Name: Roin "Valor"
Class: Yeoman
Hair Color: Dark Green
Eye Color: Dark Blue
Age: 26
Appearance: Roin facially is rather average for a Sacaen male, holding the sharp eyes from his father's lineage. The tattoo over his left eye appears to be done over a birthmark, changing the mark into an almost wyvern-like design. Unlike most Sacaens, however, Roin has no ear piercings, often hiding his ears beneath his long, green hair. Aside from these slight variations, he's known to most Sacaens as a forgettable face. Standing slightly above six foot, he's clearly a physical dynamo of a Sacaen, his slightly longer legs marking him as a more than capable swordsman and a Rider, but it was highly unlikely that the swordsman could ride a horse into battle based along his poise, marking him clearly as a footman by stance alone.
Clothes: The traditional robes of the Sacaen swordsman, Roin's clothes don't seem very out of place until one examines them. His swordsman robe is a deep green matching his hair, the trim a bright orange. The robe falls past his knees, splitting at the waist to reveal matching green pants. Wearing black, tall boots, it's clear that he wields a sword like many Sacaen origin, the belt around his waist holding a hitch hook on both sides for swords or even quivers. Over his robe, he wears a leather, light armor bandoleer with a few pouches and ending with a steel, layered pauldron. On the back of the bandoleer strap is a sliding noose for either a bow or an even larger sword. On the opposite shoulder, however, is a heavier-set bandolier, holding a rugged double-plate guard, not a durable as his other shoulder but far more protective in terms of force and coverage.
Born in: Sacae
Story: Born to a Lorca swordsman and a Pegasus Knight of Ilia, Roin was raised originally by his mother in Ilia. His mother was surprised at having a son, however, getting him a tattoo during his youth to try and make him feel at one with the Pegasi-cultured nation by making him dislike the Wyverns, his tattoo symbolizing him as an enemy to them. However, when he was still only a boy, his mother was killed in battle with rogue Wyvern Riders, leaving him orphaned and without a home. It was at this time that his father, on a trip to find his mother, discovered the young Roin on the street and later the news of his late lover.
Roin and his father returned to Sacae, where his father had grown to be a high-standing swordsman among the Lorca. Despite his position however, Roin's father was careful to let him train with the Lorca, often sending Roin off to aid the many allies of the Lorca tribe. During this part of his childhood, Roin had given up the teachings his mother had been pressing into him, forgetting about his inbred hatred toward Wyvern to the point that, when the occasional one arrived, he wanted to watch and talk to the Knight.
When Roin came of age, he left his tribe in search of something greater, taking up a profession as a sell-sword in his mother's land of Ilia. It was here that he began to search into his own past, remembering little of the icy land that had raised his mother and, briefly, him. During this time, he stumbled upon his mother's old village and through that her grave. It was as he read the tombstone that Roin was able to recall the hatred for Wyvern. After all, they had been the killers of his mother. It was then that Roin took an oath to find those responsible for his mother's death.
It wasn't until many years later, with his swordsmanship refined and a new-found skill for a bow that Roin eventually tracked down the older men. In the ancient art of Ilia and Sacaen archers alike, he struck all three down from the skies, sealing the revenge for his late mother and finally extinguishing the very hatred that had likely got his mother killed. Knowing full well he'd never find a true home among his father, however, he set off from his mother's village to begin exploring the land of Elibe. If a son of Ilia and Sacae could forgive the Wyvern, then perhaps he would see more strange, unique sights among the world. As he set out, he gave up his last name, taking the name of Valor in dedication to the same attribute his mother had shown and now him. She had faced three opponents and so had he. Bravery would be his fuel, however, rather than hatred as his mother had used.
