Pretty much the entire conversation went entirely over Elesia's head, she wasn't proud of it but she just didn't get what they were arguing about. She didn't even recognize James or Sarah, though not even she was dense enough to miss the coincidence of their names being similar to the ones from Hal's story. But Sarah was a friend, so this Sarah certainly couldn't be it... but Hal trusted her... while she didn't realize it Elesia miiight have been a little jealous when Hal said he trusted the poisonous wench and tried to turn himself in, but Hal seemed serious about her not doing anything stupid - please, everything she did was awesome, but she assumed he meant not to do anything awesome and had just accidentally used the wrong word.
Things went downhill from there, though, and pretty fast at that. Hal decked the schnozz out of someone and then Sol was there and him and Sarah were fighting - what happened to trusting her? Maybe that was Hal's brilliant master plan all along? All Elesia really knew was that Sarah seemed kind of like a female dog and that James was a total jerk, and possibly also undead, or at least he was ugly enough to be. She also got the feeling that Hal was hopping mad, which was enough to get her pretty mad too... she thought... or maybe just ready to start punching things.
The wind was already subtly picking up around them when Hal set her loose, and this time Elesia knew what that meant. She focused on the sensation, called out in her mind to that wind, and could feel it start to whip up into higher and higher speed winds that started to circle her visibly in emerald wisps of magic. Elesia turned around and gave Hal's mom a thumbs up, grinning with the innocent cluelessness that was her birthright, then turned back to the precipice of battle and held one hand out as she surveyed the battlefield, trying to figure out what to do.
Oh wait, she already knew.
Not bothering to wait for the actual battle to start, Elesia almost literally EXPLODED from the ground, scathing arcs of wind leaving grooves in the ground where she had been standing a moment before as she jumped impossibly high for a normal human, calling on the winds she only vaguely understood to turn her overemphatic jump into one that catapulted her a dozen feet into the air as she arced towards the nearest of the two guards, her arm erupting in golden flames that burned as bright as the sun.
...She kinda felt like a bird or something. She had no idea how to actually fly, and Elesia had TRIED, repeatedly, ever since figuring out the basics of wind control, but she HAD figured out how to kinda assist her jumps with powerful gusts of wind, and that was sort of like being a bird. Like a powerful bird of prey... an eagle or something. Or maybe a falcon.
"FALCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON," she screamed as she descended from the heavens like the collective fists of an entire pantheon of angry gods at the suddenly-realizing-how-screwed-he-was soldier, who brought up the haft of his lance as if it would protect him. She just grinned at his expression, bringing the golden flame encasing her hand around in a makeshift punch... backed up by her rapid descent from the jump.
"PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWNCH!"
And then the full might of Volcanon consumed the unfortunate soldier and the earth around him in a roaring explosion of all-consuming fire, the spell she had been charging ever since she stopped channeling the winds halfway through her ascension detonating all at once in his general direction.

Orcleous was lost, that was the best way to put it. He had decided that he was going to return home and thus Bern became his destination. The problem with that was Orcleous entered Bern from the mountains near Lycia. He had no idea where he was or where he was going. The only thing he knew was the fact that he was in Bern. Beyond that he did not have a clue. Orcleous finally found civilization after two weeks of traveling through rugged forest and high mountains. Lucky for the mercenary he had improved his camping skills before he began this great journey back to his homeland. If it was not for his woodland skills then he might have ended up a snack for a bear or worse some horrible monster.
"Man lady luck is never on my side", spoke Orcleous as he walked into the outskirts of town. The way Orcleous journey had been going so far he would not be surprise if the whole town was inhabited by the undead. It would not be the first time that has happened to him. Orcleous and the dreg of the world seem to go hand and hand. He kind of wondered if his name had something to do with it. Orcleous was not your normal name. From what he understood Orcs were some kind of fictional monster. The leous part he had no idea. Now that he thought on it he kind of wondered why his parents named him such in the first place. Who sits down and decided they are going to name their son Orcleous anyway. Orcleous swore to himself silently if he ever had a son he would never name him Orcleous. The name gave to little benefit and far to much trouble, though he had to admit he was not sure if his name was the cause of his woes in the first place.
As Orcleous walked down the road he noticed a group of guards, a man, and a funny looking girl standing out the door. "Thank Hartmut they are human", spoke Orcleous aloud. From his point of view it looked as if somebody was being arrested. Well no skin off his bones. Whoever that guy was he should have been smarter. Orcleous hoped they threw him in jail and smelted the key. People these days seem to be more malicious than in his youth. With the rebellion and monster attacks going on people are throwing law and order to the wind. It was about time they had a bit more order around here.
As Orcleous passed by he heard something that made him stop in his place. "Arrest the girl too, but take her to my estate." The words seem to ring in Orcleous head over and over. That was not a request of a lawful officer. That was the request of a .
Not your problem, the words popped into Orcleous head. It is not your problem, the words came again. Still Orcleous did not move. His mind continued to process the information over and over again. The more the works not your problem rolled into his head the more "take her to my estate" resonated louder. Orcleous then began to think back to his mother. His mind then wondered to his brother's wife. Then it moved to Yashi, though he wondered why. If somebody had said those words about any of them Orcleous would kill them out right. So what is the difference between them and the young girl over there. What would his father say if Orcleous walked by without doing anything? What would his mother say? What would he say to himself in the future if he allowed this to happen?
Orcleous gave off a massive sigh as the couple exploded into violence. A wyvern swooped down and took the man to the sky and the maiden jumped forward and punched a guard with a exsplotion of fire and wind. That punch by the way was quite impressive.
"Curse you wenc...", spoke one of the guards before a silver blade pierced suddenly through his chest from behind.
"What the", spoke the ugly man as Orcleous kicked the guard's body off his sword.
"Sorry, but I could not help but get involved", spoke the mercenary trying to make himself look cool. If he was going to take the heat for killing a guard he at the very least look awesome while doing it. "You all don't mind me dropping in do you?"

Hal took to the skies, he knew Elesia could handle herself for a bit as well Sarah being the biggest threat. As much as he wanted to believe she was still the kind hearted girl he had a crush on ages ago, he knew she placed her job before the friendship they once had. She didn't question James' orders to take Elesia, she was just as heartless as him. He looked back to see her gaining on him, not only was her wyvern larger but it was faster. Hal began to pull on the reigns to command Sol to dive down so they could help Elesia but Sol wasn't listening. Instead he kept climbing, as frustrating as it was to Hal he trusted Sol. If he was to guess Sarah's wyvern was raised to be a mount since it was a pup, Sol was a wild wyvern for a long time, this probably isn't the first time he got into a fight with another wyvern.
Hal held on for dear life gripping his lance in front of them when he saw Sol whip his head back to look at their pursuers then turn into a drop towards them. Placing his legs in front of himself Sol was looking to rip that wyvern apart, Sarah was able to command her wyvern to dodge just in time, Sol tried to bite the tame beast but failed. Sol wasted no time in re-positioning himself for flight again, he kept falling then leveled himself flying towards the forest, the other wyvern now had the height advantage on him and he would need to bring it lower before ascending into the sky again. Sarah was now trying to stay above them while getting head of them, Sol noticed that as well and banked to the right flying above the houses. He used the time it would take them to correct their course and catch up to start to fly higher. God damn Sol was awesome, Hal knew nothing of this and Sarah did, she was a much better flier than he was but his wyvern out classes hers.
Hal heard the sound of her wyvern falling, looking back he saw her leaning forwards with her lance pointed out towards him, it was as if she didn't want to harm Sol but Hal. She was descending rapidly, Hal pulled on the reigns to the right as hard as he could commanding Sol to bank right. Surprisingly enough Sol listened this time, the two had some weird synergy going out right now, before he wouldn't listen to Hal because he knew what to do but this time he didn't have the chance to look for the other wyvern and trusted Hal to guide him if needed. Both wyverns began to ascend once again, trying to fly higher than the other faster, Hal used that time to see what was going on below. Hopefully Elesia was alright.
Meanwhile on the ground, when Elesia had launched herself off of the ground James had began to run calling for more guards. It didn't take long before others had heard the call and began to rush the duo on the ground.

Ashes drifted away in the wind as the ravenous flame devoured all there was of the unfortunate guard. Elesia didn't even pretend to care, recoiling from the blast and caressing her now-somewhat-sore arm for a moment in midair before she landed on both feet perfectly, arms outstretched for balance, having the time of her life. That she had just obliterated a human being did not weigh on her conscience in the least; they were Bad Guys, she was the Good Guys, problem solved. A simplistic view of the world, but she had yet to connect some of the lessons she had ostensibly learned in Zach's company to larger issues of morality.
On the bright side, apparently she wasn't alone in that! She wasn't really sure why the new guy was wandering around stabbing people, but he stabbed a bad guy, so... that made him a good guy! She waved merrily over at Orcleous, no trace of guile or intelligence in her demeanor - a friendly greeting in the middle of a battle was about as normal as things got around her. "Hi! You're a good guy right?"
The big mean jerkface assbutt was running away and calling for help, she thought, assuming "more guards" was a code word for more bad guys. Elesia motioned for Orc to wait a second while she charged up a larger-than-usual fireball, then pirouetted in place before taking a running hurl with a swing that would make a professional baseball player jealous as she lobbed the EXTREMELY high-explosive orb of fire in his general direction. She had no idea if it would hit, and didn't really care, it was just a good excuse to start blowing things up.
Oh crap there WERE more bad guys though. Like... a lot of them. And they were moving around too much to count easily. She looked back to Orc. "What's your name and why are you so sunburned? Also I hope you can do that awesome stabby thing again because I think those guys over there took grave offense to your actions."

What the, thought Orcleous to himself as the maiden asked if he was a good guy. That was not the response he thought he would get when he first walked up to her. Maybe it would be something like wow that was a cool entrance, or who are you. Are you a good guy, now that was a question he did not expect to run into. It was innocent and a bit childish. It spoke milestones towards her personality. In truth it made that scum bag's sin all the more sinful. "Yeah I am a good guy", spoke Orcleous as he swung his sword and removed the guard's blood from the blade. The mercenary wanted nothing more than to kill off the last of the scum and move about his business, but while he was dealing with the guard the coward ran away and seemed to sent more guards to take them down.
"What's your name and why are you so sunburned? Also I hope you can do that awesome stabby thing again because I think those guys over there took grave offense to your actions", spoke the girl again. It was almost as if she was in a rush to ask him everything at once.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa", spoke Orcleous as he moved his hands to motion for her to slow down. "First my name is Orcleous, and second I am not sunburned. I always look like this and have looked this way since I was a child, and as for your last question", spoke Orcleous as stuck his sword out in front of him. "Yes", he spoke as he charged forward toward the advancing guards.
Normally Orcleous would retreat from this kind of situation. However in a way he was stuck in this fight. First off he killed a guard. That was punishable by death. The second they went against his morals and that meant he had to stand up or he was not a true man. The third being his face was seen by the coward. believe it or not a mercenaries face is his greatest accept. No one wants to hire a criminal to work for them. Sure having a bounty was bad, but that only really mattered in Bern. Having a record of being a criminal affect all who would hire you to guard their caravans and protection duty. These are the basics of the mercenary in all of Elibi. Getting a bad name would hurt Orcleous more than anything and Orcleous was not about to have his name sullied. He needed to kill that prick who likes taking little girls back to his estate and slay all the gaurds who seen his face.
"Sorry, but you all should have not seen my face", spoke Orcleous as he rushed toward a guard with his silver blade. The guardsmen stabbed forward with a lance, but Orcleous used the length of the blade to his advantage. The swordsmen simply cut down with the blade splitting the head of the lance from the wooden shaft. From there he rushed forward and ran the man through with his sword. Wasting no time he ripped the blade out of his left side and moved to engage the next guard that moved to attack him. "Cover my flank", shouted Orcleous to his new found friend as he engaged the enemy on his left.

Bern was stupid. She hated it. Why on Elibe was everyone fighting so hard over it? With the way they were going at it, you'd think the streets were paved with gems and the wyverns crapped gold, but it was basically just a place. Nothing really incredible going on for it, and it was separated from Ilia with a whole country in between the two making it awkward at best to get to. Of course there was the political ramifications, the farmlands, the trade routes, and all that junk but really she didn't care much about that. She was more interested in what she could see with her eyes, and what Lisa saw was nothing impressive. Then again maybe there was a reason she wasn't a politician, but if it was up to her she'd just let the stupid rebels have their stupid country. It wasn't really theirs to begin with, Ilia was just borrowing it.
So after the whole "Burning Blades", or whatever they called themselves, thing sort of fell through (Though it might be more accurate to say she just up and left) she found herself listless and in Bern. So she was learning to hate each stupid mountain, each annoying wyvern's nest, and each idiotic town intimately. She could have just flown by with her pegasus but nooo, that doesn't work does it? Apparently anyone with a flying horse is just asking to be shot at as soon as you stray too far from the Ilian army. It seems the rebels see anyone with a pegasus as a scout or something, and take efforts to put them down. Rude. Not like she could stop them, nor did she particularly strive too, so instead she'd just been taking Medusa around on the ground. You didn't really notice the wings until you got close anyways.
Of course she didn't leave the blades empty handed, or rather it might be better to say empty 'headed'... No don't say that, that's awful. You should be ashamed Lisa, you're better then that. Anyways, she did all the paperwork for the blades when she worked with them. Well it sure as hell felt like she did it all, but she did do a lot. She took notes, sorted through reports and files, so she had a relatively good grip on far more things than she could care to admit. This town for example, she knew it was currently controlled by Bernese rebels. If she had still been with the Burning Blades (which she still thought was a lame name) this might have been really stupid. Actually it was still pretty stupid, there was no dancing around that, regardless she was in the town anyways. Maybe she was watching them, or maybe she just hated herself. Really though she just wanted to see what these rebels were actually about. She knew nothing about them and was told to fight them? Maybe if she was still a soldier and didn't have the luxury of caring, but now she wasn't quite as eager to be told to kill without knowing who she was actually doing it to.
Despite thinking such things however, she found herself hating the rebels and everything they stood for. Maybe she was just bitter. Naaah, that couldn't be it. Still with the way they held onto this town with an iron fist, it was a wonder anyone liked them. They seemed different from the rebels she was more used to, then again she didn't really rub elbows with them often, so maybe they were all jerks. She played the part of a traveling mercenary well enough, and had a sort of cover over Medusa to hide her wings, if there was anything that would raise flags none of it would be faster than a flying horse. Well short of arriving with an army at her back. She wore a brown cloak over her white armor, to blend in a bit more. Medusa looked like she was wearing a blanket and hated it, but she couldn't just let the pegasus trot around announcing to the world she was Ilian. She didn't want to leave her either since who knows what could happen? The official story was she was here to buy supplies, but she instead sort of asked around town in hushed tones about how it was to live here. Most people were too afraid to say a thing, and those that did only said horrible things. Something about a "James" Hrm.
She was just about to leave town at this point. She stood on the road leading out, next to Medusa with her reins in hand. She couldn't stay long, no doubt someone would rat her out quickly, so she only planned on making a quick stop. A plan that was waylaid by the presence of... wyverns? Wyverns. Dammit. There was a wyvern in the sky, calling out with it's wild wyverny noises, it looked familiar but then again didn't all wyverns? She could see it in the sky from here, and she knew that was probably a good sign to get out of here. Another Wyvern followed it shortly, larger then the first. It didn't look as familiar as the other one, still the only wyverns she's had the pleasure of meeting were Valin's and Hal's. Neither of which were particularly long lasting impressions. She squinted with one eye, tilting her head to get a better look. That wyvern was really familiar.
A third figure lept into the air, it looked like a person but at the distance Lisa couldn't make it out all the way. However their hand appeared to be on fire. They were only in the sky for a moment before streaming down, and she could hear the faint sounds of someone screaming in the distance. She had that sort of feeling, the one you get in the gut? A sort of sinking feeling, she needed to see what it was. As she watched it leapt into the air again and it became apparent that it wasn't just her imagination. That was that wyvern she saw at the mouth of that one cave, same color same size same everything, it belonged to Hal right? That must have been who was riding it. Was Hal here? Why on ea... Actually it makes sense for Hal to be here, if anything it was weirder that she was there.
She turned to Medusa, sighing to herself. Against her better judgement, or any rational judgement that remained in her clearly addled mind, she pulled the cover off of Medusa allowing the horse's wings to spread. "C'mon May." She told her horse as she climbed atop her. Snapping the reins and giving the horse a gentle kick in the side the steed took off into the air as Elisabeth steered her towards the commotion. Honestly this was a dumb move, and the only reason she was bothering to do it was because she was reckless and had a death wish or something. That was the only way she could excuse it. Medusa sped through the air, as Lisa caught sight of a familiar figure in what looked like a nightgown. Still. She was still wearing that nightgown. Did she have no clothes? Elesia was surrounded by soldiers with only one person it looked like helping her.
Steering her horse into a dive, she held her lance at her side as the steed quickly descended at great speed, she held her lance as if she was ready to joust with it, and slammed it into some man's body. She wasn't entirely sure who's, but she stabbed from above in the neck where he was unarmored, the man collapsing to the ground grabbing at the wound spouting disgusting amounts of blood. He was dyiiii- dead, he was dead. Hrm, gross. Elisabeth and Medusa hovered just a bit above the ground as she turned to Elesia. "Small world."

Sol began to push himself more than he ever did, he wasn't about to let that tamed mockery of a wyvern beat him. He changed his direction from straight up to a diagonal towards Sarah, if he couldn't fly higher faster than he was going to rip it apart from below. Sarah recognized what Sol was attempting to do so she commanded her wyvern to fly towards him, the two were now playing chicken above the town where any blow would lead to their fall. Before they collided Sarah started swoop downwards, Sol wasn't going to allow to he escape his grasp so he started a dive while turning around. Now Hal and Sol were the ones chasing them, this boosted Hal's confidence that they had a chance of winning, Sol let out an intimidating roar to further prove he was the dominate one in this aerial battle.
They were gaining on the woman, Sarah noticed this so she attempted to get them off her tail. She recognized the threat that Sol was, she dealt with wyvern like him, feral ones and they weren't as easily predictable as people. She was impressed with the fact that Hal was able to command it let alone remained unscratched from it. She was clearly the better rider, but he was better at taming the beast and that scared her. As the chase went overhead Hal's home he saw another familiar face, Elisabeth. It relieved him to see Elesia receiving aid on the ground, he knew Sol wasn't going to back down from this duel until it was over.
Sarah took the chase closer to the ground, it wasn't very far from the ground in fact. Sol had caught up to the girl quite a bit, they were almost directly over head of them. Hal commanded Sol to dive towards them, he gripped his lance tightly as he dove off, he took a risk of missing them and hitting the ground and hurting himself severely. His fall was broken by the other wyvern, him crashing into it cause it to flip over mid-flight throwing the two towards the ground shortly before crashing onto the ground itself. The two hit the ground rolling and laid motionless for a bit. Hal pushed himself harder than he had ever done before, grabbing his lance he punched himself upwards looking at Sarah who still laid on her back. "Sarah." Hal said breathing heavily. "Why are you doing this? Did you join the rebels to "free" innocent people, or harm them?"
"Ugh... Hal, do you really think you're innocent? You tried to murder somebody else." "I'm not innocent, nor is the man you're protecting. He was hurting Sol when he was a pup, he got what he deserved. Elesia did nothing wrong, there was no reason to kidnap her for him. My brother and father did nothing wrong but they were murdered out of spite." Hal was struggling to get to his feet, even when using his lance to prop himself up while Sarah seemed to be having less trouble.

Huhhhhhh. She didn't really know what to make of Orc's answer, but he seemed like a nice guy, and she liked nice people. So Elesia grinned at him, widely and guilelessly, and watched him go stab the unholy crap out of people. That was SO COOL she wanted to be able to cut through people's weapons with her own too. But arms were soft and fleshy and derpy and not at all sharp and hard and sword-ey, or at least she hadn't figured out how to turn her arms into swords. YET.
Also Lizzy was there. Elesia looked up at her and waved in obvious excitement. "LIZZY!" She might have repeated the jump of before, but this time with more of a hug than a fire punch, but she didn't trust Elisabeth's flying horse demon thing further than she could throw it. And she could throw things pretty far. "You came just in time for the party! It's time to HERO!"
Damn she was awesome. Who else could turn any word into a verb? No one but super kami guru Elesia, that's who! Hm. People were doing a lot of stabbing. She kinda wished she had a spear or something. Lance? Javeling? Apparently there were lots of names for the same thing. But all of them looked cool... hmm. The wyld mage looked down thoughtfully, raising her right hand to chest height as the living flame flickered inside her palm, dancing nebulously to the beat of her frenzied imagination. Maaaaybe... she could? This would be a lot easier if she had an actual spear to experiment with, but they tended to catch fire. So... innovation time!
About three seconds later, Elesia was hefting an eight-foot-long 'lance' of pure fire, held in midair above her raised hand after she discovered that actually holding and wielding it was burny and not good. "MINE'S BIGGER THAN YOURS," she cackled maniacally, before hefting the shaped magic charge in another Olympic-worthy display of projectile prowess that sent it hurtling straight at - and in short order, directly through - three of the guys to Orc's right, though for some reason it didn't really explode so much as just leave the three guys it had pierced screaming and dying as their insides boiled where it had impaled them before dissipating.
...Eh, she'd figure out the exploding part later. Where was Hal anyways? She had been more or less ignoring the wyvern fight, assuming Hal would win it out of blind trust, but she kinda wanted to set those people he didn't like on fire.

"Do I know you", spoke Orcleous as he looked up and saw the Pegasus rider. He was not sure, but he had seen her before some where. The mercenary just could not put his finger on it. Still it looked like he was not the only one randomly jumping into battles, and it seemed like she and the bubble mage knew each other. That might be the reason she joined up. To each their own Orcleous guessed as he turned his attention back onto the incoming guard. Suddenly from his left flank came a massive fire spear. The spear stab through three of the guards and set their insides on fire. At first Orcleous did not believe what he saw, but the death screams of the three men told him that it was real.
"Holy crap", spoke Orcleous as he turned around and looked at Elesia. "I need to learn magic", he spoke as he looked down at his silver blade. His sword seemed so useless in comparison. "You are far stronger than I thought", spoke Orcleous as he looked the bear mage in the eye. "Still I can't let you out do me", spoke Orcleous as he rushed forward toward more oncoming guards. You would think after her stunning display of magical power that they guards would flee in terror, but no they just kept on coming. Maybe it was blind loyalty, maybe it was duty, or it could just be part of the job. Either way Orcleous was happy to be a simple mercenary. It meant he could chose what jobs he wanted and which ones he did not. Also it meant he could retreat whenever he thought the gold did not match the danger, though such a action would damage your reputation.
Orcleous took a deep breath as his silver blade clashed with a guardsman sword. It was the first time he had been stopped in the day. He had to give it to the guardsman. He was not the same cannon fodder that Orcleous had been cutting through on his path. The two swordsmen broke the clash and began to cross blades with each other. At first the advantage rode with the guard, his sword was shorter than Orcleous blade and had he advantage in a close fight. However Orcleous had more power and as the battle went on he was force further and further away. Eventually he reached the sweet spot and Orcleous was able to get a good blow in. The mercenary disarmed his opponent with a powerful swing and ran him through with his sword. By that time more boys in blue had gathered and were looking to halt the group's path.
"Out of the way", shouted Orcleous. " Me and that little girl you all call a boss have a few words to disguse."

"Well then, I'm happy I didn't miss it." She said with a smirk, looking down at Elesia gesture enthusiastically. Shortly after head energetic greeting, she proved that Lisa was right in her theory that she was a mage. Damn it felt good being right. As if she was trying to copy Lisa (and show her up) she created her own 'lance' and tossed it like a javalin and somehow managed to hit three people. How. How stupid were these people? That they stand in a straight line only a few feet from each other? That is like, the least likely formation ever. Where they waiting in line for a chance to stab them? Why were people so stupid? Elesia, however, didn't seemed fazed by all this combat junk. In fact seemed enthralled by it. It would be a bit disturbing is Lisa cared, but she did not, go ahead Elesia. Be as bloodthirsty and crazy you want, throw fire spears and blow people up and all that junk. Just don't blow up Lisa, and she's fine. Some people deserved exploding anyways.
"No?" The man in red asked her if they knew each other, she doubted it. "I think I'd remember a man with skin that sunburnt." She said cocking a brow. She looked up into the air. "Is that Hal up there?" She asked Elesia, but then shook her head. "What am I saying of course it is." She answered her own question. They could catch up later, or not, or whatever. Maybe they'll all just die, that'd be a switch. Whatever, she didn't feel like dying today so she wasn't gonna go get herself killed. Y'know, if she could help it.
She spun her lance in the air, swinging it low and tucking the haft of the spear under her arm, with her other arm she snapped Medusa's reins and the horse kicked off into the air. She dashed off towards a man holding a shield and lance in hand, Medusa moved with grace and dignity as always, but also great speed as she almost crashed right into him. She thrust her lance only for the man to defend against the strike with his shield, quickly replying with a thrust of his own spear. Only Medusa moved before the man could strike and he hit air, Lisa had struck as the flew by, instead of letting their momentum be stopped, the horse flew high and then turned coming around for another strike. The man turned and held up his shield again just in time for sparks to fly as Lisa's lance scraped against it. The curved design causing her spear to slide off as Medusa flew by again. It came around a third time, unwilling to be stopped by the soldier's accursed shield. This time as the flying horse flew by he tried to stab pre-emptively to catch where the horse was flying towards so it'd impale itself, only Lisa had expected this and reacted quickly, the horse kicking up above his blow and flying around to behind him and her spear found it's way into his shoulder between his steel plates, causing him to bleed and cry out in pain. With her flying away before he could counter, he slumped down and grabbed his injured shoulder.
She wasn't really being a juggernaut of destruction of the like of Elesia or that other guy, but she was doing well enough for herself. Of course it wasn't very good for the old ego, but whatever. She barely had an ego anyways.

[Hal mentioned he might not be able to post for a few days so TEMPORARILY we don't have to wait for him, once Orc/Liz post I'll respond unless Hal is back+ready to go by then]
"Eye'm the strongest!"
Elesia positively swelled with pride at Orc's words, remarkably easily and obviously flattered by his response... and unfortunately now determined to live up to it. Also, bored of throwing long-range magic. But she hadn't figured out how to actually hold the fire lance thing, so she couldn't actually copy Lizzy. It took about five seconds to go from excited to crestfallen-looking as she realized that she couldn't even match Lizzy at stabbing people with lances, then she forgot about it in short order when she remembered she had to experiment with wind stuff too.
The emerald glow around her intensified into momentary ethereal wings of light as she set off running, propelled by the wind itself into a breakneck sprint that quickly turned into more of a skating motion. She had no idea what she was doing, as usual, but actually trying to move that fast made her legs hurt almost immediately and the skating thing was her unconscious and near-immediate reaction, which actually turned out to be REALLY fun.
Fun enough that she forgot about the whole 'battle' thing until she was already nearly in the fray and about to be stabbed in the face.
Elesia promptly began screaming at the top of her lungs as she tripped and fell backwards, arms flailing, landing on her butt and skidding between the very surprised men on the aftercurrents of the wind she had been using to skate along. She kept screaming as the gust of wind following her blew their formation apart, and panicked quickly enough to send a jet of flame into someone's face, losing control of the wind immediately and being sent hurtling through the air as she struggled to regain her footing while traveling through the ranks of a whole load of very confused soldiers.
From outside it probably looked almost comical; random jets of fire and a loose chain of small fiery detonations being occasionally visible over the sea of humanity. For an Elesia closing in on complete instinct and very little rational thought, it was slightly worse than hell on earth.

"unbelievable", spoke Orcleous as he stared in awe at Elesia. To her what she did was a tactical mistake that ended up putting her flat on her bottom. To Orcleous however it was tactical genius. From his point of view Elesia had thrown herself at the enemy ranks in order to break their formation. In orcelous mind she was just like berserker. In order to break the enemies shield formation berserkers would charge toward the enemy formation as fast as they can and throw themselves against the enemies shields. The force of their charge would open up the shield wall and allow the other units to get in and slaughter the enemy.
"Alright time to switch in", spoke Orcleous as he rushed forward behind Elisia. The mercenary took advantage of the enemies disgruntle state to rush in and stab one of the down men in his unprotected throat. Orcleous then swung his sliver blade and cut the shaft off one of the down men lances and kicked another back onto the ground. Trying to make use of this opening as much as he could Orcleous charged forward and ran his sword through the man with the shorten lance.
"Die Ilian Dog", shouted one of the men as he rushed forward in an attempt to stab Orcleous in the side. The mercenary turned his body in order to redirect the spear tip toward his armor. However he was a bit too slow in his action and ended up getting a slash on his unprotected bicep.
"Curses", spoke Orcleous as the wound began to bleed. The mercenary however did not have time to lick his wounds as the soldier pulled back and stuck a second time. This time Orcleous was in a better position. The mercenary deflected the tip of the spear with his sword and slashed out toward the soldier aiming to cut the lances shaft. However the man was too good for that. As Orcleous swung he pulled his spear back and stabbed forward again. The spear tip stabbed just blow Orcleous breastplate and stabbed into a bit of exposed flesh. Lucky for the mercenary the stab wound was not too deep, but the soldier was starting to give him some trouble.
"Dang", spoke Orcleous as he took a few steps back. The mercenary was out of the range of the lance, but only by a step. If the man stepped in he would be able to attacked Orcleous. The mercenary stared forward at the man as he planned his next move. Charging in was not going to work, nor was trying to go to his side. The soldier already proved to be more skilled with his lance than Orcleous was with his sword, so out skilling him was out of the question. Orcleous only had one more option left to him.
A smile crossed the mercenaries face as he stared at the guard. The expression puzzled the man as he was sure he was winning that the battle. Then in a most unexpected manner Orcleous threw his silver blade in the air. The action caused the man to look up at the sword, but his years of fighting told him he had made an error. He quickly brought his eyes down to see what Orcleous was doing. To his surprise however orcleous was gone. In the moment he looked up Orcleous had jumped into the air. As he brought his eyes back down he missed Orcleous feet of acrobatics. The mercenary caught his sword midair and brought the blade down on the man's helmet. The blade cut down to the man's chest. With a good kick Orcleous freed his blade of the man's body and then began to do something about the bleeding.

It appeared that they had went into the generic action sequence portion of the fight, oh well. Elesia bumrushed the soldiers, and then she rushed to her bum. The other guy was doing silly acrobatics and trying to look cool, he looked like a dork really, while Elesia just screamed bloody murder flying around. Ugh. If she wasn't in the middle of a battle, she'd take a moment to scoff and dismissively roll her eyes at them. Wait, what was she talking about, there's always time for that. So she scoffed and rolled her eyes. Of course unless she rolled her eyes so fast they created a typhoon, it wasn't actually going to help the situation in any reasonable capacity. She wasn't going to shame the soldiers into going home by calling them stupid, goodness knows if that was true she'd be undefeated.
She sucked in a breath and kicked May lightly in the side. "Hup!" She let out a small noise as she pulled the reins, the flying steed taking off. She moved with very little wasted energy, straight and to the point with few flourishes, it may be boring but it was at the very least efficient. Medusa galloped through the air, wings of white beating powerfully in the sky.
If anyone was an Ilian dog here, it was her, and the soldiers were sure to let her know. "Illian cur!" One of them called out, such a creative person. These were rebellion soldiers, it was kind of funny in a way. Normally she was ambivalent or at the very least apathetic towards them, right now however she was a bit more peeved. So sucks to be them, while she brandished her weapon in a slightly less apathetic way than usual.
In amongst the mess of people being baffled by the whatever Elesia was doing, there was a few men holding bows. No doubt picking it up once word of a wyvern rider was heard. Unfortunately she was also a bit skittish about bows herself, they were one of the few weapons that could pick her out of the sky. Medusa, being a pegasus, had no armor on her wings and thus became easy things to target with bowfire, and a well shot arrow could send her crashing right to earth. Not fun usually. So they became her priority, and picking them off is probably the best thing she could do. Elesia wasn't particularly well armored, and their bowfire could match her magic in terms of range easily, if they went undeterred they could possibly prove their downfall. There was... a few, a handful at best. Archers weren't the most common type of soldier, they required much more training then say picking up a sword and swinging it. Sure it took a lot of training to make a swordfighter good, but it took far more to make an archer plausible.
She dove from the air like a rocket of white and brown, he cloak trailing behind her as she descended rapidly, fluttering wildly and revealing the gold and white armor hiding underneath. While the archer was distract by the commotion, she took the opportunity to CRASH right into him, her spear having all the momentum of her dive behind it and punching through the man's leather armor and into his chest, where it met bone, rib most likely. He let out a suprised gasp and turned his head to see the woman who struck him without he even realizing. She pulled the lance from his body as he fell to his knees clutching his wound. He would die. Probably. Even if he didn't he probably wasn't in a position to fire his bow anymore. Instead of waiting to relish the victory, Medusa kicking into the air again as she turned her focus to another one of the bow wielders.

"uuuuuuuwaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH," Elesia helpfully provided as she carefully wended her way through the crowd. She had no idea what was going on and was still hollerin' at the top of her lungs, but she had just enough presence of mind to think to maneuver rather than flying straight, and barely enough reflexes to do so without tripping and impaling herself on anyone's sword.
It was a close thing, though. Without anything resembling a plan, the banshee-mage hybrid was left to switch rapidly between panic modes, bursts of wind in between jets of fire. Pop up into the air over that spear, solid jet of fire to propel herself a little to the left while scorching that guy on the right trying to swing his sword, a little random flailing as she forgot how to think again, and then a moment of sheer horror-slash-panic as someone brought an axe up for an overhead swing to bisect her, resulting in a massive burst of displaced air as she was sent somersaulting through the air - and still screaming; so far there had not even been a pause - before petty vengeance consumed her and she throw a couple balls of fire into the crowd from above and behind-ish.
Unfortunately, while that did have the benefit of splitting her off from most of the enemy force, and also lifting her mood so much that the screams dissipated into howling laughter like some sort of psychotic chimpanzee, it did mean that she was not only cut off from her friends, but smack dab in the middle of the enemy's rear guard, people who were chanting fancy words and-
...Oh. Well then. She started screaming again as a barrage of foot-long needles of writhing ebon followed her trajectory, one after another shooting past her like so many lances, and ruined her own landing when the ground itself seemed to seep weird black goop stuff, leaving her tumbling and momentarily winded in the wake of one last burst of fire that provided just enough counter-force to break her fall and bring up enough dust and dirt to temporarily hide her landing.
"...I want to go home now," Elesia mumbled to no one in particular. Maybe she should have just stayed inside and asked for seconds on the food.

"There we go", spoke Orcleous as he finish applying healing cream onto his wounds. The cream stopped the bleeding and closed the flesh, but it did not stop the pain. However Orcleous did not mind the pain. The pain told him he was alive and that he needed to be careful next time. As the mercenary looked around he noticed the bear mage still taking it too the enemy. He was pretty impressed. Even surrounded as she was she fought like a wolf. He wind magic kept the enemy weapons at bay and her fire burned the enemy asunder. It was almost like watching a dragon.
"Alright back into action", spoke Orcleous as some of the guards moved to fight him. Orcleous began to wonder how many of these guys were there. He and the others had cut down quite a few of them ,but they seem to just keep coming. As a guard stabbed forward with his lance. Orcleous once again cut off the tip of the spear. However the swordsman was not satisfied with just that. With another quick swing he cut the shaft shorter and with another he made it none existent. The soldier panic and attempted to flee, but Orcleous ran him through from behind.
"Alright I am getting really tired of this crap", shouted Orcleous grabbing the attention of multiple people. Orcleous had enough of these guys. He wanted them dead and out of the way. Each one of them stood his path blocking the road to that coward. Orcleous could stand it no longer. The swordsmen threw caution to the wind and charged forward with his Silver Blade at the ready. The first person to charge him was a fighter. Using an axe against Orcleous blade, that was a foolish choice. Orcleous cut the man's stomach open before his axe could even reach him.
