The rider was more than forthcoming in his answers, admitting that he had little experience when it came to escorts. In truth he was a bit too honest, readily trusting another stranger with sensitive information. Ravvus had half a mind to warn the tragically naive man. Fighting would erupt around the caravan any second, and the blond did not look like the sort to survive such bloodshed. But instead the mage of short tempers decided to continue his charade. Obtaining the hidden egg, and maintaining his cover, was for more important to Ravvus than protecting the life of some traveling Lycian.
Ravvus glanced back and forth, maintaining his mask of anxiety, allowing himself to observe the new developments. Not much had changed. The large black general's men were still searching the caravan, although now the Bernese commander himself had approached the tantrum-throwing wyvern. Another man too, likely one of the caravan's mercenaries, was now in the creature's company. Ravvus needed to adjust his plans. There were too many people gathered around the wyvern now, too many eyes that would see his ember spell.
”Well the sooner they finish with this inspection the better! This is not what I signed on for.” Ravvus spoke, still trying to appear nervous. He wondered if he was overplaying his part. The coward was not a role well-suited for the mage. Indeed, Ravvus was a headstrong man, constantly trying to prove his strength and overcome his fears. To be playing such a polar opposite was difficult to say the least. The blond mage needed to find a way to part company with the rider, before the facade cracked.
And then the Lycian asked Ravvus his name. By the eight, couldn't he just leave the mage alone? ”My name...” Ravvus stated as if asking a question. Perhaps it was an overly cautious move on his part, but Ravvus had not been comfortable giving the smugglers his real name. He was, after all, planning to rob them. To offer them his real name would simply be an unnecessary risk. ”Travvus. Travvus Wenderly of Etruria.” The mage spoke, half-lying. He took a small measure of amusement from the play on words of his real name. ”That's with two v's.” His eyes perked up in interest as the Lycian revealed his nationality. ”You're an Ostian, really? I had you pegged for an Etrurian.” Ravvus spoke, for the first time with genuine interest. ”It's the blond hair.” He said, pointing to the rider's head.
Ace looked at the general and mentioned his surprise that the caravan might have been transporting a stolen good. Goodness, this man was thick. Had he really not picked up on any of the signs of foul play? The juxtaposition of spices and weapons was not enough? Had not the shady looking traders and mercenaries raised questions for the Lycian? Ravvus had half a mind to take pity on the poor man. But he didn't. "What? Contraband? And a wyvern egg of all things? Oh, this is not good." The mage turned, rambling to himself, and began walking away from Ace. Hopefully, the young man wouldn't follow.

As she continued to think of what else could be upsetting chewy the General of the group approached her. By this point most of the spices from the cart had been removed and chewy was now shifting her gaze around to the bags and crates that had been removed. As if she was looking for which bag or container the egg could be in. The general had asked her some questions regarding Chewy's behavior.
"Hm. No sir. She's normally pretty calm around carts and the like. But something about the spice cart has gotten her all worked up. Not sure if it's the scent of the spices itself.. or something else." Just then Chewy bucked lightly in order to drag Aria down to her face level.
"Woah!" She kept her forehead pressed down into Chewy's snout. Both rider and wyvern were looking into each other's eye. The wyvern gave a snort of some kind before gently pulling itself up letting Aria go back to her regular sitting position.
"Alright, Alright..." Aria sighed.
"You all are looking for a wyvern egg. Well, her royal highness over here." She spoke with a semi sarcastic tone at one of her many nicknames for Chewy's personality shifts.
"She smells something very wrong. My guess is that she might be smelling that egg you all are looking for. Or it could be nothing. Your men haven't found anything odd out of the bags of spies yet." She looked around. Everything seemed to be in order.
"Now.. I can't exactly have my wyvern here snoop around the bags and boxes or the cart. She's not exactly.. delicate with other people's property. Last thing I want to do is be responsible for accidental conflicts.. or the destruction of property I cannot possibly pay for." She turned her glance out towards Chewy. Her wyvern knew what Aria meant. Last time Chewy destroyed something that didn't pertain to either of them, both rider and wyvern had spent a week working off that debt. There was a bit of a huff and growl from Chewy. The wyvern took a few steps back.
"I'd check it myself sir. But my station states other wise.. this is an issue with your contraband department.. not the border.. gua!!" The wyvern bucked again with intention to shake Aria off. But the rider was strapped in and wouldn't move off her perch. In two swift motions of her arm Aria had managed to lasso Chewy's mouth with the harness and bring Chewy under control. A testament to her skill as a rider and understanding of her wyvern's movements.
"I'm strapped in you dolt!" Another few movements and the lasso came off. Aria gave a heavy sigh. She unstrapped herself and gently tapped her foot to her wyvern's shoulder. The wyvern gently lowered herself down, and Aria slowly jumped off.
"You are going to get me in trouble." She approached the General.
"Sir.. while.. I physically cannot help you search. I can.. offer advice.. tell you right now just by looking at the bags the egg isn't inside one of them. It probably isn't in the crates either.. since that would require a change in orientation of the egg. Which could damage the growing wyvern inside." Aria wasn't about to go into the science and maintenance of wyvern eggs.
"No.. one looks like they are panicking yet.. If the egg is here.. then.. it must be somewhere in the cart."

The people that stopped his caravan had been talking about a stolen wyvern egg and this group may be trying to smuggle it out of Bern. The only reason the government of Bern is concerned because wyvern were weapons to them, and nothing more. That only angered Liam, wyvern were kin to dragons, they were better than humans and shouldn't be used as tool. Those foul smelling spices were being removed but a decent amount of them were still on the cart. Liam began to crack his knuckles. He began to talk as he walked towards the front of the cart. "I guess this is where I-"
Liam stopped walking once he got to the front of the cart, brought up his fist and brought it down smashing the beam connected to the yoke. If one to pay very close to Liam's features they would notice a change in his pupil as well as the skin on his arms looking drier than before. "part ways with everyone." Figuring the chances of the egg still being on the cart were still high he knelt down grabbing the cart before lifting it over his head and standing up straight. The way he tore through the wooden beam as well picking up the cart like he did made it look like it was all made of just paper.
"This cart, and it's contents, now belong to ME. If you want it back, you'll have to take it by force and I'd advise against it." He said with much anger. There goes his ticket to crossing the boarder, oh well there will be another day. For now the only thing that Liam was worried about was the fact the wyvern inside the egg, if it remained unharmed, had a chance at a free life.

"Search the cart itself", spoke Euphemious as he heard the rider's words. She was proving to be useful despite being one of his problems. The General at this point expected the man who greeted him to attack him and his lads. However before any of them could do anything a loud cracking sound could be heard and the cart itself was lifted off the ground by a man, of what Euphemious considered to be of small frame. At first Euphemious was simply shocked about what he was seeing. However after a quick look into his eyes the General knew what he was dealing with. Cold sweet began to run down his head and a primal fear began to build up in his chest. "Dragon", whispered Euphemious to himself as he understood just what kind of situation he and his men where in.
"Put down the cart", shouted one of the soldiers as he drew his blade and began to move toward the individual. It was a stupid move in all regards, thought Euphemious as the man had just piked up a cart and your going straight toward him. All he had to do was drop the cart on you and you where dead, not to mention he was strong enough to pick up a cart. What in the world was Tom going to do. Holding his right hand out Euphemious blocked the man's path with his Guan Dao. "Hold a second", he spoke as he got his men to stop. The general then turned toward the fake old man with the axe. "I think it is best if you pulled your men off he is not a opponent that you can take."
"Euphemious stop being a coward", spoke another one of the soldiers as he rushed passed the general. The burly man ran forward with his axe, around the cart, smarter than Tom, and attempted to attack the man with his axe. Euphemious doubted that his assault would end well, but in that moment he turned toward the rider. "Take to the skies immediately", he shouted the General expected it was going to be one wild ride.

Lucius was frustrated, frustrated at bad luck, frustrated with incapable workers, and frustrated with this whole ordeal as it was, but now things were becoming something else entirely. He was simply stunned, one of his mercs just picked up the cart and declared what was within, but more importantly, HE PICKED UP THE CART!!!
"Back my men off!? You want me to turn tail from this craven backstabbing coward! There are far more of us than him, I don't care if he has Herculean strength." Shouldering his heavy battle axe Lucius stood straight and commanding. "Be careful boys, but give this treacherous scum hell!" His loyalists cheered and quickly rushed in to do battle with a lone man.
Lucius was more concerned with the traitor than the egg at the moment. Despite his storied hatred and lust for 'vengeance' on the dragons for making a fool of him he did not realize one stood right before him, ruining his biggest run to date.
Lucius walked forward with an intimidating calm, his breath was heavy but even, a wicked grin crossed his face and he seemed to fade from consciousness, he was going to go berserk. "HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!! General, let's deal with this filth and then be on our ways."
He had a cart in his hands sure, that strength made him incredibly dangerous, naturally. But there were a few problems this traitor would need to overcome. 1. He had to ensure the egg's safety, to swing a cart around like a hammer would do nothing but threaten that safety. 2. He was vastly outnumbered. 3. If Lucius goes down it would create a nasty blast. Of course, Liam was a dragon.

OOC: (Just got back from my trip. Sorry for the late response)
”Travvus. Travvus Wenderly of Etruria,” responded the young blonde man to Ace's former question regarding his name. Ace felt a little better since this Travvus seemed just as nervous as he was. ”You're an Ostian, really? I had you pegged for an Etrurian. It's the blond hair,” Travvus said with what seemed like curiosity as he pointed to Ace's hair. The young cavalier thought about to for a second.
"I never really thought about that. I believe the blonde hair came from one of my grandparents. I've never met them, but my mother said that her father had blonde hair, so maybe he was Etrurian. I'm not sure." Ace wondered what his grandparents were like. He wished he could have met them before their passing.
"What? Contraband? And a wyvern egg of all things? Oh, this is not good." Travvus begun to walk away and ramble to himself. Ace was about to follow when something interesting happened. The girl with her wyvern was still near the cart with the Bernese general, but then a new man Ace never noticed before came up to the cart that was perking up all the interest. He actually somehow lifted the cart with one arm. Ace's jaw practically dropped. The cavalier wasn't sure whether he should run or help since the older man in charge seemed to be shouting and getting quite angry.
I need to see how this man is doing this. What is he truly capable of? Ace ventured forward slowly towards the action as questions continued to pop into his head.

Ravvus was in the midst of rounding the corner of a wagon when his ears were assaulted by the loud snapping of wood. He turned around, startled, and laid his eyes upon an unbelievable sight. One of the caravan guards, the man who'd been interacting with the nosey wyvern, was literally hefting the spice cart above his head. Ravvus was struck with awe. He'd heard of strong men who could tap into their natural energy and receive a brief burst of immense strength, but such men were not supposed to maintain that strength for more than a few seconds. The sight before him was an impossibility. ”By Brammimond...” He swore in a breathless mutter.
But the mage was not one to be star struck for long. His awe quickly turned to ire, as he realized that the man intended to make off with the hidden treasure. The young blond had not spent his last few days traveling with these smugglers simply to be robbed of his prize. This upstart strong man would not be claiming the egg without a fight.
Ravvus cast caution to the wind. The tender, anxious mask of Travvus Wenderly shattered as the mage shot a hand into his travel satchel. He wrapped his digits tightly around the spine of his fire tome. The blond man tore the book from its' carrier, leveled it to his chest, and split the book open. In a low howl, Ravvus commanded a greater fireball into being. The orb was volatile and unstable, a reflection of its' caster's mental state. The mage cast the magical sun forward, igniting a trail of grass as the missile sped toward it's target. The time for subtlety was over. Ravvus' eyes burned brightly and his blood boiled. A great fight was about to ensue.

Aria looked on in a bit of a shock as the white haired stranger who had comforted Chewy suddenly exclaimed that the contents of the cart belonged to him. And then proceeded to lift the wagon with his arms.. and keep it lifted. Woah! Then the general ordered her to take to the skies. Aria glanced back at Chewy who sat there watching. Her body language all but showing Aria that she had no intention of taking off. She was going to sit patiently and wait. Aria wasn't sure what Chewy saw in the stranger, but she was being oddly submissive. Normally Chewy's feisty nature would cause her to be all over this sort of action. But it was as if the wyvern knew not to mess with this man holding the cart.
"Be careful with that sir! The egg is in there!" Oh stars above please don't drop it! Aria on the other hand couldn't care less what sort of issue was going on between the man, the smugglers, and the contraband guard. All she wanted to do was secure the egg's safety. Chewy was of an age to properly mother eggs and given her frantic reaction towards the spice cart she seemed to have already accepted the egg possibly as her own.
"Chew! Don't just lie there!" She spoke to the reddish wyvern. The wyvern gave a snort of through it's nose, she clearly wanted no part of this. Aria's shoulders drooped and she let out a sigh. She approached her wyvern and got back onto it's saddle.
"Fine. FINE. Don't help! Can we at least fly back to the captain and report what is going on? Last thine we need is a blood bath between these guys and the rest of the civilians that are trying to pass through the gates."
With that logic in mind Chewy rose and took to the sky. Aria had no control over her mount as the red creature flew out towards the rest of the border patrol. She gave a report to what was going on to her superiors, they began to mobilize and move the citizenry away from the situation. However they did not engage the wagon or the people involved. They would rather have them fight it out and arrest the winners rather then get their hands dirty. Aria scoffed at that notion. She asked what they would think if they damaged the wyvern egg? To that they responded that Bern has plenty of wyverns to replace that one egg and that more eggs would be made in it's place. Although this logic of thinking wasn't wrong statistically, but it left Aria with a bit of bad taste in her mouth.
"If that's the way you guys are going to be thinkin then I quit. I return to my life as a freelance." Traces of her wyvern farmer life emerged in her speech whenever she was upset or flustered. She stormed out of the office and got back on to Chewy.
"Come on Chewbone.. they an't going to help defend the egg either. I know you don't want to fight them.. but you.. WE can at least help the strong guy holding the egg hostage. And if somethin happens to him then the egg is destroyed what then?" She huffed. She gave Chewy and bit of a kick off and the two of them went back into the air. Aria drew her lance and was ready to help defend the man with the cart. Of course she would have to find someway to tell the man that.

Lifting the cart with the power he had to tap into was no problem, but maintaining it over his head would require more. Tapping into more power would also alter his appearance more than it has, but now it did not matter because there would be a fight on his hands. As the unfortunate humans began to scurry around him Liam's skin began to darken as it turned into scales, his biceps as well as his other muscles began to bulge in his clothing. The amount of power he was drawing was enough to hold the cart over his head like that, no he would require more if he was going to fight.
Liam had grew six inches, as well as his frame to accommodate the height change. His jaw had become more square like as his chin made a small point. Liam didn't expect one of them to attack so soon, a fireball was launched in his direction smacking him dead center in the chest. That caused him to take a single step back, his shirt was on fire now as he roared in pain. His scales were far to soft to ignore the fire burning him, quickly shifting the cart to one hand he ripped the burning cloth from him, if he was to attack that child with the magic was going to be the first to go.
Now that his hand was easily visible the changes to it was noticeable. They were much larger, it had looked like his pinkie and ring finger were beginning to fuse together as well as his finger nails turning more into claws. This still wasn't enough power for him to draw from the stone, while it was true that more power would make it easier to wipe the group out he would have to resolve this without violence.
If there was a full on fight the chances of the egg being damaged were high. Liam grew a couple more inches as tiny spikes began to form on his spine, as well as two nubs on the back of his shoulder blades where his wings would burst from during a full transformation. Tips of his horns began to poke through his hair on the back of his head.
"Your tenacity is admirable, but pointless. You ride into the jaws of the apocalypse. There is no shelter from my fury. Your armor means nothing, your faith even less. The sun sets on your pitiful mortal existence. I. AM. DEATH."

Honor, Fear, Obligation, and Death, those words ran through Euphemious mind as he began to stare off at a challenge he was suppose to face. He was honor bound as a sergeant of the rebellion to retrieve the stolen egg. Fear shook him to the bones as he had a idea of what they where facing. He was obligated as there leader to stand with his men to see the job through, and death. Death was simply waiting, waiting for fire to spew from the beast mouth.
"Release the cart now and return the egg", spoke Euphemious toward the dragon. He wanted to run. He wanted to flee. In his mind things would turn out the way they did the last time he ran into a dragon. His armor would be smashed, his body would be broken, and death would be near, but Euphemious was still a honorable knight of Bern. It was his job to get back this egg. If a bandit had been holding the cart he was still expected to fight and retrieve the egg. If a bear had stolen the egg he was required to kill it. If a wyvern had taken the egg he would be forced to do the same. A dragon was basically all three of those mashed into one along with a mage. Well several sages if you want to be exact.
"Men hold a line", shouted Euphemious stopping his two charging idiots! The general began to walk ahead of everyone else. "Hold a second old man", he spoke as he talked to Lucius. "Let me handle this." Walking up to range of the cart Euphemious stared into the eyes of the nearly half shifted dragon. If he had not meet Aeos beforehand he would probably be trembling with fear. Memories of Drax flowed back to him, but Euphemious fought them back with courage and honor.
"So you are a dragon I take it", spoke Euphmious loud enough for everyone to hear. "If so I suggest that you put down the cart and go on your way. Your people are low in number as it is and the thief of a Wyvern Egg is below you and your people. I don't know how you feel about humans and to be truthful I don't care. However you are now making yourself my problem and trust me, you don't want to be my problem. Now you have three choices in this matter. A, you can put down the cart and go about your business. We won't follow you and you can do as you please. B, you can full transform and become full fledged dragon. In that fight I will probably loss and most of my men will die. However you will make yourself a enemy of Bern and will probably be hunted down like a dog or a trophy to be had. Then there is option C. You could try your best to somehow get us humans to fight amongst ourselves and then crush the weaken enemy that remains. That choice is more than likely not going to happen. So Dragon what choice will you make", spoke Euphemious as he stared into the beast one eye.
Though Euphemious had to admit one thing. This man was far bigger than he thought. Euphemious figured he was taller than he was, but after he walked up to him he could see there was a clear size difference. He would have to be careful of that in the future. If he has a future that is. Mostly his life and the life of everybody here was depending on what choice this dragon made.

Lucius was moments from completely letting go but even he held himself back the moment the man turned another breed of beast. It started with a low humming and gradually it turned into a roar, and then a mad laughter. Of course this would happen to him. He hunted the legends for years until even he was near convinced they did not exist, he tried moving on by joining Durandon and now, now a dragon dared to show themselves before him as an enemy. He tried to be angry; he really did, but the irony of it kept him at bay with a hallowed and mad laugh.
"Your kind are a right lot of b@$$7@7*$ you know that?" He lowered his axe to the ground as though he no longer wished to fight. "Stand down men! This is no fight you want a part of." Most had already completely turned tail and ran from the 'monster' anyway but the braver ones stopped and listened, well, all but one.
"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!" was all he said, then there was a thunk sound and the cracking and shattering of a sword. One mercenary struck from behind Liam and shattered his sword uselessly against his toughened body.
Lucius did not expect much damage but none at all? His eyes widened in terror, and excitement. "Hmm..." This would be a worthy match. "I can not tell you how to conduct yourself in this matter but... HAH!!! I have never seen such a foe before. I will have quite a bit of fun with this." Stepping forward Lucius belted a proper challenge. "DRAGON! If you are no coward I offer a duel. Leave the cart aside and fight with me properly. If you are the victor I leave you the egg with my blessing." If not, Lucius honestly had no idea.

Ace's eyes widened to a state that nearly no human could achieve. This "human" had transformed into a beast. Not just any beast, but something ... magnificent. Ace watched the dragon with awe as it revealed its power. The cavalier remembered how his mother spoke with tales about dragons, but the Ostian never believed they were actually real. The dragon appeared to be black and red and was quite large.
How can this creature be defeated? No, it isn't a creature. It is a dragon, a being that once shared the land with humans. Dragons ... did they deserve to be killed long ago? Should the remaining ones deserve the same fate? Ace wasn't sure what to think about the dragon. He knew that his mother believed dragons didn't deserve to be killed long ago. She believed that they should have been left alone and that both humans and dragons should have lived together peacefully. Ace always wondered what the world would be like now if dragons stayed alive with the humans. However, it seems they were already living among humans all this time unbeknownst most humans.
Suddenly, a mercenary seemed to charge the dragon and attack it's leg with a sword. It didn't seem to do anything, which isn't shocking. Then, it seemed that the man that was in charge of the caravan, Lucius, was shouting at the dragon about a duel or something.
What a fool! He's going to get himself killed! I don't want anyone to die here. No one deserves to die here. Ace prodded his horse, Troy, forward towards the fight. The naive and young cavalier wanted to protect the wyvern egg, the mercenaries, the border man, and the dragon from getting harmed. However, deep down Ace knew that wouldn't be possible.

Ravvus stood there, dumbstruck. It wasn't the fact that his fireball had accomplished little more than staggering the colossal man, although the sight had indeed astounded the mage. It wasn't even the fact that said man was growing scales. That was weird, sure, but the creature was probably just another one of the demon spawn that had crawled from the burning hole that was now Ostia. No. What astonished the blond man was the fact that he had been wrong. For some reason, every one of the mercenaries, and soldiers, had simultaneously lost their spines. Not one of them wanted to fight the great beast. The great fight Ravvus wanted to ensue was not about to ensue.
That's when he heard it. A dragon? The ancient engines of destruction? The beasts that could supposedly only be slain by one of the eight weapons of old? Ravvus did a double take, examining the scaly man once more. The man was bigger than the other men, that was for sure. He had scales and a resilience to fire. But a dragon? No. Absurd. Dragons were gigantic lizards. Massive animals. Their skin was armor. Their exhales flame. But what they saw before them? Likely just some poor fool possessed by the nether. Some incompetent who'd been consumed by elder magic and now served demon-kind. This man was not a dragon. Little did Ravvus know that the mysterious rock in his satchel was glowing dully.
The blond mage observed as the leader of the caravan challenged the not dragon to a duel. That was good. With any luck, he'd slay the beast, then the soldiers and the mercenaries would skirmish over the egg, and Ravvus could steal the treasure in the confusion. And if not, well, the mage would just have to improvise. The young man folded his arms across his chest, ready to watch the duel.
Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder spin him about. Ravvus found himself about face with a metal fist in his gut. The mage felt the air evacuate from his lungs. Damnit. That was the worst. Getting the wind knocked out of you. The mage slumped to his knees, briefly drained of his strength. He looked up to see a heavily armored knight, who was then approached by a thuggish man toting an axe. “Restrain this idiot before he tries to piss off the dragon again.” Ravvus gasped, trying to refill his lungs with air. The thuggish man walked onward to observe the duel, leaving the knight to finish the job. ”It's not...” The mage coughed, still recovering from the blow. ”It's not a dragon!” He chided, angry at the two incompetent mercenaries. The knight answered him with a right hook, drawing blood from Ravvus' nose, and sending him crashing to the earth.

Chewy maneuvered herself and went higher into the sky. She could sense the power coming off the stranger with the cart. And Aria was simply left watching over the side of her wyvern in a horrified and very confused manner. The stranger grew.. and was changing. Into something. She thought ti was some kind of monster at first but then she looked over at Chewy then back down at the man again. Both Chewy and the "Cart-Man" were kinda sorta starting to look alike. At least from her perspective.
"Is he a friend of yours?" She half joked to her wyvern. The wyvern roared clearly not amused by her humor. Aria fought to gain control over Chewy's movements.
"Well.. monster or no.. our job is to protect that egg.. land!" The wyvern shook itself in a manner similar to a wet dog shaking off the excess water. It was enough to force Aria to hold on to her saddle and jostle a bit in her seat. Clearly Chewy did not want to land on the ground where the drama was. Aria pulled the reigns hard again, and arched her body so she was closer to her mount's neck.
"LAND!" She ordered. The wyvern stopped flying in her circular pattern. The wyvern flapped it's wings in order to keep itself in the air. Aria continued to fuss and fumble with the reigns but Chewy wasn't having any of it. The wyvern really didn't want to land. Chewy was preoccupied in keeping them both safe from the ancient creature below. But Aria was not about to abandon her duty to protect the egg. She would keep wrestling with Chewy until the wyvern complied. Chewy... eventually complied to land, only after the wyvern had flown far away from the field.

Liam knew his ampped up transformation wouldn't cause the thrill seekers to back down, no he knew it would cause them to become more bold. He has been playing the numbers game the whole time, instead of having to deal with two sets of swarming pest with their weapons or their imitation magic he now had to deal with those who had come to terms with their death wish.
It had seemed as if one of the pest thought they'd try a sneak attack upon the partially shifted dragon, he could feel the steel shattering upon his lower back's scales, a shard made it's way past some of his scales and pierced his flesh. Liam roared in pain, the man had attempted to escape but due to Liam's long arm span he got his claws on the man's skull and lifted him up, then moved his body where he could see the other man in an eye patch with blood trickling down his face.
"I'd keep my pets on a shorter leash if I was you." The man began to cry out in great pain as Liam started to apply more pressure on his skull, blood now gushing down his face as Liam's claws dug in deeper. Liam knew if he applied any more pressure he'd crush the man's skull, letting go before that happened the man fell to the ground like a rag doll. It wasn't an act of mercy, but a reminder of who was on the top of the food chain here. Now he was challenged to a duel by the 'noble' and 'heroic' leader of the caravan, the winner gets to keep the egg. His initial response was a chuckle.
"Your bold faced lie falls upon deft ears pitiful human. You cannot expect me to believe that one of your men, or the border control will try to steal my egg. All of your goals are to safely retrieve the egg where mine is to prevent it from falling into a human's hand. I am free to do what I please with the things I own, which includes smashing this cart and everything on it." To ensure victory gotta crack a few eggs sometimes, eh? Liam knew whatever he was going to do, it would have to be soon.
