Name: Gabriel Zobek
Class: Halberdier
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Hazel
Age: 34
Appearance:
Gabriel is a tall man, standing around 6' 2" with straight chestnut hair of mid-length, reaching down to just above his shoulders. He's also in great physical condition, though he retains a couple of scars on his body from his time as a soldier of Etruria. Overall, Gabriel looks very much the part of a military man who's been at it for a great length of time.
-Clothes:
Aside from his armor, Gabriel dresses mostly in black. For his armor, Gabriel wears thick plates that cover his upper body, as well as a crimson red armored coat with it's own set of armored pauldrons. He also wears a belt around his waist, bearing a skull belt buckle and multiple hooks and other additions that he's added over the years. On his arms he wears a leather gauntlet on his right and a clawed and thickly armored gauntlet on his left which he utilizes for a unique style of blocking and deflection. On his feet he wears a pair of armored boots as well. Overall, he looks the part of a very high class mercenary.
Born in: Etruria
Story:
Gabriel Zobek is the son of Edward Zobek and older brother to Iadra Zobek and Sonia Zobek. When Gabriel was a younger man, he always took great pride in his father's accomplishments and the Zobek family name. In that regard, Gabriel followed his father's footsteps into the military, but was also set on distinguishing himself from Edward. Gabriel was of a very martial mindset in terms of combat and preferred to train and battle extensively with a variety of weapons, including a couple of more exotic weapons that didn't usually see use in combat on the battlefield. In a manner of speaking, Gabriel trained in order to become a "Weapon Master" that could essentially pick up and wield any weapon on the battlefield with skill.
Gabriel served Etruria and the royal family loyally and was distrustful of the Prophet that had appeared in Etruria. However, 1 year after Kraft rose to power, sweeping changes started to effect all branches of Etruria. The military branch was certainly not left untouched as well. Edward Zobek was forced to step down and so too was Gabriel. However, unlike Edward who'd mostly held his tongue and had been forced to simply resign, Gabriel had been a much more vocal opponent, telling anyone that would listen to him about how the Prophet was a false preacher that couldn't be trusted. Due to the Zobek family prestige, a simple choice was laid before Gabriel. Either he could face execution for high treason against both the Church and the State or he could leave Etruria and never return.
Though rash, Gabriel was not a stupid man. He knew that regardless of his choice, the Prophet would try to kill him. Regardless, he chose to go into exile and left Etruria behind. Knowing that assassins would be sent after himself, Gabriel took careful steps to conceal his tracks and has so far managed to fend off or kill the ones that have managed to find him. Occasionally, he sends letter back to his family in Etruria via a trusted friend or merchant, never mentioning where he is, but always letting them know that he's alive and well. Primarily, Gabriel makes a living as a mercenary and monster hunter, traveling around Elibe and waiting for the right moment to make his return to Etruria and remove Kraft from power in a permanent fashion.
