Dimino rushed past Kyra as she ended up dodging his charge and rolled right past him. To be honest, he was really glad that she at least knew how to work around both defensive and offensive positions. But he knew that she still needed help with training. He knew that she would end up a great warrior in no time. "Well done Kyra!" he said. "One more thing. There is some places that sell special blades that give you the upper hand against lances called Lancereavers. I don't have in on hand to show you sadly, but maybe if you have the chance, you might pick one up for yourself if you think you want some more help" he said.
As he felt the mock strike on his back from Kyra, he couldn't help but beam a huge smile on his face. He then stopped and lowered his lance and shield. "I think that deserved a small break, what do you think?" he asked her. Though he himself wasn't that tired, he didn't know if Kyra would need another break or not. "Maybe I can tell you a bit about my own tribe in Nabata while we rest" he said.
Dimino put his lance and shield to his back as he faced Kyra again. "As I told you, I came from my tribe in Nabata. There, we valued combat second, and peace above all. We were fairly well known to have many powerful mercenaries and wondering warriors from our tribe because of our tough training that we men receive at the age of 7. I obviously am one of those men that were trained. One day though, I tried to challenge my instructor to a duel but was defeated in combat. I knew that I would have to get stronger if I ever hopped to become worthy of being a powerful warrior. He then sighed as he continued. "In our tribe, there is a spear that supposedly houses the spirit of our tribes guardian within it. The lance as we call it is the Giraiá Lans. It is said that on the day that one of us returns to the tribe and proves ourselves, one may receive the guardians blessings." He smiled as he had a determined look on his face. "Some day, I hope to return to my tribe so that I may prove how much of a powerful warrior I've become" He then relaxed some. "So...what other dreams do you possibly have?" he then asked Kyra.

Huh.. lancereavers. I think I've heard of those before. Might have to look into those to save myself trouble in the future... Satisfied with her accomplishment of getting a hit off on Dimino, Kyra now noticed how exhausted she'd gotten trying to out think and out maneuver the large man. "Yeah, a break sounds nice, if you don't mind. I'd love to hear more about your tribe!" As Dimino turned to face her again, Kyra sat, enthralled by the explanation of a culture completely separate from her own, and yet not all that different in some respects despite being on the other end of the continent.
Kyra was snapped out of her state of wonder when Dimino asked what sorts of dreams she possibly had. Dreams... As the word echoed in her mind, she relived the dream she'd had the morning after the events near Bonerock Cave as if it was sped up. Contemplating those monotone, echoed words again, Kyra decided to bring it up after much hesitation. "Alright, so I know this might sound a bit weird. In fact, it's going to sound weird. I had a dream a little while back where I saw... something. What it is doesn't really matter too much, I don't think. But towards the end of the dream, there were words echoing in my mind in a certain order: Clean.. slate.. Lycia.. Bern.. ruins. Do you have any idea what that sort of thing might mean? I kinda tried to just push that dream away as nothing, but now that I think again, I'm not too sure..."

Dimino listened as Kyra explained what her dream was. "Clean...slate...Lycia...Bern...ruins? Dimino repeated to himself. Honestly, those words sounded like something the Oracle would have said back in his tribe, but what could they potentially mean? "I'm afraid that I don't have much knowledge on what that means...but clearly if you had a dream like that, it has to mean something..."
Dimino then paused, then he said "Perhaps...someone, or something is wanting you to get to a ruins somewhere...but where? From what you described, it could likely be either somewhere here in Bern, or somewhere in Lycia. He then paused again. Whatever it is, it could very likely mean something. "Perhaps...if you have a dream like that again, it could become more clear as to who, or what wants you somewhere for some reason or another. he said.
Dimino then stretched as he looked around. "Well whatever those words mean, I'm certain it will become clear sometime in the future" he said. "So...do you want to keep resting some? I can tell you a bit more about my tribe. Or we can train some more or should we start heading towards you village?" he then asked. Honestly, he was curious as to what her village was like. He already seen some of Lycias culture during his travels. Perhaps he'll be able to expand his knowledge by visiting other places. Though he was still somewhat intrigued at what Kyra said about her dream. It almost sounded like someone...or something was calling out to her. But who, or what? Perhaps they'll find the answer during their travels. He was tempted to ask if he could travel with her to help her find the answers as well, but he decided to save it for another time.

As Dimino started to try to figure out what the dream meant, Kyra was thinking about it more herself. Someone or something wants me in some kind of ruins? Hm.. probably. I'm stumped on the location though... The whispers said both Lycia and Bern, but which is it? Is it somehow both? How though? Ugh, that dream was just... confusing more than anything. Well, guess I should get back to reality for now, rather than debate the metaphysical with myself... Taking a breath, Kyra responded once Dimino finished up regarding the dream. "Yeah, I'm hoping that it will reveal itself. I just hope it's sooner than later, cause it's been bugging me more and more since I had the dream."
When he asked what they should do next, Kyra spoke up again, "Well, I'm feeling decently rested now, but I think I've had enough training to understand the gist of how lances work, and what I'll need to do if I want to better combat them in the future. I wouldn't mind hearing more about your tribe, though would you mind much if we talked while we head back to my home town? Oh, and just for the record, it may be a nitpick, but Lucerne is actually the second largest city in Bern, so it's far from a village, I'd say! Don't worry about it though, I'm just being overly specific."
Kyra had to admit that it was nice having someone on the road with her, especially since Alphonz and Lunie were both back in Lucerne. She hoped that they were doing alright without her. She'd felt bad about leaving only a day or so after what happened near Bonerock, but she didn't want to miss the opportunity to see the Tournament of Arms, given she might not have the opportunity to do so in the future.

Dimino smiled as he lifted his helm to reveal his face again. "Alright, lets head to your city then. " he said. He still wondered what it meant by what Kyra said about her dream. It almost sounded like what the oracle in his tribe would say...maybe she could shed some light on what it means when he returns back to his tribe in Nabata?
He decided to talk more about his tribe to Kyra to help pass the time as they head on their way to her home town. "From what you describe it, my tribe is really small compared to your hometown of Lucerne. Our tribe had a fairly complex history to it...Some of us wanted to use our powerful military to expand and become a great nation of our own much like Bern here or Etruria. Others, including me, however felt that we needed to remain how we were. Bringing others to their knees won't bring peace for anyone. It will just encourage hate and peace would never be resolved. When I was only really young, like not even one year old yet, my mother...once told me that the dispute got so great about the viewpoints, that there was risk of our tribe being split and a civil war being insured within our own tribe." Dimino sighed as he continued to tell the history of his tribe. "There would have been if it wasn't for the council today. They offered an ultimatum. If the strongest warrior from their viewpoint defeated the champion of the tribe, whom held the viewpoint of peace, then the council would abdicate to them and the policies would have changed. The battle was fierce, but the champion prevailed and those who's views were for war were exiled from the tribe."
Dimino paused as he thought of what he heard from his mother those years ago. "Thus far, we have kept with our philosophy; have a strong military, and a stronger since for peace. But...honestly I feel that it'll only be a matter of time before those who strive for power eventually return and threaten the peace of not only my tribe, but potentially all of Nabata as well." He didn't want to reveal that the one responsible, and the one who fought the champion and lost, was his own father. Dimino felt it would only be a matter of time before he would have to deal with that threat once and for all...hopefully though, he can still keep his since for peace and perhaps...he could help protect his tribe from the dangers that would present to them.

As the pair began walking down what remained of the road to Lucerne, Kyra began listening to Dimino's tale of his small desert village, and how it had been wrapped up in a near civil war over an argument of ideals and philosophy. Sigh.. How strange it is that people can be so swayed by words and ideas that they turn on their own brethren just to prove a point. I hope I'm never like that, or even caught in that sort of conflict, for that matter. As he finished up, Kyra spoke herself, "You know, I sort of know what it's like for a place to be in that kind of turmoil. You see, if you weren't aware, Bern was, until pretty recently, in a bit of a civil war of its own, but one side was just being controlled by the Ilians, so I don't know if it's quite the same thing as what you're talking about."
Pausing for a moment, thinking what she'd say next, Kyra continued, "Well, it's good that those who stayed in your tribe embraced peace. The less all out war, the better, I'd think. And it's a good thing that the warmongers of your village were exiled. Good riddance to those guys, I'd say! They sound like a bunch of horrible people, from what you've said so far." Looking over at a roadside sign they were passing, Kyra saw the words LUCERNE - 2 MILES posted on it, with an arrow pointing the direction they were already walking. "Well, I guess we'll probably be there within the hour, Dimino! It was definitely nice sparring with you, I have to say. I think I learned a nice bit about fighting against lances, and learning about Nabatan culture a bit was fun too!"

Dimino couldn't help but let a smile cover his face. After all, it hasn't been since he was back in his tribe that he actually did spar with anyone. He then paused as he thought of what Kyra said earlier. "Clean...Slate...Lycia...Bern...Ruins....Thats it!" Dimino then exclaimed. "I think I got a rough idea as to who, or what wants you where. Perhaps they want you to go to the Lycian-Bernese borders!" he then said. It does seem to make sense, after all, he doesn't recall seeing any noticeable ruins in Lycia when he was passing through and he doesn't know anything about ruins in Bern. "I would offer to go with you but...something tells me that this is a challenge that only you can accomplish by yourself." he said as he started to walk again.
As he saw the sign ahead, he nodded as Kyra exclaimed how they were almost there. "Before we part though Kyra, take this." he said as he got out a medallion and handed it to Kyra. On the medallion, it had the tribal ensign that had an eagle holding a lance in one talon, a shield in the other talon, and an olive branch in its beak. Under the eagle were strange symbols that said Για να είναι ειρήνη πρέπει να είναι ισχυρή, να είσαι ισχυρή είναι να είσαι ειρηνική. Προστατέψτε τους αδύναμους και βοηθήστε τους φτωχούς, μην αφήσετε τον ισχυρό φοβερό αδύναμο και αφήστε την ειρήνη να σας βοηθήσει να ευημερήσετε. "In the tongue of my tribe, that says Gia na eínai eiríni prépei na eínai ischyrí, na eísai ischyrí eínai na eísai eirinikí. Prostatépste tous adýnamous kai voithíste tous ftochoús, min afísete ton ischyró foveró adýnamo kai afíste tin eiríni na sas voithísei na evimerísete. Which when translated to your language says To be at peace is to be strong, to be strong is to be at peace. Protect the weak and help the poor, don't let the strong bully the weak and let the peace help you prosper. This medallion proves that you are now a friend and ally to me and the rest of my tribe. He smiled again as he then said "Maybe next time, I can show you where my tribe is and meet the tribal elders and our chieftain."
