Chelsea accepted the silken handkerchief from Midori. She used it, as she assumed Midori had intended, to dry away her tears. She still wasn't sure what had come over her to spill everything out to basically a complete stranger like that. Maybe it was because everything had been locked up inside her since her talk with Selibas. She couldn't tell her father about it, as there was a chance he'd leave and go to Bern to beat Kelvin. And besides the fact that they needed her father here, she would still always love Kelvin no matter what. She didn't want to see him hurt. Well, maybe she's wail on him a little if they ever ran into each other again, but that would be it. Regardless, it made sense that that was why. She hadn't even found the time to find Altani to have someone friendly to talk to about this.
Handing the handkerchief back to Midori, Chelsea was able to take a breath and finally respond. "I guess... It's not really Selibas' fault. I was... ignorant of the whole thing until he was the one who shattered the illusion, and I've held that against him. Maybe I should be thanking him for opening my eyes instead. I don't know. I guess I truly won't unless I run into him again." She gave a half hearted shrug as she slowly got back to her feet.
The archer let Midori's words sit in her mind. The girl was right. She needed to start worrying about herself first. "You're very wise, Midori, even if you claim to be ignorant of it. Thank you. And again, I'm sorry about everything earlier. Talk to Selibas, don't talk to Selibas. It's your life, do with it what you will. I will say, he's not the sort that would force you into anything you don't want to do. But again, if it's not something you want to worry about right now, don't. As you say, we have more important events on the horizon."

Midori took her handkerchief back and returned it to her pocket. The pink haired healer took a moment to rub her own eyes and face with her bare hand. She stood there in silence for a moment trying to think on what more to say. She had not expected such a tense moment. Her horse gently shook it's head to shake off an annoying fly that seemed to be focused on landing near her eye.
"I.. still wish to speak to the grand khan more. But.. I am not allowed to simply walk up to him and start a conversation. I mean I can.. if it's an emergency. But.. casually.. it would be frowned upon in my tribe's culture. He has to be the one to start the conversation if I wish to speak plainly. Can you deliver that message to him? That I wish to keep talking and meeting him." She asked with a soft smile on her face.
"I trust you and I trust the Khan. I know he wouldn't force me to do anything I do not want. But, I am also aware on how war can change people." She looked off to the floor for a moment. She hoped that comment didn't hit Chelsea too close to home. The orange haired woman's fiancee seemed to have changed because of war and separation.
"You are a very strong woman to have held in all that pain and confusion. But now that it is all out.. you can focus on you. And you can focus on the world around you. I hope the war gives me an opportunity to talk to him more. To talk to you more. Talk to everyone more." She placed a hand on Chelsea's shoulder. Thank-you scripture! For once I repeated the right thing at the right time. And now she think's I'm wise... I really hope that doesn't have any repercussions for future me.

Chelsea stayed quiet as Midori responded. She was relieved to hear that she hadn't ruined any chance of Selibas being able to talk to her again. She did agree that it would probably be better for Selibas to be the one to start the conversations in the future. She made a mental note to bring that up whenever she talked to him again. She returned Midori's smile. "I'll be sure to let him know. And I'll be double sure to make sure that he knows he has to be the one to start the conversation."
At Midori's conversation about war changing people, Chelsea's face grew slightly darker. She knew the girl hadn't meant it in a way that implied Kelvin had changed by it, but it was a thought that had certainly floated around in her head before. But that wasn't something to dwell on now. She had already wasted enough time recently on Kelvin and her past. Midori was right; she needed to move forward with her life. Focus on herself first. Who knows, maybe that would bring her into contact with Kelvin again. Maybe they'd repair things, maybe they wouldn't. Maybe she'd never see him again. There was no way to tell her what the future held, but she'd never get there simply dwelling on the past.
"Thank you, Midori. I wish to have more time to talk to you in the future a well. I have a feeling that we could become good friends." She gave the girl another smile. She meant it. Sure, they had that outburst at one another, but it had lead to them being in a better place. So why not?

“You are very welcome Chelsea.” Midori gave Chelsea a smile and hoped that she had done some good to the orange haired rider. This whole experience seemed to do both women some good. It was odd to have what was troubling her out in the open. She was happy that someone knew and understand some of her frustration. She only imagined what sort of new frustrations the war would bring them. The healer made a mental note to get a better grip on her emotions in the future. The last thing she needed was to lose her patience when treating the wounded. But she was glad. Glad that Chelsea was going to pass along the message. Glad that she would have more chances to talk to Chelsea in the future. This war was going to be a harrowing experience for the young healer but she felt as if her hope and faith was renewed. That she had enough strength to tackle any challenges that would come her way.
“I’m glad you think so. I hope we become good friends. Hopefully next time I don’t.. Uhm.. yell and scream like that.” She shook her head. She then looked off over Chelsea’s shoulder and saw that the Chaklai’s little competition was still going. Midori felt well enough to try to and do the run again.
“Alright. Well. I’m going to give that run another shot. So I shall see you later.” She gave Chelsea a nod before guiding Ashes away. The pink haired healer seemed to feel lighter after the whole talk. Maybe this lightness, will help shave off a few seconds off my time. She smirked to herself as she made her way back into the line.
