Name:Galahad
Class: Acolyte
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Appearance: Galahad is a young man standing five feet and ten inches tall. He has black hair and dark brown eyes. His skin is as dark brown color, which stands out well with his deep blue cloak. Under that he wears a red shirt and a pair of white pants that are stuffed into a pair of black steel toe boots. As far as muscle tone goes Galahad is in the middle. He is not buff, but he is not a stick either.
Personality: Galahad has a very stubborn personality. Once he decides something there is no way of changing him. The only thing that would persuade him from doing something would be seeing somebody else fail at it or being ordered too. Despite the fact that he behaves like a boar Galahad has a great respect for officers of Tania's forces. Those who rank above him he will listen to without question. Equal or bellow and he would hardly pay you any mind.
Background: Galahad was born from a single mother in Tania city. His mother use to be a barmaid before she meet his father. The two of them shared a drink and a night in bed and Galahad was the result. However his father was a mercenary and a rolling stone. He was not around when Galahad was growing up. As a result the mage grew up the neighborhood bastard. As a child Galahad was made fun of about it by the local kids and as a result the young boy got into a lot of fights. These fights is what planted the seed for Galahad's boarish personality.
Seeing her son going down the wrong road Galahad's mother decided that her son needed to get out of the city for a while, or at the very least go some place where he would not get into fights. Hearing about a boarding school for aspiring mages Galahad's mother figured this would be the perfect place for her son to stay out of trouble and learn a useful trade. At the age of twelve Galahad was sent to Tania's Collage of Magical arts. There he took up board and studied the arts of magic.
As Galahad studied magic he was presented with the three major schools, Anima Magic, Light Magic, and Elder Magic. Elder Magic was powerful and would have been Galahad's first choice. However his mother, hearing about the event beforehand, sent a letter forbidding him from studying it. With only Light and Anima left Galahad began to take class leaning toward learning Anima magic. His choice was mainly due to Anima being stronger than light. However that choice was soon denied to him as his mother heard a rumor about a young mage burning himself alive. By the word of his mother Galahad was forced to study the light, which he complained about through his entire time studying at the collage.
By the time Galahad was sixteen years old he had pasted the basic class and was moving into the more advance work. He had very little talent in light magic, manly due to his nature, but he worked hard to improve. The trick about light magic was all about faith. Galahad believed in himself, but very little in anything else. However he made up for his lack in religious devotion by placing his faith in the cycle of the world. Everything would always move in a steady cycle. The sun would rise and the sun would set. Using his belief in that Galahad was able to power his magic effectively.
During his stay in the collage magic was not the only ting Galahad studied. He also learned of history and literature. The students where encouraged to expand there horizons with books and old stories that where written down on scrolls. Galahad himself took a liking to the tale of the first Marquest of Tania and gained a deep rooted patriotism. That patriotism bleed over into his personal career choice.
After Galahad graduated at the age of 18 he could be considered a full Acolyte, or Light Mage if you asked him. He had the skills and the practical training to use magic in battle. However he lacked real combat experience. While other students stayed around and began to expand there knowledge of the arcane Galahad took this as a opportunity to join up with Tania's army. Mages was most definitely needed and Galahad had the heart. The young acolyte was far to willing to march in place and follow orders of the officers. He wanted to see Tania grow and expand. They had lost so much since the days of old. Merio had done well to bring them back, but Galahad hoped that he could one day push them even further.
