Name:Cebron son of Cedidale
Class:Nomadic Trooper
Age:36
Born in:Cornwell, Lycia
Appearance:Cebron is in very good shape. That shape is a square. He is not very tall, however he is incredibly broad, having to turn a bit in order to get through most doors. He has thick layers of muscle, but also a small deal of fat on his stomach, but most of the time he merely appears burly due to his armor, or cloaks.
If he had the money to dress fashionably, and understood what styles of facial hair were popular, he could be considered quite handsome. Instead, he has a thick goatee, accented by an outrageously large moustache that he is rather fond of twirling, and if the money can be spared for it, waxing. He has green eyes and very bright green hair. In fact if one only looked at his hair and eyes, they would most likely think he was Sacaen. However, a closer look at his face reveals the hard jaw and broad nose of a Lycian.
Personality:Cebron is a complicated man. While very serious when there is a job to do, he is usually rather friendly when he has down time. He’s one of those people who says exactly what they are thinking, not really having a filter. Despite this he’s generally agreeable, preferring the company of others to solitude.
However, years of mercenary work have made Cebron’s morals questionable at best. Civilians being put in danger is his only real red flag. Most other things are a question of what helps him in the situation. Supporting this, the laws of country have no meaning to him.
Story:Cebron’s early life is much the same as his younger brother Cen. Raised on a Horse farm in Cornwell, hearing tales of his family’s past glories he longed to become a knight. his older brother left the nest so to speak when Cebron was seventeen, and Cebron followed two years later.
His father allowed him to take a horse from the farm, and unlike his older brother he did not join the army of another Lycian fiefdom. Instead, he traveled through Bern with a group of mercenaries, until he reached Sacae. Once there, he started to fight alongside the Kutolah tribe, learning how to fire his bow from horseback more effectively. Upon first joining the clan he had little experience, fighting in groups with tribesmen much younger than he as the tribe fought bandit groups from the mountains and rival tribes. Eventually however, he became a respected warrior, and despite being an outsider was eventually allowed to ride with the chief on hunts.
After a few years riding with the Kutolah, Cebron was offered a chance to betray a group of their warriors by the Djute, for a large sum of money. He took the offer, and returned to Lycia, where for a few months he supported a large mercenary troop. What would destroy them was Cebron’s taking a contract to fight on the side of the Bandit King. For a few more months they fought a vicious guerilla campaign against the forces of Hargus' enemies. He had learned hit and run tactics, and his men did not object to fleeing from larger or better armed forces. In a battle with a powerful force of Lycian cavalry, that he foolishly fought in the open with his own cavalry tired and weak, his forces were destroyed, Cebron being taken prisoner. At the end of the war, he slipped through the cracks, and managed to start up another mercenary troop, forging a fictional history for them which included fighting against Hargus.
The years since the bandit war have not seen Cebron involved in any great battles, preferring not to risk losing everything in a large conflict again. Instead, he has focused on contracts, taking out bandits because an order of knights in Etruria didn't want to get their hands dirty, intimidating a merchant train that had stiffed a village, whittling a few of the smaller Sacaen tribes down to a size that made their annexation by the larger tribes easier. In this time, he has attempted to make a name for himself as opposed to his troop, fighting often at the front line of the battle with his lance, or too close to the front line with his bow.
Despite some disillusionment with his childhood dreams, it is still a quiet hope that he could become a knight of Lycia. However, he enjoys his modern life, making Knighthood and the behavior attached to it seem too dull for the man while he’s still young.
