A Song of Posts and Gems

Alright, so I know we said the last system change was going to be the last one for awhile, but this next update should allow us to put the post quality issue to rest without criminalizing anyone who doesn’t feel quite ready to hit that 250 word count consistently.
First, we’re going to be changing our 250 word count minimum for post from a hard limit to a soft limit. What this means is that instead of enforcing all posts to be at least this big, we’re going to only reward post gold to those posts that exceed this minimum word count. The idea behind this is that because our character gold progression is tied into posts, we don’t want to encourage people to make low-effort posts to obtain our RP rewards while others are putting in extra-effort to RP. Hopefully, unlike the "minus 2 posts and 20 gold" system, this will allow posters still working on improving their post quality to continue to post without pressure of disciplinary action while yet continuing to encourage them to work on their RPing.
Additionally to bring our gold system in line with this direction, we’re going to be changing, or rather removing, the gem system, a system which has been entirely tied to posts. From here on out, players will no longer receive gems for reaching their 100, 250, and 500 post milestones. “But Richter,” you might ask, “What does this mean for our gem rewards?”
Well, first off, to compensate for the loss of the gold earned by these gems, we are going to be doubling the gold-per-post value once again, bringing it up to a grand total of 20 gold. This should also ensure a smoother reward progression, avoiding large sums of money being granted to the RPer all at once. Additionally, the skill/magic seal reward for weapon users is also being removed.
The follow changes are also occurring to compensate for the above changes:
-Master Seals are now removed from the shop. RPers automatically class up at 250 and 500 posts.
-Skills are now no longer level dependent. The skill must be purchased once for basic level, and twice for advanced level
-Magic and Skill seal prices have been reduced to 1000 gold
-Weapon seals for dragons are now 1000 gold
-Pre-promotes still have the opportunity to receive early gold, but will be placed in the negative to compensate.
-Weapons are all being repriced to 1000, 1500, and 2000 tiers respectively.
-Bow prices are being standardized to match other weapons
Thusly, everyone’s inventories will be reset, and their gold will be recalculated based off of their current post count. This will happen over the next week or so, so if you notice your inventory wiped, you know why. Just repurchase what you need. Because pre-promote starter gold has been rescaled to now be taken as a one time advance for a purchase, and not earned like a gem reward taken early, prepromote characters may find themselves either with negative gold or less gold then they would have expected. If you have any questions, please PM me.
Because this change makes gold situational, and not directly tied to your post count, the mods cannot go back and correct your gold later if issues arise. From here on out, all issues with post gold must be PM'd to a mod within 24 hours of the issue occurring, with a link to the post to have it corrected.
Finally, if you have loot or rewards given to your character outside of normal progression, gold or otherwise, please post them here, otherwise they will be lost.
NOTIFICATION: The plugin is currently not working for all users. While we diagnose this issue, I will be maintaining the hard limit. Another solution may be coming down the pipeline.
NOTIFICATION FOLLOW UP: I believe I have fixed the issue being seen with the plugin. If you notice any funny business with your gold, please notify a mod as specified above. Also, note that plugins DO NOT WORK on mobile. If you have to post on mobile, please use the Desktop version of the site, though I can't guarantee with 100% surety that that will solve the issue.
NOTIFICATION FOLLOW UP FOLLOW UP: The plugin works with some but not with others. As such, I have reverted to the old monetary system and I will manually be taking gold away to posts that do not meet the 250 word requirement.
