera tying his wrists together with the rope from his pack.
"You are quite the noisy one..." Nera saw the man squirm. "And I suggest you don't move like Ms.Scarlet hair said...Now, I'm going to ask for some information, I only want answers, no screaming you hear?" Nera said, yanking the gag out of the man's mouth. "Now how do we get inside your little meeting?"
"Why should I tell you? You two are probably sent by the Ilians weren't you?" The man literally spat, not in disgust, but to get the fibers out of him mouth.
"I can't say for sure that we were sent by them, but why would the Ilians hire the two of us, of all people?" Nera crouched next to the man, putting her blade on his cheek opposite Asri's blade. "I suggest you answer though, because..." Nera pulled her arm down a little, and a little blood appeared on the tip of her blade. The man winced. "My my, looks like my hand slipped." Nera grinned. "Maybe I'll just hand you over to Ms.Scarlet. She's less careless than I am at these sorts of things..."
"Ok! Ok! I'll tell you, you psychopath! Just leave me alone! Both of you!" The man signaled with his eyes at a pendant lying in the middle of all his other stuff. "That pendant, we don't have a password, just show that to the guards and they'll let you in!"
Nera took the rock she had grabbed earlier out of her pocket, then hit the man on the head with it. The first hit didn't seem to knock him out, so she hit him again. She put the cloth back in the man's mouth, then tied him up even more with what rope she had left. A barrel was nearby, and luckily the man was small enough for her to stuff his unconcious body inside. "There's only one pendant, and it would look awfully wierd if we both used that single pendant to enter...One of us has to enter and help the other sneak in."

"Oh, I am a very careful person," she murmured followed with a small chuckle. She wouldn't mind to take over the interogation, but Nera seemed to know what she was doing, her word and tactic to make the man say the information they need were good. Although, if she should protest, Nera's method was too soft for her taste. Only making a small scratch on his cheek? Asri would have broken one or two fingers if she was Nera. "So? Do you want me, Sweetie?" she added, asking a scary question with a happy face.
Asri was about to return her sword into its sheath when she saw Nera throwing the man into barrel. She didn't understand why Nera only made him unconscious. If he woke up and managed to alert the guards about two Ilian spies, they would be doomed. No matter how confidence she was with her ability, Asri knew that being trapped in a mansion full with Bernese fanatics was very dangerous.
"Huh...I will do it." Asri snatched the pendant, smirking. The thief wouldn't let herself be the one who was left outside. How could she believe that Nera would help her get inside? She never believed anyone, just herself. "But before that..." Asri raised her skirt, revealing three knives that strapped around her right thigh. She drew one knife out of the scabbard and then gave one knife to Nera. "Take this and kill that man. It's smeared with snake's poison, don't ever try to touch the sharp part," she said as she handed the poisonous knife.
"Wait here..." The thief headed toward the gate, she didn't even flinch when the guards glanced at her. "Can I pass?" Asri showed the pendant on her hand, still keeping her poker face. She felt a bit nervous while waiting for the response but that wasn't shown in her face. "Get in. A new face it seems. Let work together for our kingdom." The two guard bowed their heads as Asri entered the gate confidently.
"Phew...I was afraid for a second." she thought. Now she had to find a way to get Nera inside or...she could just leave the Novice outside and do the mission alone.

"I suppose 'do your best' is the best way to send you off in this situation..." Nera mumbled as she took the knife from Asri and watched the thief enter the house. She didn't feel like anything would go wrong, so she looked away as soon as Asri entered the view of the guards. Nera looked down at her hands, and began to play around with the knife. She jumped backwards when she accidentaly dropped the knife, not wanting to get the snake poison in her bloodstream.
Nera picked up the knife cautiously with two of her fingers, holding it like some disgusting object in front of her face. Rather, it was an interesting object to her, and she took a cloth from her pocket and wiped one side of the blade, wanting to examine the poison later. "Now, shall we test its effects first hand...?" Nera said, walking to the barrel she had stuffed the man in, then lifting its lid. She took the knife Asri had handed her and stabbed it into the man's heart, taking it out only when the blood from the wound had washed over the knife, and when she was sure the poison was in the man's blood stream.
The man's face turned white, and she could hear what little breaths he was taking get smaller and smaller. Finally, when all movement ceased, Nera gently placed the knife on the dead man and closed the lid of the barrel. She walked out onto the street, proping herself on a wall out of the sight of the guards, but in such a place that she would notice if Asri was signaling to her.

Asri walked in the garden and looked around, she saw some other "recruits" there. She also noticed that everyone had the pendant, one for each person. Did this pendant work like some sort of identity card? The thief then found a shady tree to rest while thinking. "Okay. It doesn't seem easy to get inside without some trick or this pendant. I could just let Nera find another pendant but the chance of another fool coming toward her is pretty slim. And it will only work if she can steal the pendant or kill the man." The idea to leave Nera behind started to tempt her, that was a good choice too. One, she could get better reward. Two, she could move more freely.
The thief saw three men walking toward her direction, she then got an idea. Maybe it wasn't a briliant one but the plan would work with some luck. Asri positioned herself near a fat man who had been chatting with his friends near her as she waited for the other group to come closer. "Help me, pig belly..." Luckily, both groups didn't pay attention to their surrounding which helped Asri to complete her plan. When the other group finally passed in front of her, the thief started her tactic. Quietly extending her legs in front of one of them, the thief caused a funny scene of one person getting tripped and bumping the others, causing the whole group fall down and making a domino effect with the fat man's group. Even Asri herself couldn't help but laugh when she watched the fat man fell on his poor friends. "Oouch! He must be heavy!" she thought while holding her laughter. But she didn't have time for this, she needed to disappear to make this plan working as she planned, before those men could realize what really happened.
First, she walked backward in a steady pace, passing through the crowds who came to see the human-sandwich and blending herself with them. Second, when she felt she had already been far enough, the thief ran quickly praying her plan would work...Wait? Asri never prayed.
As she expected, she could hear people shouting and the start of a small fight as she ran, she didn't even need to look back. From the first glance, she already knew that the majority of these people was mercenaries. These kind of people usually didn't blend well with foreigners, they would get involved easily in bar fights. That was what she started, a fight, and it directed the guards' attention toward the brawl in the garden. "The gate defence must be thinned by now." She went to check with a grin in her face. "Heh...Time for the main actress to show up."
----------
The guard yawned, he was bored. His friend went to check the commotion, leaving him alone with this boring watch. And even the other guards who patrolled near the gate left too, it seemed the fight was big enough. He was stuck here, his duty was to check anyone who wanted to go inside throught the front gate. It was boring, checking pendants was not thrilling at all.
"He-Help..." The guard swore that he just heard a weak groan. "It's not a ghost, isn't it?" He reluctantly turned. "What? Miss? What happened to you?" He didn't expect this, he saw a woman leaning against a tree not far from his post. As he approached her, he began to notice that the woman was breathing heavily. "Hey hey...Are you alright?" He asked softly as he kneeled near the woman. The guard was reluctant to leave his post empty, but this woman needed help.
"My...my chest is hurt..." Asri whispered near the guard's ear, panting between her words. She then gripped the guard's palm. "Don't leave me. I am scared..." The guard blushed when he felt her soft fingers around his sturdy hand. He sighed then put his spear on the ground and said, "Alright...Just tell me what I have to do to ease your pain." The man tried to comfort, not knowing that he was being tricked.

Nera looked up at the sound of some yelling coming from inside the grounds of the mansion. People walking around her did not stop, instead just glancing over at the mansion walls, wondering if some thugs had decided to use the area as their fighting grounds for the day. As soon as Nera saw the guard dissapear from the entrance, she snuck around the deserted side of the house, using the sound of the brawl as a guide.
At the scene of the brawl, Nera insterted herself inside the crowd. "Quite the commotion you've caused here..." She frowned, annoyed, as she pushed to the center of the crowd. Random people surrounded her, pushing Nera around without them noticing. Finally she emerged in the center, startled as she began flying to the floor when someone behind had shoved her. She looked back, wanting to get a look at the person who had pushed her, but was startled again when a large person landed face first in front of her. She examined the scene, not being able to hold back a laugh when she saw a fat man trip a much younger, and smaller man. "That will teach you to try to trip me!" The fat man yelled, then being tripped in return. "Oh my, it must have been ten times funnier to have started this!" Nera laughed even harder at this, but remembered what she had come to get. Between fits of laughter, Nera attempted to grab a pendant from a random stranger that was lying on the ground, putting it around her neck once she got a hold of one. However, she stopped immediately when she realized that she had to go through the crowd again.
Once out, she quickly looked around for any sign of Asri. She spotted the thief under a tree, in the arms of a guard. A smile came to her face again. "What kind of scene do I have playing out before me...? You two are quite the hasty ones." Nera announced as she walked up behind the pair. "But this is not what we are here to do, is it?"
