Elesia was now on Sol's back, he didn't have to worry about protecting her from the foul smelling creature. He flared his wings out with a hiss turned into a growl. Saliva dripped from his fangs as he attempted to intimidate his foe. The monster kept shuffling towards the trio, Sol didn't understand he WAS the top of the food chain and this thing was unaffected by his threatening manor. He's fought bears over a meal and they're as big as land things came, the most he's had to do was show off his fangs and spread his wings and it would boil down to that, well other than the few times he got a good two talons and a bite in before it retreated.
Hal turned back to Elesia as she mounted Sol "Do-Don't do any...thing st-upid, please." Hal felt Sol jerk a bit "Sol wants to fight... I think..." Hal knew nothing other than how freakin awesome wyverns were. Hal turned to look forward as Sol gave a fast trout towards the zombie and bite down on it's shoulder. Apparently the zombie had the same idea and it lunged it's head toward's Sol's neck as his teeth pierced the zombie's skin, a loud groan emitted from it's mouth as it's teeth chomped onto the hard, thick scales of the wyvern. With a quick, powerful jerk of Sol's head he let go of the creature sending it flying into a nearby wall, movement out of the corner of his eye and Sol used the momentum from the throw to shift his whole body slamming his tail in the moving object.
The woman had been bleeding badly, it seemed half of her face was hanging off, she saw the monster had changed it's focus on the lizard she thought she could get away. She barely got to her knees when a red tree limb like appendage came flying towards her face, a sicking cracking sound came from her neck as her head jerked in the same direction as the tail, her body did a small twist as it fell to the ground. Friend? Foe? No such thing, if it moved it posed as a threat or it may become one... Well, not the two on his back, they were Sol's friends. Hal was worried, is this how Sol would act in each fight? Why did he attack that defenseless woman like that? And most importantly, would Elesia get caught in the crossfire when Sol went on the attack? Hal had no time to worry about that or how he would train Sol how to fight along side others, that damn thing was getting back to it's feet. Looks like round 2 is about to start.

"I'm not stupid, the dead thing isOHGODWHAT." Blissfully unaware of her sacrilege, Elesia's tenuous response to her companion was cut short by the sudden need to clamp down on Sol's serpentine form with the force of a mother bear as he exploded into action without any apparent warning. Or maybe she just hadn't been paying attention - she pondered that for a moment with perfect clarity before returning to bordering on panic as the world continued to spin around her, Sol an unstoppable engine of destruction. Of very mobile destruction.
By the time he finished killing everything, she had had quite enough. Elesia's grip dissipated as quickly as her attitude, leading to an immediate, graceless drop into a lumpy heap on the ground. It had been some time since the glorious taste of barf had boiled up in her throat like that! Not that it was actually glorious. That had been sarcasm. For her own benefit.
Convinced that she had convinced herself, Elesia settled for lying there for a few moments as everything continued to go topsy-turvy, eventually mumbling something with all the coherence of - well, normal Elesia. "Stop the world, please, I'd like to get off." And her butt hurt. Again. After wallowing in her own misery for a few moments, she carefully assessed the situation in a detached manner; apparently holding on to a wyvern's neck in combat situations was a really stupid idea.
...Or maybe she had just done it wrong. Elesia sat up with a sudden burst of energy, ignoring the crack in her back as she remembered that her butt still hurt. The sudden movement disoriented her further, and she let herself fall back to the ground, on her side this time - just in time to notice the very, very dead woman. "Haaaaal I thought we were supposed to save her. Or are we not doing that anymore?" Elesia didn't think that she would make a particularly good bad guy - she needed to have more black clothes and laugh a lot more to really do it well, but maybe Hal would be willing to help make her the best bad guy ever.
Oh, and the zombie was there too. Cool. Gracing the gradually approaching aberration with a thousand-watt smile, Elesia piped up in dreamy tones, her mind still a little slow to catch on to the situation. "You're not having a very good day either, are you? It's okay. You can lie down too and we can be dizzy together. Hal is really nice, maybe we can make him come too!"

Elesia had fallen off Sol, crap this could be bad. Would she end up like the lifeless corpse they were attempting to help? Hal was barely able to keep a tame horse under control let alone a wild wyvern, what posed him to ever think he could tell this beast what to do? To make matters worse Elesia had started to act like one of the lady escorts at closing time in a tavern, did that fall knock a screw or twelve lose?
The ghoul started shuffling back towards them "We are, or were but it seems Sol has his own pla-aaaaaaaaaaaan!" Sol had started charging the monster unexpectantly causing Hal to lean back in the saddle. Upon reaching striking range Hal shot forward thrusting his lance into the creature's chest, Sol didn't stop his charge till it was pinned to the wall snapping at it. The creature was flailing it's claws towards the winged monster, Sol had been snapping his powerful jaws trying to get a bite or two in while attempting to dodge swings, Sol had become careless in the assault. With a screech he jumped back pushed with his wings flying back to where their charge began next to Elesia.
Surprisingly to Hal he didn't lose the lance in the retreat AND he was able to stay mounted this time, the memory of his first mounted combat flashed back into his mind. He leaned forward and started to pet Sol "It's okay boy, we'll get him back... Hopefully" Hal turned his gaze to Elesia with a look of concern. "Are you okay down there? I hope you didn't get hurt falling off of Sol."

Maaaaaaan Sol was cool.
Elesia's head lolled to the side a touch as she silently willed it to stop goddamn hurting watching the wyvern berserk with something between a pained smile and a self-satisfied grin. Obviously she had taught him well; he was almost as cool as a war bear. Rather than saying as much, she settled for exhaling shakily, suddenly remembering that there had only been one of the bad guys this time. Her words were slightly less excited when she got around to speaking in the wake of Sol's admirable display of violence. "Um. I'm fine, but - last time there wasn't just one of the walking dead guys, and, uh, if the whole town is pretty empty... I think there might be some more of them. Maybe a lot more."
Well that was just fantastic. The momentary excitement blew out of her instantly as Elesia remembered exactly how well that last fight had gone. They didn't even have grateful villagers around to save their unconscious butts this time, either.
-But if she had survived the forest for her entire life, then a couple of dumb dead guys sure as hell weren't going to take her down! Elesia pulled herself upright, dusting herself off as best she could, glad that nothing had ripped her dress in half or something sucky like that. "...Which is going to be awesome training for us on our way to being the coolest duo of all ever. Um. Threeo. 'Cuz, you know, Sol." She grinned at him winningly, or perhaps like a toothy vagrant. Was threeo a word? She pondered the subject of what one called a duo with three members for a moment, then shrugged, sniffing her nose in an attempt to clear it from all the horrible smells that always permeated human settlements.
"...I think we should see if there really were others, and if there are more of, um, those guys."

Oh god! Elesia had to say something about last time, there was more. Between being worried about if he'd be able to control Sol, Elesia falling off of him, and being excited about his first mounted assault going flawless he had forgot to think about the facts Elesia stated. His nerves weren't as jittery as before but he was was still scared, the last attack helped calm him a bit knowing he's safer with Sol though. "Ma....Maybe the on...ones from a few days ago were from here... Then this one didn't follow?"
Sol started to back up and turned keeping the one he was fighting and the ally in his sight. Hal could hear it now, more groans and shuffling feet. It had sounded as if a few still had wore shoes while some didn't, were they drawn here by the sounds of a battle or the smell of blood the now lifeless woman laid in. They came into sight now, 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8... Then add in the one they were fighting already and that makes 9, oh great why can't anything just go easy for Hal? Their numbers could easily swarm either of the two alone but how could they separate them?
It was just the three of them, he couldn't rely on anybody else to distract them and he had to protect Elesia at all cost. It was time to nut up or shut up Hal! "Worry about the one Sol and I was fighting, I got them." Only if Hal was as confident as he sounded. He quickly yanked upwards on the reigns letting Sol know to take flight, Sol took off towards the group of zombies. Hal leaned over thrusting his lance into the shoulder of one as they sped by, with arms stretched upwards reaching for the boy and his lizard most of them began to run after them. This area wasn't exactly that large and Hal still was new to this flying thing so he wasn't sure how this would turn out.
Hal had almost fallen off of Sol as he made a very hard and sloppy bank. Now the two was flying towards the group again, CRAP! Not all of them were there, a few stumbled towards Elesia. "ELESIA BEHIND YOU!" Hal was too focused on Elesia to attempt another attack, Sol on the other hand drug his talons across the the face of another taking it to the ground. It was almost trampled as it attempted to get up to keep up the pursuit.

Abel walked through the eerie silence. What is with this place? he thought. I got a bad feeling about this. He began to hear voices. Hmmm..... that might be good.
Walking forward cautiously, Abel took in his surroundings. This place is kinda creepy. I don't think I'll find a blacksmith here. Wait.... what's that moaning sound? And is that a wyvern? The fog cleared a bit, and the town seemed to appear. And farther in there were people.
Abel ran to get closer, and as he got closer the people became clearer. He stopped. A wyvern and it's rider, a....mage by look of it, and- what are they?! They look dead yet they move!
"ELESIA BEHIND YOU!" the wyvern seemed to say.
Abel looked toward the mage, as he assumed it was who he was talking to. There were two things coming up behind her. Abel acted quickly. He ran at the two monster's, taking his sword from his back. Once he was close, he jumped, spinning his blade to aim it toward the ground, stabbing it through the back as he landed on it.
The monster started falling, and Abel began to slide his sword out of it. Once they hit the ground, he lashed out at the other, cutting it's legs out from under it. Wow, Abel thought as he stood up, it's been a while since I've fought. I didn't realize how much I'd missed it.
"Si-Mam," Abel corrected as he saw her,"Are you ok?"

"I got this!"
Spurred into activity by the possibility of wanton violence, Elesia recovered instantly, hopping to her feet with an ease that suggested she had not actually been at all injured. Even if her butt did still hurt, which it most assuredly did. "But you. Casually forgetting how horrible her condition at the end of the last battle had been, the forest waif focused on how awesome she had most assuredly been; she snarled the words at the zombie with enough ferocity to melt stone.
Unfortunately, he was not made out of stone, instead opting to start shuffling towards her. She took half a step back, surprised that he hadn't immediately caught on fire from the awesome she was emanating, then took a full step forwards to prove that she wasn't at all scared, pointing a finger at him. "You don't want any of this. I'm more tastier than you can... uh, handle!" She paused again, waiting for the creature to realize how hopelessly outmatched it was against such a superior opponent, but it did little moar than groan, its head still on at an odd angle from whatever Sol had done to it.
Okay, that was it. Elesia pulled at a strand of essence, and her entire arm burst into flame, myriad colors shifting into a brilliant greenish-gold as she felt the magic flow through her body, wild and untamed, bound only by her will. "Then take this! My love!" She didn't pause to consider what about the zombie was at all loveable - that seemed like someone else's problem, and it was definitely too dumb to understand. "My anger!" That was pretty much self explanatory, she figured; not even a dumb guy that dumb could possibly miss it. "-and SCREW YOU!"
That was about when she launched herself screaming at the zombie and rammed her hand down its throat.
She supposed that Sol had done an okay job at weakening the stupid dumb thing up, given that it immediately exploded, but that was clearly due primarily to her awesome attack.
-And then a dude wielding a sword came out of nowhere and started killing things.
Elesia stared blankly at the green-haired flesh thing for a few moments before realizing what had obviously just happened, forgetting to be embarassed that anyone had just seen her in favor of realizing that "OH CRAP THEY CAN USE STABBY THINGS NOW?" And talk! She panicked instantly, igniting and hurling another mass of flame, emerald this time, at the equally-green monstrosity. They were even trying to dress like her now!

Hal hadn't given Elesia enough credit, even in her spaced out state she proved she's something to be feared... even if these things don't understand fear. Before she could begin an assault of any sort or to retreat a swordsmen came in attacking the zombies. It had looked like he had started to talk to Elesia before she attacked.
Was he a friend? Or could he be a foe? Who the hell cares, girl attacked him so I will too. Sol sped up towards this new meat-bag, smelly meat-bags weren't important right now. As he flew past him he lashed his tree trunk like tail at the boy. Now the boy on back started yelling pulling on the things in his mouth. Why didn't Sol eat the man putting this stuff on him? It's soooooo annoying and they barely used it too.
Elesia had just attacked him? Okay, maybe she was more out of it than Hal had thought. Hal could feel Sol picking up speed and descending a little, as they flew past the swordsmen he noticed Sol taking a swing at him with his tail. Yanking up on the reigns Hal started to scream at Sol. Great, Hal already was having troubles controlling him again.
Sol had banked around, this time a lot smoother than last, charging the group once again. Grabbing one by the arm he then took to the skies, kinda. He could see the whole town from where he was, sucks to be this thing because he could fly like Sol could. Letting go it just fell to the ground, here's the fun part getting to the ground before it does to watch it land... Oh and to see if girl needs help, people were such a weak creature.

"Si-Mam, are you ok?" Abel had said. Never again. The lady immediately launched a fireball at him. He acted without thinking, jumping to the side. At least it was a fireball, he thought. I've dodged enough of those when I practiced with Eric. He caught something in the corner of his eye.
Abel turned his head, taking in the sight of a wyvern. How did I miss- his thoughts were cut off as he moved to dodge it's tail. It clipped his right arm, making a bruise and throwing him off course as he rolled. He fell onto his back, his sword being thrown from him.
Ah, Abel gasped as he landed. His arm was going numb. He heard the wyvern rider fussing with the wyvern. He wasn't aware of where the mage was, he was disoriented. He lifted himself up into a sitting position, taking care with his injured arm.
As Abel's head cleared, he caught sight of his sword, a few feet to his left. He could here the wyvern fighting, and the mage wasn't to far off. He groaned. How did I miss a wyvern? he thought. How did I not see it coming? He groaned again, getting up and wandering over to his sword.
"STOP!" Abel yelled at the mage. "I'm a friend. My name is Abel Caritas. I'm from Ilia." He kept a grimace from his face, showing only kindness.

Elesia showcased uncommon courage and resilience in the face of Sol's sudden assault, not even checking to see if the demon zombie murderer was dead before leaping towards and clinging to the nearest wall with the deathless grip of a psychotic gecko. Sometimes running the hell away was the better part of valor, or however that stupid saying went.
Unfortunately - fortunately? - Sol didn't actually manage to finish the monster off in the wanton display of savagery that Elesia had so thoroughly been expecting, stopped by Hal for some ungodly reason. She wasn't sure why - what else were you supposed to do with evil things? - but held off in her own assault when the creature began to speak, its monstrous nature evident in the hateful words it spewed, the rictus of hatred engulfing its face.
-Or maybe it was trying to control their minds.
...Or maybe it was just a green haired guy with a sword.
Still suspicious beyond words, Elesia found herself capable of words nonetheless, flopping down from the pole she had been clinging to with some modicum of grace, or at least landing quietly without breaking anything, and silently stalked towards him with questions in her eyes. What manner of foul demon could speak, and why would it plea for peace? It made little sense to her, but Elesia knew that she was very reasonable and magnanimous, so she could afford to humor the beast.
Also, she figured Sol would help out if it tried to eat her. Again.
"Those sound like the words of evil, foul zombie... demon... thing!" Her words rang out with quiet conviction, accusing and piercing, or at least so she liked to think. "Your dead friends have been trying to eat us. Which is understamd... umbralscra..." why were words so hard? "-it makes ok because I'm delicious and would want to eat me too, but it's not very nice to actually eat me. And I have lots of muscle so I would be tough meat anyways."
Yeah, that definitely made it obvious that he shouldn't eat her. "...So what do you want? We're in the middle of being HEROES OF TIME."
Elesia decided that when the time came to write down her awesome journies, she had been gleaming in all the colors of the rainbow at this particular moment, because there was no other way to represent how amazing she was right now.

Girl looked like she could handle herself, stupid smelly thing is getting up? I'll show him! Sol nearly tackled the zombie clawing at it's chest snapping his jaw at it's neck, weight on back seems to be gone. Oh well, easier to move and tear things apart.
Hal slide off of Sol's back, he could handle himself he proved that the other day and so far right now. He jogged over towards Elesia, she was trading words with this newcomer, she didn't look too pleased. Hal stopped next to her raising his lance pointing it at the boy. "Wh-ho ar-re yo-ou? You-'re not go-ing to tou-ch her!" Hal boldly proclaimed. If both Elesia and Sol attacked him something had to be wrong, the two of them were able to sense something was wrong with this town before Hal even noticed there wasn't a soul around. One of the things that scared Hal the most in Bern was having to take another's life, he may have done it once protecting Sol. He didn't fancy the idea of taking a human being's life but to protect Elesia would he cast his morals aside?

Abel was stunned. "Wha....?" he spoke, trying to wrap his mind around what the girl had just said. She isn't all there, is she, he thought. And this is the weirdest fight I've ever been in. I've been in many, but never have the enemies been this weird and the allies.... well, the allies are almost as bad as the enemies.
And then the wyvern rider, or who he assumed was the wyvern rider, walked up and stuttered out a question. Don't have to worry to much about him, Abel thought.
"As I told the lady, I am Abel Caritas of Ilia," Abel said to the wyvern rider. He began wipping the goop from his sword, and kept his calm facade above the pain. "Not that I mind, but usually when someone helps you in a battle you don't try and kill them." He slid his sword into the sheath on his back. "Now, may I as who you are? And did you say zombies?"

"You tried to EAT me!" Elesia shrilled it out without regard for the possibility of her perfect voice attracting attention, her outrage evident in her every word, her stance. "How was that supposed to help? I'm not going to be as awesome if I'm in little bits inside your stomach!" There was a horrified timbre to her words, less out of fear of being eaten so much as the world being bereft of her, which would be the true crime.
Wait.
Waaaaaaaait a minute.
It was all obvious now!
Clearly, this zombie was trying to atone for its wretched existence by serving the great and glorious Elesia, Hero of Time and Everything Else. She could understand that; Elesia couldn't actually imagine not being her, but she knew to the bottom of her heart that it would be a dull and unimportant existence, so it was only reasonable that this poor creature would feebly attempt to imitate her brilliance. Her disposition instantly brightened like the rising of the sun, followed by an immediate pirouette in place as she turned to Hal, smiling like the cat that got the cream. "Hal, I think it's ok, this zombie is obviously inspired by our hero... ness... ism and wants to be more like us. It's our task to teach him the wonders of being on the side of good and right and light and..."
Elesia trailed off, not sure how to properly arrange the words to rhyme, but shrugged and continued without pausing for breath a moment later. "But wickedness is insidiuhmous, so don't get eaten from behind or I won't forgive you!" Turning back to Abel with a pitying smile on her face, her eyes alight with unguarded excitement, she kept speaking without pause. "I'm Elesia! This is Hal. He's got a SKY DRAGON THING that's better than everything! We're the heroes of - well, legends we're going to create, and we're fighting dead people who are too dumb to realize they're supposed to stay dead. ...Why are you here?"

Sol tore the stupid thing apart. One of nature's most deadly predators vs some smelly walking corpse, the winner was obvious well more so than any other match up for him. Looks like his friends want to meet the same fate, one got a hand on the flap of Sol's wing. Extending his wing while raising it upward he had launched that zombie towards the nearest building. He spun around catching another with his tail knocking it into a different zombie. Sol took to the air hovering just out of their reach hissing.
Hal tried to look as intimidation as he possibly could but by the looks of it he had failed. Gripping his lance tighter he got ready to thrust it into the man's chest at a moment's notice, or so he hoped it would end up like that. Fighting a real human was tougher and more scary than fighting them monsters, they do have a level of intelligence. When Elesia had spoke of him trying to eat her Hal almost launched his first attack on the boy but waited for his reaction.
Now Elesia was okay with him and thinks he's one of them? Hal still didn't trust this guy, why else would both Elesia and Sol attack him? He whispered towards Elesia "I don't think he's one of them, their eyes are glazed over and dull his isn't." Hal heard Sol's hiss and turned back to see facing off with two of them while the other three were getting back to their feet. Hal turned back to Abel, unsure why he said what he was about to or how he mustered up the courage to say it "If ANYTHING happens to her I'll kill you myself."
Turning around Hal charged towards the two standing zombies impaling one in the leg as the other turned towards him and lunged towards him. Hal panicked and tried to back up, letting go of his lance he fell over and started to crawl backwards as the zombie crawled towards him.

Abel still couldn't believe what was being said. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It seems the crazy lady, Elesia, he thought, is the leader, though at the same time she looks to the wyvern rider, Hal, for conformation. But he seems to have no clue whats going on and she doesn't even notice. And undead? I thought that was just a story. Elesia, asked him a question. "Well long story short, I was trying to help with the Bernese rebellion when it first started but I lost my young friend and have been wandering ever since," Abel said. Hal moved into an attack postion as Abel talked. He tried to show nothing, hoping not to provoke him. Hal said something to Elesia, which Abel hopped was something to convince her that Abel was infact, human. "If ANYTHING happens to her I'll kill you myself." Hal said with officiallity and truth. "Protect the lady," Abel said,"Now that seems to be the first think to make sense in this conversation." Hal charged two zombies, getting a hit before falling backwards. Abel immediately moved; he may not know these strangers very well, but he couldn't stand and wait for Elesia to move. Hal may be worried about her, but if he was gone Abel was sure she'd lose it. He couldn't stand to see them go through that. He may not be able to keep friends and companions, but others could. Charging up behind Hal, Abel leaped, kicking the pursuing zombie in the face. He drew his sword as he rolled to his feet, using the motion to slash the zombie across the chest. It flailed violently as it stumbled backwards and fell. Abel immediately dropped into a crouch, the other zombie catching wisps of his hair as its hand flew by. Blasted wyvern, Abel thought, slicing into the zombie's injured leg. It toppled over and he quickly stabbed it in the chest. It's slowing me down. I'm already breathing hard cause of that beating. I should bandaged my wounds when I had a chance.Abel turned, sword lowered, and stretched out his hand toward Hal. "No offense, but if you want to save the girl, you first have to be able to defend yourself." Sweat dripped down Abel's face, and something twitched on the ground behind him. OoC: Its sooo nice to post with Abel. He's the only one of my characters to have real battle experience
