I wasn’t quite sure where to ask this so I went here to suggestions but I was hoping to get some clarity on the spell Divine.
As it is for a Mage it’s fairly cut and dry. Fragments someone’s soul to create little followers that can tap into spells you know and the greater you delve into it you eventually get access to a ‘super summon’ that controls more than just a singular spell.
Now how will this work with magic weapons? The key difference for them is a quicker casting but not as much power and no real control. Even at third seal where more of this is gained it just doesn’t compare to a powerful Mage doing the same. Does this mean divine is incompatible with weapons or do you get the same basic effects with something ala Xenoblade Chronicles 2 at third seal? Since you aren’t fragmenting your own soul but rather the soul of the spirit within the weapon. And how much risk does that run of accidentally releasing the spirit inside if you let too much of it leak out? Or am I just overthinking it?

And a further question I had about magic weapons is, now that they can house multiple Magic’s what happens if you double up on the same spell? Or is that one of those things that won’t happen?
Because I can imagine an electric sword at dual thoron really benefitting from day the same flash step that a Mage would. And to get there it’s still upward of 400 if not a full 500 posts packed into a single weapon.

Uh... Technically a bump? I have no answer to this, but I was curious about it because I may or may not have been planning ahead as to what spell would be on a magic weapon I could buy. Divine seems cool, but I'm not sure if my mental image of someone just forming an Einherjar of the spirit within the weapon taking up arms to fight too is accurate or not.

Apologies for the lack of response, mod discussion is ongoing but has been slow to develop.
Divine in particular was always intended to have special magic weapon rules.
You can have, say, two Thoron swords with separate cooldowns, but magic weapons do not have access to tome's unique Mastery/Supremacy effects so there's no point in trying to replicate them.
