Appearance: Fair skin. Hair length is just down his neck, him having a mohawk. The length of the haircut falls over to one side, concealing the other shaved half. He is 6’2”, 150 lbs, and thin. Has a black ink tattoo of his family crest on his right shoulder. He holds a tattoo on the back of his right hand the symbol of the mastery of the dark magic, a ritual circle. He believes it helps to channel his spells with greater accuracy and power. Since extending his tattoo sometime before the Bern Arena event, it has caused him bits of pain whenever he used his magic.
Clothes: Purple cloak that has a hood; it has faded from wear. Underneath he wears dark khaki trousers held up by a brown belt, a dark and slim sleeveless shirt, and mid-calf black boots. He also wears a bone necklace with the talons and teeth of some of the indigenous creatures of Ilia as well as souveniers from undead and doom wolves. He wears wrappings on both of his hands.
Born in: South-Western Ilia in "The Spine", a series of mountain ranges that separate Ilia from the other countries. His village rests in one of the lesser traveled areas; named "Talvikyla".
Story: In the Kyyneltya family, Synkkis is the oldest son, but has two elder sisters and one younger brother. His mother is a retired Pegasus Knight and his father is a prominent Seer who prefers to keep his talents hidden. Synkkis as a child was unusually bright and showed great promise. His skills and knowledge in the community schooling were well above average, yet he lacked a lot of motivation because of the simplicity of the challenges set before him. This turned into a habit and he became extremely indecisive, lazy, and reclusive. He would shirk his duties and instead read books or venture into the forest, vanishing for long lengths of time and worrying his parents. This made him quite the hermit and hobbyist.
Right after his elder sister, Audri, went missing and was presumed dead, he went through an intense breakdown, running off into the woods trying to escape his problems. He stayed out there for nearly a week before the physical, mental, and emotional necessities of family and home brought him back. When he returned, there was a tome that was laid on his bed. It was named: “Ältere Kunst”. When he opened the tome, behind the cover was a small note, written by his father. It read, “You returned with grey and black, your soul crippled as if the heavens rained arrows. The loss will become a repeated dream as I know. The land you roam of life and love will transform to a greensward grey and the passion of lovers will be left for death. The affinities have spoken of your fate, but it is up to you if you rise to your calling or fade into nihility. Flux has always been the base of Elder Magic. This ancient art will tear into your foe’s trachea like a hungry wolf or tear apart their soul and cast them into oblivion. It is my final gift to you before you disembark, which I know to be true. I offer you fare travels, son.”

His absence had been a source of problems for his younger brother, Alaric, and his elder sister, Olivia. He had been traveling in Sacae and then found himself in Bern for a very long time. He worked as a mercenary until he was put into slavery before he escaped with the daughter of a Bernese Marquess. They have long been separated, spurring Synkkis northwards.
He was present at the horror of the Bern Arena event, causing him to flee and return home - finding nothing left for him in Bern. He was last seen at his home area, living there ever since the Arena event. He, as well as his brother, Alaric, had started looking for work not far from home where the chaos of the Ilian-Etrurian War has been right on their doorstep.
