The bandits ended up killing everyone in he clan including her mother and father. Faith, though still a infant, was going to share their fate, but ultimately was spared thanks to the words of a woman named Ellie. Ellie was the wife of the bandit gang's boss. She was infertile because a wound she suffered in her youth. Unable to have children of her own Ellie took Faith as her own daughter. One she adopted her as her own she decided to let Zod, the bandit leader, name their child. Zod, who was not keen on adopting the infant, named her Bones, as that is what she should be.
Bones grew up amongst the bandit gang. She ate black Soup like the men, and trained like the men. At the age of ten she was added to her first raid and killed a person for the first time. Her fist kill was hard and she had nightmares about it for days. After that however it became easy as she began to kill more and more often. Bones began to take pleasure in the act of killing.
This went on for five more years before her mother Ellie had become alarmed. During the time she raided her daughter Ellie has soften from the cold-hearted Bandit she use to be and had become more motherly. She wanted to say something to her earlier, but her father, Zod, would not allow it. He said she needed to be that way if she was going to survive in their world and because of that Ellie held off. However after five years of seeing this Ellie could not hold back any longer. Ellie tried to council her daughter against taking pleasure in killing, but this very fact lead to the two of them getting into a big argument. On unsteady terms Bones went into battle with her father and a small portion of the gang. There they raided a caravan and killed most of the passengers. However Bones' mother's word's laid heavily on her heart and Bones spared one of the younger boys by covering him with a blood stained cape. After the raid the bandits returned home and Bones apologized to her mother.
That very night however the bandit gang was ambushed by a group of vigilantes looking to extract justice. In that ambush Bones' mother was cut down by one of the soldiers. In raged Bones charged the enemy lines, nearly getting herself killed in the process, and broke their formation and won the day. She was praised by the other bandits and held as the hero of the battle, but she could careless. When the bandits began to get rid of the vigilantes bodies Bones found the corpse of the young man she had spared. Because she spared him he lead the enemy to their camp. Bones took it as her own fault for her mother's death and vowed to never again show mercy.
With a heart of cold steel Bones worked with her father's gang of bandits looting and plundering both Bern and Sacae. Her skill and ferocity quickly allowed her to move up to the position of second. She finally stood next to her father. However there were many who did not accept the idea of a young girl having rank over them. Those men however did not last long. Those who attacked Bones were killed without mercy and without hesitation. She did not care how long they had known her, or if they once held her as a babe. Bones held her position with a iron grip.
Many years had passed and word reached the gang of the Resurrection of the Bandit King. Her father Zod wanted the gang to pack up and pledge their allegiance to this the undead warrior as he did in the past. Zod saw Hargus return as a blessing and a chance at the old dream again. Bones however did not see eye to eye with her father. She argued with him about it and eventually she challenged his authority out right. The two could not come to an agreement and end the end only the axe could settle the disagreement. The battle between father and daughter was short, but it was ferocious. In the end Bones won the duel, not before she received a great gash on her left arm however. With the bandit clan firmly in her grip she returned to her tent to rest. However one of the older members, a man named Willy, came to her with her mother's journal. He had been holding it for a long time and decided today was the day she deserved to know the truth about her birth. The diary told of how her mother had found her and that her real family was a part of a sacean clan. It also spoke of how she received her name and her true name of Faith.
At the time Willy attempted to pass himself off as a caring uncle to Bones, but the truth of the matter was not that he thought this was best for her, but rather he wanted to make a power play. With Zod gone he could finally take control of the bandit group, however he did not think he had the strength to defeat Bones. Old Willy wanted to make Bones emotionally unstable and take over the bandit gang in a coupe.
His plan however failed as Bones did not react as he though she would. She did not stay in her tent moping about it, nor did she cry. Instead the woman took it like a blade and let is slide off her like leather armor. When she emerged from her tent she heard Willy talking about her emotional unsuitability and how she killed their leader. Rather than confront him about it and handle it like her father would Bones simply walked up from behind him and placed a Axe in his skull. The deed however caused the bandit clan to explode in a frenzy of blood. On one side were bandits tired of Bones and her killing of their old leaders, and on the other the loyalist who believed she was the true leader and that her actions were justified. The bandit clan tore itself apart. The ground turned red with their own blood, but in the end Bones and her loyalist won the day. However they were not without scars.
After the self destruction of the Bandit Clan Bones and her men were too few in number and had too many enemies. The clan could no longer hold their position in sacae and retreated back to Bern before the clans they had wronged got word of the slaughter. Threatened by enemies Bones had to make a hard decision. Bones integrated her gang into another bandit group that was on good terms with them. The deal kept some of her lieutenants in high positions and kept the playing field even amongst her men and the other bandits. However in order to make the deal Bones was force to loss her position as Boss and was once again made second. Bones was now Second to the Skull Bandits.
