Dear myself, you really know how to get youself in trouble, don't you? BECAUSE FOR crap'S SAKE, COULD YOU STOP ATTRACTING POACHERS AND HUNTERS TO YOURSELF AND ACTUALLY STAND A CHANCE OF SURVIVING LONGER THAN A FEW MONTHS ON THIS CONTINENT!?!?!
Ugh, today was, once again, not his day. On today's menu was not only hunters, but MOUNTED hunters... Oh? How did this happen, you ask? Well it's quite simple, apparently children just looooove stealing people's hats for no reason. At first, I had travelled to this caravan of Sacaens, still following me? Well anyways, at first, they were eager to trade with me since I had pretty high quality weapons with me, perks of being a blacksmith and stuff. Then some children came and I decided to play with them since kids are probably the only people I don't get the urge to sarcastically insult all the way to next Sunday. However, during the time we played, one of the kids got the brilliant idea of taking my hat. Not that i can blame him, I do look pretty handsome with it... The moment my hat was off, my ears came out like stars in the night sky. Most children were simpyl amazed but a few were scared enough to call their family in fear... Aaaannd this is where we're at right now. I even had to leave my weapons behind on top of that...
After that bit of inner monologuing, Theodore continued to dash through the woods. For now, he had prefered to not shift just yet. A man with long ears was one thing, but a 800 pounds rabbit would definitely ring the alarm bells throughout Sacae and right now he did not want so much eyes on him. He simply wanted to observe these humans, not be treated like a monster by them! Ugh, sometimes he wondered if Fleur's extreme view towards humans as being disgusting beings was actually reasonable. Humans may be incredible adventurers and inventors, but they were just as much scared of the unknown... It'd be difficult for the rabbit to be able to master his craft and learn new skills like he originally wanted. Wearing his fancy outfit he just loved to wear, he wasn't slowed down by it at all thanks to multiple modifications he had done to the fabric to accomodate his taguel physiology (hey, boots made for rabbits can't be found in stores after all).
He felt confident in his abilities to outrun his pursuers since he was travelling through a small forest. Perfect to lose horsemen. Sadly, the forest was even smaller then he thought as he ended up in an extremely open field, only with a simple dirt road cutting down the middle. Not only that, but the rangers had anticipated his moves and were waiting for him right next to the forest's exit. It didn't take long for the taguel to get surrounded by the 4 man squad. The leader of the bunch dismounted only to take out his scimitar while going up to the rabbit man.
"No more running, you freak of nature. Move one inch and my boys are going to skewer you like a pin cushion... I don't know what you thought you were doing back there but nothing will ever hurt my kids if I have anything to do about it, you hear me? he continued to walk around Theodore while his hunting partners kept their bows ready to shoot the taguel. Suddenly, he noticed the patches of hair sticking out of Theodore's coat in certain spots. It seemed that the running had twisted his clothes around to let some of his fur stick out... Damn, more things for him to freak out about and tell others.
"Just what in the hell are you?!?! You're a monster!"
Sighing, the rabbit started to laugh softly, almost as if he was pitying the man... "Hehehehe... Aren't we all monsters...?"
Gotta buy me some time until I can shift and kill all of them... They've already seen too much.

Aea was travelling along the roads of southern Sacae, on her way to Bern, when she heard an odd commotion a ways away. Deciding to investigate, she eventually came across a group of four Sacaean rangers, each with weapons pointed at a suited man with... rabbit ears? Aea was puzzled for a moment, as even in her centuries of life, this was something that was definitely new to her. She had heard rumors of a recently discovered continent known as Vinland, along with strange inhabitants that lived there. Was this man one of them? Moving closer, she said aloud, "U-um, e-excuse me, sirs, but would it be too much to ask for you to lower your weapons? This man is clearly unarmed. W-What has he possibly done to cause you grievance?"
The leader of the group, the one that had dismounted his horse and drawn a scimitar, turned his head to Aea, laughing as he spoke, "You think that someone I've never even met before is gonna convince me what I should and shouldn't do? This... thing was getting ready to kidnap our children, or.. something. Look, just keep away, alright?"
Well, well. If he's a "thing", you'd love what I can do. But not now... too much potential for them to escape on horseback and tell others. Although, if the riders were to be knocked down...
Aea grinned a bit as she breathed in deeply, moving a bit closer to the group. She always did enjoy the opportunity to use her breath attack, as it was the closest thing she could accomplish most of the time to still feel like a dragon, given nearly everywhere she went, there was some sort of danger in shifting. Once she had breathed as far in as she could, she shouted "Get away from him!" as she launched the gust of wind from her mouth at the nearest mounted ranger, also just barely catching a second in the blast. Both riders, stunned by the magical attack, struggled to stay mounted, with the closer one falling off his horse entirely, with the sound of some bone cracking as he was forced onto the ground. He was still likely alive, but he probably wouldn't feel like getting up anytime soon.
The second ranger wasn't hit as hard, and so he caught himself as he fell, still hitting the ground, but able to cushion the fall, and so he began to string an arrow from behind the horse, preparing it for the odd girl that had... breathed magic? He shook his head despite the oddity of the action. They were dealing with some sort of rabbit man, after all. It was probably nothing to be concerned about.

And just like a hair in the soup (or more like a most welcome hair in this rancid soup), a young woman with purple hair came to try and stop these hunters from turning poor old Theo into a voodoo doll. She definitely seemed surprised at the sight of Theodore's... well, his ears really, I mean come on. However, her first reaction to try and stop them instead of being like most humans who either run in fear or attack due to fear, humans seem to let fear control them a lot more than taguels...
Not very suprisingly, the leader of the band of nitwits didn't seem like he was going to be persuaded by the timid's girl words. Sighing softly, Theodore started to laugh as he saw just how much these hunters were acting out irrationally. I'm just a guy with long ears and a tail! Well, I do also turn into a giant rabbit able to cut your body in two, but that's just a small thing, really.... Theodore was taken out of his inner thoughts as he saw the young woman start to inhale very deeply... Was she going to hold her breath like kids d- OH OK, GIANT AIR GUSTS, YEAH SURE OKAY WHATEVER I'LL ROLL WITH IT.
Seeing that the leader was obviously distracted by his two men being thrown of their mounts. Theodore decided to take the opportunity to do something he wanted to do to this man for a while... Removing his glove from one of his hands, he said softly in a menacing tone: "To get back on topic however, I will concede on one thing...
The bigger monster here is definitely me."
As the man turned around, Theodore's hand had already reached out and grabbed him by the head. Theo's body started to shake and be envelopped in a dark energy, almost making him impossible to see. The hand on the man's head was getting bigger, longer, sharper... Driving him to the ground in one easy motion, the shroud of blackness disapeared as shiny red eyes pierced through it, revealing a giant bunny with fur as white as the winter snow. Sounds of the claws sinking in his skull could be heard quite well even through the cries for help coming from the soon-to-be flesh bag. "GAH! H-HELP ME! I DON'T WANNA D-" Staying silent, Theodore got up on his back legs to look around at the two remaining rangers. Suddenly, both of them aimed at him, forgetting the young girl. And at least, this time fear was a justifiable response. Very... justifiable.
Feeling an arrow graze his shoulder, he looked at the ranger off of his horse, staying silent. The feeling of being stung by a mosquito wasn't enough for him to physically react. He even ignored his attacker, prefering to go for the other one first. Guys on horses offer a bigger challenge, it's more fun like that. The definitely scared expression on the rider was pretty much expressing what everybody was probably feeling right now.
He was gonna have a bad time.

As Aea was recovering from her windy assault on the two rangers, she was preparing to dodge the arrows of the one hiding behind his horse. However, the time never came, as Theo underwent his transformation, easily dispatching the sword wielding man, and drawing the attention of the other rangers. By the gods... He can transform into a... giant rabbit? Hmm, that's rather curious. I assumed that dragons and manaketes were the only ones that were able to do anything of the sort... I wonder if I should bring up, well, what I really am with him.. I should probably make sure he can be trusted first. I'll judge that once this is all over.
As the stranger, now turned giant rabbit, moved towards the others, Aea felt her stomach churn a bit. She'd never actually needed to kill anyone before, and especially after seeing the first ranger brutalized, she preferred to not have to see the others dealt with similarly, not to mention she didn't really want to get too close to them anyway, seeing as they could easily I've power her, and at this point it would be hard to attack them effectively from her current position, given the multiple horses, and one ranger using his as cover now. She was just hoping that it would be over relatively quickly, and that the rabbit stranger wouldn't drag their deaths out longer than needed. Looking away, she began thinking to herself, If this is how humans react to these taguel people, I can only imagine how imagine would be ten times worse if my own heritage were to be known... I just hope if it ever comes to me needing to shift, it's a very secluded area, or else absolutely imperative that I have to shift...

Rapidly dashing towards the mounted ranger, he was able to dodge the incoming arrow with relative ease. Not only that but the man's aim was kind of off thanks to the fear Theodore had created on the battlefield. Ah! For too long, I have put this off... To let my wild side run free! They'll both feel my fury! Jumping high in the air, the bunny crashed into the horse, clawing hard his neck, riping out veins and bits of bone in only a few hits. His razor sharp claws were no match to the horse's weak skin. The three of them crashing on the grass, Theodore did not give a single care in the world, simply raising himself in a matter of seconds, staring down the man. If he had been able to, his grin would've probably raised so high, it'd get stuck up there on his face. Feeling the typical bloodlust and primal desires most taguels felt in their more animal form, Theodore was definitely enjoying his slow walk towards the man stuck his horse from his waist down. As he pulled out a dagger, he was able to cut Theo's chest thanks to the element of surprise. As red liquid started to taint his magnificent coat of fur with a slowly darkening crimson, a low guttural sound could be heard as the giant creature loomed over the man who was now too scared to move anymore. With both claws, he dug deep inside of the chest cavity, gripping the ribcage to rip it out almost like a blooming flower. What? You didn't know I was an artist too?
Blood spurting all across him had tainted his entire fur. Not really caring about how he looked right now, which believe me, is a rare sight to behold, he turned around to look at the final ranger... One final kill in this hunt. He would've liked a bit more challenge, but eh, shapeshifting bunny men can't be choosers right? Hold on, that's not how that human saying goes... Eh, whatever, IT'S MURDER TIME!
Deciding he was gonna enjoy this last one a bit more, he turned back into his human form. The arrow he had took earlier was now nothign more than a small scratch thanks to the difference in size compared to his animal form. Picking up the bow off the dead ranger, Theodore was happy to be back in his element. Aiming straight for the man's head, he was cut off short as his opponent was slightly faster than him. Ducking under the projectile, Theodore said in a playful tone:"Fine then, I'll simply kill you with more flair if that's what you want..."
Using his bunny legs to propel himself higher, he first jumped onto the dead horse before making a long jump in the ranger's direction. As he was still soaring through the air, he let out a singular arrow dig deep inside of the man's leg, making him fall to his knees. Dashing towards him, Theodre jumped a final time to divekick directly onto his face. Oh, and slit his throat with his dagger, that too (although it is much less theatrical than that epic kick, so who really cares...)
Dropping the knife, he looked down to his clothes... Damn, they were kindof ruined now... The slash from the other bandit had not only cut it down the middle, but it was now soaked with blood. Not a dangerous amount, but still enough to ruin the fabric. "Aw man! I really liked this suit..."
Turning around to look at the girl who had helped him, he simply raised his hand and gave a big ol' smile, almost like he hadn't just murdered three guys while under some kind of feral rage... "Well, didn't you show up at the perfect moment... Guess I should thank you for helping, right? Rarely do I see someone not run away in horrow at the sight of me..."

Hearing the silence following the deaths of the rangers, Aea turned back towards the rabbit man. Gods.. he butchered those three rangers like it was nothing at all... He hardly even got a scratch on him. At least, no serous ones. That's, um, actually kind of terrifying, especially for a large rabbit. Um.. what do I even say to him when he- Oh god, he's over here already! Stay calm, Aea, stay calm? Just play it cool... Don't act like an idiot...
After hearing the stranger thank her, Aea responded, "Well, heheh, you know, it isn't really every day that I run into someone that can do somewhat similar things like-" Aea immediately halted her speech, going wide-eyed and covering her mouth with her hands. Aea. Shut. Up. Just introduce yourself like a normal human being would. Stop acting so suspicious, dammit! Continuing her speech, Aea said, "So, uh, yeah! M-my name is Aea, and I guess you could say I'm kinda from this region. I m-mostly wander around, but I much prefer the wide open plains of Sacae over some other places in Elibe."
Making it a mild point to stare at the strangers ears and feet for a bit, Aea added, "S-So, what might your name be, if you don't me asking? And, um, you're a taguel, right? I've heard vague tales of your kind, but I'm not sure I'm all that familiar. No rude intentions or anything, but I've never exactly seen one in all my time on Elibe thus far."
Gods, please just ignore the first thing I said... Please don't bring it up... I've never slipped up about that before, so why now?

Somewhat similar things? Ohohohohoho... AHAHAHAHAH! Oh boy, if she thinks she's getting away after saying that... She doesn't look like a taguel... So if she can shiftshape... Hmm, interesting. The way she had covered her mouth and gave a look of true horror certainly didn't help making Theo want to pry deeper into the subject. Oh man, the shy and innocent ones are always the funniest. She then went on by presenting herself in a very clumsy way to try and act as if she hadn't just said something forbidden. Normally Theo didn't care much for people, but this girl way much too mysterious to ignore her...
"To answer your first question, my name is Theodore, or rather should I say, it is the alias I go by in this human territory, taguel names are usually easy to discern, you see? I'm already in big troubles with those long ears of mine, I have to hide my lineage as best as I can. Though hiding it now seems rather pointless now that you've seen my animal traits.
Inching ever so closely to her, Theodore's face quickly started to grin as he wondered what exactly she meant earlier... Slowly starting to walk circles around her, he tried to look for anything a human would have... Tail, claws, scales... Hmm, she did seem pretty human but it was obvious she wasn't a regula person. "Look, I think I'll spare you the embarassement and tell you it's pointless to try and act as if you didn't say what you said. You were unlucky enough to fall upon the most curious taguel of them all! Snickering a bit as he continued to look for out of place body parts, Theo started to get closer to her until he was in arm's reach in front of her.
"Just as a tip when you want to act normal, acting all embarassed and nervous is definitely not the way to go, shapeshifter girl. Or at least, I assume that's what you meant before stopping to talk... Judging by your age, half-taguel wouldn't be possible, contact in between species hasn't happened for this long... A curse perhaps? Ohoho... You are a mysterious one, little Lady."

Aea grew concerned as the curious taguel moved closer to her, inspecting for what she assumed to be anything inhuman about her. Theo would have been out of luck, except for the fact that whilst continuously turning to keep her eyes on him, her somewhat long, pointed ears would have been noticeable just enough to confirm the suspicions of the rabbit man. Not realizing that her ears had been shown a bit, or just not caring at this point, Aea responded to Theo, "I'm not a taguel, or anything related to a taguel, just so you're aware. A-and I am certainly not under any curse that I'm aware of. Why are you so... intrusive towards someone you've just met?"
Thinking over what to say to Theo next, Aea began trying to back away from him a bit, getting ready to break for it if necessary. Her next words became very defensive, and it became apparent that there was a faint growl to her speech, almost like a low undertone to her words. Some of the blades of grass around her also seemed to shudder a bit, despite there being not a single breeze, but nothing occurred beyond that. "Y-you know, it isn't good to pry this much into things you don't know about! This is something I've never told more than a single soul in my entire life, and you expect me to just spit it out to you of all people, who I just watched slaughter three Sacaeans like it was nothing!"
Aea tried to calm herself down, her breathing laced with mild growling, and she tried speaking again with a comparatively calmer voice. "L-look, it's not that I'm exactly trying to act hostile, it's just that I don't know for sure that I can trust you. I don't know who you have connections to, or how easily you might be bribed with coin. I suppose I might tell you, but only if you could somehow prove to me that you can keep a secret that could very easily lead to my own death."

"Why am I being intrusive? Oh! This must mean the truth behind what you really are is extremely juicy then if you're being this defensive! Now I'm even more intrigued... But to actually answer your question, I'm like this with everybody, I don't really give much care to stuff like etiquette or social norms" as he kept a smile on his face, he stopped trying to circle the girl since she was simply turning as to not show her backside or sides... Hmm, maybe another time then.
Suddenly, the young girl started to back away, her words becoming extremely defensive. He couldn't do anything but laugh at her. I mean, really. THis girl is probably the worst at keeping secrets if she just goes around saying things like that... Breathing deeply to be able to talk, he slowly started to reply after she had calmed herself: "You do realise all you're doing is digging yourself into a deeper hole, right? You might not be telling me your secret, but you sure are hyping it up very well. Imagine now if that was your actual goal! Man, I'd have to hire you as my spokeswoman for my future business! I mean, saying this secret could lead to your death is probably the best way to make people even more curious!"
*sigh* Fiiine, I guess I won't be getting any answers from you soon... Well then, guess I'll simply stick with you until you DO feel safe to tell. Oh, and this is non negociable, unless you transform right now to be quick enough to run away from me... Well, unless what you DO turn into isn't that quick... Ah man, the possibilities are so plentyful it's making excited just thinking about it."
Looking down at him, he realised something. He was soaked in blood, and a lot of it. Welp, this suit's life is over... Thinking about it, he realised that this probably wasn't helping with making him look trustworthy. "I will admit that I should've probably removed these ruined clothes before talking to you... I almost look like a degenerate wearing these! Give me a second, if you would, I think I need to patch myself up" Removing his satchel, he was happy to find that he still had a change of clothes despite having lost most of the things he had back at that village. Quickly removing his bloody shirt and vest, he wipped away most of the blood he could before using parts of the fabric that weren't dirty to cover his wound. After making those makeshift rags, he pulled out a frilly white shirt that he'd normally wear under everything else, but this would sadly have to do for now. Not only that, but the his fur was sticking out of a few places now that he didn't have the outer layer of his usual outfit. Shaving all of it was a hassle since it would grow back very quickly, so using a lot of clothing was usually the safer bet. Removing a hooded cape from one of the rangers, he crammed it into the satchel in case more humans would show.
"There we go now, much better. So! Where were you headed on this fine day, Aea?"

Oh, great. Now you've done it, Aea. He's just gonna keep following you around now. Better hope he really is trustworthy, cause it sounds like he's gonna a find out one way or another. Aea seemed somewhat uncomfortable at Theo's proposition, but also saw no way out of it, and so, after a bit of shuffling around in place, she answered him. "Well, if you must know, I was headed towards the general area of Bern. Why? I have no clue. As I mentioned earlier, most of my recent years have simply been spent wandering. Half the time, I don't even do much beyond make small talk with people and play my instrument. Come to think of it, it does get rather lonely sometimes when I'm travelling out on the road... B-but that's not me saying I'm happy that you're coming along, alright?"
Pausing for a moment before beginning to walk down the road, Aea said. "You know, it actually gets rather bland at times, I suppose. For much of my life, I've done nothing but wander and blend in, but I've never been able to, well, show my true colors, as it were, thanks to humans mainly. I'm not saying they're the root of all my problems, but had some things not happened in the past, I may be living a very different life right now..." Aea decided you interject before Theo could have a chance to respond like she thought he might. "And yes, I'm aware this is likely only enticing you more as to what exactly I am, but I might as well get that off my chest, seeing as you've already narrowed down that I'm not human".
Turning around to Theo, Aea decided to ask a similar question. "So, uh, what exactly were you doing out here with all those rangers? And where were you headed for?"
Hmm, maybe he can be trusted... He can shift like me, even if he isn't a dragon. He might be able to understand what I'm talking about, at least to an extent... Hmm...

Yep, although I like to say we're all monsters in a way, humans definitely have their own special ways to really be pigs. Maybe they just don't have enough maturity as a species yet. Guess that's one good thing about taguels when we're not going at each other's throat all day, we rarely let petty things like greed take over us. Though we're probably even more prideful than them in a way... ugh. As she mentionned how she was traveling to Bern with no general goal, Theodore wondered what "her recent years" meant. She could have an extremely long livespan for all he knew like taguels! Or maybe an extremely short one... Hmm, that'd be no fun.
He was also pleased to learn that his assumption about her was correct. Eh, she's already starting to learn how to counter my own comebacks, this is going to be fun... She then went and asked what he was doing with those oafs who called themselves "hunters". You know, sometimes, I even ask myself that.
"Well you see, I'm a travelling merchant. I make weapons and tools myself, then i walk everywhere I can trying to sell them. Sadly, it seems like the sight of my ears distracted these people about how well crafted my blades are... I even lost my favorite bow back there! Well, long story a tiny bit shorter, they were tracking me down, thinking I was some kind of monster who captures children to bring them back in my evil lair. Which is completely stupid, I mean, if I had an evil lair why would I let people know about it? It's like nobody here knows how to kidnap someone...
You know, I continue trying to find decent human beings but the more time I spend, the more I realise how rare they truly are."
While that statement was true, he mostly said it to empathize with her. Actually trying to act relatable usually helped when trying to forge a bond of trust.

As Theo explained who he was and what he did to Aea, she seemed to realize he was actually pretty normal to some degree. Though she still didn't quite trust him, his words were very convincing, and whether they were a lie or not, or somewhere in between fact and fiction, Aea couldn't really tell for certain. And yet again, when he started to empathize with her, she found herself being won over a bit, even if he did still seem a little shady at best.
"You almost stole the words straight from my mouth. It seems like every human or two that I come across that's genuinely nice and good-hearted, I come across another ten or more that are cruel and horrible. I can't understand how human beings have lived for this long when they've behaved as such by and large. It's always another war following an old war, that just leads into an even bloodier war. War, war, and more damn war! I swear, sometimes I wonder if that's all that a lot of humans know to do."
Taking a bit of a breather from her rambling, she turned back to Theo and asked, "Are there any humans where you're from? I hope not, or at least hope they're very different from the ones of Elibe. I like to think there's some people and places that haven't been swept up in the fires of human conquest, their immense greed and pride, or their passionate xenophobia. I know I speak in broad strokes, but in my time, I've seen more that fit the mold than those who break it."
Why do I feel like this is the first person I'm able to almost totally open up to? He seems shady, and hell, I only just met him, and yet I feel I can connect with him on a level that no human could ever provide. I suppose I'll have to keep seeing how he reacts...

OOOH! Did I just here somebody mention WAR!?!??! Oho! Little Miss seems to be even more interesting than i thought! Although I'll admit I have a different take on the matter, or rather I should say, a complete lack of fucks to give about it. Though seeing her get genuinely angry about it definitely makes me happy. Yes! Show me that fire inside of your belly! Roar it loudly! Hehe... I think I'd probably follow this one even if she wasn't a walking mystery box..."After that, she asked him if humans existed in Vinland too. Taking a step back and calming down, he decided to try and put out her flames too a bit: "Slow down there bucko. While no, humans do not live in Vinland, that doesn'T really matter. I see you've got some anger against alright, but really, taguels aren't any better so I'm sorry, you won't be able to make humans seem worse in comparison. While humans are filled with greed and fear of the unknown, taguels make up for it with their pride and total lack of understanding for new ideas and philosophies. There's a reason our race hasn't advanced at all when compared to the strides humans have made in magic, alchemy and other sorts of fields of research. Most of us despise using metal tools, for Earth Mother's sake! While Elibe might be a place of eternal war, Vinland is a land of stagnation."Noticing they were still talking next to the freshly killed corpses, Theodore realised that it probably wouldn't be long until other humans would show up, either by accident or sent out by that god-forsakken village... "However, while I am completely adoring this little chat of ours, I think it'd be a good idea to try to get away from this crime scene. Wouldn't want people actively chasing you like me, now would you? Bern was your destination, correct?"

Aea frowned a bit as Theo described the lack of humans where he was from, along with the race-wide faults of his own people. "Well, that's quite the shame. I suppose the last of the reasonable people must have died out during the Scouring or something then." It was clear that Aea meant something more with her statement, but it was vague enough to be difficult to tell, especially if Theo didn't know what the Scouring even was, which she was banking on. Maybe on Vinland, they aren't aware of what happened to the dragons way back when. Hell, maybe they don't even know dragons exist, just like most humans believe.
Taking note of Theo's extremely valid point of the corpses of the four rangers still lying strewn about in the grass, Aea nodded."Y-yes, of course! Let's get going then. And yes, I was headed to Bern. No part of Bern in particular. Just, well, not Sacae. As much as I love it here, it's nice to get a change in scenery every year or few years or so. I'm sure you understand. You're obviously widely traveled if you've come all the way from Vinland. I'd say we should get at least a few miles away, and then consider where to set up a simple camp for the night, or if we'll even just trudge through the dark to get more distance. I suppose it depends on how we both feel, after all."
Okay, okay. This is really weirding me out now, the fact that I'm able to just talk so casually with this stranger. This isn't normal for me. Maybe it's just his mannerisms, or his way of speaking. Eh, who knows? I suppose I won't complain. The more comfortable I am, the less likely I am to slip up again from nervousness...

Scouring? The hell is she on about? Sounds like a fairy tail title if you ask me...
Keeping in mind that name for later, Theodore let his mind wander as he spoke out loud: "Ah yes, Bern. The place is quite lovely. I remember the first time I got up close to a wyvern. Suprisingly enough, the thing was actually pretty friendly despite beign rough around the edges a little. Almost like any woodland critter." Looking back at Aea, he realised something. A few miles!?!? Psshhaah, I think she forgot who she's talking to, that girl.
Grinning a bit, he started getting closer to her while twirling the tip of his ear with one of his finger. Taking an exagerated bow to add on to his typical display of theatrics, Theodore couldn't help but start speaking as if the person before him was a noble of royal descent: "But my Lady Aea... Have you forgotten who are you are talking at this very moment? For it would only take me a tenth of the time of regular walking to travel the same distance, and that's with a passenger, I've tested in the past. If you'd prefer, I could get us very far away from here. Oh, also I'd like to add that my fur is probably softer than any animal's you've petted in your life."

Raising his head to look at her while keeping his body bowed, he asked one more time: So? What do you say? Take your time, I imagine riding a bunny wasn't a thing you thought was possible...until now that is.
