Hal had told himself he needed Elesia but the truth was she needed him as much as he needed her. He had questioned himself about a lot of things, he's been lucky so far that it's been minor events the two ran into. If he was to be there for her truly he would have to confront his past mistakes where it all started, Seatol, his home. Normally Hal had Elesia sitting behind him, this time he kept her sitting in front, wrapping his arms around her as he held the reigns.
If he didn't keep her behind him like he normally did because having her in front was a reminder of why he was doing this, he knew he couldn't work up the nerve to do it alone. Hal could see the town in the distance, he had began to hold her tighter and he commanded Sol to fly down. They landed near the town in a forest as the sun was setting. "Wait here" Hal commanded to both Elesia and Sol, he wasn't sure if the rebel army spotted them and if they did, he wanted to make sure Elesia would be safe. Hal then moved as stealthy as he could to make sure the coast was clear.

Completely unburdened by what was bothering Hal and not paying enough attention to notice it in the first place, Elesia hummed along as they flew, swapping tunes randomly as she remembered different songs she had heard in the past. Hal hadn't been very talkative lately but she assumed he was just busy flying and stuff, she had no idea how to fly but DAMMIT she was starting to think it would be a useful skill. But people normally didn't fly... but since when was she held back by the chains of normality? She considered cackling madly but it seemed like a bad idea at the time for reasons unknown. She had to practice her maniacal laughter anyways, it wasn't nearly blood-curdling or bone-chilling or soul-shattering enough. Yet.
Oh hey they were kinda near a town! Maybe for once they could go into civilization and NOT have to fight off stupid dead people or giant spiders or whatever other kinds of weird critters the world had pooped out. She assumed they were, like, refugees from the butt of the world or something, 'cuz they smelled bad and looked bad. For some reason Hal wanted to be all sneaky-huntey. She didn't really get it, so Elesia just nodded and patted Sol on the head while trusting her truly impressive powers of patience to last for the doubtless very short amount of time that it would take Hal to finish scouting for bad guys and all that stufOKAY she was bored now.

It didn't take for the boy to navigate through the forest to find the exit near the town, after all he used to play here when he was a little kid. If Elesia could see him move, she'd say he was like a ninja-bear or something like that, he was shocked at how quickly and quietly he moved in that armor. He used some low hanging branches as well as a bush to hide in, this vantage point gave him the perfect view of his house, as he looked in that direction he saw the door shutting as somebody went in, it was a shame he couldn't catch who it was. He didn't really see anything out of the ordinary, people were living their life normally and he didn't see a soldier. Letting out a sigh of relief as he turned back, now all he had to do was get Elesia and he could be on his merry way to his home.
This time Hal didn't hide his movements, he was more focused on getting to Elesia then back to his home. He would be lying if he said he wasn't excited to see everybody again. "Elesiaaaaaa!" Hal almost shouted when he almost made it back to the clearing she was waiting with Sol in.

"Meeeeeee," she responded with gusto at Hal's shouting of her name. He seemed in a really good mood all of a sudden. Had he eaten? WITHOUT HER? Or maybe he was happy for some other reason, though Elesia couldn't really think of anything other than food that would make someone that happy. 'Cept magic, but Hal was a neanderthal who couldn't do magic, that was her job in between bouts of being amazing. "I'd be excited to see me too but I thought we were supposed to be super sneaky and stuff?"
Not that she was actually complaining, being super quiet was really boring. She just wanted to share her burning love with everyone. Preferably with fire. Hopping off Sol and patting his head one last time while in midair because she was just THAT GOOD, Elesia plopped to the ground and scampered in Hal's direction, eager to NOT be sitting bored forever. "So what's the... the SITCH?" she asked, imitating what she had heard from some official sounding guy once. Apparently sitch mention situation. She didn't see how that worked, people were dumb with words, but it still sounded kinda cool.

Hal wasn't sure what she was talking about, heck most of the time he didn't understand what she was trying to say but that didn't matter. What did matter was she was always there for him since they met, it was his turn to be there for her but in order for him to do that he had to put his mind to rest, he had to own up to his mistakes and see what they had done so he could build his confidence again. Grabbing her hand he started to lead her to the town. "Back in Lycia I heard the town was controlled by the rebels, I wanted to avoid conflict so I scouted ahead to make sure it was safe, and it is!" It didn't take Hal long before the duo had made it to the edge of the forest where Hal hid in the bushes and it still showed no signs of any armed forces. Hal paid no attention to the people in the streets, his sights were set on his home.
Now he was standing at the door, his stomach was full of butterflies, did he just walk in or knock? Why did he even ask himself that? Even though he was the wayward son this was still his home, reaching out he turned the door knob and pushed it open. He wasted no time dragging Elesia in behind him and shutting the door. He saw a girl with brown hair standing there with her back turned, he recognized that brown hair, it was his little sister Destiny.
She turned around in such surprise of the door suddenly opening and shutting, everybody was already home so who could it be? No, it couldn't be her imagination, it really was him, she dropped the plate she was holding onto. It broke as soon as it crashed onto the floor, she was speechless, she stared in awe for only a moment before she began to run towards Hal. "HAL!" the girl threw her arms around him as tears of joy began to roll down her face.
Seeing his sister's reaction to his homecoming was priceless, there wasn't anything in the world that could match that. Hal let go of Elesia's hand as his sister approached him and returned the hug. As the two held each other Destiny had asked who was with him. "Go get everybody, I want to see them too."

"What rebels," Elesia mumbled to no one in particular as she followed the apparently-very-excited Hal back to hell, or the end of the universe, or wherever he was taking them. Were they like zombies or whatever? What were they rebelling against? Showers? The cruel and uncalled for mistreatment of proud and noble bears by hunter scum? Seriously, he was like a man possessed. She didn't even have time to really get an idea of what the village was like, or people watch, or even set anything on fire! The errant mage settled for waving wildly while grinning like a retard to several of the people they passed, not recognizing any of them but kinda caught up in the moment - it felt like they were going on an ADVENTURE and stuff. Or maybe he was going to cook and eat her.
...That put a small damper on her mood. But Hal didn't LOOK that hungry... and he needed her around to burninate stuff. So it probably wasn't that. Turned out to be a house, with a door, and people inside. Which wasn't really that unusual as houses and doors and people went, but they seemed to know and like Hal for some reason, god knows why she didn't really get it... as usual. But they were definitely happy to see him. And not her. It was a little deflating to be that irrelevant, honestly. The brat inside her helpfully suggested setting something - or someone - on fire to fix that, but what little common sense Elesia had ever had screamed at her to not do anything retarded - yet - and barely won out in the end.
She was still confused as hell, though, and everyone seemed super happy but she wasn't sure if she was supposed to be happy. Tugging at Hal's sleeve, she looked askance at him, actually a little reserved for once in her life. "Are they, like, friends of yours?"

"Hold on a second!" The girl said as she let go and ran off into another room. Hal felt Elesia tug at his sleeve, he turned towards her to be asked if they were like his friends, or something. He nodded in response, "No, that was my sister. This was, no is my home. The other people you're going to meet is my family." "TAADAAAA!" It wasn't long before Destiny had returned, Hal turned to see his mother standing behind his sister, hands cupped in front of her mouth as she stood there crying. The last time she saw him he was still a boy, the Hal standing in front of her was a young man, the last thing she had heard about him was that he got into a scuffle with the mayor's son.
He was now wearing armor, was he in the army or something? And to her surprise there was a girl with him. She began to walk towards him holding her arms out, Hal began to do the same and the two started to embrace each other midway. Hal couldn't tell if she was happy to see him, or sad by the way she was crying. "Where's dad?" The two stepped back, his mother wiped away tears and avoided his gaze and quickly changed the subject. "And who might this lovely lady be?" She stepped around Hal and moved towards Elesia. "Is your girlfriend? Wife? Oh dear god, do I have grandchildren? Please say you didn't come home because I'm a grandma, I'm still too young to have grandchildren." Hal turned around blushing, "No mom, this is Elesia and we're just friends." She let out a sigh of relief as she raised her left hand to her chest. "Oh goodness, don't scare me like that Hal." His mother looked at the two then Destiny. "Finish setting the table Destiny, then get the others. I'm sure Hal and Elesia is hungry. We were about to have supper, would you two like to join us?"

"...I want a family," she returned morosely. It looked like fun. Turning to Hal with shining eyes, she perked up instantly, putting on her begging face. "Can I be in yours?" Yessss this was one hundred gorillion percent absolutely guaranteed to work and nothing could possibly go wrong. It was probably for the best that Elesia was clueless enough to not have any idea what sort of implications her question might bring. Not that it mattered, or that her attention span lasted that long, as more people showed up, a taller lady who apparently also knew Hal and stuff and talked to him.
Most of it went over her head entirely, same as everything else - girlfriend and wife both sounded dumb and stupid and also dumb, whatever they were - but any mention of food was enough to instantly garner Elesia's undying eternal loyalty, and this situation was no exception. "FOOD!" she crowed excitedly, grinning from ear to ear without restraint... but, uh, if Hal actually liked these people, maybe she should check with him. Turning back to Hal, which she seemed to be doing a lot of, and when had she turned away anyways, Elesia lowered her voice to merely an excited conversational tone. "Um, is that okay?" It was pretty clear from her excited expression and return back to the begging face that she wanted the answer to be yes, but she was trying her best to be considerate, or whatever it was called when you pretended to care about what other people thought. She didn't want to start trouble for him, Hal was like the only person who had been nice to her when she came out of the forest.

Hal nodded as his sister ran off once again. "Yea, it's been a long time since I had a home cooked meal anyways." Hal lead Elesia over to the table as his mother walked over to the pot over the fire, Hal had been caught up in the emotional reunion to notice the smell of her cooking. The pot didn't look too big, he hoped they weren't imposing on everybody. "You two can sit anywhere you'd like, you're the guests of honor tonight. We're having beef stew." YES! Hal loved his mother's beef stew, it was soooo good and since they couldn't always afford it, the meal was extra special to him. Hal pulled out Elesia's chair and pushed it in as she sat before taking his own next to her. It didn't take long before his little brother and sisters to come running into the room, they were all excited to see Hal again, along with the pretty girl with him. They all fought to sit to the open seat next to him, it was Destiny that won that right.
He wasn't too surprised when he didn't see his older brother and sister join them, they probably moved out and started their own family. One thing that did shock him was the absence of his father, he always remembered his parents loving each other too much for him just to split, was he working double shifts again to support everybody? His father was too stubborn to let his wife work, he thought the man should provide for his family no matter what but that didn't sound likely since his mother dodged his question earlier. His mother called his brother over to help serve everybody, he would hand it to one sibling and they passed it down till it got to Elesia, and repeated until everybody had a bowl. "So Hal, what happened that day, what happened to you afterwards?" Hal's mother put him on the spot before he could even ask about his father.
That was a subject he would rather not talk about, but this was his family he should be able to talk about anything with them. "I was out doing something, I don't remember exactly, but I ran into James and his goon squad. They were hurting a wyvern pup that must have wondered from it's nest. I don't know what got into me but I attacked them, I didn't think at all. After they ran off I took it to where I remember I saw a wyvern a few days before." Hal paused to eat a bit of the stew, as he would do a few times as he talked. "After I got it home I realized what I had done, I killed James so I ran away. I spent a few months drifting around doing odd jobs before I joined the Bernese army. You know how I always loved wyverns? Yea, I thought I would actually be able to ride one in it so I joined, not too long after I did that the civil war broke out. I was still in boot camp when they sent my unit into battle, we were the closest troops and needed aid badly. I had met a girl named Sarah, we quickly became friends but she had sided with the rebels.
After that battle I was sent off to another camp, that's where I couldn't bare possibly fighting people I knew and cared about so I ran away again to Lycia. I was there for a couple of years before I saw some girl being chased into the woods by some bad men, I went to help her, she ended up going crazy and killing them all before running off. I wondered through the woods until I found a town where I met Elesia. Some guy was trying to start a fight with me, I left and Elesia followed me out, we started to talk and became friends. It wasn't too long after that when some... Monsters, they looked like people but they weren't. They're skin was rotting and they were... scary, they attacked the town and the two of us helped the town guard defeat them. I thought I was going to die, that's when out of nowhere a wyvern came out of the sky and killed off the few remaining monsters. Before I passed out I realized I knew that wyvern, it was the same pup that I saved from James years before. A week passed as I recovered, after that I tamed Sol and the three of us went to another town to look for somebody's family. It was over ran by those monsters as well, with the help of others we saved that town as well. After that I heard some people say I was 'The Wings of Courage', it's funny thinking about how many times I ran away from my problems. It wasn't too long after that we decided to come here."
It was like a great weight was lifted from Hal's shoulders, it was the first time he had ever spoke of that day to anybody, he still doesn't know how it effected his family as well. "Oh yea, did you guys get the stuff I sent? I thought it was safer to send things that you could sell instead of gold." Everybody was silent as he spoke, Hal could see the interest in his siblings eyes as he spoke of the undead. His mother smiled as she nodded. "Yes dear, you don't know how much that helped us. I really appreciate you thinking of us and doing so much to help even though you weren't around. So Elesia, where are you from?" It was as if all eyes were now on Elesia, everybody waiting to hear her story. Come to think of it, Hal knew as much about her past as she knew about his, nothing.

Oh god that smelled so GOOD she wanted to just dive in and swim in it, and eat it, and swim in it while eating it. And then maybe eat some more. She mutely followed Hal and his mother into the house and to the table, uncharacteristically quiet in a futile attempt to not embarass the crap out of Hal. She kinda tried to hide her feet behind each other after realizing they were pretty grubby... going barefoot everywhere didn't really help much with that, but it wasn't like she spent much of her time trying to look presentable. WHATEVER.
And why were there so many tiny people here? Uh. Wait. Those were children. So they were his family? He had a big family. She counted... the tall lady, the sister, a little dude, and some little girls? They were all excited and moved around a bunch, she was having trouble counting them, but it was an interesting atmosphere. Very - happy? Elesia wasn't gonna pretend to totally understand the vibe, there was something more to it than she could easily discern, but at least they seemed to really like Hal. She could dig that, she did too! It was kinda lonely though, she didn't even know if she had parents or had just erupted into existence as the ultimate bear-human hybrid.
Elesia took her stew with a smile, partially at the thought of food, partially at her decision on her backstory explanation. If she ever wrote a book, the first chapter was going to be alllll about how she had bear powers. Also god DAMN that soup stuff was good. Completely clueless on the difference between soup and stew, she tried to eat it with something resembling reserve, failing utterly due to the delicious taste and wolfing it down like a wild animal.
She had no idea what 'that day' was but apparently Hal did, he started off on some story that had her completely lost within a couple sentences. Who was James? What was a pup? Sol was a wyvern, so she at least knew what that meant. And what was an army? Civil war? Elesia didn't like being left out of the loop, but she had to admit she was COMPLETELY lost, even more so than usual. She could figure out some of the stuff from context - he kept talking about troops and units as fighting, so apparently that was what he called fighting groups, but why was he fighting people he knew and liked? What did a civil war even entail? The feral mage didn't like how it sounded, she didn't know what it meant but she felt like it was something bad.
At least the parts after he got to Lycia kinda made sense. She hadn't known much of that either, at least before he met her, but it was kinda cool to have a recap of her adventures. Well, her and Hal's adventures. Elesia frowned at Hal's last comment in his story, it sounded too much like he was putting himself down, and HEROES didn't do that. And for some reason, Hal's mom's not answering his question was weird too. She didn't really get most of this... but she felt like there was something bad going on.
Without much else of an idea of what to do, she nudged Hal, smiling encouragingly. "You don't have wings, but you DID save me, and that's pretty couragey to me!"
Aaaaand then she got dragged into the conversation and shut up immediately. Why did they want to know? She wasn't ashamed of it, exactly, but Elesia had learned the hard way that telling people straight up got her some pretty weird stares, and while she usually didn't care... she didn't really want Hal's family looking at her like that too. She looked down to her mostly eaten stew soup, trying to think of an actual answer, then remembered that thinking was hard and decided to wing it. "I was in, um, Hal said it was Lycia, so I guess Lycia?" Not exactly the most rousing of starts to a story, but she could work with that. "Um, it's mostly what he said, but he's really good at fighting and stuff, we saved each other's butts a bunch while fighting all the stupid dead people..." Starting to get into her story, Elesia looked up, her voice starting to take on a more familiar, lively tone.
"There was a whole TOWN of them once, we met a bunch of weird people there, and one of them smelled really weird and made Sol mad! The other one stuck with us for a bit but I think he got lost underground while we were finding hidden treasures and stuff, actually there was two of them that were probably eaten by the cave guardian or something, and we even met a lady that rose a flying horse!" Her eyes were shining by this point, like a little kid, but something she had said caught her a second later and Elesia continued in a more dismissive tone before building back up. "I mean... it wasn't anywhere near as cool as Sol, wyverns rule and horses drool, but the girl riding it was pretty and smart and nice, and she helped us find a... I don't remember what she called it but it was a music thing and she was going to fix it, and said I could visit her sometime!"

Hal gave Elesia a small glare when she said something about him not having wings before he started to hide his blushing face when she talked about how he saved her. It's not like it's his fault, she was the one who wouldn't budge and he couldn't just leave her. He wasn't sure if she took time to breath as she was eating or even had a chance to even taste the stew, but when was that any different for Elesia. It didn't take her long to talk about the one kid Sol was ready to eat, he still felt bad he couldn't do more to stop Sol but oh well, no reason to lose sleep over it. Elesia even talked about Elisabeth, it seemed like she talked about everything except before they met which made Hal a tad bit upset. "It was a harp" Hal said with a mouth full of food. "HAL! I thought you better than that, don't talk with your mouth full." his mother barked out at him causing his siblings to giggle. 'Sorry' Hal murmured as his head dropped. Almost everybody was finished eating at this point, Hal's mother told the others to wash up and go play in the other room and she had to talk to Hal about something.
Hal's mother looked upset once the children had left the room, which caused Hal to worry again. "Hal, about your father..." She paused to wipe away the tears that had began to well up in her eyes. "After that incident with James his friends drug him back to town, the told his father that you showed up out of nowhere and attacked them unprovoked and nearly killed James. His father was furious, he was out for blood, your blood. We all were under house arrest for a couple of days while they waited for you. When you never came home they grew tired of waiting so they had your father put in the stocks in the center of the town, branded as an accomplice to an attempted murder. They refused to feed him for days, anybody that tried to give him food was arrested as well, your older brother learned that the hard way. That night they were both killed, James' father claimed he didn't know who did it but they would find them. It was obvious they had them killed and covered it up. Mary and her husband left town after that, I guess she couldn't stand staying in the town that allowed her father and brother to be murdered, I can't blame her, I would have done the same if I had the money."
Hal's entire world came crashing down around him. His mistake, the one HE ran away from not only caused hardship for his family but got his brother and father murdered. He slumped down in his chair, his arms drooped to his sides as his chin now rested on his chest, he tried his hardest to fight the urge to cry. "It's... It's all my fault..." he mumbled as tears flowed down his checks. He didn't know how he was going to cope with knowing he killed two members of his family, even if he didn't physically do it himself. He was stupid, so stupid. How could he expect to protect Elesia knowing that he traded Sol's life for his brother and father's. "Hal, honey. Don't say that. He would be proud of you if he knew you were trying to save that wyvern pup from that sadistic kid." Hal only responded by shacking his head, he refused to believe anybody could be proud of him after what he caused.

Um.
Wow.
Not even she was dense enough to entirely miss what Hal's mom was talking about. The details were a little confusing - she still had no idea who James was, and a number of the words went above her head, but Elesia was bright enough to be able to piece together the missing pieces from context. She had never actually known her parents enough to miss them, it wasn't something that even registered to her, but... she would be pretty sad if she sudenly lost Hal, and she'd only known him for a few weeks now. He must have known his dad his entire life, and he didn't even get to say goodbye?
That was just... too cruel. She tried to look at the bright side of things when possible, and usually it wasn't too hard, but this was just... one of those things where not even she could think of an upside, and as seemed to be starting to happen a little more than she was comfortable with lately, Elesia found herself wordless to boot. What did you actually say to someone who just lost that much? A stupid joke? A fireworks display? The thought did cross her mind, but died stillborn, beaten down by what little common sense she did have.
Honestly, it was the... maybe second time she had ever actually been exposed to the ugly side of this world, and Elesia couldn't help but recoil from it. She hadn't even dreamed of the horrible things people did to each other, this was supposed to be civilization, not the forest. Animals eating each other was fine, but people were supposed to be... people? She had come to civilization expecting to meet interesting people and learn stuff, not end up in a world more crapsack than nature could spit out.
Impulsively, Elesia hopped from her chair onto Hal, wrapping him in a bear hug, completely lost for words but trying desperately to at least communicate that she was with him, or... or something, she couldn't think of anything better to do or figure out any way to fix the situation, this was the only thing she could even think of. "M'sorry," she mumbled in a muffled tone into his shoulder.

Hal was quickly falling into a depression, death was part of life but it always had this kind of effect when it's a person you know and love. The thought of turning himself in came into his mind, but Elesia had hopped into his lap wrapping her arms around him. He wrapped his arms around her as well, he tilted his head resting his check on top of her head as well. He sniffled as he told her it was okay, he was obviously lying to her but he didn't want her to be sad on his account.
His mother sat across the table from them looking on, she thought the two made an adorable couple, even if they weren't one according to Hal. Even with the state of mind he was currently in, she was excited to see her second oldest son home again, she hoped that he would stay for a while but she knew that wasn't going to happen. She had excused herself from the table and went into the other room. Hal never felt as if he was a hero, and now more so than ever. "Do you think I'm still a hero?" Hal asked Elesia.

So was this what Zach had been talking about? James and his bunch of baddies didn't sound like good guys... which side of the fight were they on, the rebels or the king? She was reminded also of what the Elder magic user had said... something about how not everyone on the other side was evil, they just didn't like the fighting. Was that being exemplified here? Were Hal and his family victims of the fighting, no one's fault, or was the situation more complex than Zach had described it?
She didn't think to question his words, exactly, but the seeds of doubt had been planted. Not in Zach so much as what little she understood of the situation; memories of Hal mentioning something about disliking the rebels came to midn as well for what they had done, and while Elesia was far from being able to articulate it, she was starting to come to the conclusion that no one would really 'win' here. Even if one side or another won the war, the damage done to the people would be too great to call it a true victory.
Or maybe she was just overthinking it. At least Hal was warm and soft (-ish, compared to the armor anyways), and sad, which was less gooder than the first two. "Yeah. There's - there's bad people in the world," she stumbled through her words, trying to think of something helpful to say in a situation she still only understood partially, "but they chose to be bad, not you, so it's not your fault that they did bad."

"But, as a hero isn't it my duty ensure they never do bad again?" Hal couldn't explain it, even though he was deeply sad, having Elesia in his lap trying to cheer him up made him... happy? He held her tighter now, then there was a loud banging at the door. His mother came from another room wondering who could be pounding at their door at this hour, she opened it and was talking to the people for a couple of minutes. Hal paid no attention to it, but he could swear one of the voices was familiar. It wasn't long before she closed the door and turned to him. "Hal... Sweetie... there's some people here to see you..." He could hear the distress in her voice, he knew something was wrong this time. Her tone plus the fact that he didn't have very many friends here and nobody knew he was back in town meant something bad was about to happen.
Hal got up and walked to the door with Elesia, he stopped in front of his mom who hugged him and held him tight. "I love you Hal, I always will, and I never blamed you for what happened. I'm going to miss you." Okay, now Hal was really starting to freak out. He opened the door and went outside only to see James and a bunch of soldiers, were these the rebels? He didn't see any signs of them a little while ago, where they hiding? "Look at what we have here. Hal Kailas, the coward that tried to kill me so many years ago. I see you still amount to nothing while I own this town, took the spot of mayor from my father and gave control to the rebels. It seems your judgement day is upon you, seize him." A woman stepped from behind James and stopped in awe when she saw Hal, he was equally as surprised as her. "S-Sarah?!"
"We heard reports of a wyvern flying overhead then a suspicious character entering this home. Lord James suggested that he knew who it was, we're placing you under arrest for attempted murder, evading arrest, and for being an Illian supporter. If you give yourself up peacefully I will personally ensure nothing happens to your family." Hal was unarmed, he left his lance with Sol so fighting back wasn't an option. He felt as if he could still trust Sarah, even if the two haven't seen each other in years and had different opinions on Bern. Hal spoke only loud enough for Elesia to hear him. "The essence of heroism is to die so others can live, I love you Elesia, please don't do anything stupid without me." He took a couple steps forward, "Okay, I trust you Sarah." James leaned over looking at the girl that was with Hal, he did fancy a pretty face. "Arrest the girl too, but take her to my estate."
Hal stopped walking once he heard James say that, Elesia didn't do anything wrong there was no reason arrest her too. Hal's family suffered enough because of him, he wasn't about to let the same thing happen to Elesia. As a couple of guards started to approach the girl something snapped, he wasn't about to allow ANYONE to touch her. It was long past the time where he put an end to that son of a bitch's life. James felt as if he was better than everyone else and could get away with stepping on who ever he pleased, the mistake Hal made wasn't the fact he ran, it was because he allowed somebody like that to live others were harmed, including his family. He balled up his fist as he took a step towards one of the guards and decked him, knocking him on the ground. It appeared the sucker punch worked, but that didn't help him too much. They were armed while he wasn't, but that wouldn't matter. As long as he drew breath he wasn't going to allow them to get past him.
A heavenly screech filled Hal's ears, everybody knew that sound as a wyvern, Hal knew it was Sol. There were two groups of people, Hal and Elesia then the others. Sol knew Hal and Elesia and Hal just punched some dude so they had to be the bad guys. Sol dove downwards with his talons out slamming a man down digging into his flesh. Hal took off towards Sol, he would even out the playing field a bit. Sarah had began to laugh "You think you're tough because you got a wyvern now Hal? You're not the only one who has one too, well if you want to call that a wyvern." With a whistle her own wyvern came flying in, it was much larger than Sol but that wasn't going to stop them. Hal was going to try to lure her away while trying to defend Elesia, it was going to be difficult but there isn't anything that is going to stop him from trying.
It didn't take Hal very much time to mount up. "Elesia, these people are the bad guys. Don't worry about hurting them."
