The shaman felt a brief twitch towards his lips, smiling lightly with a soft grin towards Mila moments before he felt his legs give out. However, she had simultaneously rushed forwards and pulled him close to her. So instead the boy simply crumpled into her, ashen bangs messily splayed to block most of his face even at he gazed up at her almost absently. As his body's adrenaline began to ease, he felt a sudden overwhelming flash of pain. His eyes widened, and a breathless gasp of exclaimed pain left his lips while the air fled his lungs. The shaman's skin had already turned ghostly pale, but the chill that washed over him was startling. Small crimson flecks fled his lips, which now contrasted the snowy white complexion of his skin. The boy was faintly aware of his surroundings, and felt sluggish in thought. As if the effort to ensnare thoughts was beyond his scope.
The slight points of pressure where Mila bound him, he felt a hypersensitiveness to the pain itself. He could not, however, actually find a means to respond. He was simply limp within her embrace as she treated his wounds. Even the ever present throbbing ache within his mind felt almost non-existent. The shaman tried to focus however. Within the back of his mind lingered that faint awareness. That acknowledgment that rested within as to the precarious nature of his situation. He had to keep aware. Even if the drowsy sensation made it an effort, as if weights had been tethered to his lids. Reguardless, he forced himself to focus on the small minute details. The shadow of her bangs. The roll of thunder as the storm raged onward outside. The feeling of faint droplets trickling through leaky holes in the ceiling down onto him. The pressure and tightness from the spots of his body where Mila wrapped with bandages. It was similar to him focusing to get out of his pain induced episodes; trying to slowly work hsi way back. As the shaman focused on these things, he slowly built upwards. Cognitive thoughts. Trying to expand his sensory.
He gazed at Mila with a tilt of his head and started to feel things ease back into focus. That was good. Now he just had to keep that up.

The mage continued to treat Drei's wounds. Her mind continued to block out most of the fears of the thunder for the sake of keeping her friend safe. After Drei's wounds were medicated and bandaged Mila was out of it. The mage fixated her gaze out onto the distance. Her mind wasn't fully aware of the moment or of the elements. People who had gone though traumatic things such as war often had this look. What some called the "thousand yard stare". Her hand still kept pressure on the worst part of his wounds. Her mind flashed back to the corpse of one of her companions. How his body stared up at her through the rubble.
She kept that strange gaze and silence for a while. Until the steady trickling of cool water seeped through the cracks from the floor above onto her head. She blinked lightly then looked around. A switch kind of turned on in her head and the sudden rush of emotions and realization of her situation just seemed to hit her at once. The zombies were dead.. well they died again. Drei was hurt. And yep.. it was still thundering. Her fears were still there. The brave face she held up while patching up Drei didn't last. She gritted her teeth as the tears started to form and fall down her face. She should count her blessings, Drei was alive.
"Dr-Drei.. Y..you.. idiot.." She finally managed to mutter.
"G..g..god's Drei.. what if .. it killed you? ..Been.. forced to be one.. of the living dead?" She found herself shaking lightly. Slowly she helped to pull the young shaman up so he was sitting up.
"..Do..don't move.. much.. the wound.. it.. could.. open.. futher.."

Drei had to close his eyes for a few moments. He wouldn't pass out, but it still felt like the greatest exertion in the world just to keep them open. Clarity now returning to the ashen haired shaman, he shifted ever so slightly while Mila exclaimed to his stupidity, before trying to slowly help him sit up more. Drei inhaled sharply to speak, only to feel the air slip out of his lungs while he coughed twice abruptly. The tightness of the bandages around his chest and mid torso kept him from moving enough to make the worst of it however; feeling his lips twitch into a grin as he looked upwards through a single eye that partially opened. All the while his snowy white bangs still covered mot of his face, causing him to see through a pale veil of silken strands of hair. "Ahh...If it's any consolation...I think I would make zombies look much better...ah..then they already are. "
His arm shifted off of his lower abdominal and dangled at his side. He could feel it, and move it. He instinctively twitched his fingers briefly to ensure; though the feeling of pines and needles creeping through his arm sent shivers down his spine. Drei hadn't lost the ability to move his body or anything, but at that moment with all the forces of exhaustion and weariness hitting him simultaneously he was simply very tired. The Shaman looked to the side, quietly observing outside of the house towards the darkened skies while he rested, still somewhat useless towards the actual moving aspect of life; hoping Mila didn't mind him just resting against her for a few moments.
Meanwhile...
-----------------
The Etrurian horse, effectively known to all who it concerned(Drei, Mila) as "Horsey" had wandered a bit from his spot. By the time the fighting had started, he was already almost twenty feet to the left and around the corner of a house. His hoof grated against the grass as the storm started to roll in, the horse eating what little damp grass there was while occasionally shaking his head and snorting. When the rain and thunder began to both respectively increase, the horse started to seek shelter instinctively.
Though he stopped to observe the sunken openings of a few ruined large wooden box like stables that humans seemed to live in, he only found one that he was able to make his way through. Wooden clopping sounds of hoof-steps echoed as the horse made his way up the little wooden deck and through the now forced open doorway. The portion above it had been damaged, and punched open as well it seemed. The horse, now standing within the house snorted as a familiar couple sat near the other side of the room from him. Horsey, had entered the room Mila and Drei were in.

"Zombies.. don't look.. good.. in the first place." Her voice was flat, then, she shook her head. It was a gradual process but eventually the storm of emotions that were in her head started to calm down. Her mind tired to focus and look on the positives of the whole situation. The monsters were dead. There wouls could be lain to rest. The storm would probably kill most of the village fire. They were both alive and dry. A trickle of water started to pour near her. Well mostly dry. The mage thought about getting up and looking for some kindling to start a fire at the fireplace. But that would mean getting up and leaving Drei on the floor. Which considering the worry he had put her though might not have been too bad of an option.
"We.. need some kindling.." She muttered before summoning an orb of fire out over her hand. Then looked around the empty room to find something to use for the fire.
"No.. sense.. in us.. getting sick.." She muttered once more. A noise from behind her distracted her. Oh no did we miss one? She jumped, got up abruptly, and turned around. There was a thud on the floor that was Drei. But when she turned to see what it was she calmed down.
"Horsey!" She walked over to the creature and gave it a pet on the head and snout. The creature was wet but ok. Mila quietly led the creature into the home so it could avoid the stray droplets outside. Well now that she was up and distracted the mage found some dry wood and made a small fire out of the fire place. The orange glow illuminated the darkened first floor and made things slightly less frightening.

"Haha..ah..it hurts to laugh...well..No, I guess Zombies Don't look good."
Drei lingered there before Mila suddenly jumped. The loud thump of Drei's limp body hitting the floor belittled the pain as the back of his head roughly hit the floor boards. However it took a few lingering moments before the pain hit Drei. The snowy haired shaman grunted as he opened to see stars with blurred vision. He blinked swiftly, attempting to shift onto his side and see better. His head was throbbing with pain and he couldn't feel half of his body, while the other half was in so much pain it made tears well up in his eyes. The Shaman shifted more as he looked, directing his gaze to the source of the loud snort that caught his attention.
There, standing with Mila leading it was his horse his parents had sent him away on. The white Etrurian stallion was inclined to follow Mila, but turned a bit to approach Drei and sniffed at the boy. Horsey's snout brushed his forehead and the hot jet of air as the horse snorted rustled his ashen bangs as the boy smiled half-heartedly with a hand rising to pat the creatures snout. He mumbled as he attempted to get up; but to no avail. "Ah...I guess it could be worse. Well...one big..ngh...this hurts..ah...haha..but I guess were one big happy family again yeah?" He shifted back over and leaned onto the side while starting to feel the warmth of the newly created flames washed over him. He started feeling drowsy, before the shaman passed out and slowly began to sleep.

Mila sighed softly as Drei went to sleep on the floor. The mage pulled off the cloak she had on and threw it over the shaman as a blanket. The mage gently pulled the horse closer to the fire and began pulling the things out of the supply pouches. She petted the horse again and glanced back at Drei.
"Well.. at least he will sleep well tonight." She spoke to the horse with a soft voice.
"I.. on the other hand won't be sleeping." She spoke with a bit of a somber tone as the thunder continued to rumble outside. She winced softly at the noise. The mage used the light granted by the fire to organize the items. She managed to string up a small clothes line to hang any of the wet clothes or wet blankets that were in the horse's bags. She then removed the saddle bags, the saddle, and the harness off of the horse. She pulled out from the bag a horse brush and started to brush the horse down. She used simple, gentle strokes to brush the horse's hair and mane. Grooming the hose proved to be a perfect distraction for Mila. It kept her focused on Horsey instead of the thunderstorm outside. Once the horse was groomed she tended to the fire and pulled out an old cookpot. Which she cleaned with rainwater and started to make a simple stew. By morning the storm had passed and now there was stew for breakfast. By late afternoon the three of them would take their leave of this village.
