I believe that Nun-chucks should be added to the exotic weapon area. It doesn't quite fit anywhere in the weapon triangle, and it would be interesting and would add a bit of flavor if it was added to exotics.I believe The closest relative to nun-chucks in the group would be the whip or staff, which barely relates to the nun-chucks in terms of possible fighting styles.

It could be a exotic axe. Since axe now holds blunt weapons

Nah, Nunchucks were believed to originate with martial arts used exclusively by aristocrats and axes don't quite come to mind first when people talk of martial arts. And nun-chucks have to be handled much differently than any other conventional weapons. They require quite a bit of dexterity and finesse.

But aren't nunchucks, well, a little silly? I mean, How could you fight someone wearing armor with nunchucks?

I think they could honestly just be an exotic whip. There is no reason they /can't / be and most exotic weapons cover a fairly broad range. Nun chucks seems horribly specific.

Whips already are exotic, so you want an exotic exotic? The only real thing that whips and nun-chucks have in common is that they both have a flexible bit.
And I think You are underestimating the power you can put into nun-chucks. If you had, say, a pair of metal/hardwood nun-chucks then you could put a in dent armor easily. Plus, what chance do regular swords have of getting through armor?

Silly Don fighting armor with fist is easy. All you have to do is simply punch through your opponent with all of your might. Your fist will pierce straight through the steel and put a hole through there body.

While I have no problem with Nunchucks, they're really just a flashy exhibition weapon, but I'm totally cool with them here and think they're awesome. Against an opponent with nothing, they're great for a master, but a sword/axe/lance/light magic/dragon they wouldn't be great. That said, I'm pretty sure they were in the whip section before, and the weapon categories are incredibly vague (magnus). Whip basically means a thing gets flung around, but I could see rods/axes being a required part of having them.
Also, BUto is 100000% correct.
