"I'd like the chance to have a short chat after the tourney." She lowered her voice a bit and leaned in so most people couldn't hear her.
"If we get separated before we get the chance, you can find me by asking for lair Feldsky at the army camped outside the city...." She leaned back, returning to a normal volume level.
"I never got the chance to thank you for helping us out back there, after all."
Wyatt gave good advice for the crowd fearing. He also gave good advice for her opponents.... She could feel the eyes of the watching contestants boring into her back now. She reached down to straighten her skirt over her hips before remembering that she was wearing leather leggings now. Instead, she shifted her hands to her belt, moving it into the proper place.
"Yeah, well you underestimated me, and I was coiled tight enough to beat an arrow off the bow string.... Of course, that's about how I'm feeling now too." She smiled a bit, perfectly comfortable with the story. She didn't embarrass the same way she had when she was still new to all of this. Confidence was permitted, and beneficial. It was overconfidence that caused so many problems.
She heard the call going out for the fighters to gather around, and moved towards where the tournament people indicated.
"Mana, I'm glad to have met you. Maybe we can do something later. Till then, may the wind be always at your back." Clair moved towards the ring to find a place to watch, but turned back after a couple of steps.
"And Tuatara, be careful out there." He worried her sometimes.... Actually, most times.... She turned back to the arena, looking for a good spot to set up.

Calvin skipped joyfully through the crowds. He was of course filled with his usual jolly attitude but today in particular had that extra ounce of pride and glee. For starters he had just spent the past few weeks at the village, helping the village recover from the bandit attack. Calvin with assistance from his friends Aaron, Lilith, Elias and of course Isabel had fended off the invading bandits and protected the innocents. Afterwards however, the group departed, without Calvin. It was a sad decision but the others wanted to move and go their separate ways. Look around Calvin couldn’t possibly ignore the village, in ruins and swarming with sorrow. He explained the situation to Isabel and after a tough departure Calvin realized it was good to spend a little time alone. So he helped out, he become associated with the villagers and did what he could do to help with repairs. The village was fixed in no time, and of course Calvin was rewarded with great thanks (which he was dedicated to pass onto the others who helped). Calvin spent time at the village after, pretty soon his songs and heartful personality became a familiar aspect to the villagers, within no time at all Calvin had not only helped the village, but earned the money he needed to help his family at home. So Calvin was here today, filled with pride and glee but also excitement. Originally headed home, Calvin had caught wind of the tournament, anxious to not only observe but to find his friends!
A shaded figure followed Calvin, hunched as he scuttered through the crowds muttering to himself grumpily. He seemed to be angry about something but Calvin remained oblivious to the fact that someone was even following him.

The time has finally come for him to play his role as spy, the guard opened the door and called Hiro over. On his way to the door he liked to Mel and told her he'll be back with a wink. He was escorted to William's office where he was given his belongings and went over a quick plan. Hiro was to smoke them out, figuratively and literally, then William's men would move in detaining any and everybody in the room. Hiro was lead around town to where the meeting would take place by a guard in plain clothing to reduce the chance of somebody spotting the guard for what he really was. From what Hiro could tell there was a lot of "thugs" hanging around within a block or so of the tavern. Knocking on the door a slot slide open and a pair of eyes appeared. "Who are you?" the voice demanded. "The name is Shadow Walker, one of your buddies from the guard post invited me here." The slot had shut just as quickly as it had opened, Hiro could hear some people talking and the door swung open with two men standing there, the owner of the eyes and voice and the guard he met a few days back.
He entered the room without saying anything, all eyes were on him. They shut the door almost instantly, Hiro leaned against the wall near the door. Everybody remained silent for a minute before what seemed to be thier leader spoke up once again. They were giving details when they were going to make their attack and how, so far they haven't mentioned Hiro or what use of him they would make. There was only one thing on his mind, getting the hell out of here as soon as possible, after this gig he had only one thing to do before he left. Let that brat out of jail, least he could do after forcibly kissing her. Yea sure she kneed him in the manhood but getting what he deserved was something he was use to, the kiss wasn't great nor was it bad maybe he'd get another if he played his cards right with getting her out. The leader looked towards him and called for his attention. "Shadow Walker is it? What is your real name? We don't hide behind alias around here." Hiro shook his head "No, I think you guys misunderstood me, I'm a contracted thief I make my way into places to steal items, information, plant evidence, or things of those nature. The group I work for has some rules, one being never give out your real name, I already broke one of the important rules by meeting face to face with the client I wouldn't want to risk giving out my name as well."
The man wasn't pleased to hear Hiro saying no to an order. "I think you didn't understand me boy, you work for me you belong to me. I'm not going to let you hold up this meeting, we do not have time for it but afterwards you're going to speak with me alone. For the time being we have no use for a covert mission, you'll be of use tonight." Hiro chuckled to himself as he shook his head. He closed his eyes as the man quickly changed the subject, he had began to think how he would began to make himself appear to be sick. His neck muscles had began to tighten, he was going to force himself to throw up, he started to cough as his eyes were watering up "Sorry, the garbage they call food I ate is making me sick, I'm going to step out for a breath of fresh air." The moment Hiro made it outside he began to throw up into the streets with the door being shut behind him. He saw a familiar face blinding into the crowd who he gave a nod letting him know it was time. Taking out his glove and slipping it on his hand he began to light the fuse on his smoke bombs as he knocked on the door, one of William's larger guards stood near him as it opened. Hiro lobbed a couple of the smoke bombs near the back of the room as the door was shoved open by William's man, then he rolled a few near the door right before it was slammed shut. Now the building was surrounded by his men who had one order, to rush in and take anybody they could alive and kill those who resisted. William met up with Hiro as everybody was getting into place. "They plan to attack at the arena first during round 3, by the sounds of it they plan on just zergin the arena and your place. They have some people hiding down below in the sewers, their leader is in the far left corner. I have other things to attend to like getting the hell out of this place."
Hiro quickly made his way back to the same place he was locked up in, before he went in he prepped his last smoke bomb before entering. He slowly tested the door, it was locked, flipping out his lockpick he looked around to see if anybody was watching and to his luck there wasn't anybody in plain sight. Sticking it into the lock and turning it till he heart the clicking sound he hastily entered the building, he remembered the way to his cell he stopped around the corner to see if there was a guard there, no surprise he was. Snapping his fingers the spark caught the tender and quickly burned down to the smoke bomb and rolled it to the guard's feet then took off running towards him, the man started to cough and walked to Hiro trying to avoid the smoke and was tackled by the smaller man. Hiro sat up top of him and drop his elbow into his temple knocking him out, that all that was holy or something that worked well in his favor. Hiro wasted no time standing up and flipping out his lock pick once again skillfully unlocking this door as well. He swung it open to see Mel still waiting "Told you I'd be back, now let's go we have no time to waste." Grabbing her wrist he almost drug her as they ran to the door and entering the streets. Once they were outside he saw no signs of William and his men returning which was a good thing for Mel and now for Hiro. "I'd be lying if I said I was going to miss you and I enjoyed being in the slammer with you. But this is were we part ways, if you were smart you'll get away from this place and lay low for a bit and don't do anything stupid."

William moved up as the process of cleaning up his city began. They had to be ever vigilant against spies and rebel sympathizers in these times, or else the battlefield would invite itself straight into the gates of mighty Bern's capital. But when it payed off.... William grinned at the satisfied feeling he was getting now, and the break it would give in finding other threats. When it payed off, there was little else he would rather be doing in the world.
He stopped, armor clinking softly under the heavy grey mantle he wore over his plate. That thief had gotten in and out, it seemed. The Captain listened to what the man said, and then allowed him to pass as other soldiers rushed to their positions. Third round. Guard post, and the arena. And of course they're in the sewers. William watched the retreating back of the thief. He considered stopping the man, but was much more in the mood to take care of the other responsibilities he had at the moment. He pocketed the pay he'd been intending to give the thief as he ran off. Oops....
[teal]"Don't wait for me, boys! Move in."[/teal] The Captain's gravelly voice was plenty to remind everyone to snap to. Soldiers rushed into the room where the rebels had been meeting, and were still coughing from all the smoke. Nice trick that, William decided. He moved in and saw a preliminary struggle put to an end as some of his men beat the resistance into submission with their clubs. William identified another rebel pushing through a doorway in the back and moved to intercept. The door slammed in his face, just before he could reach the runner, but that wasn't an issue. The door wasn't the most solid construction in the world from the looks of things. Which made things simpler for the knight.
As the door closed, William raised his armored fist, and with the force of his motion behind him, punched straight through the door. He felt his knuckles grown, and there was a pain in his hand which told him he'd probably be regretting this later, but the sheer exhilaration of what he was doing elicited a laugh of triumph as he felt the rebel through the door. He grabbed the man by what felt like the straps for a set of light armor, and hauled him back against the door with a thud.
[teal]"Gotcha rebel!"[/Teal] With another heave, William pushed the man forward again and pulled him back once more, this time pulling the man clear through the door, which split to either side as he hit the floor where Captain Saint threw him down.
[teal]"Now... I wouldn't try any more running unless you want to see what going through the floor feels like!"[/teal] William looked around at the others, a smile on his face.
[teal]"A job well done, gentleman. Well done." Any that had run would be caught by the second ring, but he didn't think any had made it out once the smoke started up. Now he just needed to figure out what to do with the information he had. First things to do would be to load up the Guard post, and the Arena with additional guardsman, as well as the sewers around those points. He considered other points of interest as well. Now that he had so many soldiers to use, courtesy of Abend, he could double up on a few other places too. The noble district could stand to have a few more soldiers watching it for one, and wherever resources were kept. That would leave the wyverns open to cover the roads and city fringes, as well as that Feldsky woman he assumed.... For the immediate moment though, he needed to get these guys back to the prison, and take care of some extra precautions on securing them.

Lyrt flashed a cheery smile towards Isabel shaking her head slowly. "No offense taken, none in any way. I am sure that there must be much that you wish to catch up on. I wish to look about the city, and that I have the knowledge that Jya is alright I can do so with a lighter heart." The sacaen gave a low bow and turned back to Jya waiting until Isabel had finished addressing her before speaking.
"Ah, absolutely if you wish to see the arena we should do so! I do not expect to find anyone to fix the blade, I just wish to know if it is damaged or not to put my spirit at rest. It will not take long I believe, but I do not mind if you head to the arena immediately. I can just meet up with you once I am done."
She gave a soft nod and held the blade close, carefully wrapping an oiled cloth around it and cradling it close to her chest.

Mel spent most of her time in the cell brooding quietly over her predicament. She had wanted to skip out of the city long before the present, and every second was a second wasted. Sitting in a dank little room for so long was already taking its toll on her already trodden mood.
The carrot headed one was already gone, and it was left with just her and the perverted dunce. It was thrilling sitting still in a corner and ignoring him as her mind raced thinking of new havoc to wreak once she was out. Quietly she would pull at the ragged ends of her hair and imagine all the ways to make the aggravating pervert kneel at her feet and kiss her boots begging for mercy. There was little else to do but think, drawing attention to herself would not be in her best interest for an early release.
Hiro did pop in and out of the cell for reasons that were unknown, and stayed so. Yet she silently gained satisfaction that the only reason he was being pulled out like so was because he was preforming a few favors of a certain nature for them. It unlikely of course, there had to be another reason more plausible, yet her version was far more amusing.
There was a slightly commotion, yet she she seemed to stay disinterested. Her attention was drawn to her nails which she so dutifully inspected feigning momentary ignorance to what was happening outside.
"Told you I'd be back, now let's go we have no time to waste.
A rude hand snapped around her wrist and pulled the small girl up and along down the hall. She furrowed her brow and let out a loud agitated hiss of disapproval as she dug her heels into the floor. Narrowed blue eyes glared up at Hiro and she clawed at his neck angrily, missing it closely by only five or so inches. It was closer distance than Sabin's or Joel's, that was for sure.
She had been so busy protesting him dragging her around that she had not even taken notice of the change in the prison surroundings and the sky looming overhead. "I'd be lying if I said I was going to miss you and I enjoyed being in the slammer with you. But this is were we part ways, if you were smart you'll get away from this place and lay low for a bit and don't do anything stupid."
It took all of her willpower to hold back from...from...what would she do anyways? Glowering like a soaked kitten she took a step or two back and hissed up at him her hair standing up on end.
"You! Y-you...."
It seemed as if she was about to strike him, hand tensed while her fists clenched tightly by her side. Yet after a few moments of silent contemplation she relaxed, shoulders rising and sinking in a soft sigh of indifference. "Hmm..."
A brow rose up in sudden suspicion, curiosity finally starting to prod at her mind. "So why are you out and about free as can be? What are you planning on spending your new found free time on?" A haughty smirk was plastered on her lips as she stared up at him, arms crossed comfortably in front of her chest.

Hiro noticed she had looked upset with him, sure being drug around wasn't an ideal way of being broken out of jail but it's better than being caught. He began to walk away, he never planned on responding to her then he noticed a familiar face in the crowd. Did one of Kraft's assassins track him here? crap this wasn't good, Hiro wasn't sure if they were here on the off chance of running into one of the many people wanted dead or alive, hell he wasn't sure if he was on that list now or not. Not risking certain death he turned back towards Mel lowering his head. A hood would be freaking fantastic right about now, well one that covered his hair.
"Let's just say I know a guy who knows a dude, or something like that." He paused for a moment while closing the gap between him and the girl. He had lowered his voice in hopes Kraft's man wouldn't notice him. "You had seemed to despise me from the moment you layed eyes on me, and your hatred for me grew when I kissed you. Why are you so interested in me now? I'm just a contracted thief, I'm not looking for an apprentice or partner so anything you say will be a waste of breath." Hiro kept his eyes focused on the crowd, he kept making sure he didn't see anybody else he knows and if Williams men were coming back.
For the time he would be a little bit safer in the city, it was easier to blind into the crowd then roughing it basically alone out there. Now he was looking for a place to spend the night, he would have to wait till the tournament was over and everybody was leaving to make his exit. There wasn't an inn within his eye sight, he would have to risk it looking for one. Hiro had sighed at his luck, which was the same reason he never took up gambling. "It's not safe for me to be here kid," His tone was now a fearful one, he walked past the girl trying to keep his head low enough where he could see just fine.

Blue eyes watched the man intently, making note of his movements as he started to head off towards the crowd. Did he think that she would allow him to leave her behind so easily? Was he delusional among his many other prominent problems of the mind. She tensed and prepared to give chase if he tried to run off and hide among the passing people.
Although, surprisingly he turned around and headed off back towards her his head held low as he passed by her, his tone as he spoke almost that of fright. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion at his unusual behavior, and the girl look off after him a new spring in her step. "I find you to be an irritatingly useless being" she replied bluntly as she followed "as such you are really of no interest to me. I find that if you are as you say a..." She foundered in her thoughts for a moment trying to remember what he had just said. "A contracted thief, if you are simply like that then I am more interested in the nature of said contract...and whom with...."
She tossed an arm over his shoulders and continued to walk alongside him, perched up on her toes to cut out as much of the difference in height as possible. "Or well...I can shout your name out for the world to hear..." Why else would he not run why he had the chance unless there was something stopping him. As much as she hated to admit it, the likeliness that it was her who had frightened him so was very low. Mixed with the ease he left the prison it was unlikely that no one was looking for him, he had broken out.
"Your safety is of no matter to me...so sing like that little bird that you are" Mel pulled her hood up with her free hand, taking much care to cover her ears. The unnecessary attention would only be a distraction and an aggravating waste of her time to ignore.

Did she really just threatened the great Hiro? This girl had some guts even though if it came down to it she could whoop his ass. When she placed her arm around him he had done the same, hopefully they appeared to be a couple just walking down the street, Even if it wasn't her intent. "You really want to know who I'm working for?" Hiro knew she wouldn't call out his name if she really wanted to know, she wanted him to sing like a bird but it would be impossible for a corpse to do so, he saw Kraft make that mistake a few times. He changed their direction to the inn and stopped right in front of the door and leaned in, his lips were only a couple of inches from her ear and he whispered "Your mom." He laughed as he pulled his head away and his arm from around her.
"If you really want to know you're going to have to follow me around but you have to pay for half of the room because I ain't supporting yo ass like I'm yo daddy." He gave her no time to respond, he opened the door and darted in shutting it behind him. He leaked against the wall next to the door with arms folded, Can I help you? The clerk asked him, he nodded while saying he was waiting for someone.

"Oh! I can come, not in a hurry," Jya declared taking her place next to Lyrt. She still hoped she hadn't caused the girl too much trouble. It had only been, what now? One day? Yes that is about right, it had been a whole day since they last saw each other., Now there is also the case with Isabel but the shaman did not seem to be in a hurry either.
"I think I passed a blacksmith's place while on my way here, come on," she indicated as she waved for the others to follow. With the whole commotion over, she led them towards a less crowded area. The shops here seemed to be more on standby and shoved aside from the more convenient stalls. The silence was more nice for once, although she had plenty in her cell.

Mel stared quietly at the door that Hiro had closed behind him, a strong resolve slowly being built up in her mind. She wanted something to occupy her time with anyways, and making the elder thief's life miserable certainly would lift her dampened spirits. It was not nearly as much fun as when it was the blue haired sword fink's mind that she was playing with, nothing could compare.
She opened the door and immediately latched onto Hiro's arm, an angelic smile overtaking her features as she beamed at the clerk. "My husband and I would like a room if there is one available" she simpered sweetly. "We don't mind taking whatever you have, since we only need each other to be happy." The silver haired girl leaned up onto the very tips of her toes and pressed her lips to his cheek softly. It was a cheeky movement, yet she enjoyed every moment of the thought of him squirming in his own skin.

Isabel stood aside, letting Jya and Lyrt to make whatever decisions they wanted to make. An arena did sound like a lot of potential fun, but, hey, apparently they had decided to go off and do something else. Which, in this case, was wandering around until they found someone who was capable of taking a look at Lyrt's sword and possibly fixing it, if necessary... Ah, the wonders of being a magic-user. You never had to worry about your tomes just up and breaking... Unless someone lit them on fire... Or you tossed them in a lake of river or a puddle or any body of water, really... Okay, so maybe tomes weren't the most hardy of weaponry, but still, they beat a sword or lance any day of the week in Isabel's book. The blue-haired shaman quietly followed Jya, rifling through the pages of her Flux tome. On inspection, the pages weren't holding up as well as they used to; yellowing and beginning to crinkle, and more than a couple useless pages had fallen out. The shaman briefly wondered when exactly that had happened, but, whatever. The tome itself should still hold out for quite a while, which saved her the worry of finding a new one. Sure, she had that Luna tome just hanging around in her satchel, but Isabel wasn't ready to use that just yet.
Solomon poked his head out of Isabel's bag tiredly, giving a little cat-yawn as he looked about. The streets here were mostly empty, and the people who still remained were walking quickly, more quietly, and obviously with a destination in mind. The cat swiveled his left ear, listening to the steady footfalls of the shaman girl and those other two goofs, before ducking back into the bag and curling up on top of the flat surface that book cover gave him.
Isabel, with her Flux tome held to her side by her left hand, glanced around the area, at the stalls and the general lack of people (at least in comparison to where they had been before). "So..." she started, walking up beside Lyrt with quick steps. "Hi." Starting conversations was so much easier when you had an over-enthusiastic bard to start them for you. "I'm from Etruria." Lamest conversation starter ever. Of all time. Way to go, Iz.

Hiro turned to face Mel after she had kissed him on the cheek, he didn't think it was an act for the clerk. It could be quite possible that she had fallen madly in love with him after he kissed her in the jail cell a few days ago, that could explain her desire to follow him like she has been since her release. It doesn't matter either way, a girl was chasing after him for a change and by time morning comes he'll be long gone either way. He had flashed her a sly smile, "Darling!" Hiro said as he wrapped his arms around the small girl and leaned in kissing her, both his hands ended up on her butt squeezing a few times and pulled her closer during the kiss. A man could use to this type of interaction with a woman, well if he was to settle down which Hiro never planned on doing anyways, it would be selfish to all the ladies out there devoting himself to only one.
He kept his gaze into her eyes for a few more seconds before the clerk told them to get a room... for 30 gold pieces. Prices must be high due to that stupid tournament, walking over to the desk he handed over his money for the room key, as he turned back to Mel and began to walk he muttered 'dick' under his breath. He had placed his left arm on her back, reached down put his right arm at her knees and picked her up and carried her towards the step where he "acidently" bumped her head into the wall "Oh, I'm sorry dear!" on the inside he was laughing hysterically. Once in the room he dropped her on the bed and walked to the desk setting his bag on it, pulled out the chair with the back facing Mel and sat in it resting his chin on the top. "You owe me 15 gold coins, also what the hell was that all about back there?"

Lyrt gave a soft nod and followed after Jya, keeping right on her heels with the fear of losing her in the crowd once again. It was nice to have companions with her when she traveled about, it made time pass far fasted and the time that did pass more memorable. Having people about that made a person happy did help keep their health up, and heal quicker from any wounds.
Jya led them to a cluster of stalls off to the side of the marketplace, far less people around then where the main shops were stationed. Less business as well, and the inspection of the blade would take far less time with no lines to wait upon.
She hurried towards the first blacksmith's stand that she saw and held out the sword to him her head bowed. "Please take a look at this! I...I think I hurt it when I fell!"
The blacksmith looked startled to say the least, an odd girl running up and holding out her sword like it was an arm and a leg. Yet with all the odd people about because of the tournament business was booming, it was most profitable to cater to their odd whims. "Aye" he replied simply and snatched the blade out of her hands and examining it quietly under the light.
"It musta' had a jarrin' fall to crack it like so, this here runs upta' hilt, I cant' get to fixin' this sort..." He handed it back to her gently and patted her bowed head sympathetically before returning to his forge to work.
She bit her lip worriedly and cradled the sword as she turned back to Jya unsure what was to be done, yet Isabel spoke up to her distracting her from the blade's fate. "Etruria? Jya said Ilia she was from, and you are from Etruria? How interesting, please do tell me about it." She clapped her hands together excitedly in front of her, the blade falling to the ground, forgotten for the moment.

Mel had to bite her tongue to stop from smashing her fist in the smug little fink's face when he kissed her back. She had expected some surprise or disbelief on his part as she used his own techniques against him in such a manner. Quickly she closed her eyes to hide the rage flaring up in her eyes and leaned in, playing along just like he was. Even when he squeezed her bottom she bottled in her rage for a later use, he would not gain any satisfaction from it. It grew harder to press the cork in on her rage as he smashed her head against the wall, her growth would be stunted! She would loose a few feet from her future height of 8'3.
She dropped onto the bed and pulled the pillow up to her chest, hugging it tightly as she stared at him silently. Her eyes narrowed and one of her brows slowly rose up high "I am unsure what that was Daaarling~ Can you explain?" Her lips curled up into a shy smile as she stared at him, head cocked slightly to the side. "How can you explain true love? Love is without rhyme nor reason daaaarling~"
Her hand patted the space next to her on the bed invitingly and scooted over to give him some room to sit. Once he was lulled into a false sense of relaxation she would strike back against him, taking him by surprise. It would be a sweet sweet revenge, and she would be sure to leave him humiliated and ruing the day that he made the mistake to step up against her.
Closing her eyes for a moment she let herself fall over to lay on her side as she watched him with large expectant kitten eyes. "D-don't be so shy! After all...it is our first night together, I am sure you will not disappoint me." Her lips pulled up into a pout as she watched him expectantly "its no fun if you stay all the way over there...i-im scared too...but its alright, because you are..."
