Kelvin turned quickly to face his opponent but before he knew it, the Sacaen was darting around him and aiming a strike at his back. Turning as quickly as his armor would allow, Kelvin attempted to place his axe in the way of the blade, but found himself too slow. Selibas' blade struck the armor on his forearm, sending the axe from his hand to land several feet away. From the look of it, the head of the axe was stuck a good few inches in the ground and would take time to retrieve. Time he didn't have.
Instead, Kelvin sweeped his leg through Selibas', knocking him over. Moving as fast as the armor would allow, he dashed to the tree he had leaned his lance against and grabbed it quickly, wheeling around to face his opponent.

Selibas landed a hit, but didn't get as excited as usual. The man was armored, not hitting him would have been something to be shocked about. Lost in thought for a few brief moments, Selibas all of a sudden saw the ground flipped upside down. His face hit the ceiling, and the ceiling being the ground in this instance. He slowly pushed his body off the ground. His chest was beginning to be as sore as his face. Wait, no, the other way around. His face was beginning to be as sore as his chest.
Selibas had a few mixed feelings about this fight. It was nice to get to fight in a recreational way with someone who fought with their body as well as their weapon. He didn't like that it was with someone who was better at it than him. He picked Caladbolg back up off the ground. Damn, the man made the decision to change his weapon, and Selibas lost his one advantage. Great, Selibas took off running, and raised his sword. He was giving the man the chance to move. He broke down in front of Kelvin, and swung his sword at the mes chest from the right, but then changed for his opponents left shoulder.

Kelvin had precious few seconds to react as his opponent came charging towards him. While the lance had the advantage over the sword, that advantage had nothing to do with speed. Selibas' strike came far too fast for Kelvin to raise any defense and hit an unarmored part of his arm, tearing the sleeve of his shirt and giving him a decent sized cut.
Kelvin, determined to keep Selibas from hitting again, struck at the back of the Sacaen's knee with his lance, knocking him down into a kneeling position. He quickly flipped the lance around and held the point to Selibas' throat.
"I think that'll do," Kelvin said, with a smile on his face. "Now get up," he added tossing the lance aside and offering Selibas his hand, "We've got a lot to talk about."

Selibas successfully landed a final blow, but it was payed back by a piercing pain in his knee. It fell down to the ground, causing just a little bit more pain. He was about to get back up, but then the cold tip of the man's lance kept hi grounded. For a few more seconds, Selibas' senses remained at a high. He could smell the blood in Kelvin's cut, and hear a few gusts of wind whistling on the grass. He smiled at Kelvin's outstretched hand, and he took it.
Selibas had no idea what he would have to contribute to whatever he was needed to talk about, but he'd follow the orders. He nodded and simply said, "But of course sir, whatever my Bernese half has to offer is at your service. Though I think your lady has need of you" Selibas re-sheathed his weapon, and indicated to Chelsea.

Kelvin nodded in response to Selibas and removed his helmet, rolling it to where he had discarded his lance. He then turned and went to retrieve his axe. He gave it a few strong tugs and it came free. He placed it with the rest of his gear. Walking over to Chelsea, he offered her his hand.
"Milady," he said, ever so politely.

Chelsea took Kelvin's hand and rose to her feet, brushing off her butt lightly with her free hand. "I'm pleased to see you won your spar, Milord," she said with a curtsey and a smirk. It was more making fun of Kelvin for being all stuffy and noble rather than observing culture. Personally, she thought titles like Milady were stupid. But Kelvin can get away with anything around her. "I still don't get why you have to fight for no reason, but boys will be boys." She took her head and tapped on his fancy new armor. "Your new armor is all bulky. It makes you look fat," she said with a grin, knowing it would get some kind of reaction from her fiance.

"Well, Chels, I had to spar with him so I could test his abilities," Kelvin explained. "If I don't know how well he fights, I won't know what to do with him. And as for the armor, sure it makes me look fat, but it keeps me safe. You saw how his blade kept bouncing off. And besides, you know I'm all muscle underneath that armor," he added with a wink.

Selibas kept quiet as the two spoke. The girl was definately familiar, but Selibas couldn't place a name to her face. He also couldn't really recall where he'd met her. She seemed to have a romantic involvement with Kelvin, so that made Selibas the second most important Sacaen he'd seen in the city. Selibas struggled to (re?)introduce himself, "Hello m-miss. I mean ma'am, m'lady." Selibas hesitated, then bowed.

Chelsea rolled her eyes again at Kelvin. "I know it's not all muscle under there," she winked back. "There's a little extra there too." She turned to the Sacaen Kelvin have been sparring with. He seemed familiar. She waved her hand. "Please, don't call me any fancy title. My name's Chelsea, not ma'am or milady. And don't bow either." She looked up at Kelvin. "Please tell me I'm not gonna have to deal with people calling me names like that for now on." She sighed and shook her head before turning back to the Sacaen. "Didn't I meet you once on the plains?"

"I wouldn't think so," Kelvin replied, "Even after we get married, you wouldn't be Lady Calderon unless half of my family died." Turning towards Selibas, he added, "Just stick with calling us Kelvin and Chelsea. You can call me Ser Kelvin if you're feeling formal, but please, try not to be formal. Now come on, we've got a rebellion to plan."

Selibas was about to reply when the blacksmith from before arrived. He spoke up, "I believe it'd be best if said planning was done inside my shop. You never know who's listening." He hurried into his shop. Selibas turned to Chelsea, "I think so, I'm pretty sure you were with Valcrist. And an archer i think." Selibas shrugged his shoulders, not really sure of the man's name. He followed Porter into his shop.
The man was lighting a few candles on a table in a corner of the shop. Selibas leaned on the wall rather than presumptuously sit down too early. Porter quietly locked the door to his shop. He sat back down, and said, "So, what are we going to do first about this rebellion?"

As the others gathered around the table, Kelvin grabbed a map of Bern from the corner of the room. He rolled it out on the table and studied it briefly. After about a minute of thinking, he looked up from the map and addressed the others.
"I think it's time we finally get this army moving. Nasir's doing his job already, preparing the city of Larguz for our arrival. Hopefully, by the time we get there, he'll have Wyvern Knights ready for us. In the meantime, we need to begin mobilizing the troops we already have. We'll begin by moving to the village of Keth. From there we go to another village called Halith, then it's on to Larguz. From there we'll rendezvous with Nasir and move from there. Any questions?" Kelvin finished, meeting the eyes of each person in the room.

Chelsea had no questions, but plenty of concerns. She knew, obviously, that Kelvin felt very strong about this. But her... This wasn't her fight. She would never said it in front of anyone save Kelvin, but she wasn't sure she should be here. Sure, at the time, she had no problem saying yes to going with Kevin. And why not? She hadn't been with him for a while and had missed him great, plus they had just gotten engaged! How could they part now? And yet now that she was actually here, it just felt wrong. She didn't doubt this was a worthy cause, but it wasn't her cause. She just gave Kelvin an unsure look and stayed quiet until they could talk privately.

Selibas was interested in the map. He'd never understood maps. It didn't make sense to put the world on a piece of parchment. What if the placement was wrong? What if a river had sharper angles, so it looked like a mountain on the map? He'd never seen a river that jagged, but he hadn't seen the whole world. For all he knew, every river had jagged banks. He heard Kelvin explain a collection off town names and then check if there was a problem.
Selibas raised his left eyebrow as he said, "Just one, maybe two. What if those villagers want to join the rebellion? We could go in under profile, incite a... it starts with a c I think. Basically I think there's a chance we could gain men and control without losing too many. Also, what do we exactly have to work with in terms of soldiers?" He reminded himself he held no rank with this army yet with a cringe.

"I have considered that, Selibas," Kelvin answered, scratching at his beard. "However, I see one issue with that plan. If our agents are discovered before we can raise a significant force in the villages, they'll be killed, as well as anyone caught fraternizing with them. We need every last person we can get. Besides, when we attack each village, those loyal to the cause will, hopefully, rally to our banners and join the fight. As for your second question, we have nearly three hundred men now, all trained by me. Now, it's not an army capable of taking on the full forces of Ilia, but, for our purposes, it will do."
