My mentor is not one to be caught by pirates, plus how would one go from the Nabata to the Western Isles? Liror thought while staring down at the ocean floating by on the ship he had to ferry to actually get to these islands.
Blasted ship cost me an arm and a Leg to board seeing as this is the only one going to the pirate infested islands. Liror thought while thinking of what to do when he actually got the islands
Liror started thinking being a priest he wont be able to do much so he would have to sneak into the pirates ships or wherever they would keep a prisoner.
This was most likely the most dangerous thing he has ever done what if they weren't even holding his mentor? Liror's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of canon fire and people screaming
"PIRATES!" he heard someone yell "hear, already?" Liror said nearly dodging a flying canon ball coming towards his head. People screaming and the ship starting to sink is what Liror saw, "dear god what am I suppose to do?" Liror said with fear in his voice before the ship started to go down, and down, then all of a sudden water flooded the deck where he was at. Liror didn't know what happened next all he saw after the ship sank was darkness...
Liror woke up on the shore of the beach coughing up water missing his pack only his heal staff still with him. After collecting himself Liror decided to head towards inland Before he could go any further he was stopped as well, as fate would have it pirates. Please, don't let it end here. Liror tohught backing away from the pirates further until coming into the ocean water again.

The shores of the Western Isles were full of crooks and vile men. Opportunists and brigands, swindlers and murderers. A veritable cesspit of foulness and filth. How disgusting.
It looked like someone was being accosted by a group of ne'er-do-wells. What a surprise. Time to lay down some law and order, yes?
As he slowly walked up to the group of pirates, his every step deliberate and solid. Reaching up, his arms drew the gargantuan mace he carried from its holder on his back. One swing later, and one of the men was laying on the ground, his skull completely shattered from the weapon.
"Please leave this man alone."
With that, the manakete slammed his mace down into the sand, his muscles tensed and ready. It would be up to the villains to decide their fate.

Liror saw the man who just killed one of the 4 pirates, maybe I actually am saved. Liror thought, then the 3 pirates turned around and said "Who do you think you are coming over here interrupting our raid? we're the Gray Wolf Pirates! now, just surrender your gold and weapons and we might forgive you for killing our friend we might even give you a quick and painless death. The pirate said with a smirk on his face
"It's up to you kid make your choice." one of the other pirates said while pulling out their axes. "Hopefully you make the right one."

"You misunderstand. That was not a polite request. That was a command. Prepare yourselves."
There was a brief moment of silence before the mysterious man gave a huge roar and ripped his mace from the sand, lifting it and then slamming it forward through a pirate so that it embedded itself in the man. Yanking it free, the manakete lifted the great weapon and allowed another pirate to slam his axe into it. Oh, look. Dragon-forged alloy seemed to be stronger than puny human steel. What a surprise. Well, it certainly was surprising for the pirate who was bleeding to death, his abdominal cavity completely mangled, and the dumbfounded pirate whose axe head had just snapped off of the handle. It was a matter of one swift stroke, and the idiot's life was swiftly ended.
The final pirate meanwhile had charged forward and managed to strike Locke squarely in the side, leaving a long slash. It wasn't grievously deep, but it angered Locke. Immensely. And so the normally docile manakete settled for teaching the man a lesson, which he did by grabbing the still-embedded, offending axe, and ripping it free. He then punched the pirate in the face and then bent the axe's metal handle around the pirate's neck, tightening it until the man began choking and writhing in agony.
"I might even give you a quick and painless death," Locke smirked, before indeed holding up his promise and smashing the man in the face with his mace.
The battle ended, Locke slammed his mace back into the ground and immediately took off his robe and satchel, looking at the cut he'd sustained. While his trousers were still on, the man he'd just saved would be able to see the manakete's surprisingly chiseled build and the myriad dark markings that swirled on his skin. Tattoos of some sort, they appeared to be.
"Damn. I must treat this cut immediately so that it does not get infected."

Liror was terrified for his life and the "man" who was saving him, after the battle was over he noticed the pirates were completely mangled covered in blood and the person who saved him had a huge gash on his head.
Liror rushed over to him and pulled out his staff, staff in hand he used his magic to heal the man's wounds. "Um.. thank you for saving me sir." Liror bowed "I don't think I would have lived if it weren't your help."
"Oh, by the way my name is Liror and if you couldn't tell i'm a priest which is why its hard to defend myself haha." Liror gave a fake smile because in reality Liror was terrified of this person because of the way he destroyed those men... it was gruesome.

Locke bowed. "I am thankful for your healing magic, young Liror. I am Locke of Nabata. My home is the desert sands, and I have traveled far to land on these Isles. The great Earth must have willed it to be so. Are you a priest of the Earth, Liror?"
This boy seemed scared of everything around him. Such fear would be debilitating. He needed courage to survive. Courage and strength. Locke shook his head slightly and began to clean his mace, allowing the priest time to respond. He buried the mace head in the sand and turned it, allowing the grit to clean and shine the metal. Dragonsteel alloy. The best around. There was no metal better than it. It was perfect for any task, nearly unbreakable, and could be enchanted. Fine, fine metal.

"U-um no i'm am not, and again thank you for your help with those pirates I owe you my life Locke." Liror bowed "um... if you don't mind me asking would you mind accompanying me in searching those pirate's ships to look for my mentor?" Liror asked hopefully
"If you don't wish to that is fine I can probably go in without notice but just in case some defense could be very helpful." in honesty Liror was still terrified of Locke but he seemed kind enough to introduce himself, help Liror from those pirates, and well you know, not killing him. So maybe he would help.
"I could also pay you if you like but I don't have much."

"Search ships for your mentor? Young Liror, what you are asking is, simply put, a suicide mission. To search without direction for a single man amidst the fleet of pirates in these seas? That is impossible. You would be caught and imprisoned as a galley slave. I recommend taking the chance you have been given and leaving this cesspool of human filth while you still can. These are dangerous parts, Liror... Surely you must understand that.
I counsel you to run. Run far away. Your spine is not yet straight, and the light of heroic courage does not gleam in your eye. You must fight your own battles, and choose your own fights. I will not stop you if you choose to hunt for your mentor... But I would suggest you steel your heart and accept his loss. Your mentor could be anywhere by now. To invade a pirate ship alone is suicide, and my mace cannot stop everything that they will attack you with. Do not be foolhardy. Flee, while you still are able!"

Liror smiled, "Suicide or not i'm not leaving without my mentor, what kind of man would I be for leaving someone he cares about on some crazy pirate ship? If being captured and having to rescue him from the inside is what it takes so be it but I will tell you now Locke." Liror said with his tone raising and him getting up off of the ground. "You will not stop me from rescuing him I will see myself dead after he is safe or anyone else for that matter."
Liror understood this place was dangerous but he would not stop for anything to rescue his mentor... anything, "I'm assuming that with the way you're speaking you do not wish to accompany me on my mission, I respect your'e choice and wish you good fortune Locke" Liror said with a bow.
Liror gathered up his few supplies he had from the shipwreck and was about to be on his way until he spotted more pirates coming from the jungle, Liror grabbed Locked and his behind a rock trying to think of a plan.

"I cannot condone such a foolish action... But the hearts of the young are too hot with ardor and their mindsets blissfully ignorant of the ramifications of their actions. I am sorry. I will not accompany you into a death trap. That is not my way. I would advise you to think twice before you do so as well. You will not emerge unscathed, and probably not alive... Do not continue with your foolhardy task, young one."
Locke shook his head as the young man pulled him down behind the rock.
"I will provide you with one final boon. Go now. I will fight them."
Standing up, Locke walked away from the boy, planting his mace in the sand and readying himself for battle. Hopefully, the boy would seize the moment. The pirates advanced, five strong, their axes glinting. This would be a fight.

Liror was thinking of running which is obviously what Locke wanted him to do but, he knew he couldn't just abandon Locke, that was the cowards way out.As Liror stood up he said "I'm afraid i'm not letting you fight this battle alone Locke, I may not be able to fight but i'll be the one stitching you back up."
Liror pulled out his staff and stared right at the pirates they were armed yes, but Locke and Liror easily out skill each individual pirate but he didn't know about fighting all 5 at one this was either going to be his greatest victory or his final fight.
"Looky here lads we seem to have gotten ourselves a couple of fighters on our hands it seems we're gonna have to teach them a lesson." the Pirate said pulling out his axe pointing it right towards them. "Get e'm boys!" 4 of the pirates started walking towards them while the one who stood back was assumingly the commander of the small group.
No matter how afraid I am I must be strong. Liror thought being ready for a fight.

"Why so many... This... Hrrrgh. Fine. I will smash you all!"
With two pirates moving in from each side, Locke thought quickly. Mace in hand, the manakete charged in, as if towards the leader who hung back, but then abruptly whipped his mace in a circle, executing a deadly spinning attack that took out a pirate with a meaty thud. Three more grunts.
Wait, they were moving towards the priest. Now that was unacceptable. Grabbing the axe from the dead pirate, he hurled it at the other three, eliciting an angry roar as it hit one pirate.
"Fight me..."
Locke locked his mace into the other pirate's axe, ripping the weapon free, then bashed in the two unarmed pirates' skulls in quick succession. The last pirate was also easily dispatched after a quick game of parry-and-chase, which led to the poor man being utterly humiliated when he lost not only the game but also his life.
"Fight me..."
The leader was left. Advancing, Locke roared, and, although the priest couldn't see, his face turned reptilian and angular as he smiled at the pirate boss, baring rows of sharp fangs.
The terrified man had no chance; casting his mace aside, Locke lunged forward, grappling with the man and throwing him to the sand in a judo maneuver. Kneeling down, the manakete snapped the man's neck, then let the power seep back into his stone before standing up, taking his mace, and beginning to walk away.
"Goodbye, young priest. Be wise and flee as well."
With that, the manakete faded into the jungle. He had to go back to the shrine... The mace had to rest once more.

Liror had been lucky to meet Locke but for right now he couldn't rely on luck to save him anymore he had to be cautious if we wanted to survive. Liror started walking along the beach towards the ships the Pirates had, Liror wouldn't go on them or even near them he had to come up with some type of escape plan and a plan to even get on the boat.
As Liror made his way along the beach he noticed some pirates walking towards him, Liror ran into the jungle and hid behind bushes and trees hoping they wont spot him which luckily they didn't but he did notice the pirates were carrying a person over their shoulder he couldn't quite make out who it was but he assumed it was another passenger from the boat Liror was on.
Liror was tempted to save the person but he had no idea how, he cant fight and was alone not able to rely on someone else so Liror decided to see where they were taking the person. After about an hour of following the pirates it was getting dark so they made a fire and cooked some food laughing about how much money they would make selling off these people. Liror didn't want to but he had to listen in on their conversation to get signs of his mentor being there and when they would decide to go to sleep so he could rescue the prisoner.
Another half an hour later the pirates were asleep from the alcohol they drank and the food they ate, this would be Lirors only chance to save the captive, Liror snuck over to the person, which they tied onto a pole to prevent escape, Liror untied the rope and picked up the person carrying them into the jungle away from the pirates. Now all Liror had to do was wait for this person to wake up.

William found himself at this time walking through the jungle about a week after he escaped the bandits that burned his village thinking about two things.
The first is about how lucky he is to have figured out a small portion of hunting technique, for otherwise he surely would have starved.
The second is that if he simply had a map he'd know where he is, and also be halfway to Armagh by now.
As he laments his fate he simply continues tromping through the jungle by torchlight of the torch he "procured" before leaving the bandit camp. But before he can think about much else he enters a small clearing to see what looked like a young man wearing blue robes with black hair.
"Hello fellow traveler and who might you be?" He asks at a nominal volume.

Liror got up from his position on the ground and brushed off his cloak "Hello there my name is Liror and I have made my way into this jungle for protection from pirates that seemed to be docked on this island and for the reason of me being here well i'm trying to rescue my mentor who I believe was kidnapped from these pirates."
Liror stopped when he thought he just met this person why was he giving him is life story? "oh haha i'm sorry for drabbling might you tell me you're name and reasons for being on this pirate infested island?" it was not uncommon for travelers to be on this island with a group or be highly skilled swordsman but this young man seemed to be only a beginner.
