Saya and 3 other Bern knights were asked by their captain to deal with a small bandit problem around the southern region of Bern. The bandits have been known to do things like all other bandits love to do: Raid villages and murder innocents all just for the fun of it. From what the group had heard, the bandits have a rather large group of marauder in their army, maybe around 23 members, though their skill in battle is nothing special but they know how to use a weapon.
After some traveling from some of the villages that have been reported to be targets for the bandits, Saya and the 3 knights started to ask were their hideout was one of the villagers said they seen them run into the hills, having a good idea where they might be, the group first needed to come op with a plan on how to take them out without getting overrun by the bandits much larger force. The group realized that with only 4 of them and like 20 of the bandits their chances were pretty low of winning. Then one of the knights spoke up.
"What was our Captain thinking, sending just us 4 to take on a whole hideout alone, does he really think we could win with odds like these?" The other knights could only agree with him, they couldn't win without getting wounded. Then Saya decided on one idea that might work.
"Why don't we try and find some Mercenaries to help us out, it's better then going at them head on." The others agreed to Saya's idea and decided to start looking for any mercenary in the area to come help them with their attack on the Bandit hideout.

With a little more gold in his pocket and food in his belly, Sergeo left the small farming village and wandered into a thick forest, heading southeast towards the trade city of Lucerne. Having his lifetime fill of farmers and pigs, he hoped that the walls of Lucerne would have work more in the lines of protection or caravan trading. Or at the very least, back breaking labor that didn't have cargo that ran away from you at high speeds. His thoughts of optimism so turned into thought of concern as when Sergeo stepped out of the forest clearing to see a town he didn't expect to see.
To call it a town thou would be an insult to actual towns and cities. The place was filled with small country house of wood and stone that were old, worn down and crumbling all around him. Places to do trade and eat were also in sorry shape with decapitated stalls, raided inns, and stores that looked they were looted and torched for what looked to be months. Maybe even years. Needless to say, Sergeo didn't know where he was and his map had no indication or mention of a town between the farm village and Lucerne. "For this place not to be written down on a map, must mean that this town was too small and not worth the ink, or this town was destroyed long before this town was made..."Sergeo mumbled to himself. "Am I lost?"
Sergeo cut off his own pontificating when he heard faint laughter from further in the ghost town. There was no way normal decent people would still be here in the crap hole of a town, and he knew making himself known to a bunch of thieves at best would just be him begging for a slow painful death. He clutched his tomb closer to his person and stuck to what shadows he could, as he wondered further in to the deserted town, hoping that when he did find what he expected to find that he could eavesdrop on the group and figure out where he is.

Sergeo could hear the voices of 3 males and one female talking about something but can tell that the group is arguing at the moment other something, like their battle plan on how to attack the bandit hideout without getting themselves killed due to the groups lack of soldiers. They started talking about finding any mercenaries in the area but as one of the members suggested getting some mercenaries one member was against the idea of hiring some mercenaries to help them out.
"I really don't see the big deal of hiring some help, it' kind of the only idea we got at this point, unless you want to speak against the Captain's orders then be my guest." If anyone could guess from what they were talking about, these people were most likely a group of soldiers from the army, sent here to deal with the bandit problem that's been going on in the area. The knight against the mercenary idea spoke of his reasons why he was not a big fan of the idea. "Do you really think we just trust a bunch of mercenaries to "help" us, only to just stab us in the back and kill us for gold, they have no honor or loyalty, they only fight for the one has the most money on them, I for one say that we just lure them here to this dead town and use a surprise attack to take out their numbers with the least amount of effort needed."
The other two knights believed that his plan was a good idea but Saya didn't like the idea due to one major flaw in it that made the plan pointless. "And do you think that only four knights can take out a whole base full of bandits? Trying to lure them out to a place they know pretty well makes our chances even worst and we would only get ourselves killed, we have no choice, we need to get the mercenaries, we can't hope to win with everything we got on us at the moment." After some disagreements with each other they decided that the best choice in the matter was to just get some mercenaries and hope it works out in the end.

Thankfully the voices the Sergeo found in this burnt out, middle of nowhere town were a lot more upstanding than the bandits he was expecting to eavesdrop on. But there chatter about how to deal with their bandit problem betrayed there lack of confidence in their own skill as warriors. Its true, that evening the odds with mercenaries would be one way to go about it, but disregarding that they would need a dozen plus on such short notice and would probably need to travel to closest major town to even get that many and waste valuable time, but there is probably a better and more practical solution to there bandit problem using what knowledge they had on the bandits and a carefully laid plan. Strategy was the great equalizer in war after all. With the exception of Sergeo's "family", bandits weren't particularly know for being masters of warfare and could easily be made fools of by a small band of warriors if they put there heads together.
Sergeo's thoughts were interrupted by a very familiar voice. At first he figured he just imagined it, but peaking his head out around the corner he saw that tell tale purple armor he saw back at that farm town inn. That girl was going to dive straight into the hornets nest with three other dragon-riding maroons? The girl nearly got in an altercation with a knuckle-dragging farm hand cause of her clumsiness and she was going to fight a bunch of bandits undermanned? He wasn't quite sure why, but a surging feeling of responsibility flowed through Sergeo like a lightning bolt and if it wasn't for this feeling, this next course of action would have seem ludicrous to the wandering mage. "Its true that numbers are important, but maybe what you really need is not so much a dozen warriors, but just one real clever one." he said walking out of the shadows and reveling his presence to the Wyvern Knights.

Two of the Knight quickly reacted and pulled out their weapons and pointed them at the man that just come out of nowhere, they looked at Sergeo, thinking he's part of the bandit group they are hunting, one of the knights would begin to start asking him some questions on why he is here. "Who are you and what are you doing here, are you part of those bandits, if you are part of those bandits then made a horrible choice thinking to can take us on all by yourself, if your not part of them then you better hurry up and start talking, befor I run you down with this here lance." The other two knights looked at the orange knight thinking he might going a bit too far with some of his demands and the Green knight would quietly speak to him about a better idea.
"Hey, if he is part of the bandits then lets just arrested him and force him to tell us any weakness in their forces and their supplies. Besides it will give us a far better chance of killing them then just blindly walking up to their hideout." The orange knight just looked at the green knight angrily, telling him"We don't need to keep him alive, you idiots think we need help when I could take them all out with one arm tied behind my back!" Then the blue knight had no choice and went in between the two knights that were arguing with each other, trying to calm them both down and get them to get back at the matter at hand. "You two need to stop fighting with each other and remember we have a job to do, so let's start doing it and prove you two are knights and not just some bunch of kids on Wyverns." As the 3 knights were talking with each other, Saya walked over to Sergeo, giving him a normal greeting.
"Well it's been awhile since we last seen each other, hasn't it? So what brings you out to a ghost town like this? Are you looking for something? The other three knights stopped arguing when they realized that Saya had just went up to the man and started talking to him, the orange knight yelled at Saya to wonder what she was thinking. "Hey Saya get back here now, he's most likely going to just try and kill us so get back here befor you get yourself killed you idiot!" Saya just looked over at him and waved him off and looked back over at Sergeo. "Don't mind him he's just a control freak, he thinks that anyone that's not part of Bern is a enemy to him, but after some time you'll get use to him."

Ah, Bern. It feels so good to be back. The Nabatan man thought to himself as he made his way down a tiny road through the country side. He had returned to the misty land of the wyverns on an whim. He hoped to continue on his journey to eat apple pies from each and every pub in this country. He had also hoped to run into his friend Euphemious somewhere in between his appley adventure like he usually did.
The dragon in human guise wore plain clothing befitting that of a humble traveler. A simple tunic and pants that was was seemingly covered up by an equally plain cloak. On his shoulder was a simple leather bag that contained very few belongings. A map, some warm blankets, a small pouch of gold, his journal, and a small human shaped metal idol. The little metal man would be considered by most to be a toy of some sort. But to Aeos the metal man was simply known as Oscar and he was his companion.
He was still mostly unfamiliar with Bernese territories he had no idea that this village out in the middle of nowhere was deserted. He glanced down at his map and saw the empty spot where he was. His map was littered with dots and circles of all the places he had been. And under neath each name he wrote down the type of apple pie he had eaten there as well as the names of the pub. This was all written the dragonic language. It's strange symbols were shorthand for actual words. And the compactness of it all helped to preserve the writable blank spaces of his map. He wrote in with a pencil a circle in it's place and wrote "town?". While at a distance this place looked abandoned but he could see small silhouettes of people moving about. He also saw a wyvern looming around the outskirts of the place. At the very least it was outside of a specific building. King of the Mountain? His inner dragon quipped in his mind. He shook his head. He had no reason to challenge random wyverns to a fight to the death. Besides this one wyvern didn't bother him like the other one back in Ilia did. And so he approached this village in the hopes of either getting some directions to a more populated area or sit down and have some apple pie.

At first Sergeo almost immediately regretted coming out of the shadows, as the three stooge knights got into his face and started making ridiculous accusations of him being a bandit (former bandit thank you) and waved their lances around like children. Not being a fan of some schumcks slinging mud at him, Sergeo answered each question with the appropriate amount of snark. "No I am a merchant. Can I interest you in these fine leather jackets?""If I was a bandit, why would I bother with an introduction and ruin my advantage in the element of surprise." He wondered if these fools acted like this even when they weren't on edge and facing tough odds. It looked like however that Saya remembered the wandering mage even after all this time and nonchalantly walked up to him like any normal person should have. Sergeo sighed in relief. "Thanks for having more common sense than your subordinates. Truth be told I was on my way Lucerne to see if I can find some more proper work for a man of my talents, but it seems like I got myself lost along the way. I'm not even sure where I am at the moment."
He showed Saya the copy of the world map he had and pointed at the most direct route to from the farming village they met at and the trade city of Luceren. "My map doesn't make note of any sort of town between here and Luceren. Where ever here is. But it seems like me getting lost is a sort of a boon cause it sounds like you and the three stooges over there are in a need of some help." He said looking over at the trio of colorful knights looking back at him with equal parts scorn and dumbfounded stupidity. "If your willing to take me on your little campaign of yours, I might be able to help you guys in more ways than just with magic. Bandits are easy to route if you know how to be a proper strategist." Perhaps strategist was too bold of a term to describe himself, but when you grow up in a family of bandits and sometimes have to compete with other groups of bandits for targets, you learn to flex your intelligence and cunning with traps, choke points, and spots to ambush your rivals with.

Saya looked at Sergeo's map and decided told him everything she and the group knew about this ghost town. "Well this town was taken off the map because the people just went up and left if behind due to bandit attacks so our Captain wanted us to take care of the bandits but he didn't give us the order until the place was abandon and taken off the world map. After Saya had told him why the place was not on the map, she went on to his next question about joining her group with dealing with the bandits, Saya had no problem with and, despite the orange knight's hatred for hired soldiers, went on and agreed to his choice of joining the group. "Sure, I see no problem with you joining us, I'd trust that you know how to fight I'm guessing? Well anyway then this town was left behind in a hurry as I already told you but the bandits come here and search through the abandon homes looking for anything of use to them so we are hoping that they will come to us rather then just going to there base."
While Saya and Sergeo were talking, the Blue knight would notice that someone was coming this way to them. With the other 2 knight arguing with each other still and with Saya being busy talking to the mercenary, he had no choice and got off his wyvern so he would be harder to notice and went away from the group and decided to watch the stranger that was heading into the abandoned town, waiting to see if he was just some lost traveler looking for a way to the nearest town or just some thief that came with the hope of scavenging the ghost town with hopes of getting some gold from this place. The blue knight would talk to himself, wondering about the man coming this way. "Why is this person coming to a run down place like this, unless... he's just lost or part of those bandits. The Blue knight would hold his weapon tightly, ready to attack at any moment should the man be a theft of part of those bandits that's he's hunting, then a idea hit the blue knight. "He might be a mercenary that came to deal with the bandits too, if so we can just get him to help us out." The blue knight would then hide in a place were he would run into the traveler and question him then.

The closer Aeos got to the village the more he began to suspect that it was abandoned. And that perhaps the people he saw were squatters. This put a slight frown on his face. But, this did not deter him from the village. He still needed some directions. These folk didn't look like bandits. They didn't feel like bandits. How many bandits ride wyverns? As far as he knew wyverns were creatures that either roamed free on the land or reserved for the military.
His semi-heightened senses told him that one rider in particular was tailing him. The poor guy was trying to keep tabs on him with his wyvern. He wanted to point out how bad he looked. As, it was rather hard to be stealthy on a giant flying beast. The wing flaps were heavy and he could see the wyvern trying to hide in places that were quite obvious. Unless, the wyvern was the color of sky, it could very easily be seen flying about. Plus, the knight's blue armor was a contrast to the greenery of the land and darkness of the dirt. The shade of blue was also not the same color of the sky. He couldn't fault the man for trying to be sneaky. He assumed the man was armed. Aeos didn't want to be caught on the wrong end of a lance. So, he decided to stop and acknowledge the flying man.
Aeos stopped for a moment and turned to face where the man and wyvern was. He gave the rider a friendly smile and wave.
“Ahoy there rider! Is yonder town inhabited or desolate?” He shouted in the riders general direction.

Sergeo nodded his head. "You don't have to worry about me. This isn't my first time fighting mountain men."While that statement was true, up until now Sergeo hadn't had to use his tomb in combat since he first stepped foot outside of the academy. This would be his first real battle since starting his new life. No fake weapons or pulled punches, this would be his first time fighting as a mage out in the field. He withheld showing Saya any feelings of anticipation he was currently feeling about putting his new skills to the test. Sergeo did raise an eyebrow thou when he heard of Saya's intended plan. "Getting them to come to you huh?" he said looking around at the dilapidated ghost town around him, while it was true that the ruined buildings did provide plenty of terrain to hide in and funnel the bandits through, unless the bandits were as dumb as rocks, they wouldn't come back to a town they might have or have not already raided. Nothing left to take on top of other minor reasons.
He began to rub his bare chin, thinking of what might be a way to lure the bandits back to the ghost town."It might be a tough sell to get them to come back here. We would need to have some very tempting bait." He turned his head around him once more looking for something like a horse drawn wagon that the could reuse or repair. "Maybe if made them think a merchant would be passing through here we would be able to temp them out of hiding and into the open. If you could get your three wyvern rid-" He cut himself off as he realized that while the angry orange knight and the lazy green knight were present, the worrying blue one was missing. "Their were three others with you right?"

Saya smiled at the news that the mage said he knew how to fight and was glad to know this wasn't some random guy who couldn't even protect himself. With that out of the way Saya begins thinking how to work out her plan to lure the bandits to the ghost town without being overwhelmed by the enemy numbers until Sergeo brought up a good point, there was little to no things for the bandits to steal, making it hard for them to even get the bandits to come back here to work out there plan. Saya listened to Sergeo's idea and decided it was really the only good idea they had at the moment. "I think there was a rundown wagon I saw when we got here nearby we could use but I'm guessing it needs to be fixed." Sergeo began talking about those three other knights that came with Saya but she soon realized after Sergeo asked if there was three of them that the blue one had goon missing. "Well that's not like him to just disappear out of nowhere, I wonder where he went?"
The Blue Knight realized that there was no point in even hiding since he knew where he was hiding anyway and went down to the traveler to ask him a few questions. "I just want to ask you a few questions on why you are here and who are you, you look like a traveler, are you here for something in this town or did you once live here?" The blue knight knew that it won't be long before Saya and the others realize that he had went off to talk with this stranger that walked into the ghost town and needed to hurry on back so was hoping he just get through this as fast as possible.

Aeos couldn’t help but smile at the wyvern rider’s reaction to him. He had such a wonderful sense of nostalgia. This rider questioned him in the same manner as Euphemious did when they first met. I miss the big metal guy. I hope we can find him later. Although, this time he wasn’t some lost, tired, and hurt straggler stranded in the middle of unfamiliar woods. Woods that he accidentally destroyed when he crash landed. The dragon recalled he had to pull out so many splinters from his hands and feet that day. He kept his disposition friendly and answered the blue rider’s questions.
“Your eyes do not deceive ye lad. I am a traveler. And yes I be here for something. I was informed from the neighboring town to come here to try some of thy local cuisine. I was told that the pies oft the area be made with green apples. And i’d very much like to sink my teeth into them.” He spoke honestly. He was guided here by the neighboring town. A town that was just out of range of the bandit raids at least for now.
“Though it seems that this place be abandoned. Thou and thy your group be the only souls I see here. I see no signs oft raiders. The buildings remain intact.” He approached one of the empty homes and touched the wooden walls. The building did not have any sign of damage. This place was not like the abandoned village in Osita. This place still had life and greenery attached to it. He could see it around the town. He could smell it in the air. And it smelled nice.
“Did something happen to the villagers?”

Sergeo just let out a large sigh. "We really shouldn't be wandering off by ourselves in this ghost town. Lets find him so we can start making our bait." The wandering mage started to scan what he could see from where he was standing, thinking that the missing wyvern knight didn't wander off too far. Sure enough he didn't as down the main road of town was the blue knight, but unexpectedly, another man was with him and it look like they were making small talk. "Who the hell is that?" Sergeo said out loud while walking down the main road with a sense of unease.
As he got closer to the stranger in question, Sergeo's concern grew with him. The man in question was what one might call "Tall, dark, and handsome." Someone who had the face that would get him places among the locals if he knew how to flash his teeth at the young women of the village. However, the clothing he was wearing told a different story. A plain and old tunic with equally plain trousers, cloak, and bag that made Sergeo's slightly more colorful but just as plain clothing seems more exciting by comparison. He looked like a wander just as Sergeo, but why did he wander? Something about this man didn't sit right with the vagabond mage, but then again he was naturally suspicious of most people. Guess it comes with being an outlaw most of your life. Never the less, he didn't seem like a local so there might be a chance that he's just another wandering soul like himself and Sergeo's suspicions were unwarranted. He announced his presence to the wanderer by answering his question. "Bandits happen that's what."

Saya nodded at Sergeo in agreement. "Indeed, we can't just go on about and leave each other, we should go look for him, I'll look in the upper part of town, if you find him, let me know." Saya went off in the upper part of town, which was the other way from where Sergeo had went to look for the Blue Knight. While the other two knights just waited in the same spot, as they did not want to get lost and have to find each other as well. While Saya was looking for the Blue Knight luck was on her side today as they found a usable wagon, though it could use some fixing up, it should pass enough to fool some people like bandits or others who have brain capacity of a rock. "Just my luck, guess that deals with the wagon problem, now I just need to get this back to the group and ready the next part of our plan." Saya would use her Wyvern as a force to help push the wagon back to the rest of the group.
The Blue Knight looked at the man who only came here to just eat a pie which was pretty odd to him that he just came to a run down town like this just to try it's *famous* pie. "Well....your out of luck then, the place got-" Just as he was about to finish his sentence he was interrupted by Sergeo who had went looking for them. Startled by Sergeo's sudden arrive, the Blue Knight turned to the mage and asked: "What are you doing out here? Weren't you talking to Saya or something?"

Aeos tilted his head and leaned to his side slightly in order to see the new person. This young man had yellow hair, a cool bandana, and reddish brown eyes. Aeos smiled softly at the young human and spoke.
“Thank-you for clarifying.” He kept his tone of voice neutral. Bandits huh. Well that's poop. The dragon thought to himself then returned his attention back to the blue knight. He seemed to be rather blunt with the brighter haired man.
“It would seem that the young man’s conversation with Saya had finished. Blue one, perhaps the lad merely be curious as to why you went out to talk to me. I hath taken up some of thy valuable time. And for that I am sorry.” He apologized to the blue knight. The wanderer looked around a bit more. This place only looked like it was abandoned fairly recently. He spoke up a bit so that both persons could hear him.
“I do not like bandits. While I understand that people resort to desperate actions in desperate times. But, to be such a burden upon normal citizens… it's not something I like to see. Those bandits already disbanded one towne and the one I just so happen to come from may be next. That place, was kind to me and I do not wish to see it raized. I.. would like to help ye deal with the bandits." He stood there waiting for a response. He wasn't sure if the rest of the party would be welcoming to him. Aeos was unarmed. But, he knew how to fight in hand to hand combat. He had been training in that art for centuries. And he had been improving on his craft ever since his journey across Elibe had started.
