Balerion had this handled. After a long while of wrestling and generally keeping the younger wyvern at bay, he was finally done playing and toying with the poor sap. Balerion roared as he suddenly leaped at the neck of the wyvern, biting deep into it as blood begun to pour out from the wound he opened. The young wyvern let out a loud screech of death before going limp.
Orys groaned as he lied against the slow. He then slowly furrowed his brow, snarling and grunting to himself as he tried to get up. Come on. Come on! COME ON! He would not fall here! And so, with great difficulty, he got up, wobbling around for a moment before ripping his spear out the throat of the wyvern he had killed.

"You killed both the rider and his wyvern to defend yourself, and distracted the enemy of a man you never met before, but you'll just let yourself freeze in this frozen wasteland." The Man in White muttered with a very typical scowl on his face, but Alizarin, with his back facing the former, did not shift from where he lay, nor did he intend to do so.
"I want to die on my own terms." He mumbled and pressed deeper into the snow and felt his blood seep. After all, death by wyvern was a very unpleasant way to go. White pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation.
"Are those words truly yours?"
The Shaman shifted, turned his gaze and glared at his imaginary friend. "You tell me." You tell us.

Orys had watched the shaman talk to himself for a long while by now. He was clearly insane... Insane and talented enough to help him. So, he proceeded to limp over to the man and, rather easily, pick him up. "You're not dying today. Even if you want to." He then walked over to Balerion, placing him down on the wyvern's back before jumping on it himself.
"We've got a place to go to. I'll get you back in shape."

"We've got a place to go to. I'll get you back in shape." Looks like your fate has been taken out of your hands.
"What are you doing?" Alizarin asked as the Rider placed him on the wyvern's back. "What are you up to?" The Rider did not look like the type to save others out of the kindness of his heart - his reaction to their first meeting was more than enough evidence for that. It was confusing, to say the least. "Why are you doing this? I don't understand."

"Call this drafting in recruits." Orys grunted, kicking Balerion gently as they set to the skies once more. The wyvern, even though mauled, had managed to rest for a long while in their snowy cavern. "And well... I shall educate you about my goals. After all..." He grinned to himself, actually laughing. "You will be my first expert in the arts of dark magic."
"You see... I am Orys. Orys Durrandon. Former soldier of the Bern army, explaining why those wyvern riders came here. But, enough about that. I have ambitions. Big ones." He nodded as they rode trough the snowstorm. "I will carve out my own kingdom in these lands of Elibe..." He looked at the shaman. "And you're now a part of the project."

"I see." The Shaman considered the Rider, no, Durrandon, and his words. It was so tempting, to have a purpose again, to have a reason to live, even if it was serving under someone else and his ambitions, even if he doubted the success of this new... venture? Alizarin watched the scenery change beneath them, considering the options he was given (or their lack thereof). "I'll join your 'program', I guess." He eventually said with a chuckle, voice softer than the usual. "My name is Alizarin. 'Tis a pleasure to meet my new employer." With that, he simply closed his eyes and let himself drift to sleep. He can worry about the details later. END THREAD
