So she was after the dagger, thought Orcleous to himself as she dodged and moved to the corner. It was to be expected. Daggers where her specialty. She was quick on her feet and once she got close she would have the advantage. However she had to get close. That was the whole trick with daggers. They where super effective in close range, but poor in both medium and long rang combat. The hero took a deep breath as his eyes began to focus on the maiden. He was going to need to act smart about the entire situation.
Orcleous charged forward with his sword held in the high guard. The hero brought the sword down as if he was going to swing straight down with the sword. However as the blade rushed toward the ground Orcleous shifted his hands and turned the once downward slash into a faint. The true attack came in a swinging motion that began on Orcleous left side and ended on the right. It was a diagonal slash that Orcleous aimed to catch the fair maiden as she rolled. The idea in mind was that the maiden would roll toward the right. He had been watching her and he came up with a theory. If she moved the other way then he was wrong, but if she rolled right then he would be, well right.
As Orcleous swung the sheathed blade he worried a bit. He was not so sure from the sign that she gave earlier that this was still a dual to her. People had been known to snap under certain conditions. She had enough bagage in her past to make it plasable. Orcleous would have to still keep his wits about him.

As Orcleous started his attack, she jumped back then saw him press with two diagonal slashes. Jumping fully to the left, she would say out loud. "Night mother...guide my blade." Then went for him. Running towards him, she would jump to the left again where a pillar stood. Reaching out, she hooked her arm on it, Claira's body lifted up and she aimed her feet right at Orcleous. Much like he did, she changed up her tactic. Letting go of the pillar, she expected one of two things.
One, he gets thrown off guard by the kick. She would roll backwards and get back up ready for another attack.
Two, he would block her. Claira would lay on the ground looking up at him with a smile Then say. "You know how to show a lady a good time, eh?"

"What the", spoke Orcleous as he heard the maiden's words. He had heard her say that phrase before, but he never knew the meaning. Was it religious, was it just a phrase, or was it something somebody said to her. It was a question for later. However one thing was for sure, his theory was bogus, pity really. Well he would just have to readjust. Using the pillar she moved into a aerial attack again. This time instead of using a blade she used her body. It was a wise decision considering she was using a knife. At the same time it was a bit foolish. What would happen if her opponent had a spear or if Orcleous was fast enough to slash her. Then again he did not have a spear, nor was he fast enough to slash her. So they where both mute points.
As the maiden came at Orcleous the hero moved off his instincts. As the maiden flew toward him Orcleous side stepped and girpped the sword with both hands. He watched as the maiden landed and then adjusted his aim to fit where he figured she would move. With both hands he swung down with his sword aiming to cut off her path with a downward swing.
Her acrobatics where good, but they had the flaw of being too flashy. To much spin. It made it possible for Orcloeus to realize what was going on and how to get out the way. Though Orcloeus had no right to talk about spinning and acrobats. His last battle and his final attack added them all into one.

Once she landed, like she figured she would. She didn't bother to move, the wind was knocked out of her briefly. Seeing the sword just above her waist, she would turn her head and look at him with a smile. Panting hard from both the work out and the spar combined, she would then say. "Well now Orcleous, you sure do know how to show a woman a good time." Winking at him, she pushed herself out from underneath the sword. Once she did so, she would stand up and lean against a pillar. "Wooh...need to relax for a moment. Head feels dizzy..." Sliding down the pillar, she sat down on the floor and steadied her breathing. Closing her eyes, she had to calm her heart rate as well. This was the most fun she has had in a long time. Thinking about her training, she could see that there was alot of flaws in her fighting style and Orcleous has shown it multiple times in the course of this spar. Thinking in her head, "How could I match up to him? Can't even get close to him for any of my attacks...how can I best him? He's got skill, strength, and he does have speed when he's not wearing that heavy bulky armor...how...How...HOW?!?"
Opening her eyes, she had the feeling he was going to say something. Most likely to point out all her flaws. Sighing to herself, she could see it coming and she couldn't be mad for it. It was one way for a person to learn of their mistakes. It could mean life or death. IF this wasn't a spar, she wouldn't have been dead already. But she was glad he was her friend and not a foe. That would have sucked majorly.

As the maiden gave up Orcleous let out a sigh of relief. It seemed that he was wrong again. Her voice earlier had confirmed it, but he had to be sure. He was betting his life on it after all. Still she was pretty good, but she needed to eliminate a lot of useless movements and focus on her strengths. Fighting was something that you learned from both your mentor and your own body. She would need to keep up her training and work hard.
"You know for a second there I thought you might have snapped", spoke Orcleous. The line would most definitely seem out of place, but the hero had good reason for bring it up. "Once you took that blow to the shoulder I thought you may have gone into a rage. Your mannerism change for a moment and your attacked seemed more fearsome. Still you probably should think about how you got whacked earlier in the fight. Ariel attacks are double edged swords. You get more power and a surprise factor, but you loss the ability to dodge. You can only truly act once both your feet are on the ground. The rest of it I am sure you know. You fought in the battle. You made the moves. If you want more advice from me", spoke Orcleous as he leaned the silver blade over his shoulder. "You should have used poison, you be winner now", he joked.
Now that Orcleous was done talking he looked at her for a moment. She was not in the best of health. After the spar even Orcleous needed a breather, but she seemed more out of it. Was she eating enough, drinking enough water, or was her health damaged by her time as a slave. All of these questions started to run through his mind.
"Hey you might need to eat more", spoke Orcleous as he looked at her. It ws a spar, but you seem out of it. What would happen if that was a real fight."

" I eat enough. " She said as she sat there listening to him. Turning her face slightly, she looked away from him as she didn't want to get up. Food hasn't really crossed her mind since yesterday afternoon. She said lowly and was hoping that Orcleous didn't hear her say this. "If I used poison, then I would lose you..." Her face turned a flush of red after saying it and didn't notice. Thinking on the whole battle, she had to readjust her attacks and strategies. But she then began to think about how he mentioned about her snapping. Again saying lowly, "I almost did snap...I know how to control it..." She started to remember when she would just lose all emotion when she was still a slave. Once the memory came and went, she slowly stood and held up her dagger in a defensive stance. Claira was showing that she was ready for round two of the spar.
Looking at him, she said. "I'm not going to stop training. I Need to get better in fighting. You ready to dance again?" She would bolt at him and begin her attacks and would force herself to press on to get to Orcleous. She had a goal, and that goal was to get better. Was to better herself in fighting, and as a person. She was seriously messed up inside. There was a fire in her eyes and her attacks began to become more fierce and ruthless as she drew closer to the Hero. After a while, she began to grit her teeth then began to yell.
"I WILL DO THIS! I WILL BECOME BETTER!"

"A second round", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the maiden. He did not think she had it in her, but it seemed a fire burned in her. Though Orcloeus himself was not so keen on starting again. They where still in the middle of nowhere after all. If they burned through all of there energy they would have none left if something showed up. However Claira was incessant the hero had no choice but to oblige her. As she charged forward with fire Orcleous calmed himself like ice. He watched every move and pressed back with counters. Every time she tried to get in he would make distance and force her back. If she wanted to be strong she was going to need to overcome the length disadvantage of using a dagger.
As the maiden pressed forward the fire inside of her began to burn strongly. Her emotions drove her to scream. "I WILL DO THIS! I WILL BECOME BETTER!" The words held great emotion and determination. The hero felt her spirit through them and as a result it broke his ice cold concentration.
"Then come at me as if your life depended on it", shouted Orcleous as he reaffirmed both his hands on his hilt! The hero prepared himself for anything the maiden threw at him. He knew how she would attack and he knew the length of her weapon. All that was left was for her to make her move. Orcleous was not going to be the one to start there next exchange. He was going to let her do it. He needed to see if she had some skill to back up her emotions. The hero knew passion could take you far, but without the skill with the blade it all mattered not.

Claira had to jump back from her attacks. Hopping back a few, she began to get more and more annoyed. Running at him again, she had to get in close to him. But his big silver sword was getting in her way. Getting in his strike range and seeing his sword coming towards her, Claira would leap at him with her arms out towards him. She was going to do whatever it took to get him. Growling to herself, she would yell at him. "The Raven....strikes true!" Bringing her right arm back, she would then slash at him three times. One going horizontal from right to left, then slash two diangle going from his lower left of his torso to his right shoulder. Then his left shoulder to his right side of his torso.
She knew her attacks were not going to do much damage to him. They'd be like a cut from shaving. But in her mind, she knew he was going to counter her. The Thief had embraced for an in coming attack. If he didn't and was taken by surprise, Claira would fall into him. Causing the two of them to fall to the ground with her laying on top of him breathing heavily. Whispering as her face was in his chest. "Well now...this is different."
If he was able to counter her critical, she would be sent air borne and landing hard, making her roll. Claira would place her hands in the ground firmly to make her roll into a slide, spinning her body to face the Hero. Feeling fatigue setting, Claira would begin to pant heavily starring at Orcleous. Standing up quickly, she had to get up or she was a sitting target ready to squashed like a meet insect on the ground. Wiping sweat off her face, she'd say to him. "I'm...not...giving...up"

To eager, thought Orcleous as the maiden rushed toward him. Orcleous challenged her, but you had to be smart about everything. Orcleous had a longsword and a power advantage. Claira should be trying to take advantage of her speed and sweep around him. If she did that she could possibly take a flank. If she got into the inside she would have the advantage in battle thanks to having a knife. Though is her opponent was armored this advantage would mean less. Still that did not take away from the basics of knife fighting.
As the maiden came in Orcleous slashed his sword down toward her. To his great surprise however she dodged the blow and began a assault of her own. The first slash came horizontal. The hero leaned his body back dodging the blow. That was the flaw to using a dagger. They where quick on the inside and deadly if you where close, but ultimately they suffered from a lack of range. Slashing attacks could be dodged with a sway of the body. Though that was more difficult than simply said. As Orcleous dodged the first attack the maiden lunched a second. The knife swung from his left toward his right. This one came in quicker succession than the first and with luck she cut into Orcleous leather jacket. However the leather was a tough old hide and though the blade was sharp it withstood the punishment. A line formed across it from where the blade struck. The very fact that his jacket got marked ticked the hero off and when the maiden came to strike again Orcleous instincts kicked in.
"Enough", he shouted as he threw his fist into the mix. The succession of attacks was to close for him to swing his sword down, but the hero had his left. As the maiden's third attack came Orcleous took a step forward and threw his left fist into the mix. He did not know what he was hitting, but he swung to hit something.

As Claira was coming in for the third strike, Orcleous swung his left fist at her. The fist caught her in her right side ribs. Shock hit her as the pain hit her fast. She was expecting him to use his sword, not his fist. "A very bad mistake....he must really love that coat." She thought as her body went flying and smashed through some of the old desks. The sound of a crack was heard and she screamed out loud. The pain felt like she was impaled by a General's lance. Letting go of her dagger, the thief wrapped her arms around her front and somewhat curled up.
The room was a now a massive destruction zone. Tables, chairs all thrown around. But where Claira laid, everything was smashed now. Orcleous was standing in the clearing of the room as she laid there trying to breath as best as she could. It felt like a bone had been broken in her ribs. The female thief tried to stand, but the pain coming from her torso forced her to lay there motionless.
"Y...you...over..d...oww...did it...Orc." The sun was slowly starting to set and Claira couldn't stand. The pain had gotten so bad, that tears began sliding down her face. Coughing a bit because of the dust made her pain worse. It forced her to roll a bit and curl back up. This wasn't Good for her due to where the injury was. Claira began to think outbound while laying there in the wooden destruction.
"Th-that...wasn't...smart of..me...If I was Orcleous, I'd leave the...injured person...f-coughs heavily and moans a bit- for getting...themselves injured....it was...a bad move for me...to do...a screw up...that was" Laying her head down, it was the only thing she could do.

"Oh crap", spoke Orcleous as the maiden flew back. He was sure the punch was only strong enough to stun her. Well to be truthful he did not really hold back. He may have not used the power of smite, but it was a good punch. Orcleous was just use to fighting bulkier people. He did not think the attack would have that much power.
"Alright I think that is far to much for the day", spoke Orcleous as he walked over to the maiden. In the back of his head he could hear his mother screaming at him. He was not suppose to hit girls. Well he broke that rule a long time ago, but during that time they where trying to kill him. In this situation was different. A frown crossed Orcleous face as he began to see the results of his work. The hero began to question on weather or not he should be training her at all now. He was a power type fighter. Most of his moves relied upon the strength of his arms and back. She should be a speed type. Though she could simply get a longer blade and fight with more skill, but that seemed to not be her style. However that was a mute point with her lying in a pile of broken wood. Orcleous could only prey that she did not stab herself with anything.
"Sorry about that", spoke Orcleous as he walked over and gave her a hand. "Instincts kicked in", he spoke as he motioned to pick her up. "We should probably go back to the other building", spoke the hero as he attempted to pick the maiden up.

Opening her one eye half way with tears still coming. Hearing him apologize made her smile a bit and saw his hand reach down for her. Shaking her head a bit, would say to him. "I won't be able to stand Orcy....you may have broken...a bone in my ribs...and don't apologize, I shouldn't have tried for that style of move n the first place...but on the bright....Oooow....at least I got a strike...on you...ha ha..ha."
Trying carefully to move, she rolled onto her back. Looking up at him, her eyes scanned his jacket with the cut mark into it and then looked up at his face, and could see the worry across it. Looking up at the ceiling, she realized that she had her armor on the support beam way above them. "D@!$#...it..." Thinking on it, she realized that if she had her armor on that this may not have been so severe. Looking around, she saw how much of a mess they had made and her iron sword was laying on the floor.
Finally, she held up her hand. But as she extended it, the pain felt like it just blown like a volcano. Keeping her eyes and her jaws clenched shut. Claira didn't want to scream from it, but painful moans were coming from her throat. The Thief tried to image of what Orcleous saw as he looked down at her. And one thing came to her mind, probably pitiful.

A broken rib, thought Orcleous as the maiden began to get up. It was more serious than he thought. How in the world, thought Orcleous as he looked at his own fist. The Hero wondered just how strong he had become in this time. As the maiden looked up Orcleous noticed what was catching her eye. Her armor, Orcleous started to piece everything together, so that is why things went the way they did. "Well first off we are going to need to get you to a town", spoke Orcleous. He was not going to let her sit around here banged up as she was. The duo would need to take a break. Orcleous had a idea, but he really did not like it.
"First thing first", spoke Orcleous as he walked away with his eyes looking up at the armor. Dropping his jacket Orcleous jumped up and grabbed the lowest beam and pulled himself up. The hero could feel the wood stressing as he stood on it. Jumping up Ocleous grabbed the tail end of the armor and slammed into the ground. The floor under him cracked as his large body hit the ground. "Here", he spoke as he handed her his armor. "We are going to need to get you to a doctor and a good bit of rest. There is a village near not far from here that I know has a good doctor", spoke Orcleous.
The hero had a lot of things on his mind at the moment. Claira's health was one of them and the second was on himself. How strong had he gotten on his adventures and how in the world people where going to react when he returned. Mordor was a very tight knitted village. Once he walked in with a blonde hair girl people where going to start talking. Still Orcleous could not simply let her walk around with a broken rib and all the injuries she had so far. They needed a place with a good doctor and healer. Plus a place to stay.
"You don't mind making a stop at my hometown do you", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the young thief.

Laying still on the debris of her crashing through tables and chairs, Claira watched as Orcleous jumped up and climbed up for her armor. But when he was going to toss it down, she had one of her arms over her face to protect her head. Force of habit for her. Clang Clang thud. The pieces of her armor laid on the ground. When the Hero jumped and landed, the floor shook a bit.The vibration made her ribs hurt. Rolling a bit slowly onto her stomach, she began to push herself up. Biting hard down on to her lip.
The pain had gotten to a new extreme. Growling was heard from her as she forced herself to her feet. Reaching out and stumbling to a support beam. She leaned against it as she kept up with her breathing. Her one arm stayed tightly holding her ribs. Here choice is to leave it, but wasn't so sure about the iron sword she had. Looking at the pieces of black armor, she would say to Orcleous.
"Forget...the armor...it'll make things...hard...for us.." It didn't sink in until she actually heard about stopping by his home village. Smiling again, she leaned her head against the beam. "I..don't mind...Orcy...we better...go as soon...as possible...darkness...falling upon...us." Sweat began beading down her face as she stood there leaning against the beam watching him. Feeling a bit warm, she took a slow step towards the door but could feel her legs about to give.

As Much as Claira thought they should get rid of the armor Orcleous disagreed. It would be useful later and Orcleous understood how one piece of equipment could save your life when you needed it. Instead of throwing it away Orcleous tossed it over his shoulder and moved over to help the maiden. Orcleous needed to get her onto the back of the horse and get moving.
Why in the world does everything go bad so quickly, thought Orcleous to himself as he aided the maiden outside. Whistling to the hosre the hero called the steed over and aided with her mounting the beast. After he was sure she would be ok Orcleous returned to the house they where originally squatting in and collected there things. He really needed to buy a new horse. Reattaching Xigshaw, his other weapons and gear Orcleous walked back outside the house. It took him less than five minutes to get there things and he wand the thief would be ready to roll out.
"Hey how are you feeling", asked Orcleous toward Claira. The hero needed to be sure she was not bleeding internally. Things where bad enough as it is with her being hurt with bruises on the outside. If she was bleeding on the inside they would have to expedite there trip. Orcleous had nothing that could aid that. Though he had no sure way of knowing how injured she was, pain level told a lot of information on there own. "To strong for my own good", spoke orcleous to himself as he clinched his fist.
