“Oh crap”, spoke Butorega as he realized what was going on. For a moment he had spaced out from the shock. Getting saved was not a regular event for the Brigand. Before he could move to help Orcleous another man rushed in to aid. However that man was then attacked by another little devil with a club. Before Orcleous could move Butorega rushed in and took a swing at the imp. The monster seemed to predict his attack and blocked with its wooden club. Butorega’s axe dug into the club causing the blade to get stuck in the wood. The elf then proceeded to let go of said club and switch to a dagger. Crap thought Butorega as the monster stabbed forward with the blade. Butorega jumped backwards putting some space between him and it, but not before taking a stab to the abdomen.

“Holy cow he is fast”, thought Orcleous as he saw the brigand shoot by. The elf seemed to have got the best of him though. Allowing his club to stick to his axe made the weapon useless. Still Orcleous was quite impressed by his quick feet and quite pissed he could no use those same quick feet to aid him when the monster was breathing down his neck. None the less there was no time for him to be angry.
Orcleous rushed in swinging his blade at the elf. His sword was longer than its knife and thus gave him an advantage. The young novice was able to get a clean hit in and cut the monster right through the mid section. “Got it”, shouted Orcleous as he turned around. To his great surprise the beast was not dead. It jumped forward and landed on the Novice chest. Orcleous scrambled to get it off, but the monster was standing in the center. It raised its knife in the air preparing to stab him.
“Not today”, shouted Orcleous as he slammed his fist into the beast face. The blow disorientated it enough for him to at least get it off his chest. From a grounded position he took a swing at it, but the elf blocked with its knife.

Did she say he was alive and Sol wasn't? That couldn't be true, no it couldn't. Why did Sol have to die, it should have been Hal. His breathing began to increase in speed and became heavier, biting down on his lower lip he fought the urge to cry, his eyes began to fill with tears so he began to bite harder. His lip was now bleeding, the physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional pain he was going through. To most wyvern riders the wyvern is a tool, a weapon, a mount but not to Hal. Sol was his friend, he had idolized wyverns since he was a young kid, Hal even risked everything to save a wyvern pup from that sadistic bastard James. Years later after wondering around Bern and Lycia a faithful even led that pup to save Hal's life when he needed, it was life's funny way of repaying the boy for his good deed and now Hal blindly led Sol to a slaughter. This wasn't fair. Then the winged woman gave him a warning before diving, his head went right into her chest as he held on tight. He didn't want her to see him crying and so he could stay alive long enough to see those... demons pay for what they did to Sol. Once the woman set Hal down he ran his arm across his eyes to wipe away the tears so he could see clearly, gripping his lance in both his hands tightly he had began to shake. The cold wasn't the problem, the wool shirt under his armor made sure it wasn't, no he was trembling in fear and anger.
These things were worse than the zombies, and they scared the bajebus out of him, but he couldn't run away, not this time. Without Elesia here to be his emotional crutch he had to man up and face his fears on his own. He witnessed some woman slay one of the beast, it didn't bring satisfaction watching one of them die, it only angered Hal more. They were his to kill, not hers. Letting out an angry, sorrowful yelp he ran towards the dead beast stabbing it repeatedly sobbing. "I... I... HATE... YOU..." Hal muttered as he punctured holes in the corpse.

Satan Claws braced himself for an attack from the oh so naughty man, then his friend pulled him away. "Oh ho ho ho, first you insult me by calling me fat, then attack me. It seems like you're family is getting the hacked up bits of your body in their stockings this year." He stopped to watch the carnage around him, it seems like his reindeer grounded the wyvern for good, it's rider fell towards the ground at a rapid speed. Then he noticed the humans struggling against his elves, how did they expect to beat him when they could barely work together. Then there was that annoying mage healing his friends, this actually brought a smile to his face. That meant he could serve up more holiday pain before the group was no more. Looking around some more he saw one of his reindeer fall at the hands of a woman, that naughty witch! Doesn't she know how hard it is to train them let alone breed them? Disrespectful, cold hearted, ungraceful wench. She will have to wait, now where did that loud mouth run off to, ah there he is with some friends. Turning his axe to face him, Satan Claws slid his massive left forearm through the strap on the head gripping the handle. With a slight twist he pulled the haft down to reveal a spear head. "Time to show you ungraceful, naughty children what this 375lbs of pure muscle can do." With each step he took it felt like a stomp, marching towards Butorega he let out a low whistle nodding away signaling for all of the elves to run along and play with their other toys, it's daddy's turn to play.
"Murder, theft, and most importantly disrespect for your elders. Butorega, you've been a very naughty boy this year." Pulling his arm back Satan Claws shifted his body as he stepped forward thrusting the lance towards the man's chest.

It seems that Butorega comment about his weight seems to have gotten under his skin. As the jolly man approached Butorega pulled his axe out of the wooden club. As Butorega threw the club aside he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. He had almost forgotten that he had gotten stabbed. Butorega reached into his pocket and pulled out his vulnerary and applied it to the wound.
"Murder, theft, and most importantly disrespect for your elders. Butorega, you've been a very naughty boy this year", spoke Santa Claws as he prepared his weapon.
"You forgot arson", spoke Butorega in defiance. His woods were soon met with a swift thrust from Santa Claws axe. The brigand instantly began to move as he saw Santa pull back his arm. However the speed of the thrust was far faster than Butorega had expected. The spear ripped through Butorega's leather jacket and cut through his flesh. Lucky Butorega was already turning, but even still the attack left a long gash on the brigands chest. Blood began to flow as Butorega was forced to his knees.
A strange feeling started to build in Butorega stomach as he stared at the jolly man. The brigand knew what it was, but did not want to admit it. For the first time in quite a while Butorega was scared. However fear was not enough to keep the brigand down. "Dang this fat man can really fight", spoke the brigand as he rose from his knee. In all his days of fighting he had never face such an opponent.

Ryuzaki twirled his sword and swung an arcing blow at an elf, fully expecting to watch its head roll and draw a pretty scarlet path through the snow. But his sword met only air as the elf hordes all seemed to retreat as one.
“Wha…” Ryuzaki thought, following through with the swing and feeling quite foolish. “It’s over already? Wait…” An expression of shock flew across his face as the earth trembled and a huge, nightmare-inducing figure arose from a sled and advanced menacingly toward the burly brigand.
“I… probably shouldn’t be here…” Ryu thought. “But… He’s going to die… But I…” Paralyzed by indecision, Ryuzaki stood, shivering in terror, as the fiend loomed closer. In awe, the scrawny thief watched as the two exchanged blows. Suddenly, the brigand was cut -- and it looked bad. Ryuzaki sprang into action. He gave a terrified but bold yell as he dove through the huge fiend’s legs, rolling and emerging in a crouch behind him with sword at the ready.
“Hey, lard-gut! I’m over here,” Ryuzaki shouted, before backpedaling out of range. An inspiration struck him, and he quickly shoved some snow into a ball and hurled it, sending it flying into the back of the huge man’s head.

Orceleous was speechless when he saw Santa Claws thrust. He had never seen anything move so fast in his life. He originally thought that Butorega was fast, but now he knew he was slow. The attack from the jolly man had forced the brigand to his knees.
This is bad thought Orcleous to himself. He needed to do something. He was not sure how powerful the other man was, but from what he could tell by the way he coward in front of the jolly man not powerful enough. Still something had to be done. If he just let him finish off the brigand he would be next. If he charged however he could die. As he stared at what could be his death the legendary words of his old mentor appeared in his head. "One truly has not lived till another attempts to take their life, and in that moment that person knows what life truly is. Prove your existence by struggling to live another day. The coward dies a thousand times while the warrior only dies once."
"I am alive", shouted Orcleous as he rushed in and stuck at the jolly man.

As Ryuzaki prepared another snowball, he saw a blur of crimson, and the kid he’d helped earlier rushed in and hacked at the big man. “What… What on earth is he thinking?” Ryuzaki’s reasonable side wondered.
“Hey, kid! Get out of there! You’ll be no use if you’re slaughtered… Remember, a dead hero’s still dead!” Ryu’s mouth yelled. Shaking his head, and keeping his distance, Ryuzaki hurled another snowball.

Hal went to the dead reindeer. Lynessa watched him and sympathize as his spear decorated the corpse with many holes. Each stabs carried his sorrow, anger, and vengeance for his dead partner. Sadly, it wasn't the right time to attack something that have already dead, those midget devils glared at the fighters with their wicked eyes. And as another roar from the other reindeer reminded her that she would have to face this one. "It seems I have to dance with you, monster. But you are not mine. Someone deserve to get you more than me..." she muttered as she glanced at the wyvern rider. She approached him and placed a hand on his shoulder as she spoke. "Young man...Stop that...The monster is already dead, stabbing repeatedly it won't make it more dead. I can understand your feeling but it should be directed to the other deer!" The dragon felt bad to force him to fight again. But this is battlefield where losses were expected, he had t move on.
Before the elves could swarm her, Hal and Lisa, the dragon whipped them away with her tail. It wouldn't have enough force to kill but at least gave them enough space to move. The dragon then closed her eyes and drew more power, all of her remaining power, from the dragon stone. The air around her began freezing as bright blue light illuminated the area around her, Lynessa herself was swallowed by the light. Her glowing body gradually lost its humanoid shape to return to its true form. When the light became faint and finally faded, people would find that the violet-haired woman had disappeared, instead they would see a big blue dragon stood in where she had been. Her eyelids opened, showing a pair of emerald green eyes, as she let out a roar much louder than the last one.
"Young man...if you still want your vengeance then you can come with me. I want to end this chaos and kill the mastermind quickly but..." The dragon tilted her head and glared at Satan Claws. "....I think I will go for his pet first. You may have your chance to avenge your friend soon." Lynessa talked with voice that was deeper and heavier in this dragon form. Her tail circled around Hal and Lisa to protect them.

"So, what are these things anyways? Little human doohickers with wumbly numpens and bop boppers and fizzly wumpnumps." Elias muttered as he watched the elves be disgusting, and kinda cute at the same time. Sure they were murdering and eating the flesh of the fallen and bathing in the blood of their enemies, but they were just so darn little. He saw a flash of red on the horizon, aw yeah. Someone knows how to dress! Really, it should not be as hard as it is to find people in red out there. It's clearly the best color, also that chick is totally bleeding and junk. Which is less than good, he'd place it somewhere in the 'bad' territory. "Hey Mana, I'll be back! Gotta go do some healing!" He called to the swordswoman probably doing something important, but Elias wasn't paying attention so maybe she was chilling and drinking some tea.
He patted demon on the head and pulled on his reins as the horse took off at full gallop, this was quite the distance to traverse but with a horse it all felt much smaller, especially one as quick as demon here. Aw, who's a good abomination against all that lives? You are! You are demon! You'll totally get some apples after this. Or hell, maybe carrots. OR BOTH. Such decadence is reserved for kings! There was what looked like a giant shag carpet, or the moose head before it was cut off and made into a moose head laying on the ground. It was gross, but y'know whatever. There were also more elves but, y'know, those were everywhere so it wasn't very exciting. How many elves were there all together anyways? It feels like everyone has killed like three but somehow there's just as many as there were when they started as if there was no cosmic entity keeping track how many died.
Well regardless, he was here to heal the wounded and this lady, well she was on the verge of winning the wound contest. "Hey there, stand... oh man are those gremlins coming this way? Crud, well stand still I'll heal you." He said as he cast a casual look into the distance. He paid it no mind, however, as he held his staff up and did the usual healing yadda yadda, closing her wounds bringing flesh to the fleshless, you know that good stuff. Her wounds were worse than the average wounds, but he was able to heal them handily enough and with decent swiftness. She didn't look very accustomed to fighting, which was crazy since it felt like half the people fighting have never fought a battle before in their life yet somehow the elves were taking it easy on them or something. When Mana fights, however, they are clearly capable of holding their own. He would be interested if he wasn't so busy making sure everyone doesn't die.
"You good? Good." He held his staff over his shoulder and arcane energies began to gather, thrusting it into the air in front of him and unleashing the magic. A blast of pure lightning erupted from the skies yards away, smiting one of the elves that were currently hobbling towards to them. It wasn't enough to kill, naturally, but it was a potshot with no fear of retribution. Y'know, like heroes do. "Imma go heal someone else, try not to die." He told her before galloping off.

Hal heard the woman but he tried to pretend to ignore her. He kept pulling back and thrusting his lance, hoping that it could feel each stab in the afterlife. Then she had transformed into a dragon?! He stopped in awe, she was... beautiful. He remembers the dream he had where he was the wyvern and Elesia was his rider, but that dream doesn't compare to what he just witnessed. How was this possible? According to the legends after their defeat dragons had left this world, yet one stood right in front of him, was this some sort of magic? Hal walked as if he was in a trance, which he was, he placed his hand on her side and ran it across the side of her belly. So majestic, so beautiful. Wyverns were awesome, but this is... just wow... holy cow. So all dragons hasn't fled from Elibe, they've been in hiding aside the humans pretending to be humans. Does that mean that one kid he met a while back was one, and Sol knew it and tried to fight him to show dominance? "You're so... beautiful..." Hal was unsure how to combat it seeing how it could fly and he couldn't. "I... I can't... I barely know how to fight... plus, it can fly and I can't."

"Pitiful" the formerly jolly man bellowed. "Given one last chance for redemption for being naughty you blood thirsty humans came charging in, weapons drawn attacking. Once you all poured into here very few of you tried to work together, divided you stand united you will fall" In the background he heard something he never would have imagined, a dragon had shown up. It looks like those naughty humans couldn't drive them all away after all. Now was the time to really thin out their numbers, before he could finish off the loud mouth his friend came rushing to his aid with a weapons, unlike the one throwing snowballs. Lowing his arm with the axe head on it he blocked the attack, shoving backwards to knock the kid on his back. Now his thunderous stomps was heading in Orcleous's direction. He pulled back his lance ready to pierce his tiny body.

Ryuzaki readied a final snowball, maintaining a safe distance from the large, angry brute. Suddenly, he saw the kid he'd literally JUST saved getting knocked on his back.
"This looks bad," Ryuzaki thought. "I guess I'll have to help again." Knowing that it would count, he threw his snowball and watched as it flew straight and true toward the huge man's eyes!
Bursting into action, Ryuzaki sprinted forward and dropped into a slide, shooting under the axe head and past the angry, demonic villain, grabbing and pulling the red soldier with him.
"C'mon, kid. Up! Let's go... If we keep moving, we can take him out!" Seeing that he had safely rescued his ally, Ryuzaki ran toward the brute like a flying javelin, leapt into the air, pushed off of the villain's arm as if it was a spring-board, and somersaulted upwards, drawing his sword at the top of his arc and cleaving through the air down toward the huge man's unprotected head.

There was a large commotion that was going on nearby, as Elias turned his head to see and- oh, oh geez. That's a big fella. Must be this 'satin clause' or whatever he went be, which would be the dude that sent those letters that told them to come in the first place. You see, a bit unlike the other gremlins and fur shag rugs running around, this was a big dude who probably meant big trouble. Meanwhile the guy he was marching towards was a little dude that looked like a precious babbu in terms of combat. Which means that barring some intervention from above, he's gonna go splatsville. Elias was a staunch protector of the young, and incredibly stupid. This kid was both. There was two other folk too, a sneaky sneaky sort that ran like mollasses through the snow and some big bleeding brute bathed in blood but being a barely better battler. Still he was, like, dying and stuff and Elias probably should fix that. He wasn't a fan of bandit types, which the axe dude clearly was, but 'tis the season and whatever and Elias was feeling generous.
Now what to do? There was three people that needed help, some big baddy that could probably murder Elias to death if he got too close, and his staff could realistically only save one of them. Holy Maiden thou art supremely cool, but also limited as hell in some ways. It could 'rescue' one of them, or it could 'warp' himself right into the satin man's face. But he was a mage, soft and squishy and none too capable of eating weapons to the face. He could use his electrical magicness to try and divert the man's attention but then he's got a big beefy baddy tailing him and that made things hard in the healing department. Also death. Seriously though, what were those kids thinking? Can't they realize that he's CLEARLY out of their league? Even if they joined hands and sang campfire songs about friendship, he'd just cut them in half. Hell, he's clearly out of Elias' league as well! Him and Mana would have to team up to try and take something like that down. Maybe bandit boy too, considering he's not bleeding out at the time.
Aw hell, that's a good point. He NEEDS to heal bandit man if they want a chance to win. That solves that. Maybe after he's done, he can bolt the satin man and catch his attention so as to not MURDER the dumb kids. Then he, newly healed bandit boyo, and Mana could triple team him while the others work to keep the Gremlins and shag carpets away and stuff. Hell, he was pretty sure even if they tried to help that their weapons would just, like, shatter on the dude's body.
So Elias started to put his plan into motion, he swapped out his mend staff for the Holy Maiden, as is such as needed in a super special emergency like this. He held it up into the air, and it released what looked like little green particle thingies. He pointed in the air towards the bandit, seeking to 'rescue' him and teleport him next to Elias, so that he can use the staff to heal him back to full.

The dragon had heard the noises and the attacks as he wandered through the Berniese area. Sighing to himself, he ran a hand over his face as he considered. Trust this to happen the one day he decided to wander out of Ilia. However, something had been nagging at him for the past hour now that he just couldn't quite shake. And so, with a cautious step, he advanced towards the arena. He had ignored the sounds, wanting to just go on by and just not worry about it, but something was telling him to go. To go and do something about whatever was happening.
It was only upon entering the arena did the dragon find out just what had been calling him. Another dragon. Another ICE dragon. He stopped to stare before a wide eyed smile crossed his face as he stepped in. Anything he had intended to say however, died in his throat as he watched the ice dragon protecting the other humans. Interesting.
He stepped into the arena fully as his dragonstone amulet swayed outside of his robe after pulling it out. Spreading his arms wide, his voice called out to the dragon. "Come sister in ice! Let us show this creature just what happens when you mess with us!" And with a roar, his body glowed before shifting and in an instant, a white scaled dragon stood in his place. Lowering himself into a defensive posture, the now realized dragon growled at the beast before him, clear blue eyes glinting in an unflinching manner.
