It was time. All the preparations were made and all the planning perfect. Euphemious was finally going to get his pay back for the smoke bombs on his training path. It took him a while to come up with something. Mainly because all of his first thoughts were banned by his code of chivalry. However this plan was completely legal. It did not involve hitting, stabbing, sabotaging, or even robbing. Instead Euphemious would get her back in the most classical and comedic way yet, a pie to the face. The preparations for this took a while. Euphemious first needed a pie and one that was not cooked in the kitchens of the fort. If they cooked pie the day Euphemious tried his plan she would probably see it coming. No Euphemious needed to do it on a day pie was out of the question.
In order to complete his plan Euphemious went out of his way and visited the nearby village. Using a supply run as a excuse Euphemious ordered and purchased the pie a week in advance and then picked it up this morning when he was picking up there supply of fire wood. Nobody knew he had gotten the pie and nobody was going to know. Euphemious did well to hide it from all other eyes in the fort. After receiving the pie the knight hooked it up to a contraption he had built just for this occasion. It was pretty much a miniature trebuchet with a few minor adjustments to make shooting the pie easier. Finally the hard part of Euphemious plan. Euphemious had to convince the red headed devil to come to the specific location. So the knight decided to use the most simple way. He asked her to come and talk to her about something important in the barracks. It was nothing special, but something he knew she would not pass up and that was about himself. He asked her to deliver a personal letter to a family member. He knew she would not pass up the opportunity to read Euphemious' personal letters so he knew she would show. Now it was a waiting game.
"Alright everything is set", spoke the knight as he looked at his room from the rafters of the castle. "Now all she has to do is open my door and bam! Pie to the face. Quite proud of myself for this one", spoke the Knight as he gloated in his victory. It was the first time Euphemious had let his childish side come out, and hopefully it would be the last.

Asri didn't know what Euphemious was planning but she could see that he wasn't sincere about his intention. A personal letter? That was just too fishy. The knight's ploy was simple but well-planned, almost perfect. However, he had made one fatal flaw...it was the bait. Asri jokingly asked herself why she couldn't remember the last time Euphemious opened himself to her or relax his guard when she was around. Simple, he never did. How could someone like him trust her with an personal item? There was so many reason for her to feel suspicious!! So basically, she already knew he had some kind of plan...or maybe she was wrong and the loyal knight was just too trusting, not sure.
And here she was...Standing like an idiot in front of Euphemious' room. Asri looked amused as she slowly and carefully walked toward the door, suspecting a trap. Well, the knight wasn't the type who would use bombs so she didn't need to fear triggering smoke trap or something like that. However, she still needed to make sure. Asri knelt in front of the door and tried to peek through the keyhole. She then gave up quickly. It was too narrow and dusty to provide a clear look about what or who was inside the room. She casually put her hand on the door knob and began pushing it. However, before she could open the door, a big hand rested on her shoulder and pulled her gently.
It was Aidan. The commander inquired why she was acting suspiciously in front of Euphemious room. The thief brushed his hand and started explaining her purpose, telling him that she was here to retrieve a letter. She didn't mention her suspicion for traps and quickly changed the topic with her usual dirty joke. Probably because he wanted to act like gentleman or he was simply curious, Aidan offered to open the door for Asri, which she gratefully accepted with cunning smile.
Everything went wrong when a pie was launched into the commander's face as soon as the door was opened wide. For Asri, this was very funny, although Aidan might not think the same. She failed to hold her laughter. The crimson-haired woman even had to lean against the wall to support herself so she wouldn't fall, holding her stomach which started to feel hurt. Because she was laughing out loud with her tears even starting to come out, Asri failed to catch what Aidan was saying when the rebel commander left in hurry. She didn't even see his expression so she couldn't know he was angry or not about this prank. Well, that face was covered with delicious pie so no one could tell what kind of expression he was right now, though.
"Brilliant!! I didn't see it coming. Do you see that Euphemious? You just PIED your boss! Hahahaha! Really! You will get fired and probably executed soon!" Asri managed to say something to her archenemy in the middle of her laughter. She actually didn't see the knight anywhere. She was unaware that he was on the rafter. However...It was easy to know that Euphemious must be nearby. People who set trap usually waited and hid in somewhere not far from the trap. "Come out, Euphie!! Come on! Your plan was a huge success!! I will give you a kiss as a present for making my day very entertaining!" she shouted, barely stopping her laughter.
Although his plan had failed, Euphemious might find a small consolation in the fact that Asri wasn't entirely spared from the pie attack. When it had hit Aidan, small portion of the sweets inside the pie had splattered into Asri's face and clothes. The thief herself hadn't noticed it, though.

"Well crap", spoke Eupehmious as he saw all of work turn into ruin. Everything was perfect, everything was right, but some how the maiden of the shadows managed to sniff him out. How did she even do it, Euphemious could not guess. Though he was already coming up with an excuse on why there was a pie trap in his room. Though he doubted Aidan would listen. He was probably going to loss a rank or two, or maybe be pushed back on the promotion list. Still that was a topic for another moment. Right now he was going to have to face Asri. The knight partially contemplated avoiding the maiden, but having her hunt him down would have been far worse annoyance to deal with. "Fine", spoke Euphemious as he grabbed onto a rafter and jumped down. The knight was not wearing his armor, which was a very rare occasion for him. Nearly all the time Euphemious could be seen in his fine plate armor. He wore it with pride as the steel was forged from his home province of Phoenix Falls and held the long forgotten crest of the Lowlander family. It was a small hint to the origins of the mysterious knight. Without his armor Euphemious looked less like a knight and more like a fighter. His massive shoulders and broad back stood out most of all. All the training he did while in full plate was truly paying off. "So what gave me away", ashed Euphemious as he walked over to the maiden. The knight was a bit sore about his plan failing. Mainly because he put so much effort into it. Hard work usually pays off, but in this case it seemed to have failed. Still the knight needed a way to get her back. Without saying a word Euphemious reached his hand over to the maiden's face and scooped a bit of the filling off. He then placed the finger in his mouth and savored what could have been his complete victory. "Blue Berry and raspberry pie", spoke the knight as he commented on the flavor. "Such a waste." Asri turned to the direction where Euphemious landed, hearing a creaking sound from the floor. Her laughter erupted again when he walked toward her. It felt even better than when her smoke bombs had pushed the knight to limit. The thief furrowed her brows when she noticed something amiss in his appearance. Did he get a haircut? No, still that spiky hairstyle. Did he wear a dress? No, that would be very weird. "Ooh, a knight without armor..." she thought. The knight was seen with his armor on most of the time so this new appearance kinda surprised her. Asri had even suspected that he slept and bathed while wearing his armor. She wondered if he would keep that heavy armor while riding too. Hopefully not...that would be too cruel for the horse. How about swimming? Eer, no...He would find himself in the bottom very quickly!! Stopping her silly thought, she took a quick look at him. It was her first time seeing those muscled body, strong shoulders, and nice abs. Asri licked her lips.
Observing his movement, Asri shifted her head a bit when the knight's hand reached out and touched her cheek. She didn't expect this. What was he going to do? But her worries disappeared when she realized that he was only trying to scoop the blueberry in her face. Wait...there was something in her face? She shrugged casually. It seemed she wasn't spared from the pie bomb, after all.
A smirk appeared in her face as she followed his example. The crimson-haired thief brushed her face using her hand, covering it with the sweet cream, and then licked her fingers erotically. "I don't know you like this kind of play, Greg. It seems that heavy armor has been hiding a naughty knight under it all this time. You like me more when I am covered with sweets, hmmm?" she asked jokingly, making a seducing expression. "It's not a waste, you know... I kind of like it...we should do it more often." she said, still licking her finger. It wasn't clear if she was serious or simply joking. For Asri, this was a usual flirting and teasing which she actually didn't expect serious response, her aim was simply to embarrass the knight.
"And to answer you question... Seriously! Do I really have to tell you? Oh whatever, I guess I can tell you," Asri's mood seemed to get brighter as she spoke. "It's clear that you never trust me, Greg. You have always been playing hard to get. And I like that... Okay, back to the topic... You're quite clever, honestly. But you missed one important point. The letter, which you used to lure me, was too good for a bait. I mean... it was weird as well. You of all people decided to trust me with a personal letter? It's normal for me to feel suspicious. A knight like you isn't suited for this kind of play, Greg. Your method was too clumsy and straightforward," she explained as she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer, winking.

Euphemious took a deep breath and gave off a long sigh. He should have simply pointed out the pie instead of trying to play her own game. She was far better at it than he was. If the knight could blush he would have blushed. Lucky for him his skin was of the darker tone and the blood that rushed to his face was covered by his skin. It was clear to Euphemious that he made three mistakes this day. The first was trying to beast Asri in her own game. It was a fools gamble. The second was thinking he was skilled enough to trick a thief. The last was giving her a portion of his real name. It was bad enough with her calling him Euphemious or knight. Now she was throwing it around like a farmer throwing seeds. It was the first time he had heard it in so long and yet it was starting to make him a bit uncomfortable. The name alone could not get him into trouble, but the idea that he was not giving them his true name could pose a problem. However Euphemious could not do anything about it. If Asri knew that he wanted her to stop she would most definitely repeat it to everyone.
"Always playing the flirt", spoke the knight as he calmly put his hands on her shoulder and moved her away. "You know you should watch that", spoke the knight as he walked into his room. He left the door open so that Asri could hear him, thought he doubted that she would stay outside of it. "Flirt like that with the wrong person and you can bring real trouble down on your head. Everyone is not a gentlemen like me", spoke Euphemious as he grabbed his breastplate off his bead and began to put it on.
To be truthful Euphemious was not as stone cold as he made himself out to be. Asri was beautiful, the knight could not deny that. Her words were also tempting, but Euphemious was a knight. As a boy the code of the gentlemen was beaten into him both literally and metaphorically. Even still it took everything he had not to act on his instincts. Naturally he needed some kind of distraction. So instead of simply standing next to her and endure her flirting Euphemious moved back to his room and began placing his armor back on. It was a good distraction and a head clearing technique.
"As for the pie", he spoke as he began to pull on the side strabs on his breastplate. It was difficult for a man to suit up by themselves. However Euphemious had got it down to a science. It would take him a bit, but he knew how to get it on. It was just one strap at a time. "Next time I guess I will have to try a more direct method. Probably just walk up to you and shove it in your face. Still I have to ask why me", spoke the knight as he moved to the first strap on the other side. "I am not talking about the flirting. You do that all the time with everyone else. I am talking about the general annoyance. Like setting up smoke bombs on the training ground or moving chairs before one sits down. As a matter of fact I don't get why you cause trouble in general", asked the knight as he got the second strap. He then moved back to the other side and began to strap in the second one.
This conversation was a long time coming. Many questions Euphemious wanted to simply ask the maiden, but he never really had the time or the place. Most of the time Asri was off bothering somebody else or him for that matter. It was about time that Euphemious understood how she thought. He knew his men very well and those he fought with often. However Asri was always a mystery to him. Though he could plan for mischief he never truly understood why.
