Appearance: Samantha stands at 5'11" and has clear blue eyes. Her ice-blue hair is often kept tied back in intricate ways, partially for style, partially to keep it out of her eyes. She wears a long purple cloak that reaches down to her legs and is tied around her neck over a blue shirt and white pants. While in her native Ilia, her shirt is long sleeved and she has a thick pair of boots. In warmer climates, she swaps in her long sleeve shirt for a much shorter sleeved one, her pants for a skirt, and her heavy boots for a pair of knee-high ones.
Personality: Samantha is a very calm and patient person. She can also be very quiet. This is sometime interpreted as being shy, but that's not the case. She simply only talks when she feels the need to, and is fine sitting in silence while other do. She enjoys the company of people and is very easy to make friends with, and will stay loyal to you once you do become friends. The one side of her that few people have ever seen is her being anger. It take a lot to make her drop her calm demeanor, but if you manage to do so, look out.
Story: Hailing from a small town in Ilia, Samantha, also known as both Sam and Sammy, is an only child. Her mother was once a well respected pegasus knight before deciding to retire to raise her, and her father ran a shop in town. They lived a nice, quiet life in Ilia, occasionally taking vacations to warmer places when they had the money. They weren't considered rich by any means, but they also were not poor either. Her parents were good at saving money and were able to provide her what she needed.
When she was a younger, she was often teased by the other kids for always being taller than everyone else. It never bothered her, however. She would just smile and be on her way, something that served as better revenge to those who teased her than trying to fight back. It was this calm demeanor that allowed her to excel in school, especially when it came to studying magic. Another thing that set her apart from her peers was just that, she loved studying. While the other kids played outside, she would sit by herself and read. That isn't to say she didn't have any friends, because she did, but it wasn't something she worry about. If she liked someone, they became friends. If someone didn't care for her, it didn't bother her in the slightest.
Once she had finished her schooling, she took up working in her father's shop for a little while. Her goal was to save up enough money to travel around and learn even more about magic. She had figured it would take a number of years to get the money she would need for such a trip. After only a few years, however, her parents surprised her with a gift. They, too, had been saving money for her to embark on her journey. She was elated. Barely a week after that, Samantha set out with promises to write home whenever she could and to visit if she ever found herself near home.
