Name:Vallen Ipsen
Class:Sodlier
Age:20
Born in:Bern
Appearance:Vallen is a tall, sturdily framed fellow with a lean, sinewy build. He is a well tanned man with obsidian black hair and deep pastel yellow eyes. His hair is always well maintained, kept short and straight. It rarely reaches below his ears on the side, and never reaches into his eyes in the front. Often times it is slicked back, too.
It is rare to see the man without his armor on and his lance by his side. His armor is finely crafted steel. It is comprised of chest, shoulder, elbow, forearm, gauntlets, back, hip, knee, and shin plates with leather straps binding the armor together in a snug fit. It isn't bulky and heavy armor like that of a Knight, but it still covers most of his body and weighs a fair amount. The armor itself is without decoration for the most part, being polished steel with a thin bronze gilding at the edges of each plate. He has a matching full face helmet with a rounded mask at the front. In case of bad weather he wears a white cloak over his armor.
Personality:Vallen is a cold, stoic man. He does not warm up to others easily, and so many will see him as apathetic and unfeeling. In truth, he is very much a realist, and his thirst for justice is arguably unmatched. Vallen works hard, is loyal to those few who manage to put up with him long enough to get close to him, and he does have moments where he is a pillar of strength for those in need.
Story:Vallen grew up as a member of a lesser noble house in Bern, whose land lied near the river bordering Sacae. The house of Ipsen, lead by Baroness Avarce, Vallen's mother, was primarily in the knighthood. A rare few became scholars or mages in service to higher ranking nobles, and even fewer joined the church of St. Elimine.
He was raised in the barracks, often training alongside far more seasoned knights when he wasn't polishing their armor or helping to maintain their weapons. Even if he were not born into it, Vallen's sense of justice would have spurned him into the knighthood. Upholding the law and maintaining peace across the land were both goals he aspired to. He admired his older siblings as well, which only added to his will to follow in their footsteps. It took time, patience, and dedication, but Vallen was an exemplary knight even before he was formally knighted. He received high marks in the combat academy, and the knight to which he was a squire for had given him a sterling recommendation.
It's been two years since he became a fully fledged member of the knighthood. Vallen has heard many rumors and seen his fair share of battles take place. He's even participated in one or two small skirmishes. But his biggest battles were yet to come!
