The inn was calm, and Yorick sat, polishing her weapons and her shield. The whole table in front of her was taken up by her equipment - heavy armor, now gleaming with a dull, matte sheen, and a large shield, with various intricate engraved monsters, showing her conquests, from Revenants to Gargoyles and most in between. Also cluttering the roughly hewn wooden slab were iron weapons, with keen edges, designed to be thrown - a hand axe and some javelins. In her hand was her mighty silver axe, its wide head designed with two edges, to cut on both forward and backward strokes. It was a common axe design, but she'd grown to greatly appreciate its versatility. Carefully, she honed its edge, admiring its bright luster, and experimentally lifted it before returning to cleaning, oiling, and polishing it. The other one should be arriving soon, if her memory served. He'd been one she'd worked with in the past, a swordsman, more slippery than tough but able to hold his own. He had some guts to him, and some wiry strength, she had to admit. She'd also put out a flyer: Monster Hunting in Worde
We, the Verdant Cross, are taking on a job to clear a Revenant problem. We seek your support to bolster our numbers, in exchange for compensation. Interested parties should meet at the Stump Inn at midday. So far, no one of note had showed up. One bowman, but he was quiet, busy reading a book or something like that. Nothing against reading, just... not her style. Bruce was there too, but he traveled with her. He was not a newcomer. "Hey, Bruce... Is it midday? Shouldn't the interested parties be showing up?"Yorick wasn't too familiar with these things. She preferred to kill monsters. That made more sense to her, and was easier. No mincing words or mistaking someone's meaning. It was just her and her foe. "I don't know, Yorick. Give them time."

Justin wandered into the inn shifting is bag a bit on his shoulder, he took a small look around the inn before taking a seat at an open table, he let out a yawn as he slung his bag onto the table and opened it. He carefully he went over his gear. "Hm... Going to need to get some more dried meats, also a river for some water." he thought aloud. He then checked over his map "Now where did I end up. Lets east went south from there." He looked over his map carefully, trying to recall his entire path. He then leaned back in his chair once he put his gear away, clearly now thinking. He would look upwards as she rocked in the chair. closing his eyes, he came pretty far out, or at least to himself he had, wandering around got tiresome of course but he didn't mind it much. Got him out to see a lot of things. Really he felt it best for himself, of course finding a stable source of money while being nomadic wasn't a simple matter. Finding odd jobs here and there did help but they never paid enough. He let out a small sigh as he checked his gold pouch. "Not a lot left in here. Better find some kind of job." He placed his feet back to the ground and looked around once more before returning to look over his map, and other pieces of paper he sprawled out onto the table.

Yorick watched as the door to the inn opened and the swordsman walked in. He'd been wandering about for a while, before they lost track of him, but now with him back around the General would be sure not to let him slip away once more.
"Bruce."
Then she went on polishing her weaponry, making the silver axe shine like a small sun under the light coming through the window. The keen edge was glistening with a thin sheen of oil, and she made sure that the grip was carefully wrapped. Once she was satisfied, she placed the axe down upon the table and picked up her iron axe. It was substantially lighter, and built to be thrown as well - a hand axe.
She turned, aimed carefully, and lobbed the axe, which flew humming over the seated swordsman's head before returning to her hand. As she caught it and slammed it down once more, Yorick rose to her feet and roared across the tavern.
"You good for nothing scoundrel! Here we are working and traveling and you just up and leave, and only come waltzing back when you please? This isn't a damned tour, this is a guild that exterminates monsters! If we didn't need living men to swing swords, I'd have kicked you out on the street! You try the good graces of Cordelia Imogen Yorick, co-leader of the Verdant Cross. What have you to say for yourself, you bum?!"
She was truly steamed now, and raised her arm, contorting her face into a grimace of rage, as she stalked up to the bar, pounding upon it with her fist in a manner that made even the hardened tavern keep cringe slightly.
"Get me an ale. NOW!"
Bruce stood up and walked over to Justin, shaking his head balefully.
"You shouldn't have ignored her, you know. Yorick's upset since nobody is really showing up, and you waltzing in without at least acknowledging her was kind of a bad move."
The mage gave a deep sigh.
"See any other takers out there on the road?"

Justin sighed with a shake of his head as he place his supplies and other goods back into a bag, a feeling coming over him. "Why do I suddenly get a feeling of murderous intent looming over my-" His words would be cut short by the hand axe flying over his head, himself drawing is a gasp as he slid his had to a throwing knife and sliding it out, palming it, ready to defend himself as kicked away from the table with a slide of the chair and turned to see Yorick holding the thrown axe. He let out a heavy sigh, but before he could speak Yorick began to give him an earful. 'Ohhh this is just not my day.' He shook is head a bit once Yorick finished speaking he turned to see Bruce also speaking with him. Once Bruce finish Justin wave his had a bit dismissively to Bruce. "No I really didn't notice anyone... and I'm sorry I didn't notice you both, I... I disappeared for... " he turned his head and sighed and clearly what he spoke weighed on him "I'll just... leave it at that I had somewhere very important to be for a ...anniversary I wish to forget."Justin sighed "Sorry I ran off like that, I wouldn't have if the event hadn't came up."He said as he strode over and sat next to Yorick. "Maybe Ill tell you the story some time."He said with a wave of his hand over his head.
"Still out hunting things though huh?"Justin said with a grin on his face that showed a strong confidence.
