Name: Katja
Class: Mage
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Age: 19?
Appearance: A svelte young woman with a pleasing face. She braids her hair, as it is the only way her father will allow her to wear it long.
Clothes: The folds of her oft-cowled robe hide her face, on her father's orders. She ties a colorful ribbon in her hair in quiet rebellion against her father's oppressive reign on her life.
Born in: Ilia
Story: Katja's father, Ammanas, tells her he found her abandoned in a snowy forest, a babe in swaddling clothes left to die. Cursed, he called her, and cursed she is. He brought her up with as little contact with people as possible, as he told her everything she touched would turn to ash. he made her fear herself, the world, and most of all, him.
Katja and Ammanas moved to the wilderness of Bern , so she grew up alone in the woods, the animals as her playmates. As soon as she was able to take care of herself, her father was often away on "business". She grew to love the sharp mountains that hid the wooded vale from the outside world. A caravan once traveled through her forest, their wagons and horses upsetting the quiet flow of life. She swung from tree to tree, observing the mysterious things she and her father looked so much like. Formidable though they looked, they never once noticed her. She knew not to be seen.
The days her father was home were the worst of her life. He would drill her in history and other subjects she oft neglected, and constantly remind her that she was unwanted and a burden to him. Nineteen years of oscillating loneliness and oppression left her detached, and the strong yearning to see the outside world was now only a whisper.
She worked up some small amount of courage as of late, rebelling against her father in small ways. She was most recently teaching herself to use a bow a clumsy trader dropped on the path through the woods when she heard the shrieking of her father. He told her that he had a special gift for her, and if she was a good girl, she would get to see it.
